Looking for something local while in CA. This place is a GEM. Went there twice because the food was amazing. First go around we had the Carne Asada plate, Sausage Breakfast Burrito, Wet (or smothered), and Pancakes, Eggs, and Bacon. Second time around...with an addition person, Carne Asada plate, Waffles (with Blueberries), eggs and bacon, Pancakes and Bacon, and Corned Beef Hash. Also had the Mocha freeze. They did not disappoint us either morning. Service was top notch as well. If we are back in Stanton, we will definitely go back. read more

Let me begin in telling you that I've been going to Terry's for a while now. I've been overdue in writing a review about Terry's. Let me begin to tell you that simply every time I've gone to Terry's in order something there it's been absolutely gigantic in portion I am pretty much a traditional guy I like my carnita asada burritos my breakfast burritos and my hamburgers occasionally my fried chicken. Today I went in there and ordered a double cheeseburger combination included fries and a drink. And let me tell you the double cheeseburger was absolutely huge and very tasty I can't even see the damn thing. The fries that go along with it is about I don't know 5 lb I can't even eat those. Terry's is another one of those Mom Pop cafes that are just absolutely excellent . Enclosing Terry's Cafe is a wonderful place to bring your family and eat a dishes food whatever it may be for certainly a decent price. Pretty decent breakfast spot. I'd definitely recommend the Denver omelette, it is HUGE and tasty. The hashbrowns were pretty soft though and needed to be cooked longer - I'll be sure to ask for them well done next time. The parking lot is kind of a pain in the ass to get to but the biggest plus to this place is the drive thru. It's quick and efficient. Supporting local businesses is a mantra of mine. Finding the local places really isn't too hard. Terry's is off the beaten path, though, in the middle of industrial centers, both light and large. Terry's used to be a local chain restaurant. When they pulled out, a couple of thier workers came together to open their own cafe. Armandini and his wife opened Terry's. Hard working legal immigrants from Mexico, the owners pour a lot of sweat equity into making the cafe a success. It's a cafe, for sure, but the faire isn't just burgers and fries. The owners try to offer Mexican specialty dishes alongside the typical cafe offerings. Breakfast seems to always be packed on weekends. Lunch is packed during the week. They have ample parking, but don't fret if you need to park across Orangewood. It's calm traffic since the street doesn't go through from Western to Beach. The service is great, and I can't help but appreciate them when I see all the workers "doing the dance" behind the counter as they all move quickely to take orders, get them cooked, and send them out to the customers. This is a nice cafe. No lobster...no prime rib...so its not 5 star cuisine. But, the people are great, prices are good, the food is tasty, and they appreciate me, so I appreciate them. 5 stars :-) read more

Okay so when I first walked in I was a little skeptical by my first impression. It really is a little hole in the wall type of place. But the food is SO good. Thank goodness for yelp because good places like this wouldn't be discovered unless people saw the reviews. Anyway came here with the bae and his fam bam, they come here all the time and said it is good every time they come. So they ordered a taco salad (which looked amazing by the way, I didn't get to try a bite so I can't tell ya how it tasted), corn dog, and grilled cheese. We ordered cheese enchiladas combo and a sloppy burger lol (sorry I don't know what it was called, just looked like sloppy Joe on a burger). The babes said it was a good burger and he ate it all! My cheese enchiladas were very good and had a good amount of cheese. Bomb bomb bomb. Overall food was great and came up relatively fast. The kids ate most of their grilled cheese and corn dog. My only complaint that I didn't care for was the fact that the cooks handled your food without gloves. Just barehanded your food while cooking, I was definitely worried about this however no one got sick so this is good! Lol read more

Went to drive through because I was craving huevos rancheros omg probably the worst I've ever had, first off the "sauce" tasted exactly like the stuff that comes in the canned chef boyardee tomato sauce with spaghetti and soggy bell peppers so it's just tomato sauce and bell peppers, the rice and beans were so tasteless. The steak and egg burrito has huge portions of steak and it's only $5.99! The steak is super moist and everything is so savory and delicious. I live here as in I go here very frequently. The food is great and the prices are reasonable as well. They have a really large selection of food items on the menu including various soft drinks and deserts. If you are looking for a place to substitute cooking dinner or just need a healthier option to fast food this is your place. Terry's, to me is the equivalent of an Outlet Mall. The pared down look, counter service & huge inventory of basic offerings makes you think you're getting a good deal but you're really not. So many reviews mention the reasonable pricing but I disagree referring to most of the menu. You need to order wisely. Yes, my boyfriend's breakfast choice of 3 eggs, hamburger patty, hash browns & toast was tasty & somewhat plentiful but let's face it, it's almost 9 bucks. Much of the menu hovers around $7 - 10 but that's what a lot of places charge & you may even get more for your money & probably get a higher quality product. I'm thinking of restaurants as well as casual counter places. Had I ordered a breakfast burrito I may not be so grumpy but I ordered off The Special Menu board this time. My first mistake, second mistake...no prices listed. I did ask the friendly cashier to describe the Chicken & Waffles. She said, "3 pieces of chicken with waffles, fries" what she may have said was, " 3 pieces of chicken with waffles, fried". Either way, fries never came but that wasn't the real problem. The problem was the "pieces of chicken" were actually 3 chicken FINGERS, not actual pieces of chicken and they were on the small side. The waffles were DRY & tasteless. Even syrup didn't help. They were 4 pale small sorry triangles & so not worth the carbs! That was it. Zzzzzzzz. No other item on the plate. I asked how much it was (too late to do anything about it though). Almost $10. What!? I could go to Roscoes and get the real thing for that! We figured it was about $10 after looking at the total on the receipt ( it wasn't itemized) but it was so nothing special we figured $10 would have to be a mistake. This is a popular spot with a loyal crowd so Terry's won't miss us at all but we know we can do better elsewhere. read more
