First time here to this location. Was very disappointed on the quality and taste of the sushi we ordered. Eveything was a bit soggy when we received it. It was like they were trying to cover up the taste of the fish. The quality wasnt the best and the fish didn't seem like it was fresh. Not sure if I would come back here to give them another chance. Over all its a nice well kept restaurant and the service was decent. The only thing was the taste and quality.

We were staying at a nearby hotel and found this place through Yelp. It was a rainy evening and there were only a few tables with diners. The restaurant is small and clean with plenty of parking in the lot. The fish was fresh and I would've given four stars except the chirashi bowl I ordered was very disappointing. More basic type fish and what really made it unenjoyable was an over saturation of sesame oil. I've noticed some sushi restaurants put sesame oil in their sushi rice, which I enjoy when it's light, but I had a very difficult time finishing the rice. I order chirashi bowls very often at sushi restaurants and I wouldn't order this one again. They have an extensive menu and the service was good. If I'm in the area again I would probably try a different sushi restaurant first before returning here.

We came here to happy hour at 2 pm and it was pretty empty. Their happy hour menu is such a good deal and is pretty extensive as well. We ordered the heart attack and deep fried California roll and it was so delicious and filling! The fish was fresh and tasty. They play football on the tv behind the bar which kept us entertained as well. The service was good and restaurant is very clean and calm.

Tera Sushi is one of those places where you walk in starving and leave wondering if you just had one of the best meals of your week. Every piece of sushi is fresh, well-balanced, and presented well enough. It's not just food, but a full experience. Coming in with an empty stomach was a great decision because everything, from the nigiri to the specialty rolls, was worth every bite. The cuts of fish are generous, and there's no skimping on quality. You'll leave full, happy, and possibly planning your next visit before you even get to the parking lot. The service is welcoming, and even during peak hours, things move smoothly. Whether you're a sushi purist or just here for a good meal, Tera Sushi is the kind of place that makes you appreciate the art of simple, well-made food.

First time stopping by for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. This place is a hidden gem. We walked in at 1215 and only 4 people were inside. Within 15 minutes, the place was packed and I can see why. The portions are generous, beautiful presentation, and the food tasted fresh. We will definitely be back to try some dinner options.

Tara Sushi in Corona might not be the biggest spot, but don't let that fool you--there's plenty of seating, and even though it was packed when we went, they sat us right away at the bar (my favorite place to sit at any sushi spot). Honestly, sitting at the bar just elevates the experience--you get to chat with the chef, ask questions, and really be part of the process. Our chef was amazing--super attentive, incredibly knowledgeable, and you can tell he's been perfecting his craft for years. Both he and our server went above and beyond with recommendations, and I had so much fun trying new dishes (especially from the specials menu). I didn't snap pics of everything we devoured, but trust me--we enjoyed everything. The quality here is exactly what I look for in sushi: fresh fish, beautifully balanced rolls, and just the right amount of rice (none of that overwhelming rice-to-fish nonsense). To top it off, I found out our chef used to work at another sushi spot I loved, which explains why everything was so on point. Bottom line: Tara Sushi is officially a new favorite. If you can, grab a seat at the bar--it's worth it for the experience alone. Fresh, flavorful, and genuinely welcoming--I'll absolutely be back.

Ordered off doordash since I was craving sushi. The baked salmon roll was good, but did not really care for the corona roll. The salmon roll had a weird aftertaste but was manageable. Would I order from here again? maybe not as there is better sushi elsewhere. Glad I got to try this place out though!

We've been missing out on some very nice tasting sushi. Now known as Tera, this sushi house has changed ownership and name since the last time we ate at this location. That had to have been several years ago, and we just didn't bother to give them a chance. But finally, I realized that many Yelpers were showing a liking to this business. I was needing to give them a chance. This is not AYCE. The first thing that got my firm approval was the fact that they use rice sparingly in their rolls. On the other hand, I found it very difficult to pick up each piece of my roll with my chopsticks without it deconstructing into a dozen pieces. That was the problem with one roll only, and I attribute that dilemma to a chef who had not wrapped it tightly enough and an outer layer of fish that did not entirely surround the outside. Out of necessity (and total indifference to tradition and propriety), I finally asked for a spoon and unapologetically scooped up the pile of individual rice grains, tempura pieces, and fish slices without further ado. My idea of eating sushi is not one grain of rice at a time with chopsticks. Our order was very satisfying. Of the 3 rolls we ordered, the one that excited me the most taste-wise was the Cilantro Forest Roll. Starting with a basic California Roll with crunchy shrimp tempura in the middle, then wrapped in salmon, the roll was then surrounded with a generous puddle of the most delicious citrus-y sauce. This was so, so good, I did not want to waste a single drop. And herein is where that aforementioned spoon came in quite handy. I can only regret the colorful topping, a towering haystack of raw red onion, that nearly ruined it for me. Next time, I'd prefer they just leave it off, please. We followed up with a second visit a few weeks later. Again, good food and aesthetic presentations. This time, Mr. B spent most of his "dime" on hamachi sashimi and uni. My choices included The Shrimp Tempura Roll and a Poke salad. The Poke was excellent; the chef's choice of raw fishes were ocean sweet and generous. The tempura roll was just as lovely. The tempura batter was great. My only disappointment was a Hamachi collar, a personal favorite of mine, that I brought home for the next day. It was rather small and definitely overcooked. It was hard to determine how fresh it really was. I've had better. My final takeaway is, both times we have eaten here, I have been delighted to see a lack of salty, pedestrian sauces that all but smother the rolls coming out of AYCE places. These sauces at Tera are flavorful and creative, the fish is fresh, and the menu is interesting. Good quality for the money. I will happily return.

