The Terminix technician, Ratu Bevu just completed my quarterly service and he did a fantastic job of removing all the cowebs in the front and back or my house, along with the side of the house. He was also very careful when doing the spraying making sure none of the spray got into my plants located in the front of the house. I am giving Ratu Bevu a 10 out of 10 for his great service today as well as being very cordial and friendly. read more

I tried Terminix, and they managed to drop the ball at every level since the start. My first appointment, the guy showed up without calling or knocking. He sent me a text that he was leaving and would try back later. When he did come back, he tried to avoid doing any of the parts the welcome email said were "most important" like treating the crawl space. Second guy was better, but my appointment was apparently dropped onto his schedule without anyone telling him. I had to call in to get someone to tell him he was supposed to treat my house. He did a more thorough job, but also said he couldn't do much about the pests we hired Terminix to treat. Their customer service was also bad. When I tried to cancel, I found they don't give you a way to cancel on their site. You have to call in and speak with a special department. They offered two months free and said they would have a manager call me. Nobody ever called, no effort was ever made. They also never showed back up. When I emailed them back to cancel, they didn't respond. Don't use this company! They overcharge and under deliver. Either buy the equipment and chemicals yourself (which together are cheaper than the initial startup costs with Terminix) and do it yourself. Or hire a local more legit business. Terrible communication. They show up without giving you a heads up and then charge you a full fee even though they didn't get access to inside the house (cause I didn't know they were coming). They don't show up when they DO give you a heads up. Try to call and you can't break through the wall to talk to the local office, so communication is HORRIBLE. I will NEVER use them again. I signed a contract with Terminix when we experienced a problem with roof rats. We are again having a mouse problem and I can't get a service tech out to my house to help, which is part of the "SERVICE " contract I signed up for. I was given a date and no one showed up. It turns out they have to call you and CONFIRM they are actually gonna show up on that date. Huh??? My tech does not answer my text messages or voicemail. I've requested a new tech. During this last phone call trying to get a tech to come out, the CS rep said they were scheduled for the 19th of July. I said that was Bull Sh*t. The CS rep Chris then proceeded to chew me out for cussing and that he doesn't have to put up with people using bad language at him. He went on for about a minute or two on that subject . Consumer Beware! I contacted this company for mouse remediation after being assured they would not use traditional mouse traps and that the service would cost $200. However, when the technician arrived, he simply placed two mouse traps and then charged me $340 -- far more than what I was quoted. When I called to question the charge, I was told I had no choice but to pay the full amount. I also requested to speak with a manager and was promised a return call, which never happened. To make matters worse, three days later, I received a contract asking me to sign for $400. I feel completely misled and overcharged for minimal service. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and failure to honor the original quote are extremely disappointing. I had my house tented on August 15, 2025, 7 months ago. It cost over $4000. I have now discovered that I have active termites in at least 3 places. I called Terminex to report and ask for a remedy. I have now had 3 appointments for someone to show up to see my complaint. All 3 times, no shows! This morning was the last straw. In May 2025, I paid $1,250 for an exterior treatment. The technician spent only 20 minutes drilling three holes and applying product. Feeling the service didn't match the high cost, I requested a refund shortly after. While I was told orally that a refund would be issued, nothing ever arrived. I have since followed up with the customer retention department three separate times. Each time, I was promised a callback from a manager, but I have yet to receive a single phone call. It is one thing to have a pricing dispute, but it is another to be repeatedly ignored by management after being promised a resolution. I signed up with Terminix hoping for reliable pest control and peace of mind, but unfortunately, the service has fallen short on multiple fronts. First, the scheduling was a mess. I had technicians not show up for confirmed appointments, and getting in touch with customer service was a challenge every time because they direct you to a call center and not to the local branch. The local branch just subs out their work, and no one knows what was promised by the other person. When the technician did show up, the service was horrible and it was clear what they told me in person about the decontamination of my garage was a complete lie to get to me sign and pay. They improperly installed weather strips and literally sprayed disinfectant on top of pee stains and left it there. I really wanted this to work out, but based on my experience, I can't recommend Terminix. Their sales practices are unethical and their service is unreliable and horrible. I will never use Terminix again. I paid for a 12 month contract, with initial work to be done at the start. It's been almost a month since the first visit and contract start, but they haven't actually completed the initial work. Tech said he'd come back in a week, didn't answer my text messages. After two chats with support, I was finally told I have an appointment I was never told about in 10 days. I asked that my contract be extended a month for free since the initial work won't be completed until 5 weeks after the start date, and they refused. read more

