We were looking for fast food and stumbled upon a Japanese restaurant, not realizing it was inside Parkway Mall! Luckily, we had parked near the food court. We ordered the Bento Chicken Teriyaki ($12.99), Bento Katsu ($13.99), Ramen ($9.49), Crunch Roll ($9.25), and water ($2.25). The food was tasty and the portions were huge, which was great. The only issue was the chicken teriyaki, it was a bit dry and could have used more sauce. She asked me if I want to pour the sauce but I said on the side, just to be safe, since my mom has a lot of allergies. The servers were really friendly and easy to talk to, and they even gave me free water! So nice! read more

It was getting late and had to eat & didn't wanna wander far. Half the mall's food court was closed. Panda Express HAS teriyaki chicken, but I insisted to try something non-corporate if you can do so. But when placing an order for a couple sushi, teriyaki chicken, & teriyaki salmon, it came out to $70. Yikes. Was it worth it? Well, the salmon portion was unacceptable AND they deep-fried it. Plus, unlike the teriyaki chicken, which they pulled from container & chopped, & put together, they instead put their teriyaki sauce on the side. No big deal, but weird that they did that. The salmon portion was small, like Waba Grill small- that's why I don't go there again. How you gonna have a measly portion of salmon, deep-fry it, and then fill the rest of the tray with salad & rice? The service was ok- ladies were nice. The sushi wasn't bad either. Sushi probably worth the $13, but not the salmon. Do not order this - it doesn't look like it does on the menu and you'll be disappointed. Overpriced rubbish. It USED to be my go to place anytime I was in the mall, but I haven't been there in a while. And it'll be a VERY LONG TIME before I go back!!!! They USED to make the sushi FRESH when you ordered it. This time, it was already in styrofoam packs and the girl handed it to me which I thought was odd. But I didn't say anything. It was not cold like it usually is. It was kind of warmish and every bite fell apart. I was quite disappointed. I paid with my debit card and didn't even look at the Receipt until I got home and saw a service charge of $.55! So I called and asked about it. And the woman said, yes, we charge a service charge anytime you use a debit or credit card. I have never been charged before. And I can GUARANTEE you, I will not be charged again because I will not go back there! Katsu is supposed to come with raw cabbage, not steamed and not tasting like cigarettes(probably because there wasn't any gloves on sight) . Katsu sauce didn't taste like Katsu sauce at all. Been coming here for a few years now and it's still my favorite place to eat at the mall! My fiancé and I go here to eat for our mall dates! The meal was okay. The best thing I liked were the noodles underneath. The tasted good and had a good texture. The chicken in the curry was good. It was all dark meat but was tender and tasty. The curry was alright. It definitely needed a better curry flavor. It was a little to mild for this dish. My main issue with the curry sauce was that it was to salty. It was strange because some spots had way to much salt and others were fine. Those overly salty areas were not very pleasing. Let's just say it was inconsistent. Love, love, love! Food is always great! I don't love Panda Express and personally think their food is greasy and sweet. Teriyaki House has more of a home made feel to it and always tastes fresh. I always get a plate with half and half, teriyaki chicken and salad! Oh that's another thing! Places like Panda don't offer Salads as an option! Is prefer to see and taste a little green on my plate! I often get the "Bento Box - chkn.terky." because it's got a lil' of everything. But I freaking LOOOOVE the tempura shrimp, squash, mushroom, or whatever else they fry up for that dish. I can tell you that everything on the food bar is very Fresh becuz they are constantly selling and bringing new food trays to display. I love and again love the Curry Chicken.. its fresh and always fresh! Steam veggies are my second favorite.. I love the new Jalapeño Crunch Rolls they are almost an art:) I think in 2015 Teriyaki House really stepped up their game with new Signage and Cool self explanotory menu display!
