    Chicken katsu bowl
    Carissa P.

Solid spot for a meal! I went during my work lunch break and noticed a solid number of folks eating inside on a Monday. The place is no frills, so don't come expecting anything fancy. Staff was kind and got my food out hot and fresh in less than 10 minutes. I ordered a chicken katsu bowl which came out to $9.49 total (including tax). Solid meal, and the provided teriyaki (the best of the sauces), katsu, and spicy sauces were all yummy. Will be back to try other items!

Those of you who know me aren't surprised I ended up here. This place looks sketchy and the ac isn't enough to cool the covered patio. I have passed by this place many times and yes I was a little hot while I ate but honestly the food was great! I had chicken and steak skewers over rice with a small green salad. The skewers were tender and very flavorful. The rice was perfectly steamed and the salad was lightly dressed like Cole slaw. This is not some place you want to go if you're not into hole in the wall spots. This place is perfectly suited for people like me who value flavor over frills.

I got a chicken katsu bowl, and this shrimp/chicken bowl for $25! Such a steal. Food came out in a timely manner, and service was fast. It was pretty good tasting! Shrimps were delicious and had great teriyaki flavor. Hefty serving of rice! They also give a gyoza on the side! Theres indoor seating!

Didn't want to travel far but was in the mood for Teriyaki so decided to give Teriyaki plus a try. On first view it doesn't seem all that special. The parking center it is in definitely seems sus and I had some wild people watching while I ate my lunch. However, that lunch was phenomenal. I ordered the Katsu Chicken Bowl which was both cheap and delicious. The chicken was breaded perfectly and, while thin, was not over cooked. The Katsu sauce that came with it was also perfectly balanced. They list Gyoza per piece which I love. Sometimes I don't want a full 6 or 8 or whatever restaurants force as a serving. Here, I ordered 6 for my friend and I to share and we had to fight over the last one. They were crisp and well filled. All of the food we enjoyed was excellent and the staff were kind and attentive. Outside of the shopping center being kind of suspect, this place is a MUST try!

What a gem. Service was friendly and helpful as it was our first time, they have an unassuming two stage seating area to accommodate preferences, and it just really strikes me as one of those classic high quality no frills places. The guy came out to give us our order and said hi to my dog and I can see myself coming back from the beach and just chilling in the courtyard here or bringing a group by. When I ordered the whole kitchen said "hey!" And you can tell everyone is chilled out and laid back. The katsu is fantastic! We are no strangers to katsu and the portion and flavors was great! We split a single order but I'm eager to come back and try the combination. Right down the street from my auto shop so I'll be stopping here in the future. The miso soup was a great addition--definitely recommend. The price point, service, vibe, all on point! Thanks Teriyaki plus and we'll see you soon!

Lot of parking full covered patio very nice food was fresh and very good I got the beef chicken skewers The chicken was very moist and spicy really good flavor beef tasted like a short rib very good stuff here

    What does this mean ?

Horrible service, woman in front taking order has a bad attitude and she has no welcoming to restaurant I. Asked for the number 6 and wanted to replace shrimp with chicken and she up charged me $5 make that make sense shrimp to chicken ? I always order from the one in chatsworth and it's nothing compared to that location don't plan on returning and I waited almost 45 mins for one plate order INSANE !

We decided to stop by Teriyaki Plus since it's right across the street from the gym I go to. VERY convenient because honestly I didn't feel like driving anywhere else. To start off we were greeted with the warmest welcome. The cashier was so sweet! We did dine in. I kinda liked how they had shows on tv while we waited. calm and clean ambience. Now as for the food: meats were super juicy and marinated well! The rice was soft and buttery. The salad was light and delicious. Combo included 1 gyoza, 1 tempura fry, and 1 wonton. Loved the crunch on them! Honestly it was a great post work out meal.

saw this on a tik-tok by a guy named Jason & gawd dang if he wasn't right on how delish this katsu is...! I got the #12 combo, chicken katsu, beef skewers, salad, which to be honest, I probably won't eat cuz yeah, ya know. I'm a carnivore, for the most part. I guess I'll save it for later. also, the staff was friendly & awesome. the woman that took my order one who Jason was. he's a regular. the cook thanked me & I too, thanked him. I'm probably gonna try everything on that menu, too be honest, but for now, thanx to the owners, the staff & Jason for showing me new favorite place to eat... I gotta finish my dinn'uh, but im glad I saw this Jasons' post. props to him for sure...! get this plate, y'all won't be disappointed... eat well my frenz...

Great food, the workers were super helpful and welcoming, the food was great! If you're thinking of coming please come with time as it does take more than 10-15 min to make the food. Pls don't rush them, this spot hits home

Decided to try this spot after a workout. Portion was smaller than expected, but the protein had a nice char and tasted solid. One fried item was a bit stale, but overall, I can't be mad at it. Would still come back for sure.

Sugar Daddy Roll - scallop on outside, yellowtail on inside. Everything was fresh. Again a little heavy on the sauce so taste was overwhelmed by the ponzu. But tasty. Could use a textural element. I ordered for an eel avocado cucumber roll with light rice. Unfortunately, they lack tamari sauce for those with wheat allergies and don't offer gluten-free noodle options. Despite the crowded restaurant, there were four servers wandering around, but we didn't even have the same server throughout our meal. We had four different people come to our table, which was quite confusing at times. I ordered a baked salmon roll to replace the soup It never arrived, and they still attempted to charge us at the end. Finally, we had to ask them to remove it from the menu. I would have loved this place if it had been more accommodating. The ambiance was charming, with a cozy booth and wooden decor throughout. The atmosphere was not too loud, which added to the comfort. However, I was disappointed that they didn't provide gluten-free noodle options. Honestly, I had high hopes for this restaurant, but it fell short of my expectations.

I placed an order online and immediately called the restaurant because one of the rolls I ordered did not have an online option to substitute soy wrap for seaweed. Another roll did have that option, but for the Wagyu roll I specifically needed to speak with someone to make sure it could be made with soy wrap due to an allergy. I was placed on hold for over 15 minutes. I eventually hung up and called back multiple times, only for the calls to go straight to voicemail. It took more than 20 minutes before someone finally answered. I was told they were busy and that he was the only person there answering the phone. I explained that I needed to make sure the Wagyu roll was made with soy wrap because of an allergy. He told me the chefs had already made the roll and that soy wrap costs extra. The extra charge was never the issue--I would have gladly paid it. What mattered was making sure the food was safe for me to eat. The person on the phone then specifically told me he would ask the chefs to remake the roll. I thanked him and trusted that, after clearly stating this was an allergy, the restaurant would take it seriously. When I received my order, the roll had NOT been remade. Instead, someone had written on the receipt, "chefs already made it." That is completely unacceptable. Why tell a customer that the chefs will remake an item because of an allergy and then knowingly send the original item anyway? If they were unwilling or unable to remake it, they should have told me that directly instead of assuring me it would be handled. I understand restaurants get busy. I understand soy wrap costs extra. Neither of those things excuses disregarding a clearly communicated allergy after telling a customer the food would be remade. This wasn't simply a forgotten preference or modification. It was an allergy concern, and the way it was handled was careless, disrespectful, and potentially dangerous. I expected much better.
