I had a bit of a mix-up here last week during my lunch visit when I ordered the spicy chicken with noodles but was given teriyaki chicken with rice instead. I didn't make a big deal out of it at the time and just went with it. I came back in today and have to give credit where it's due. A staff member named John actually recognized me and remembered the situation, which really stood out. He went out of his way to make things right, and I genuinely appreciated that level of service. This was a nice healthy option for lunch. It was my first time trying it out with my mom who said she went here all the time. I ordered a two-protein bowl with salmon and tofu. The tofu was super spicy! It wasn't bad, just a little over what I was in the mood for, spicewise. The salmon was really good. I liked how they had a lot of different carb options and also a low-carb option to just get it on vegetables. The veggies were a nice mix of zucchini, cabbage, and broccoli, with some tiny carrot shreds that added nothing but some color. Also I didn't realize the bowl for the two-protein option would be that much larger than the medium size one, so it was more food than I could eat! I think if I returned, I'd stick with the medium size. This is in a strip mall with a lot of different eating options. There is plenty of parking. We were regular customers. Last night, we ordered two bowls for pickup, one of which was tofu, as I'm a vegetarian. They gave us two chicken bowls. I called to let them know, and they just said they would refund money for the tofu bowl in about three business days. We will find a different favorite restaurant in the area. Came here and ordered two, Spicy Teriyaki chicken bowls, with one prepared with just yakisoba and the other one is yaki style. According to the menu, Yaki-style is just a stir fry of the protein, noodles, and veggies. What I got for the Yaki style add on (pictures attached) was a stir fry smothered in a Tangy spicy sauce. The sauce was very overwhelming that I had to pour it out onto the lid of the bowl. To management, please mention in the Yaki style add on that the noodles will be stir fry with a tangy sauce, most customers would assume that it's just a regular stir fry with soy sauce mixed in. read more

