The owner whom I believe is the cashier always greats you with a smile, which is always a nice thing to receive. I mostly always gets their #3 Teriyaki Chicken (White Meat) it comes with steamed rice, very small side of salad with their special dressing, 1 small piece of Chicken gyoza & other items. Price is very affordable at $7.99 for two skewers and everything I have mentioned you cannot beat that, specially when you compare it to a Big Mac (Unhealthy) combo from McDonalds at around the same Price. I have had their Chicken Yaki Soba in the past and although it is delicious I always come back to that #3 Chicken white meat combo. OOOOOOOOOOOOH MY GOODNESS! After eating here, I suffered from this horrible addiction! I just had to come back here! No lie! It was like I missed my long lost girlfriend, except that the girlfriend was food. For me, that actually makes sense as I'm one of many men who's heart lies in their stomachs. I was looking for a place in the area to eat lunch and chose Teriyaki Plus based on the good reviews. Teriyaki chicken bowls are pretty much my favorite meal so I couldn't wait to try them out! My first impression was this place was a bit of a hole-in-the-wall. The woman who took our order was feisty, but in a good way. I ordered the chicken bowl and my dad ordered the Tori bowl. For some reason I was expecting zucchini to be one of the vegetables according to the picture on the menu but I received a salad instead. The salad was kind of a strange addition to the bowl and I threw it away to be honest. Despite the lack of appropriate vegetable variety and the chicken not being all white meat, I enjoyed my bowl. The serving portion was quite large so the price is very reasonable. I also tried my dad's Tori bowl and while the portion was smaller than mine, the chicken appeared to be of much better quality than mine as well. Overall, I would say Teriyaki Plus offers really good dishes at a very reasonable price. After seeing pictures on Yelp, I regret not getting the Katsu bowl because it looks really good. It's served with a side salad, 2 gyoza's, a piece of tempura, & a fried wonton. I got it on brown rice instead of white rice. It was $14.95 + $1 extra for the brown rice. The short ribs were delicious & plentiful! The salad wasn't anything special but it was a nice add in to the meal. I was extremely disappointed with my meal from Teriyaki Plus. I ordered a Teriyaki White Meat Chicken over rice plate. Upon arriving home, I took one look at the chicken and could tell it was dark meat and then after tasting it left no doubt in my mind it was dark meat. I then called the restaurant to complain and was advised white meat was used. Rather than argue over what type of chicken was used, it tasted so badly, I just tossed the whole meal in trash to put a smile on my face. In addition, the teriyaki sauce tasted awful too. First off the owner was very nice, after placing my order when I asked for water, she so kindly brought out a pitcher to the table for me to refill my cup, very nice. Now on to the food, I ordered the dark meat chicken teriyaki plate which was perfect for a lunch. This included a salad with a tasty dressing, a few gyozas and the chicken over rice. Walking in, it's semi covered patio, with outdoor seating with a few seats inside near the counter area. I ordered the Chicken Yakasoba to eat in. It came in a to go container just in case i didn't finish it. First of all the noodles are thinner than Chow mein noodles. This dish had a good portion of chopped chicken, and various vegetables. Never had a bad meal here... Discovered this place a few months back..those familiar with the area will remember back in the day it used to be a Taco Bell...you can still make out the trademark architecture. VERY CLEAN! My wife is a stickler for these things, and I had no qualms whatsoever about bringing her here. One glance down at the floor and behind the counter and you can tell they run a very clean, tight ship. As my lead in states, I have never had a bad meal here. I usually get the spicy chicken (dark meat) but have tried the chow mein, terry bowls, as well as others. Always good. Given the choice normally between light and dark meat, I usually go light, but the dark meat here is still excellent. Big portions ensure you leave full. The gyoza and tempura sides are great, and the sauces at the table allow you to tweak your meal however you like. The spicy sauce is nice, or plain teriyaki is available if you don't want the heat. The salad has a nice dressing with it, and I like to jazz mine up with teriyaki. They even accommodate me when I am feeling like more salad and less rice.. The small cups of kimchi are a nice touch, and your first drink refill is free. I think after that they run $.75, but they do not police this policy like some places might... The staff is great with kids, I have 4 under the age of 10, and they are always very friendly. The kids eat really well here, which I must think is in some part to the food quality and reception. Seating is in and out, casual picnic bench style seating. Probably seats 30-40 total. Takeout is ready and available. I eat here at least once a week at lunch, and sometimes even more often than that. Some in my lunch group would eat here everyday if they could. They swear there is something addictive in the salad dressing. ...I have not confirmed this!! The area and parking are not 5 stars, but I have been to worse, and generally find parking either in the small lot or right in front on the street. Dont let the neighborhood fool you. A good meal is to be had here. To those who say its not authentic: authentic what? Its chicken terryaki, gyoza, rice, salad, tempura, etc, etc...what exactly were you looking for? Certainly not authentic Japanese teriyaki but 100% better than anything you'd find in a food court. I usually go for the flame broiled chicken, beef and shrimp skewers over a ton of brown or white rice and a side salad with miso dressing for only $7.49. The chicken and beef pieces are large and lean, I think the flame grilling gives them great flavor. The tempura and gyoza are hit and miss here. Stick to the bbq meats. Plasma TV's are always tuned to Discovery or CNN so you can stay up to date on Cash Cab or Shark Week :) read more
