    Lunch buffet cuisine.

Food is delicious. Service is kind and friendly. Ambiance is peaceful. The open floor plan is perfect for large groups. The lunch buffet gets you in and out without delay. It has become one of my favorite lunchtime locations.

After visiting a friend in the hospital, we went across the street and walked down to this restaurant. We each got something different. From Moo Goo Gai pan to Sesame chicken and different kinds of soup. I saw the sign that said Buffet earlier in the day, but on their website, it does not mention it. The all you can eat buffet is around $14.99. We all opted to order from the combination menu that gives you soup, egg roll, and your choice of rice with the entrée. The buffet was not really well stocked so we passed that by and all the combination entrées which were about $11.95. The soup was good, but it just wasn't very hot. So it was kind of a disappointing start. But when the entrées came out, they were hot and big portions. In fact, I shared one with my husband, and we both had plenty to eat! The egg rolls or spring rolls were just so-so. The service was good and the place has plenty of seating. In fact it even has seating upstairs. For the price and the taste of the food we would go back if we were in this area again.

Need something a little more on the quieter side? Want some comfort and warmth from simple Asian cuisine? Can't make up your mind if you want Chinese or Japanese? Well, well, well. You're in luck. This newer business is really a blessing to find all of that and more. Nothing cramped here No rush, no loud noises No nonsense The Mongolian Beef and the Spicy Garlic Chicken were delicious

Midtown Café sunflower is now Chinese & Sushi Bar. I have decided to stop by after work just to see the new place and menu. I decided to stay and have a meal. It was absolutely delicious! I ordered the eggplant and added tofu. The portion size was great. So much so that I decided to take half of it home before I even started eating. Although I miss Herban Fix I'll be back. I gave 3 stars for the atmosphere because the white chair covers on the round tables throw off the decor. Not a lot of people know about this place has been rebranded and now open to the public. I do believe they need to do an outdoor campaign on the sidewalk to invite people.

I was very sad to hear that Herban Fix closed, but I very much enjoyed my experience at Sunflower Midtown. The space looks the same, very large, bright, and clean. There was only one other table seated but it looked like they do a lot of take out business. We were in and out in about an hour (Wednesday, around 5 PM) so this seems like a good place to go before an event at the Fox. They validate parking, which is really nice! They have an expansive menu of Chinese dishes, hibachi, and sushi. We started off with spring rolls, which were yummy. I got two sushi rolls (Philly and Rainbow) which were very good, light and fresh. My friend got a chicken and veggie dish which she really enjoyed, and they were able to accommodate her food allergies. It was a large portion, and I thought the prices were reasonable. I definitely want to go back and try other dishes!

Did takeout for lunch. Food was ready promptly. You get a chicken wing with each lunch order which was pretty unique I thought it was okay. Food was hot and fresh and tasted good. Will likely go back due to convenience.

We went to Sunflower Kitchen for dinner before seeing a Broadway show at Fox Theatre. We ordered Gourmet Combo. We got Egg Drop soup & Hot & Sour soup. Appetizers: Chicken Wings & Egg Rolls. The chicken wings were excellent! For dinner, we ordered General Tso Chicken & Mongolian Beef. Both were super delicious! The manager was very nice & helpful. We have been to many Chinese restaurants in Atlanta, Sunflower Kitchen is one of my favorites. We definitely will come back!

My husband and I were in Atlanta for a weekend getaway and we were looking for a place to get something good to eat when we came across reviews left by others. We had been in Atlanta since the day before and nothing we had eaten prior to this qualified as edible (I'm a native New Orleanian and my husband is a Native New Yorker)--so the bar is set pretty high. As we were open to any type of cuisine, we scrolled through yelp looking for a place to eat and came cross reviews of the Sunflower Midtown. We walked 2 miles from our hotel, the Signa Hilton to the Sunflower (a day in the life of a New Yorker). Let me tell you, the food was worth the walk. It rivaled our favorite spot in SOHO, which we lost during the pandemic. The food was fresh, well prepared and absolutely delicious! And we have dined at Michelin star restaurants all over the world. There was only one other couple in the restaurant at the time of our visit but don't let that deter you from having a meal there; lots of take out orders were being filled as previously noted. The staff was attentive, kind and personable. As we waited for our Uber home--too full to walk back to our hotel, I noticed that they generously validated parking for up to 2 hours. If you have a craving for good Asian cuisine, the Sunflower is the place to go. Apologies for taking. bite of my food before uploading pics here. LOL! As shown, Hibachi chicken and shrimp and shrimp with mixed veggies.