There are many things wrong with this company and their service. 1. The last few quarterly inspections, no work was performed. They dropped by my house unannounced with no heads up text or phone call or email. When they came here, they said the inspection was "completed". They did not check the bait stations . Completely scam. 2. I am contracted to have the termite presentation plan service which also includes a full house inspection. The inspector comes observes some old termite activity in the house like mud tubes. He said there was no damage to the house but did not like what he saw. So he scheduled an appointment two weeks later which I am waiting for. I've asked him for an inspection report since then but he is not responding well and that he's backed up on his report. Usually the inspection reports are generated very quickly, so I don't know what's going on here. Depending on how the treatment goes this week, I might be finding another company. read more

Worst company ever. Started out strong, then about 6-12 months ago they started getting worse and worse, to the point that I called and scheduled 3 inspections and they never showed. Then they sent me a bill for $100, for which nothing was done. Then they sent the bill to collections. Unbelievable. They plugged up the hose that were left. They said that they would come out to the next three years to make sure everything was good so the man that they assigned me too. His name is Jeremiah. He came out one time to spec the place just to see if everything was OK so then we saw a mouse and I called him to come out and check and he never came. I called him like five times he made an appointment with me once and he never came. He never called back or anything so I'm not sure what to do up to this point but write this review after I spent $3100. You would think that they would keep their part of the bargain and come out to see to make sure that everything was still going fine but no I haven't heard from anyone. Nov 4 I contracted with Terminix, for rats in the loft. They did block all the entrances And vents, then the rats came in the house. ( in 35 years here we never had a rat problem) Now, because we took all food and water away, they are chewing on everything, the carpets, my purse, chairs, and they just started chewing the rubber on my husbands power wheelchair. DO NOT USE TERMINiX I don't think they know what they are doing. I paid up front 3500. for rat and termite service. Termite included putting traps around the outside of the house And that's it. The assessor who came out was knowledgeable and professional. He collected my payment for full service to my house and assured me that the following Tuesday someone would come out. No one ever showed up so I called the center the next day to realize that I was scheduled for that Friday, without ever getting a notice via email or text. When I was able to speak to the original salesman/assessor, he informed me that it was management's decision to push back my service. The inspector told us that we had raccoon families and squirrels living in the attic. He gave us a quote of $3400 to get rid them. HE also said we had termites and said he'd give us a quote on that and did not. When the repair folks showed up - they only had notes saying we had squirrels and brought small cages - was the inspector lying or? WE waited an hour for another employee to bring out the cage for the raccoon. We were charged for the whole service even though they need to come out two more times - to clean the attic and close off the holes - amazing business model - prepay for no service. I had a bad experience with Terminix sales person from their San Jose office. I was over charged for $950 for a less than 15 minutes local treatment job (5 minute drill and treat and less than 10 minute patch and clean). When calling back, I was told it's Terminix's standard charge. And it only covers three month warranty. My side door frame had a small termite issue. I use Terminix's monthly pest control service and think they are a trust worth company. But it turns out to be my worst experience: unprofessional, dishonest and price gouging. Please be aware and don't sign up any work with them before you do your homework. I wish I had checked the Yelp reviews before. read more

