Parking is pretty bad during the lunch hour. It's in a small shopping center with limited parking. I wound up parking down the residential side street about a block away. Had the #21 Fish & Tempura Shrimp. The fish and tempura shrimp were okay. The rice was fair. But the salad was warm and limp. I'm sure it's because of the hot foot inside the container. I can see how hot it could get in the summertime, because of the sun shining onto the awning and little air circulation. This is a bomb little hole in the wall spot I've been going to for years. The staff is friendly and the food always hit the spot.

My better half always raves about Teriyaki Plus (a favorite lunch place for many in the area). Parking lot is a small shared lot with other businesses but parking is easy with spots reserved for Teriyaki Plus and plenty of street parking. There's a couple of tables if you want to eat there but most people seem to get their food as take-out (probably best when it gets dark as its Sepulveda - if you know, you know). I ordered Chicken Katsu while she ordered her usual Chicken Gyoza (pot stickers). Both were tasty and filling - they don't skimp out on either quantity or quality. I wish I could give them a good review. I've tried it multiple times. Let me just say don't order the chicken "breast" it's a lie. I am very sensitive to chicken cuts. I had to throw away/ feed it to my cats (some of the cats didn't even want it actually...) because the menu was incorrect. They gave me a disgusting cut of chicken that was NOT breast whatsoever. I paid extra to get that cut... they just throw in whatever they feel like. Gyoza is OK, nothing special. The chicken is awful. I highly recommend the #11, which is the spicy chicken plate. It's chicken on top of a bed of rice, with this delicious spicy sauce they pour on top. Also comes with some sides and a small salad. I also recommend the #12, the chicken katsu plate. Think of it has Asian-style chicken nuggets, as the chicken is battered and fried and comes with some amazing dipping sauces. I'd say this is as close to authentic teriyaki as you'll get in LA. I've lived in Japan and hawaii for majority of my life so I'm very familiar with street food style teriyaki. If you're missing that familiar taste from either of those two places, this is the best option. I've been to many Japanese restaurants since moving to California and they get the ratio of savory to sweet the best here.
