We really like this place the food is always good . But for a while now the service has gone down. Always see new employees and everyone just seem all over the place. Yesterday we showed up and stood at the front for over 10 minutes just waiting to be greeted or offered a table. It was not busy. I asked 2 employees and they said " oh she will be back" any how the girl finally did come back didn't acknowledge us or ask if we had been helped. I told her do we just sit or you give us a table? She said ohhh how many are you. On top of that they have added the 3% surcharge on debit cards which is illegal by the way. Credit cards you can but not debit... It always really loud in there. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing and concerning. I placed a pickup order and, after driving approximately 20 minutes back to my office, realized I had been given the wrong order. Because of the restaurant's mistake, I then had to drive another 20 minutes back to have the issue corrected. I handed the incorrect roll back to the employee, and right in front of me and a group of customers sitting at the sushi bar, he proceeded to offer the same roll I had just returned to another customer, asking if they wanted it. I was honestly shocked. This food had already left the restaurant, been transported in my possession, taken to my workplace, and then brought all the way back. To watch an employee casually attempt to give that returned food to another customer was incredibly unsettling and disgusting. It immediately made me question the restaurant's food handling practices and what may happen with other returned orders when customers are not there to witness it. While I ultimately received a refund, that does not change how poorly the situation was handled. I had already spent a significant amount of time driving back and forth because of an error that was not mine and there seemed to be very little concern about the inconvenience or the seriousness of what I had just witnessed. Mistakes with orders happen, and I completely understand that. What determines the quality of a restaurant is how those mistakes are handled. Pancho Villa roll is really flavorful with some kick to it. This restaurant is very keen on presentation and incorporating Mexican taste into their sushi. The service can be a bit slow at times, so it's better to go in knowing what you want to order already. Drinks are strong. They have plenty of TVs and seating options - sushi bar, high tops, booth/tables, and bar seating. Parking can be a bit tricky as it's a shared lot and there are various signs for the neighboring businesses only. The bathrooms are on the smaller side and last time I went, one toilet didn't flush and another stall didn't have toilet paper. Granted, it was the night of the dodgers World Series game 7 so they were extremely busy, but I feel that the bathroom should be made a priority. read more

She spent more time talking with the drunk table behind us than checking on us and only came by once we were basically done eating. To make things worse, my uncle pulled a long strand of hair out of the first sushi roll he was about to eat. Overall, really disappointing experience and definitely not service deserving of the tip that was left at all. My uncle is way too nice and left $60 tip for the shittiest table service ever. 3 Hours to pickup our food, they gave my order to someone else and felt ignored by staff We ordered from La Diabla Sushi through Grubhub at 7:30 PM on Valentine's Day and understood it might be a little delayed. Our pickup time was supposed to be 8:20 PM, but when we arrived it had been pushed to 8:50 PM. When we came back to pick up our food, we were told someone else had already picked up our order. Other customers seemed to be having similar issues but somehow received their food before we did. The manager never came out to speak with us, and the original staff member helping us disappeared for an hour. Another staff member did help us, but she seemed frustrated throughout the interaction. We didn't end up getting our food until around 10pm. The most disappointing part was the staff's attitude -- there was no apology, and the interaction felt very dismissive. I would definitely recommend this business. It's really loud in there so don't expect it to be a sit down restaurant where you can have a conversation with someone. It was definitely a different experience and kind of felt like a nightclub. I really enjoyed the armadillo roll and aguachiles roll. Staff was friendly, but the service wasn't too great. I got my appetizer and food before I got my drink. It also took a couple of minutes to refill my water and instead of just refilling it with a pitcher, they took my cup and straw. They provided me with a new straw which seemed kind of wasteful. Anyways, would recommend but keep in mind that it is noisy. read more