Terminix is a joke. I have been with them for 2yrs and I had enough. I had multiple subscription services with them for pest control and subterranean termites. Every time I called their customer hotline to schedule the regular inspection. They will schedule but never show and no prior notification, so the appointment will get push 2days later for the same time. I wouldn't know until logon to the account to see the push out date. For the first time, I could understand but this continue to happen over-and-over. I have to take days-off out of work to wait for them to come. If you are looking someone to show up on-time or at least the same day that was scheduled, this is not the company to do so. If I can give an negative rating I would... I have contracts with Terminix for my residential, second home and Commercial /residential apartment complex and every time I get ready to schedule an appointment for the commercial/ apartment complex of which I paid the agreement for service to both they keep sending their techicians to my primary residence or my second residence outside of the contract or agreement. I'm so frustrated with this service I'm so tempted to cancel it for my commercial/ and residential apartments because my tenants are really suffering with the lack of professionalism, lack of or missed communication and the lack of service provided when requested. Bas service, terrible quality and unethical company. We brought in Terminix for a free estimate. The person that came in allegedly found a bed bug and recommended we sign up for a 6 month contract as it was the only way to get rid of these pests. We were desperate thinking we had bed bugs and signed it. 2 treatments later there was no improvement at all so decided to get a couple of other consultations. The experience with them was like night and daym so much better and more informative. They first asked a bunch of questions on the bites, where they are located etc, and both the other companies immeditey said this not sound like bed bugs but a different pest. Suggested getting dogs in to sniff them out and rightly so, we don't have bed bugs. DO NOT GO WITH TERMINIX. read more

This company gets a -0 Rating. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau. There is no way to contact the Branch Manager. The sales person Jeremiah Batiste they sent out was extremely incapable of customer service and would not give me his managers phone #. I cancelled my service contract months ago. I have spoken with at least 6 representatives with Terminix and I am still receiving billing statements, even though my contract was cancelled. I feel like they are SCAMMERS. They did not provide the services they promised. They sent a third party company out with no Terminix Credentials and never told me nor did they provide the third party with all of the equipment to carry out the service agreement. The materials (access covers for critters) they did use were below standard and were already destroyed within hours after they were in place. Ther were not able to provide a work order and did not require me to sign anything when they were finished with the "so called" service. Terminix did not follow up with me and correct the issues after countless phonecalls. I would NEVER recommend this company, nor will I ever use them again. Until I was charged for a service appointment that never happened. No text communication to schedule the appointment from the field employee. No text confirmation that the service had been completed. I have dogs, locked gates, and cameras. Terminix offered to send the employee out again to redo the service....which never happened in the first place. 2 more no-show appointments for the redo. I reached out 4 more times and received nothing but lies from their customer service about looking into a refund. I finally was able to cancel service and am now trying to justify my dispute with my credit card company. read more

