    Chicken teriyaki with egg roll

Tried this out for the grand opening. Was great! Fast, friendly service. The teriyaki bowls are very good. Good flavor and lean meat. Had the chicken bowl but several other protein choices. Egg rolls were good. Will definitely frequent this store!

Amazing creations! Love the flavors and sauces Reminds me of a teriyaki place I loved at the mall in Illinois. Chicken was super great. Really putting a great dish out to add variety to the daily options of food places. Stop giving this place a hard time! Leave Brittany alone.

I ordered grilled chicken, not shredded.

When this place first opened it was awesome. The chicken was grilled perfectly and service was friendly. I was a loyal customer with at least 20 visits but each time things got worse. Today was the final straw. The veggies were soggy, the chicken was dry and shredded, the $2.59 drink was served in a 12oz cup, we waited 26 minutes to get our food, their app and loyalty system never works, and when it was delivered to our table it came with the same bad additive the server was giving everyone. If you want to try this do it soon because I cannot see this place surviving as it is. I won't be back.

Recently (July/Aug 2023) teriyaki madness changed the beef they use in their beef dishes. It used to be tenderized chunks of fall-apart beef. Now it's thin strips of leathery lunch meat that is mostly gristle and fat. I tried the Johnstown and Greeley locations and both had this new meat that can best be described as looking like someone cut tongue depressors in half then mixed in some rubber bands so there would be two distinct textures. I'm guessing it was a cost saving effort from the sales reduction department. If you change it back, please reach out to me, so I will know it's safe to return, otherwise I'll eagerly be waiting to see what new restaurants lease your locations.

Super slow slow. Not busy, but waiting a meal for half hour. I just watch them talk and talk.

A review from an Asian visiting from SoCal/OC:…read more This is for anyone but also uniquely targeted to Asians and those new to Hawaiian food. If you have been seeking to quench your longing (or curiosity) for asian flavors, this place is for you. My family ordered chicken katsu, short rib, and spam musubi. Things you take for granted that Kona nailed: rice, Mac salad, cabbage, katsu/teriyaki sauces. Katsu and short ribs were on point. My toddlers gobbled both of their musubis. My fellow Asian will have their souls relieved. The newcomer will have their taste buds awakened. Do support this business! Nothing wrong with "asian fusion" that blends the traditional with local flavors/preferences, but there's nothing like the taste of home. Thank you Kona!

Some diners were eating inside, so it wasn't completely dead. Food came out after 10-ish mins or so, but it was given to us by the cashier already packaged! We ordered the Hawaiian plate and the chicken/beef combo plate. We'd been to Kona Hawaiian BBQ at other cities before, so we knew what to expect. It tasted the same as the other locations -- everything was good! It even had more veggies than I remember so that was a plus! We had big pieces of broccoli and the meats were on top of steamed cabbage. It was exactly what we needed! The plates come with 2 scoops of rice and a scoop of macaroni salad. This place always hits when we visit a location!

I will not be going back again. Not only was the quality diminished and showed no signs of care for the finished product. One looked like a soupy mess with a few small sprigs of overcooked broccoli. One looked like have eaten servings. The beef was tough and dry . Shrimp overcooked. The appetizers were fine. This is officially off my list. We got there around 530 and there was about a 20 minute wait but we were able to find seats at the bar. There were 3 bartenders working. Don't remember their names. We sat there for a couple minutes before being greeted but they were very busy. They have Happy Hour from 3-6, so we got some drinks and appetizers. Dumplings and wontons. Both filled to the max level and both delicious. For entrees we got sesame chicken and Singapore street noodles. Excellent! They were really good. And for dessert we had the banana spring rolls. I would come back just for those. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. They kept our water glasses full. Appreciate the service. Thank you!
