Have not been here since before Covid. Decided to come on a Wednesday around 11:15pm. This place has not changed. Small dining area with about 8 tables. The employee at the counter was very nice. Ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl with veggies and rice. It was quickly served and tasted good for "fast" Japanese style bowl. There was lots of chicken. It was nice to see that the size of the bowl had not shrunk but the price was more than I remember. But still good meal for the price. read more

Been meaning to give it a try and finally made it over there. We tried the chicken skewers, chicken rice bowl, and beef rice bowl. The skewers were really good! The chicken rice bowl was also fire. The beef rice bowl was the low point, kinda spongy and just boring. I had their Thai Tea and was REALLY impressed. I'm an annoying tea snob and they had it brewed nice and sweet and strong with the perfect amount of creamer. It was really well made-- literally better than the local boba shops. read more

(0 stars if I could) Very disappointing experience at Teriyaki House. Our entire lunch break was basically ruined because our order was completely wrong, and the staff didn't seem to understand what went wrong even after we explained it politely. Somehow, my friend got my food and I got his, and when we tried to fix it, the situation just got more confusing instead of better. On top of that, we were overcharged for two lunch specials with drinks. Each one was supposed to be about $14, but the total came out much higher than expected with tax, and the portions didn't even feel worth the price. The plates were small, the food wasn't satisfying, and for what we paid, it felt like a waste of money. The worst part was the time. We spent almost an hour there trying to sort out the order, and we only had a short lunch break to begin with. By the time everything was done, we barely had time to eat. Honestly, the whole experience was frustrating, overpriced, and poorly handled. Because of the wrong orders, the overcharge, and the slow service, I would not recommend taking the time to eat here. There are definitely better places in Marysville to spend your lunch break. read more

Next time treat the homeless people out side your establishment with human decency. I gave him $100 and told him to order whatever he wanted. He refused my money and said all he wanted was a small chicken bowl with rice. But then told me to keep my money because he was refused service. I was a customer and witnessed the staff making mockery of a man because he asks for food in return for services. ( To wash your Dishes or remove trash). Great place for a quick bite, option for drive thru or dine in. Though some of the chicken and teriyaki plates are straightforward and kind of boring, their friendly staff, and meals such as the pad Thai make it worth it. I would highly recommend the pad Thai, though not traditional as a good noodle dish that a majority of people enjoy. They also have great house made chili oil to add onto the dishes. read more

Ugh. This place used to be so much better. What happened? My wife and I moved to Reno a few months ago, but we're in town and decided to hit up one of our old stand bys. We got the same thing we always get, so we know how it's supposed to be. Today wasn't it. Chicken fried rice with vegitables. Mine was supposed to be spicy. Cheese puffs. Egg rolls. Not only was it not spicy, but both orders of rice had mushy, over cooked, clumpy rice that had very little flavor. Egg rolls? Inside has mushy raw wrap dough, and very little filling. What was in it was bland. Cheese puffs? Chewy and cold, with very little filling. No crunch at all. I'm only giving it a two star because after I added my own soy sauce to the rice it at least tasted halfway decent, and it had a good amount of chicken and vegitables. And before anybody asks, the food was bought through the drive through and taken straight home to be eaten. What the heck happened to you guys? read more

I was on my way to mcdonalds in marysville, when i decided to investigate 5th street. Ive driven by the hospital several times and always wondered what was down this street that has no stop signs and seemed busy whenever i tried to cross it. So on my way i went and i discovered this teriyaki house along the way. It had its own drive thru and everything. I decided to stop by and forego the breakfast sandwiches i was planning on from mcdonalds. Im pretty happy that i did! The decor is welcoming from the inside and out, and the service is very friendly and on point. You order from their menu at the register and they call you to pick up your food when its ready. The prices are very fair and the food is exceptional. I ordered combo #2, the terriyaki chicken with sweet and sour pork, however i asked if they could substitute the pork for chicken, and they did so without any problem. After a brief time in the dining room, i was called up for my plate and i proceeded to eat while watching some television that they had available in the back area. The teriyaki chicken was on point, with the sauce having the perfect balance and with chicken that was moist and tender. The sweet and sour chicken was very very good, crispy and made with actual chicken! The meal comes with a drink and for 8$ the meal was very well worth the price. The restaurant was clean, the bathrooms were tidy, everything was legit and inviting. I will definitely be back, most assuredly for times when I do not feel like crossing the bridge into yuba city. Ok so I walk in this place. And from the outside I said ok it's an old place gotta be good. I ordered a beef plate "well done" when I got it I looked at it and it looks like if the meat is steamed .... So I ask is this well done. He said yes it is. I'm like here we go. The lack of chicken was insane. I know times are difficult and there is shrink-flation, but come on!!! My boys are 5 & 6 and neither was satisfied. Top spot in Marysville CA. No comparison to any other local Japanese style restaurant. All sauces are home made and family recipe and available to go as well. There is also a yuba city location but marysville's takes the cake being the original family and location. Family owned passed down recipes that have not changed since day one. Truly recommend this spot. read more

Chicken was tough and stringy, overcooked. Rice was a gelatinous, gluey blob. Way overcooked. If the name of your restaurant includes the word "teriyaki" you should be able to properly cook and serve rice. If you think your rice could patch drywall you shouldn't serve it to paying customers. read more

I recently started coming back here to eat after many years. First because I do not live in Marysville and second I do not have any business in this city. But because the Yuba City location would over cook/burn the chicken I stared coming back here. Just to let everyone know these two restaurants are not owned by the same family. Well, guess what happened today. I got there right before closing and ordered one of their bowls and got one filled with burned chicken. I have tried eating cooked chicken like this before at the Yuba City location and it hurts me teeth it is overcooked so badly. Now I do not know what to do or where to go to get my chicken teriyaki fix. Maybe Roseville or Sacramento? Anyways, here are some pictures. The only thing I do not like about this place was the location of it. They have a drive through which is really small and tight. You defiantly cannot take an f350 in there which was what I as driving. The area the place is located in is very disappointing. This place was okay. Very generic teriyaki served on styrofoam plates. Egg rolls were mushy on the inside and tasted of rancid oil. Rice was also mushy and the main dish's veggies and meat tasted frozen. Teriyaki sauce reminded me of pancake syrup. Will not be returning. read more

This is a solid place to get a meal. Their chicken teriyaki with asparagus, tempura sole, and garlic shrimp are all my favorite dishes. I wish they gave more steamed vegetables with their dishes but other than that, their portions are pretty generous. read more