My boyfriend and I ate here after helping my friend move. Needless to say, we had worked up an appetite. Our food came out in a timely manner and the servers were attentive and polite. If you're looking for fresh, good quality sushi, this is it. I would recommend 10/10.

We ordered takeout from this restaurant and were not disappointed. The quality of fish on the rolls was good and they packaged it well. We ordered 5 rolls and the total was about $90. We're paying Orange County prices but the quality is slightly below that. With that being said, however, I would say that this restaurant has one of the best quality of sushi I've had in the Corona area. Granted, it is an apples to oranges comparison as the places I would go to for good sushi are: Sushi Wasabi, Oshima (Orange location), and Sushi Shunka. But if I don't want to make the trek out the OC area, then this place will do fine. Granted, we didn't try the nigiri, but the fish from the rolls we got tasted pretty fresh. If I had one "gripe" it would be that they didn't put cucumbers in most of the rolls. I like to have a little bit of a crunchy texture when eating sushi rolls. read more

Sushi quality and presentation are top notch! I had the blue fin toro sushi and carpaccio, it was fresh and delicious. They had Spanish mackerel on special, which was excellent. Nujabes soundtrack playing helps set a nice ambiance. read more

We love this place! Staff is always happy to see you, they remember everyone and the sushi is fresh. They do not skimp on their portions either... if you want an all you can eat, cheap sushi place, don't go here. If you want fresh quality fish, a great experience and awesome meal...head to Tera. read more

We were pleasantly surprised! Never heard of this place until someone recommended it to us. We decided to try it and found the place rather "hidden" from busy traffic. Walked in and saw the restaurant was almost full! It was definitely a good sign. Ordered chef's special, eel crunchy (don't remember its real name", and another roll (also forgot what it was called). One thing we can say: the food is definitely great!!! Our server was Alex, and he was great too! We will be back! read more

My parents just moved up to this area, when I come to visit my mom and I ALWAYS go to sushi. We tried a couple other places before finding this GEM!! When I tell you this is the best sushi around--- it is!! Staff is soooo friendly and remember us every time!! Sushi tastes like the bill should be 400-500 and it's not!!!! Thank me later!!! And ask for the albacore sushi with the truffle oil in the side, Mix it with the soy sauce then pour over the top --- !! Also, the Thai coconut shrimp roll is practically dessert, never had peanut butter taste in sushi, but BOYYYYYYYY it is SOOOOO good!!! read more

Food is fresh and comes out at a good pace. We ordered shrimp tempura appetizer and cucumber snomono to start. We wanted to try various dishes but definitely ordered more than two people can eat in a sitting. Highly recommend as the atmosphere is light and good music plays while enjoying a nice lunch. I finally had the chance to eat inside the establishment a few days ago and the food was amazing! I have always gotten it to go so it was nice to just instantly get my sushi. The baked mussels were warm and flavorful. I got a salmon roll and shrimp nigiri. Very simple sushi but that is what I like. They were very refreshing and crisp. The rice was perfectly made and the atmosphere overall was enjoyable. Highly recommend a visit. read more

Second time coming here - had lunch this time. Selections chosen were tasty and fresh. Too bad they didn't have the uni but something else was ordered and satisfied the sushi cravings. Their sashimi sampler was fresh. Service impeccable, ambience quiet since it's lunch time and a super hot day, and actual place has ample parking, aesthetics were on par with cuisine advertised and overall?? Will add to my list of go to to sushi places. read more

