First off, I just want to shout this place out! The manager last night was SOOO KIND because they were closing at 9 and the cashier told us no more orders. Was hoping for a new "Kokoro bowl" type of place but was I wrong! Teriyaki Madness can't even compare with Tokyo Joe. The lack of attention to detail would be degrading for any one that might remotely link it to Japanese food. The hospitality is not there and they even got my order wrong. I had ordered a beef but all the bowls we got were chicken. Because I had used a sign up offer, I didn't want to go back and make the exchange. I deleted the app and unsubscribed from email as soon as I left. The meats were overcooked while the veggies were under cooked. The only thing I found acceptable was the brown rice. It is better than what you can get at PF Chang's, at least it was fluffy and palatable. But that's it. read more

Tried out Teriyaki Madness for the first time this week and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was! This location is located in a plaza so there is plenty of parking. I came around 7pm, after the gym and the wait was a bit crazy - about 30min. The wait isn't ideal but seems like everything is made to order so the food comes out fresh I got the spicy teriyaki tofu bowl with brown rice. The tofu was perfect - crispy on the outside and soft inside. The spicy teriyaki sauce was addicting. There's a bit of a kick from the heat but nothing overwhelming. Even the veggies were perfectly seasoned and cooked! Only thing was that the brown rice was a little over cooked and mushy. If you like spice, I recommend the spicy teriyaki over the regular teriyaki sauce. They added regular teriyaki sauce on the side for me and it was way too sweet. First timer review! I got the chicken teriyaki bowl with fried rice and broccoli. They were extremely busy because on the night I went part of the proceeds were being donated; that really made my decision to try this place for the first time. Even though the place was busy, I felt like the wait time was not bad at all. The temperature of the food was still hot and fresh. The teriyaki came in a little bowl on the side so I drizzled it on top of the chicken and rice and broccoli. I absolutely loved the teriyaki sauce they provided. Crunchy edges, dumpling wrap raw in places. The spicy chicken, forgot to take a picture but the sauce was just drizzled on it wasn't pan fried on, like the sticky consistency seen in pictures. Thankfully I put the chicken pieces in the air fryer to finish baking the spicy sauce on to my chicken. This place always takes forever. Disappointed because when the food is cooked correctly without rushing it is good. Do better!! I don't know why I don't learn my lesson after getting repeated poor service from this location. Ordered online and arrived at 7:09pm as instructed. Stood in front of the register for 5 min before being acknowledged. I informed the employee of online order, she looked at an order sitting on the table and said I'm up next just waiting on the teriyaki steak. I sit down and see maybe 6-8 people get their orders in front of me. Each time the staff member loudly calls out their name. 15 min past my pickup time 25 min past my pickup time I can't take it anymore. I go up and ask for a refund and cancel my order. The same employee that informed me my order was next had the audacity to ask me what the name was, and grabs my order that was sitting there the whole fucking time!! I saw their sign at Bowles Crossing months ago and was let down by the "coming soon" sign on the door when I showed up for lunch while running errands there. Seemed to be a few delays getting it opened, and I missed the opening by only one day! (We live about 20 minutes away) Finally made it there for lunch Tuesday and it was all I hoped it would be, and more. The Junior sized bowl was still a very good portion. The vegetables were not over cooked, so I can order a carb-free bowl with confidence next time. The white rice was well- prepared, and the steak was tender and flavorful. The teriyaki sauce was less sweet and more seasoned than at some other places with similar concept. I was still a little hungry so I treated myself to an order of Crab Rangoon (which I personally enjoy as a dessert more than an app anyway!). The filling was really flavorful and I appreciated the onions. I would opt for a little more cream cheese in the filling. But they were fried perfectly, and the sauce was unique and delicious. We came in about 30-40 minutes before they close and the staff was clearly not happy to see us. During the entire time we were there, the kitchen staff was super noisy talking and laughing, they clearly were having a great time but that's super unprofessional behavior. There was also one employee that looked like she couldn't wait for us to get the X out of there. The cashier was nice though. Staff did notify after ordering and waiting about 5 minutes that there would be a 30 minutes wait. If I knew that prior to ordering I would have skipped. I honestly ordered at 7 am for a 1pm pick up ( it worked). Food was great. Good mix of rice, chicken and veggies! Teriyaki bowl delicious! Spicy chicken bowl also great! If you're considering the mad teriyaki bowl, please note the mad sauce is very, very spicy! I highly recommend you get a side and add it to your food gradually otherwise you'll not be able to eat it. Oh and portion sizes are very generous so make it two meals out of one. We did order the fried rice for an extra $1 but we o lot got it in one of the bowls unfortunately. Thanks for the reply, Mike. I really hope you can turn it around. Unfortunately, I'll have to pass on coming back for some time. This has always been the case since the store has been open so I don't anticipate anything changing. Perhaps it's less of an issue than before but all I can say is that there were four other people waiting in store just as frustrated for the same reason. It's been the same every time I've visited, busy hours and not. There's always a group of customers frustrated with the service. Never seen anything like this at any restaurant, competitor, food establishment. So, something is really awry and perhaps franchisees simply don't have a way/control to find a logistical solution. Simple fix would be to display current wait times in app and not allow people to choose anytime for pick up if the kitchen can't make that turn around based on the current queue. Sets the wrong expectation that you could come in and pick up immediately, but then have to wait 30+ minutes beyond the time you choose. That's why everyone is so frustrated and I feel bad that the employees have to have it taken out on them. If you can pick a time in the app then there should be no reason why the food shouldn't be ready on time. Again, hope a broader fix can be figured out and hope business grows for you. read more