Company of ~40 employees wanted Teriyaki Madness. I was given the daunting task of keying in everyone's order onto the TM website. TM has a group order option which lets you buy "enough for ~10" items then everyone can serve themselves, but because I got itemized requests from everyone I decided to just key in each "Bowl" one at a time into the system. This was Tuesday. Our luncheon was for Wednesday and we were hoping to get everything at 11am. Keying in everyones order took a little time, but once I got 2-3 done, it wasn't difficult to key in everyones order. Bonuses that I could put the NAME of each employee with their food! So now I got to checkout and realize that I can only select times after 2pm the next day. I called the restaurant and asked if they can possibly get the order to us by 11am. "Absolutely, NO Problem!" I put in the order, zero issues with this huge order of 38 bowls plus enough appetizers for all, and submitted the time for the only available 2pm Wednesday. Crossed my finger, called the restaurant again, and they confirmed they had our order and that it would be ready at 11am (note that they OPEN at 11am). Showed up at 11AM on Wednesday and EVERYTHING was bagged and ready to go. Tossed it all in the car and drove back to the office. Laid out everything on the table. TONS of napkins and bamboo chopsticks and sauce for all. EVERY BOWL was hand written with the NAME of the employee. Amazing service, fast, friendly, and the food was so good... with one exception, the 3 orders of Chicken Katsu was like Jerky... Everything else was PERFECTION. I don't care, it's not enough to bring down the score. 5 stars, and I'm taking the 3 employees who ordered the Katsu out to lunch tomorrow. Yes, were going to Teriyaki Madness! Let me start off by saying that the smell of the grilled chicken is infectious from outside the restaurant. Sooooo good. Every time I've walked by, I was tempted to stop in. I finally did for my first time yesterday. The location of the restaurant sits among a bunch of other options. There is inside as well as outside seating available. We visited on a Tuesday evening and the inside was only a quarter full. I think this business sees most of their clientele opt for take out though. I saw a ton of to-go orders stacking up in the kitchen. The food itself was "good" but - unfortunately - not anything to write home about. The spicy chicken bowl that I ordered had ZERO spice. Which I was SO disappointed. I honestly think maybe my meal was prepared as a standard teriyaki bowl with how sweet it tasted. Don't get me wrong, it was still tasty but I expected "spicy" chicken which was "highly addictive" as the menu boasted. This was definitely not that. Thankfully there are bottles of Sriracha sauce on the tables, which I proceeded to add a substantial amount to my bowl in order to spice it up. I also tried a bit of my wife's orange chicken bowl and - just like the "spicy" chicken bowl, this was absent of any distinct orange flavor. The chicken in the orange chicken bowl is breaded whereas the chicken in the bowl I received was grilled and not breaded. At least there was one difference between the bowls we ordered but aside from the breading on her chicken, our bowls tasted almost identical. Maybe the person responsible for preparing the sauces was out today? Maybe they were fresh out of every sauce except the teriyaki? The rice and veggies that come in the bowl were WAY over cooked. Even my brown rice (which I expect to be toothsome and on the firmer side) was mushy in texture. That was kind of off putting. The sautéed vegetables which included broccoli and cabbage were definitely over done as well, and the cabbage was on the slimy and gooey side. This happens when you use too much oil with these vegetables, sauté them for too long, or steam them for too long. I'm not sure what happened in this case but I think I will try to Yakisoba noodles next time because that is a little more difficult to mess up. We also ordered eight pieces of the potstickers. They were also "good" but also sort of underwhelming. I won't be ordering them again. Overall, this is a fine establishment for a quick bite and I can definitely see it being a good grab and go option to bring to the beach for a picnic. The containers that all orders are served in are quite sturdy and they pack up nicely. From an eco friendly standpoint, I wish reusable plates were used for in-house orders, but I understand why everything is packaged the same in the plastic to go Tupperware style containers. Overall, I'd rate the food a 4/10, service 8/10, and overall value a 7/10. My rating would likely be closer to two starts but the military discount they offer is what pushed me up to 3. I'll come back again to give this another try in the near future. read more

I've gone to this particular location probably close to a half dozen times I'm pretty methodical on placing my order because I order the same every time the first 3 times was great, then the last 2 they messed up the order and put no sauce on the bowl I wasn't going to drive a half hour back so they he dog ate well, this last instance was the same thing but I checked before leaving and no sauce when I told them they apologized and put the wrong sauce on it , like I said I order the same every time I hear the cashier telling her boss I diidnt order mad spicy. that's poor customer service when I know what I ordered in fact I asked for extra sauce on the side and she said it's .27 extra I know what was said, skip Marina go to salinas read more

I want to say that the four stars is for the friendly fast service more than anything here. Everytime I have ever been in this location the service has been excellent. Super friendly cashier taking orders and always helpful when making menus choices. I usually end up here hungry AF, trying to make a healthy fast food choice. The restaraunt is also clean. Not exactly cheap, but the quantities are fairly huge and a regular size bowl can fee me two meals. The food is itself is a different story. Not bad at all, but not that fabulous either. Middle of the way. I suppose I am partial to my own cooking. My recent visit consisted of the teriyaki chicken breast with brown rice and veggies. The chicken was dry, if not for the side of teriyaki I would have been sad. The rice was think and pasty. The veggies were yummy and crispy though, much appreciated for the freshness. Next time I will order the protein bowl that is only veggies and meat. A side of edamame, which is hard to mess up, and they did not, and off I was. Home to enjoy a meal not cooked by myself. The chicken provided me with a good source of lean protein that is for sure! The amount of rice in the bowl was slighty ridiculous, but I suppose I can use the leftovers for fried rice. And, at least they do not skimp on it! So there is that. One of the workers came up to me and told me nicely to just use it for water which I said okay thank you. Over heard the same worker talking about it and laughing about us so we offered to pay for a full size drink since they seemed so bothered by it .
