I love local places that know the locals that well. Our drink orders were taken within a minute of sitting. The hot chocolate were rich and creamy even without whipped cream. I opted not to have it added. I ordered a blueberry muffin as my "appetizer". They offer it as is, or grilled. I love it grilled and it was good and not too filling. For our meals we ordered a table pancake (meaning, a pancake for sharing). It was fluffy and perfectly good - nice and hot. They have "syrup" and it reminded me of being a kid and having Log Cabin syrup. I didn't ask, but it didn't taste like pure maple syrup. I ordered the corned beef hash skillet with a grilled english muffin. It was perfectly cooked and it was delicious. It tasted like canned corned beef hash and I was not mad about it. I truly wanted comfort food and this hit. My friend had the S.O.S. (gravy with beef and pork) AKA Sh*t on a Shingle. It looked soooo good and she stated the biscuit and gravy and meat were good. We took our leftovers home, which will tell you, the portions were decent, the food was delicious and no delicious food would be left behind. I recommend this restaurant if you are interested in diner food, with quick friendly service and plenty of space. I definitely want to come back and get the S.O.S.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Terry & Maxine's Restaurant with my wife, sister-in-law, and her friend, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment we walked in, the cozy atmosphere and the warm welcome made us feel right at home. To start, my wife indulged in a large cup of hot chocolate, loaded with whipped cream, that looked as comforting as it tasted. The friend accompanying us opted for a classic coffee, which arrived steaming and aromatic, setting the tone for the meal to come. For my meal, I chose the Rachel - a delightful sandwich featuring roasted turkey breast, tangy coleslaw, melted Swiss cheese, all perfectly pressed between slices of marble rye bread. It was, in every sense, delicious, hitting all the right notes of flavor and texture. My wife and her sister both went for the Napoleon haddock, accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes. The fish was cooked to perfection, flaky and tender, with the garlic mashed potatoes providing a creamy, flavorful base that complemented the haddock wonderfully. The friend went for a heartier breakfast option, even at lunch: French toast with sides of baked beans and home fries. Well worth the price and the trip. By the way, the prices are very reasonable, great value! This restaurant is family friendly, plenty of seating.
