    Small Poké

I was craving poke so I stopped by Poke-ya. I ordered a small poke which comes with 2 scoops of protein, I got double salmon. The fish tasted fresh and everything tasted great. I would definitely come back again. The service was friendly and it was straightforward and easy to order. There is some seating inside, but I took my order for to go and enjoyed at home.

Not sure if anything has changed with the food here in the last couple of months, because it seems a little different. Still very much enjoy poke from here. Staff was great and there was parking in the lot outside

It's good but what is this portion size? This is a medium somehow. They are nice and the food is good but how am I paying $17.50 for "medium" and getting such a small portion of food.

This spot finally got its customer service under control- solid, friendly interactions. And the food here is really good. One of the better poke places in the valley. The fish consistently tastes really fresh and the selection is pretty good. I went with the 4 protein bowl for $19. The bowl was on a bed of white rice, with a bunch of delicious toppings, like jalapeno, tamago, chile edamame, mandarins and cucumbers. For protein, I chose scoops of spicy salmon, albacore, regular salmon and spicy tuna. Since, I love sauces, I put a bunch on top, including citrus ponzu, spicy mayo, chilli oil and more. To finish off my creation, I added some ginger and 3 scoops of crispy onion on top. The result was outstanding and each bite was very special. Definitely one of the best poke spots! I take mine usually to go, but if you wanna dine in, they do have 2 tables inside and the place is, while small, yet air-conditioned pretty well, thus creating a comfortable environment to just grab a bite right there on the spot. Will definitely come again!

Fish was really fresh, service was great. I came in around 3:00 PM. Young lady helping me was really nice. She was very informative, i had asked for edamame as my base and she instantly knew I wanted it as an add-on and corrected me in a very polite and professional manner. The food itself was very tasty. Everything tasted like they were prepared that morning. The inside was small, had around 15 seats.

I can't travel to Hawaii to get my favorite poké but this place sure comes in close as my 2nd favorite place! decently priced for the serving size, super fresh, and not long of a wait. I feel the protein scoop size could be a little more generous, IMO. You can also order online for pickup. Parking lot is super small, but something always opens up. My go to is- medium size, 1/2 white rice 1/2 spring mix, crabmeat, seaweed salad, edamame beans, cilantro, cucumber, green onion, jalapeño, red onion, tuna, salmon, house sauce, sesame oil, spicy sauce, sesame seed, furikake, and crispy onion. Alternatively, i leave out the red onion and add mandarin Oranges and spicy mayo

Kind staff, large portions, lots of choices of toppings, like how they mix all the poke in with the sauce

I'm always on a quest for a no frills poke bowl that focuses on the fish and not just filler. There are tons of ways to customize these bowls and you can double up on the extras you want and lose all of the random filler most places use. Salmon (spicy and regular) tasted very fresh. The portions are huge though! Next time I'll get a much smaller portion and just add the extra portion of fish that I want!

This was my first time eating here (ordered take out) and I was pleasantly surprised. I had the medium bowl half white rice, half spring mix, with salmon, shrimp, and tuna. You can see everything that was added in the screenshot of my order. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and flavorful. My only critique is the portion balance--there was a bit too much spring mix and seaweed salad, which left less room for the protein. I would have preferred a more generous portion of salmon, shrimp, and tuna. The amount of protein didn't seem like it would be enough even for a small bowl.

Because of that great experience, we decided to go back after a long time, this time on a Sunday. When we walked in, we immediately noticed a big difference . There were a lot of empty tables. We ordered shrimp cocktails (cócteles de camarón) and sat down. Unfortunately, this time the food was not good at all. The juice in the shrimp cocktail was extremely salty,so salty that I couldn't eat it. I went back to the counter and explained the issue. The girl helping us was very nice and explained that they cure the shrimp with salt since it's not cooked. She offered to remake it, which they did, and I appreciated the effort. However, even the remake just didn't taste good to me. I like my seafood to taste fresh, with a natural seafood flavor not overly salty or loaded with condiments. This experience made me wonder if something has changed at the restaurant, especially since it was so empty compared to our first visit. The staff was friendly and did try to make it right, which I appreciate, but overall this visit was disappointing. Since it's also out of our way and we only stopped because we happened to be in the area, I don't think we'll be coming back. It's unfortunate because our first experience was so much better. The ambiance was pleasant. They had a couple of TVs playing football, music in the background, and the place was clean but the food just didn't live up to our previous experience.

That side is named Kusina Ni Kuya and has a vast catering menu. I came here for a carry out from the Cajun side and picked as I did before, the half pound shrimp. The only difference is this time, I opted for the peeled version. This was prepared in the house Kuya sauce, medium spicy, with an extra of boiled okra. The dish did not disappoint and was consistent in texture and flavor, and a glorious mixture of spices as before. This entrée has a lot of oil added to it, but that is what brings out this burst of taste and satisfaction. Everything was soaked with the thick sauce. This time what I did at home was, I boiled a few golden premium small potatoes with skin, sliced them into quarters and added it to the mix. Once it soaked up the gravy of the shrimp dish, the potatoes ascended to a totally different level. So how does the peeled version compare to the whole shrimp version? I would say that the whole shrimp selection is the way to go. The meat is not overcooked and you get the flavor off the shrimp shells too, that kicks it up more than a notch. In addition, the fact that you have to use your fingers to get to the shrimp meat (though messy), heightens the pleasure of the dining experience.

Let me be crystal clear--Cajun Ni Kuya just embarrassed half the seafood spots out there…read more Absolutely embarrassed them. I went in for the $38.99 all-you-can-eat, and what did I get? Not some sad, watered-down, reheated nonsense like other places try to pass off--I got REAL Cajun seafood. Properly cooked. Properly seasoned. Actually worth paying for. I ordered crawfish, clams, mussels, and head-on shrimp, and every single tray came out piping hot, drenched in that bold, garlicky, buttery sauce that hits you like a freight train. Not bland. Not timid. Not "lightly seasoned for the masses." No--this is full-flavor, unapologetic, get-it-all-over-your-hands Cajun. The crawfish? Seasoned all the way through, not just dusted on the outside like some lazy joke. Other spots--take notes. The shrimp? Perfectly cooked, heads packed with flavor. If you're scared of that, stay home and order chicken tenders. The clams and mussels? Clean, tender, not a single one questionable--which already puts them ahead of places charging MORE and serving LESS. And then the sides--this is where it gets ridiculous. Boiled okra, sweet corn, quail eggs, all soaked in that same sauce? That's not a side--that's a statement. Everything is absorbing flavor like it's supposed to. No shortcuts. No laziness. Just execution. And here's what really separates them from the clowns-- the quality never dropped. You keep ordering, they keep delivering heat. Same flavor. Same intensity. No "second round is worse" nonsense. That's what happens when a kitchen actually knows what it's doing. Meanwhile, other seafood spots are out here charging premium prices for bland, overcooked garbage and calling it "Cajun." Stop it. Just stop. This is how it's DONE. Messy. Bold. Loud. Flavor in your face. Hands covered in sauce. Zero regrets. If you leave Cajun Ni Kuya unsatisfied, don't blame the restaurant--blame your taste buds. I'll be back. And I'm bringing an appetite that's ready for war.