This is a fast casual chain from Seattle. It serves a really tasty chicken teriyaki bowl! The bowl comes with a little bit of steamed/grilled veggies (broccoli, squash, cabbage, and onion) and seated on rice (white, brown, or fried) or noodles. We had the chicken teriyaki bowl with white rice. Everyone liked it a lot. The sauce is better than other nearby chains and the chicken is tastier. We'll be back! (Note: we went on the first day they were open 2/18/2021 and the service was a little confused. I'm sure they will get better once they've been open a few weeks, but the food was very tasty so I gave them a high rating.) read more

I ordered online for the very first time to get a bowl delivered to my address because I saw a deal on Facebook advertising FREE DELIVERY.  Not only did the website change my order from delivery to PICK-UP, it also changed my preferred store in Highlands Ranch (which is only 3 miles away, to a store in Littleton 8.5 miles away).  It was very inconvenient for me to have to drive there as I am a senior citizen and I am disabled. Anyway, I get to the store, I go inside and there are five people in line in front of me and about six people sitting at tables or standing around waiting for their orders to come up.  I saw one man get so discouraged and frustrated, he cursed, threw his hands in the air in disgust and just left.   The boy behind the order counter was so untrained, he did not know how to keep the line moving, literally making people stand in line unnecessarily as he paced back and forth looking like a deer in the headlights.  The boys in the back cooking were overheard to say "Hey, we are out of white rice" and "Oh s***, we are out of brown rice now too".  They also dropped some chicken on the floor at one point and had to restart someone's order.  It was truly a zoo and all of the customers saw it and were upset by it.   Since my order had been made online and was supposed to be ready at 7:08pm, I rushed to get there and I arrived right at 7:10pm.  I assumed I would be able to skip the line in the store, but the order-taker (Austin?) was so unskilled, I had to wait about 15 minutes standing in line until I could finally ask him for my online order, which had been done and ready for pickup since two minutes before I came in the store.  I went ahead and dined in because I wanted my food hot - it was not. My food was cold, the egg roll was not at all appetizing as it was not even the slightest bit warm.  The Spicy Teriyaki Chicken Bowl I ordered was only slightly warm on the bottom.  My chicken pieces were all burned hard and black on one side and it was all very tough and dry.  I only ate a few bites of the meal and threw it all away.  As I left, five of the six people who had been waiting before I got there were still waiting for their food. It was the worst dinner experience I have had in the last 8 years, since I got food poisoning at a Mexican food restaurant and nearly had to go to the hospital. I would say nice things about the restaurant chain if I could, I really would - I often refer people to good places to eat, because I am a bit of a foodie.  I would even say, maybe it was an isolated incident and maybe I will give them another chance.  But, I will decidedly NEVER go to that store location again - the management has failed and the employees are horrible. As an aside, I would give the restaurant a 4/10 on being clean as well. read more