The reason for 3 stars is that the food was mid (I would love to give 3.5 stars if I could). Some dishes stood out - the peanut noodles, the lobster with the same noodles, salmon crudo, and wings were pretty good too. Everything else was either not great or very mid - the platter, calamari, salmon was not crispy skin and was overcooked, fries, sardine bruschetta. We spent $400 with tip and I only liked or remembered about 20% of what we ordered. Drinks are beautiful and creative. It would be great for a drink and sexy vibes, but I would go somewhere else to eat. I forgot to take pictures (OOPS)

Went here for a birthday and had a wonderful time with wonderful food!!…read more To start our servers were very friendly and Jojo was very knowledgeable of the entire menu, including describing the daily specials and the flavors/ingredients of each dish we ordered. To start we got the lobster crawfish wontons and the seafood spring rolls. The lobster crawfish wontons have a Cajun cream cheese inside which was a flavor bomb, and the wontons were fried crispy but not oily. The sauce on top helped to cut through the richness of the wonton stuffing. It was a delicious appetizer!! The seafood spring rolls were massive, again a really good fry on them with the skin being thin and super crunchy but not overdone. The seafood inside was generous, but I would say the flavor was more just of the seafood itself instead of any special seasoning. Still good, but we preferred the wontons more! The mains were the lobster fried rice and the drunken noodles. The lobster fried rice had a gochujang flavoring but didn't have as much of a wok sear in my opinion, but was still good! The lobster was fried beautifully, where the meat was super soft and the fry on the outside was crunchy! It also came with these fried kale chips that were sooooo good, these chips had so much flavor!! My favorite was the drunken noodles, which had a lot of flavor from the wok sear and a slightly sweet and spicy sauce. We asked for chili on the side, and definitely think the added heat made this dish much more flavorful. The lobster here was also really good and well buttered! For dessert, we shared the matcha crème Brulee which was fantastic, strong matcha flavor that was tempered with the creaminess of crème Brulee. The torched sugar on top was superrrr well done, super crunchy and probably one of the best sugar torching on crème Brulee I have had!! In between each item, Jojo would clean our plates and table, and we saw him also ensuring everyone's dish was cooked to their liking. Everyone seemed to really care about the quality of the food and it made for a really nice experience! I would say the ambiance is dim lit casual to upscale, great for work events, date nights, etc. Overall a great place for flavor packed food with exceptional service!

Food: I went with options that were constantly praised on social media and I was not let down. The lychee martini was good, but if you're a texture person then you may not like the creamy feel. The shrimp fried rice was pretty basic but still good. The oxtail spring rolls paired with honey mustard were really good. I also enjoyed the spicy tuna crispy rice and pork dumplings. I would definitely order these all again and maybe try some new options.

Starting with the service, it was honestly amazing from the door to the table to the bar. Everyone I came in contact with was very hospitable and made our experience great. However, the food was underwhelming. We ordered every single appetizer that our server suggested. I will give them. The appetizers are good with notable mentions for the tuna spoons, the oxtail, spring rolls, and the dumplings. The entrées, though were not my favorite. The filet mignon is more of a beef and broccoli situation and although we knew that it easily gave me a higher end mall Chinese food. The fried rice was extremely dry. We had the lobster and the shrimp. The lobster fried rice had little tomato no lobster in it and for the price it was disappointing. We also got chicken lo mein which probably was the best entrée we had. I will say the drinks are amazing if I had to choose I would probably go back and just get drinks and appetizers. One note for the restaurant, we had the spare ribs which were extremely red on the inside and had a very tangy taste, and unfortunately everyone at my table that had it the next day was running to the restroom. That was the only common denominator we could find. Our food did come out in a timely manner however, some of it was lukewarm, it gives they may make them in batch and bring them out. They came out before our drink. It is very aesthetically pleasing in here. I will give them that. We went on a Friday night and the music was amazing. Good R&B hits!

I ordered the Shandong braised chicken, a dish presented with its protein resting atop a glossy sauce and a generous scattering... ten or more pieces of accompanying dough. In theory, this bread should serve as both sponge and companion, absorbing the depth of the braise and rounding the dish into comfort. In practice, it was profoundly compromised. The dough was unmistakably moldy, visibly, undeniably so. This alone is alarming in any dining establishment; it signals a breakdown not just in execution, but in fundamental kitchen vigilance. More troubling than the oversight itself was the response. When the issue was brought to the attention of the waiter, the reaction suggested familiarity rather than concern as though such an occurrence fell within the realm of the expected. There was no urgency, no visible embarrassment, no effort to meaningfully rectify the moment. The tone felt faintly dismissive. The effect on the room was immediate: the couple seated ahead of us, having witnessed the exchange, opted against ordering an entrée at all. That, in itself, speaks volumes. There were, however, redeeming elements. The spicy beef was well-prepared, delivering heat with balance rather than bravado. The diced potatoes were excellent, crisp at the edges, tender within, and seasoned with confidence. These dishes hinted at a kitchen capable of competence, even finesse, when fundamentals align. The atmosphere added an unexpected layer. Spa music drifted through the dining room an odd choice for a meal that aims to be bold and hearty, creating a tonal dissonance that never quite resolved. Service hovered in the realm of "acceptable," buoyed largely by polite refrains of "yes sir" and "no ma'am," though these formalities felt more like compensation for a lack of true attentiveness than genuine hospitality. I would not go so far as to discourage anyone from dining here. There is promise, and there are flashes of real quality. But I would offer this advice plainly and without drama: inspect your food carefully. Mold has no place on the plate, and until that reality is treated with the seriousness it demands, the experience remains compromised no matter how good the potatoes may be.