I wish I had checked the Yelp reviews before I signed on with Terminix. They are expensive and tell you they will be right out to your house if you see or catch a rodent. This does not happen. They told me several times they are "booked up" for at least 5 days and can't even view the calendar past that time. I needed Termite assistance so I called Terminix in Pleasanton The rep that cane was nice but keep wiping his forehead. Learned later he went home sick after our appointment. He evidently didn't listen when I asked they not spray my home as I have lots of feral cats n my dog and dont want them sick. i did need the ingound stations n help with front wall. Due to his illness I didn't receive a copy of my contract or receipt for my $5000+ until 4 days before man arrived to spray. I called the call center immediately when I read the contract and cancelled the spray which I was charged $1200 for When the man showed up to spray i asked him not to -explained I had called n cancelled and he was upset. He did install the 6 in ground ports which was fine. I work from home and my husband is retired n home and we DID NOT see him spray per my request However Terminix Pleasanton refuses to return my $1200. I have called n called. They never call back and no one is ever there to help I am 75 and my husband is 80. $1200 is a lot to us. We recently ran into an issue with mice in our home and attic. We decided to call Terminix to help us and assess the problem. A salesman came out and proceeded to take pictures and measurements and gave us a quote. The price seemed rather large but we eventually agreed on a sum. Once work got underway, we discovered further issues with needing a new roof and had to temporarily stop work. Terminix proceeded to charge my credit card in full before services had been rendered complete. I understand that this was an unexpected situation but how is it ok to charge a customer in full when the work isn't finished?? We had to reach out multiple times and were forwarded to wrong numbers and inappropriate contacts. We finally reached an appropriate representative who listened to our grievances and stated that they totally understand and would follow up and take care of the problem. That was at least a month ago and there has been no further contact from the "supervisor" we spoke with, and no charges to our credit card have been reversed. I will say that our technicians who did all the hard, dirty work were knowledgeable, kind and respectful. Terminix should be grateful for them as they are the only reason I will give any stars. Terminix has turned an already stressful situation into even more of an issue. Come to find out, our salesman was fired not long after this all occurred and I can't help but think we were not taken care of appropriately. I would not recommend TERMINIX Bay Area to anyone. Stay away from this company as they hire sales supervisors to force you to sign up a Rodent exclusion service + 2 years prepaid service (~$2,800). But they don't keep up the promise for the service. The initial visit work for 2hrs wasn't worth $2.8k if they can't provide the service for the signed contract term. I've been calling them for the followup appointment after the initial visit (8 calls in all in last 3 months). They don't return the calls even after escalation to regional manager and branch manager (Oswaldo Lopez) . Not sure if we can get the refund and get the service from someone local. Shame on me for not going under and verifying but after having Terminix as my service provider for so many years, I trusted in what they were saying. The tech who did the rat proofing made a comment like "was that it?" when he finished. Then the cleaners made the same comments which led me to believe I was sold a bill of goods. Then the tech who did the initial work had to come back out since more rats were getting in. Then I caught two rats with my own traps. Totally worth 0 stars. This is a bogus company with a very good (lying) sales department and very bad actual work on the ground. I contacted Terminix for Spider treatment in my backyard. The sales rep came and I explained and showed him all the spider webs we are getting in our backyard. He said they will take care of it and the technicians will deweb the entire house inside and outside, and spray chemicals every three months. The salesperson was really good and hence I signed the contract. He scheduled my first service for the coming Saturday from 8-10 am. We waited all morning that day but no one showed up. Then I called customer service and they told me that the technician was not able to find my address and hence did not come. I was so furious -- the salesperson came without problem, my house is in one of the most desired locations, and the technician did not even call or text me to figure things out. Terminix said that they will reschedule my service and the local manager would call me in 24 hours. I got another service scheduled for next Saturday. This time the technician came and he did not do anything inside the house, and also did not do anything in the backyard. He just spent 10 mins on the outside walls of the house, sprayed something, and told me that he is done. I told him that I hired your company for the backyard and he said that they only do service of the structure and not anything else. So basically this sham of a company charges 140$ for 15 mins of work. Actually, this technician had no intention of working hard, he was just chilling, spent 15 mins and went away. I called customer service again to cancel my service. It was extremely difficult to get in touch with someone but ultimately I got a call back after few hours. A very nice lady said sorry many times and requested me to allow them to send a new technician who will take care of my backyard. The new technician came and again he said that they don't do anything in the backyard. I asked him to leave immediately and do not waste my time anymore. I then immediately canceled my service. Be aware of this company and do not waste your money and time. I feel sorry that these kinds of big firms are taking away work from hard-working individuals. read more

NEVER EVER HIRE TERMINEX! You can not get out of contracts. The work is impossible to get performed, especially if they sell you an exclusion contract. They are highly unprofessional. They debit money out of your account without authorization once they get you account number. They renew contracts without your authority. They have fraudulent sells representatives that come to your house and promise services they never render. Once you sign the contract their policy is the customer is legally obligated to pay the bill regardless if they continue services or not. They work with a fraudulent loan company called "Secure Monthly Affordable Credit" to upsell you on services you will never receive and when you are so frustrated and cancel they will still charge you anyway and renew your service without your authority.