It took a while to get the food so we waited. The ambiance was really weird. They would play a country song then a weird song I couldn't even tell you the genre and flipped between the two. Warning the idiot at the counter is a low life thief. I ordered and payed online. Went in about 10 minutes later and gave my name and he found my order ticket and said "yeah we are not making your order we're short on staff". The rudeness though was nothing compared to what happened next. I asked if he was going to refund me and he was like "oh yeah" and literally less than 2 seconds later said it was refunded. It seemed really strange because it didn't seem like he actually did anything on his screen. It seemed so weird my husband ran in to ask for a confirmation of the refund. He said they couldn't do that but it was refunded. Plot twist he lied and no refund was given Two weeks later and still out $30 for food never recieved. Tried calling but got little help. Ordered Bowl with Teriyaki Beef and Chicken Katsu with Fried Rice. Ended up throwing most of it away. Teriyaki beef looked and tasted like something that was cooked in bulk and sat around all day. Definitely not freshly cooked. Chicken Katsu was ok. But some of the pieces tasted like I was eating straight flour/breading or something with no chicken. Chicken was pretty dry as well. Fried rice was the worst thing I have ever tasted. It was mush. Way too wet, and there was a puddle of water in the bottom of my bowl from how wet it was. read more

Well, here we are again. I had gone to Teriyaki Madness the week that it opened. We were super excited to have a quick Asian fusion restaurant nearby. No frills, simple ingredients, and convenient. Sadly we were underwhelmed and very disappointed. The service seemed chaotic and the staff didn't seem like they cared much. Moving at a slow pace and even for a place that just opened, it was already dirty. Food on the floor, soda area in disarray, tables sticky. I chalked it up to early stages of opening a restaurant. They just needed to get the kinks out and then they could be a well oiled machine. Went back about a month later. Our orders were wrong, the meat was over cooked and the vegetables raw. Bland or overly spicy without much flavor. During this visit we used the app. By the way, on the app, they have limited drink selections--so if you want Sierra Mist, Lemonade, or anything other than dark soda or unsweetened tea, you'll have to order in person. Again, tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they really came up short. Third times a charm, right? WRONG! We ordered combos, and were missing our egg rolls. The egg rolls were one of their best items, but this time the wrapper inside was soggy and undercooked. It was very starchy/flour flavored. Next was the bowls. How do you mess up a vegetable medley? By undercooking it--again. Every time we have been, the vegetables are basically raw. They are incredibly bitter like they have been sitting in a fridge getting oxidized or something. I am a huge fan of broccoli and cabbage, but we couldn't stomach it raw and with the teriyaki sauce it just heightened the bitterness in contrast to that sweet. My chicken was over cooked and dry again. Not to mention the grainy starchy mouthfeel from sauce? meat? veggies? who knows?! The cashier seemed new and apologized for messing up our order. When we went to the drink station, it was messy again and they were out of lids for our cups. We stepped outside to eat and one of the tables had a huge pile of rice and chicken dumped out under the table and looked as if it was there for hours. I think with the right training of both cashiers and cooks, they could turn it around. The only consistently good item on the menu is the prepackaged rice crispy treats. This was our last and final visit. Sorry, but I gave them three chances to get it right and it was wrong for all of us each time. Not worth the price. If you read other reviews, you'll notice some trends. Instead of responding saying every bowl is "customizable" maybe try: Putting in LESS CABBAGE for the standard veggie mix Actually cooking the vegetables Figuring out why the meat tastes weird Figuring out where the starchy texture is coming from Training staff to actually care and show a little hustle (each time I've been there, someone is complaining that they've been waiting over 1/2 hr) Training cook staff on how to cook (not over cooking meat and stop undercooking veggies and fried items) Fixing the app to show all items Stop making excuses for bad service and food. read more

I tried showing up in person when they opened and there were only 3 people in the lobby waiting for their food and they said they had been waiting super long and not to bother ordering, there wasn't anyone at the register either. I tried ordering online a few days later that was convenient and fairly quick. I ordered one of their spicy bowls but they forgot the spice, I think they gave me the wrong food. The rice in the bowl was pretty hard, and the bowl seemed to be filled with all veggies and not much of anything else.
