Chicken Breast Teriyaki Bowl Large only Veggies
    Devin M.

7.7/10 I found the meal to be quite satiating and it definitely kept me full. However, the chicken was on the dry side even with a generous amount of sauce. The veggies were hit or miss; they could've used more seasoning and a bit more cook time. The standout was definitely the broccoli, which had the best texture and flavor. I wasn't a fan of the cabbage or the thin carrot sticks. Service and ambiance were both pleasant, though I had the food as takeout. Overall, a decent meal with room for improvement on flavor and execution.

Two Protein Bowl- Large Size Only with salmon and tofu

This was a nice healthy option for lunch. It was my first time trying it out with my mom who said she went here all the time. I ordered a two-protein bowl with salmon and tofu. The tofu was super spicy! It wasn't bad, just a little over what I was in the mood for, spicewise. The salmon was really good. I liked how they had a lot of different carb options and also a low-carb option to just get it on vegetables. The veggies were a nice mix of zucchini, cabbage, and broccoli, with some tiny carrot shreds that added nothing but some color. Also I didn't realize the bowl for the two-protein option would be that much larger than the medium size one, so it was more food than I could eat! I think if I returned, I'd stick with the medium size. This is in a strip mall with a lot of different eating options. There is plenty of parking. The dining area was a good size for a fast-casual place, also it's well packaged so it would be easy to take it to go.

I love this place perfect for a quick chicken teriyaki bowl craving every time I order my food it's always fresh hot tasty and perfect

We had a great experience coming here! From the cashier welcoming us to the amazing food! We each got the teriyaki chicken with white rice and veggies. It was served in a to go bowl. It was so delicious! We enjoyed every bite...the place was clean and well taken care of. Would come again when in the area!

i typically love this place, i haven't stopped in for several months, unfortunately i'm very disappointed with this visit, the food was extremely dry, no flavor at all, i'm not sure what happened here, hopefully they're just having an off day, the staff is still very pleasant

Very disappointed, this used to be my favorite place and now their food is absolutely bad. The fried rice was not fully cooked and had no flavor at all. Chicken wasn't fully cooked. Had to throw my bowl away. Lost $18

Great prices and delicious food. The ambiance is casual yet comfortable. The service is quick. I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki. It's hot , definitely not mild. You have the option of fee noodles, or vegetables or brown rice.

This is very disgusting, the place should have more hygiene, I was eating an order that I grabbed to take away and between the food. There was a fly leaving that I don't recommend this place at all. It's disgusting this moment. If I could, I wouldn't even put a star, I wouldn't do it. Gente asquerosa

I gotta keep it real:…read more Finding good AZN food in Monterey County is like unicorn hunting. You'll have an easier time finding a sugar daddy (or mama) at Pebble Beach or Carmel by the Sea. Judging by the name and playful monkey mascot, Cong N Go may not look like a spot serving up seriously delicious and flavorful SE AZN cuisine BUT they are! Owned by two Cambodian sisters, one holds it down in the FOH while the other is cheffing it up in the kitchen. Indoor seating but they have dog-friendly outdoor seating upon request (two tables). F O O D * Sach Ko Jakak: Cambodian Beef Satay (3 pc-$14) The marinated, tender beef skewers were sweet-savory with aromatic lemongrass flavor and nicely charred, slightly crisp edges. I forgot to ask if they offer sticky rice but it would've been the ideal accompaniment. * Fried Chicken Wings w/ jeow som dipping sauce, rice ($18) Perfectly done, the massive whole chicken wings were shatteringly crunchy on the outside and juicy inside. The "crack sauce" (jeow som) was bright and punchy, hitting all the right notes...salty, tangy, sweet, garlicky, and slightly spicy. Served with steamed rice and fresh veggies. * Kuy Teav Cha: Cambodian Stir-Fried Noodles w/ pork, shrimp ($18) Savory, slightly sweet, and umami, the soft, chewy rice noodles came with tender pork, shrimp, and a boiled egg. Raw bean sprouts, cilantro, green onions, and peanuts brought welcome freshness and crunch for a well-balanced dish. S E R V I C E Friendly, attentive, and prompt. Even tho we were the only ones outside, I appreciate that Thea checked on us and kindly offered water to my dogs. A M B I A N C E Casual, modern with about 8-10 tables inside. Overall, Cong N Go is such a gem in Monterey County for deliciously satisfying and flavorful SE AZN food. Def recommend if you're coming from the SF Bay Area and craving AZN comfort food during your staycation. As I was leaving, I was eyeing their housemade pandan coconut chiffon cake in the cold case...which gives me an excuse to return!

The staff were very friendly, and while the music was a bit loud and the decor is fairly minimal, everything was clean and well maintained. The food is made to order and clearly prepared with quality ingredients. The lumpia were excellent. I ordered them without the ranch seasoning because I find it very salty, and I'm not a fan of the accompanying dip for the same reason. Honestly, they're good enough on their own. The Cajun Parmesan wings were cooked perfectly, but I didn't get much Cajun flavor from them. I'd probably try a different wing flavor next time. The fries were great, and the ranch was even better. The Mongolian beef was another standout. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender, and flavorful. There were plenty of onions, which I loved. It was a little heavy on the sauce, but still very enjoyable. Prices are a bit higher than average, but the quality justifies the cost. It's a locally owned business that's definitely worth checking out and, in my opinion, much better than most restaurants in Salinas.

We were looking for some lighter eats and Edwin's provides some great options there. Service was improved and very welcoming (I think last time they hadn't been open long). Once again we had the Lumpia-style Crispy Rolls and the Crispy Chicken Strips, and again they were delicious. My wife also had the Apple Salad which was also very good. I chose the Singapore Chili Prawns, which was not overly spicy, and very flavorful with perfectly cooked shrimp. They have a nice selection of wines by the glass. We were only going to have a quick meal and then head back to the hotel to relax, but it turned out to Open Mike night (basically Karaoke). The two hosts were engaging and good singers, so we stuck around as they were taking requests and had an appreciation for 80's music. Eventually other patrons and singers arrived, and we ended up sticking around for 2 hours. It was a lot of fun, and the manager brought us a couple of Coconut Macaroons on the house, that were yummy. One piece of constructive criticism for the owners is that they need to upgrade the space to give it more of a tropical resort vibe, which would make it a really unique option in Carmel along with the menu. The space as is, is a good foundation. Just a few new light fixtures and some larger plants would create a really cool space. As an example, they should look at pictures of Khaluna in Minneapolis.

Menu looked promising and from what I smelt, it was gonna be a good experience. Not sure if they're understaffed but I waited for almost 10 minutes to be seated. For context, I was the only one in line, plenty of tables available but none of them were bussed. Finally sat down and service was just bad. I think he was a new guy but no water was given and he wasn't attentive to anyone. Dexter had to step in to take my order. During my time there, I had noticed that they bus the tables LONG after the former customers leave, which led to more people getting delayed in sitting, which was super confusing to watch. The food was genuinely good but the overall experience just overshadows it and I don't know if I'll be back.