Sashimi is sooo fresh, decoration and visuals of the food are all amazing, and service is top-notch. The friendly environment and comfortable interior also help us to enjoy our food in peace. Woooooo we love the new menu!!!! And the staff is wonderful! We liked the previous sushi place that was here but the new owners have stepped it up to a whole new level! The music was so entertaining too, I was bee-bopping all through dinner! We tried a few new things. The lobster roll, the blue crab hand roll was super delish, the albacore sashimi with crispy onion is probably my favorite. And we tried the tempura cheesecake with green tea ice cream and YUM! I came here because I saw that it had so many good reviews and the food looked good from other people's reviews. The ambiance was cool, it was nicely decorated. My friend and I got there around 4 and were the only ones in the restaurant, so the service was great. The food itself was okay, I think a lot of the rolls are a bit overpriced compared to other places nearby. I wouldn't have minded the price if the food was amazing but it was just okay. Idk, maybe my expectations were too high or maybe I came in at a bad time? read more

I was nervous coming in here because I had not been here since the previous owners but they are INCREDIBLE! I've been eating sushi since I was 3 years old and have been to places all over and TERA Sushi really impressed me! I tried two of their TERA must tries and I could not have been happier they are developing their own menu and so far I am a huge fan! The sushi chef Chris is so kind and friendly and takes requests and makes amazing sushi! Irene works serving and really makes an effort to know the customers! Came here on a whim to try it out and I have to say I loved the flavors of the yellowtail fire roll but the star of the show was the albacore carpaccio 100/10 tasted so fresh and the crispy onions were the cherry on top shout out to the chef for making it extra delicious I'll definitely be coming back to try other rolls read more

Ok this place is a hidden GEM! A friend recommended it to me and it's close to home. So my BF and I decided to give it a shot. When I say everything we ordered was amazing...that is an understatement. All the food was so fresh. The sushi chef was so chill too. He communicated with us and asked us what we liked. It's a small restaurant so he was chatting with us from behind the sushi bar to our table. We ordered garlic edamame, seasoned, seared blue fin tuna, mango tango roll and one other roll. I can't remember the name of it but it came with a whole avocado! Oh and don't forget the FRESH WASABI!! We will definitely be back and found our new sushi spot for sure! My mouth is watering just thinking about it now! read more

Today was my third time going back to Sushi Tera since my first time there. Today, in addition to my husband, I went with my daughter and her friend and ordered garlic edamame as an appetizer. My daughter, who doesn't like sushi that much, ordered an avocado roll and Beef Teriyaki for dinner, and my daughter's friend and husband ordered premium sushi and rolls. Still sushi. It was fresh, and all the staff remembered us and treated us kindly, so we were most grateful. Today was an evening that lived up to our expectations, and we are grateful to all the staff at Tera who prepared such a meal. read more

First time here. Super delicious, everything was really fresh. Not to crazy about the bento box... the sushi is definitely the STAR of this place. The Tuna tartare was awesome we also got the cilantro roll, Japanese burrito amazing, then we got a garlic roll can't remember the name but holly molly amazing!!!! read more

Came to this restaurant because it had such good reviews. We arrived around 730 on a Saturday night and the restaurant was empty. That's pretty unusual for a highly rated sushi restaurant. The staff was friendly and our food arrived with a beautiful presentation. Sadly, it was all show. I had the sashimi salad. The vegetables were fresh and crisp but the sashimi had a slightly chewy texture and fishy taste. Not what I'm accustomed to in a quality restaurant. I ended up picking out the vegetables and leaving all the sashimi. The staff was kind and removed the sashimi salad from our bill, when I indicated that I was not satisfied. Now I'm sitting in a Mexican restaurant eating chips and salsa, trying to get the fishy taste out of my mouth. read more

We LOVE Tera. This quickly became our favorite neighborhood sushi spot in Corona coming out of the pandemic. The service is warm, friendly, and inviting. The sushi quality is always spectacular. Our favorites are the garlic edamame(add white rice, you'll thank me later), lobster roll, crispy tuna with ginger and jumbo shrimp, yellowtail collar, and we always get the bluefin toro sushi. Tera will become your favorite sushi place too! read more

Tera Sushi is a hidden gem in Corona! We go often enough that the servers know us, and every visit is a great experience. The sushi is made fresh to order and always absolutely delicious. We arrived just before 5pm and there was only one other table. We were told to sit anywhere we'd like. By the time we left, the restaurant was filling up and it seemed like there were quite a few regulars coming in. Here's what we tried: Salted edamame: Just average. A bit limp and not as crisp as I'm used to, so they didn't feel especially fresh. Gyoza: Really nice flavor and the dipping sauce was well balanced. These were solid.
