You literally cannot go wrong with whatever you order. It seems to be family-owned, which is great. They are always all so nice to you when you order. They prep things in small portions which I like because you get through it fast (their lunch rush is crazy!) and you always have fresh ingredients in your food. A family owned restaurant, they are only open 4 hours a day (11kam-3pm), and mostly cater to the college crowd from across the street (get there early, or get there late, whatever you do, stay away from 12-2pm. A little disappointed at the "veggie" offerings. You get things like lettuce and corn, rather than bok choy, green cabbage, mushrooms, or squash/zucchini. But what they have is adequate, barely. The chicken, particularly (didn't try the beef or pork), was delicious, with a nice grilled flavor. We got our food to go. Once home, I dumped the bowl into a larger dish and mixed it up for a real meal. Def my new go to place. read more

We had to give this place a try after it was recommended to us. It's sort of like a Chipotle-style "pick-and-choose" concept restaurant but they also have set bowls you can choose from. I decided to go with a Bulgogi bowl on Sweet Potato Noodles which came out to about $12. You're given the option of selecting 4 veggies and I went with Corn, Pickled Onions, Broccoli and Kim Chee. In a city that doesn't have a ton of quality Asian options, this is a very unique spot with legit food. It is a Chipotle style "build your own bowl" spot with a relatively limited menu. All of the meats (chicken, spicy pork, beef bulgogi) are $10.99 for a base, 4 veggies, your choice of protein, then sauces. Vegetarian options also available. Personally, I went with the salad base with beef bulgogi, kimchi, cucumber kimchi, broccoli, and pickled jalapenos. I got the jalapeno soy sauce along with the gochujang sauce. The quality of the food is outstanding. Super fresh food with high quality meat/vegetables. For spice lovers like myself, I got the hottest options they had to offer and it wasn't overly spicy at all, but left you with a slight tingle. My lone gripe with the spot was the portion size. I get that we're definitely talking about clean eating, but one would hope not to be hungry after spending $13 for lunch at a cheaper spot. Service was outstanding and staff was super friendly. It's counter service and they will gladly answer any questions you have. I will certainly be back amidst my trips to Las Cruces when working at New Mexico State. Best Korean food in town! I love the location and how convenient it is to the school. The restaurant was clean and had a good vibe about it. The service was friendly and helpful. What an amazing restaurant! I looked them up based on proximity to the Medical Center and my hotel and was enamored the minute I stepped inside. This is an unassuming little restaurant with a counter you order. Choose your base first: white rice, brown rice, Japchae (glass noodles for $1 more), or salad. Employees are kind and friendly, and are willing to help you along the way. The restaurant is very clean and well designed. My only complaint and the reason why I can't give it 5 stars is because they have horrible hours. A Korean restaurant in little Las Cruces, where Asian food is kinda hard to come by. As an Asian-American who was just passing through New Mexico...I just had to try it! We arrived on a weekday for dinner, maybe around 1 hour before closing. The restaurant was a little slammed with orders, so we had to wait 10-15 minutes for the cooks to reload on tofu and bulgolgi proteins for our bowls. One of the staff seemed really apologetic, but it wasn't a problem at all! The tofu was worth the wait, too -- though it was a little more oily than I'd like, the soy sauce and sesame oil flavors really came through. My dad got the bulgolgi, but he said it didn't have any flavor to it other than just tasting like meat. Maybe cooking it with a rub or a sauce that includes gochujang or gochugaru would help? You have to give a lot of credit to Asian restaurants in places where there might not be a large Asian population. And the food was great for what it was! Was quick, easy, delicious, reasonably priced, and the people working there were so nice - perfect! Don't make the mistake I made though - as I walked in there were signs on the wall instructing you how to order - sorta Chipotle style. No problem! But as more people came in (and it was a steady stream), the looked at the other board - the one behind the counter; which seemed a lot easier than the piecemeal ordering I did, but good to know you have the opportunity to custom order too. And don't overlook (like I initially did) the little sign advertising LA Kalbi on Friday and Saturday only. Did I mention they make their own kimchi?! I can't put into words how happy this made my taste buds! I was offered a sample of the beef and I swear as soon as it hit my tongue I was in LOVE!! My bowl had japche, kimchi, carrots, corn, cabbage, bulgogi, gochujang, sesame seeds, and broth from the beef. Seriously so delicious! The bowls here are pretty cool usually restaurants similar to this one can offer too many choices and leave you a little overwhelmed. This spot does a great job of keeping simple and easy to order with just enough choices to get a customized feel. I ordered a Chicken bowl, with the base being white rice and for my four veggie choices I chose double broccoli, carrots, and red cabbage. I topped it off with a "sweet sauce" and a "spicy sauce" both helped give my bowl a savory flavor which I enjoyed. The chicken was cooked well and with a solid char-flavor. You make your selection of protein (beef, pork, chicken or tofu) and your selection of rice or noodles which makes up the main portion of your bowl.
