Went to drive thru and ended up having like 4 different people try to place our order at the WINDOW because they couldn't hear us thru the speaker. All we wanted to order were two chilaqulies and two asada tacos with onion and cilantro n salsa on the side. We open our tacos to find them drowning in red tomato sauce. Metal pieces of a stainless steel pan scrubber. Needless to say we ended throwing the tacos away and giving away our chilaquiles instead of throwing them in the trash. read more

Pretty disappointed. I went in for some breakfast burritos. Service was great, prices seemed fair. Food looked great being prepped from the drive through window. That's when I saw a line cook grab a wad of ground beef and proceed to pound it into shape, bare handed, on the hot prep board. Then proceeded to grab my burrito and move it over, only to continue handling the raw hamburger meat. The ladies that refunded me were kind, I just hope,nobody gets sick here and I will personally never return due to this blatant food safety violation. read more

My husband went through the drive-thru on his way home. He had been waiting for a while for his order (pastrami sandwiches). As he's waiting, he hears the woman at the window say to the cook, "Where's the pastrami?" Then he hears one of the cooks yell out from the back, "Only a gringo would order pastrami." (And yes, my husband is white.) WTF?! How is that okay? Apparently they have a "gringo" menu that we didn't know about. I called and spoke to the manager, Armando, who was somewhat apologetic. He said he would address it. This place has mostly diner-type food. They have a six-page (printed) menu and only one of those pages is Mexican food. So I'm guessing if you order off of any of those other pages (and you happen to be white), this cook has you pegged. The pastrami was dry, yet greasy, and the bread was wet. So there went that. OMgosh! What a surprise this place was! I was in the neighborhood getting my car fixed down the street. My son and I decided to get some breakfast here and saw this place in passing. He got the ribeye & eggs while I chose the chile verde omelet. Both were excellent! Steak was on the thin side but prefect for breakfast size. The chile verde had so much flavor and a nice gravy to it that would make any style eggs delicious. This will be our spot every time our car needs service. read more

Great food and fast service! This joint is a little hole on the wall. Its located on a sketchy corner in stanton. Seems sketchy but don't be fooled, the food is really good. The atmosphere is nice and warm with plenty of seating and parking in the back. They also have a drive through if needed and take order in advance through the phone. I called Terrys 5 minutes prior. I placed my order and walked it there from my office. I paid for my order and was out the door in a matter of 2 minutes. The staff is incredibly fast and the food Is very good. I placed an order of Fried Zucchini. It came out to $4.49 and it included a side of ranch. The order was huge and wasent able to finish it by myself. The Zucchini was warm, crunchy and very juicy. Every bite with filled with a flavor. I got back to the office and shared with my peers. Overall great place to get good food. I highly recommend people place an advanced order through the phone. The staff is fast and attentive to the people that come in. The restaurant has plenty of seating and even includes a salsa area with lemon and pico de gallo. Very good place. While being stranded without a car for a couple hours while it was being worked on in an industrial part of Stanton, my husband and I and our two kids found Terry's Place. They are your typical Mom and Pop family cafe. They are located in the center of all commercial buildings and out of place and very randomly there's like 2 houses next door to Terry's Cafe. The place has a lot of tables and a varying menu from Breakfast to Mexican Food (chorizo y huevos rancheros to asada plates and tamales) to Lunch and Dinner. It's not the kind of restaurant that takes your order at your table. They take your order at the counter, you take a number, have a seat and they will serve you. This was in 2003. In 2011, my husband and I and our now upgraded family with 3 kids, went back. I remembered the place, and wanted something we had not eaten in a long time and was fairly cheap in prices. This goes to show they obviously stood out among the rest even after 8 years! They serve it your way, because I wanted a Garden Burger (as I have been eating vegetarian for a year now) and was very specific about the condiments and things I wanted in my sandwich. My daughter had a cheeseburger meal, my son had a french toast meal and my youngest son had a kids cheeseburger meal.. My husband had a Tbone steak and eggs breakfast. We ate everything and I was stuffed, couldn't even eat the rest of my zucchini sticks and my usually really picky kids ate my food, too. Being such a picky family and particular about our foods and how it's cooked, presented, what we want on the side rather than poured over the top, and all our extra condiments....they got our very confusing and picky order right the first time...LOVE IT! read more

Now this is the place to go for a good breakfast burrito. I come here whenever I'm in town and get myself a bacon with sausage burrito for breakfast. The staff here is really nice and they get your order done quick. This place has many other kinds of food and I'm yet to try them out but my usual is the burrito. Complimented me on my necklace, gave recommendations on food, it was a breath of fresh air. Not many people are that enthusiastic anymore with their job. I got the chicken taco plate with everything on it. The refried beans and rice was AMAZING! The tacos are a given, of course they're great. 2 tacos were more than enough, 1 got to come home. This is a great spot for cheap decent fast food. The drive thru does take longer than normal but they are also putting together a whole restaurant-style meal. This time I got the French Toast when I normally get the amazing breakfast burritos or the avocado burger (which are always delicious). The French Toast wasn't the best and sort of tasted off but overall it's fast food and it's better food than other common fast food. The portions are big and for very little cost for how much food based off other fast food places. Would definitely recommend, it is a great spot. read more

Great staff and good tasting food. I'm a regular here and the staff doesn't stop surprising me. Even the cook recognizes me and he almost always has his back to the customers. Cool guy. The food is well served portions wise and really good. I like going for breakfast. Steak and eggs is a must and ham and eggs is good too. Oh, almost forgot, I sometimes et the fries instead of the hush browns. Waitresses are very attentive. The spot is clean and you can always see them renovating inside and out. I actually spoke with a lady customer and told me that the staff was really nice and that everyone there, even customers were nice. It's just a nice place to eat at with nice people all around The staff seems to get along just fine and they take care of each other. I can see and sense the team work in the atmosphere. The guy at the register was very nice as well (not sure if he is one of the owners). walked in and said it's my first time here, what do you recommend? he said: "welcome home!" and recommended the steak sandwich which was very good. Not bad, steak was tasty and tender. eggs were good, hashbrowns stood out though. They were actually tasty, not bland like a lot of places these days. Probably because they were pan fried with a bit of butter, not sure, but tasted like it. Overall, i still like this place for the price. my only complaints, if i were to be picky, is that after going there 2 days in a row, i've noticed that they didn't even fill the napkin dispensers in 3 booths overnight. Also found an ant on my table, but i didn't find any others, so it could have easily hopped aboard my shoe and climbed onto the table (i have to walk through multiple grassy areas to get to the restaurant since this business area doesn't have sidewalks). lastly, don't forget the Orange Bang! it isn't a choice in the self serve soft drink dispenser, but they have it available behind the counter. read more

I love their chicken fried steak, chicken & waffles, Chile Verde burritos, Chile verde, biscuits and gravy, meatloaf; also their albondigas soup is amazing, their bacon avocado cheeseburger, onion rings....everything is amazing. Super clean since covid, friendly service and GREAT prices. Be aware, though that their portions are humongous so share a dish or have a left over meal the next day! read more

This place is proof that lools can be deceiving. When I walked in and saw that you order for yourself, I was very skeptical. I got the chicken fried steak breakfast, she got the pancakes. The chicken fried steak was crispy and I didnt need a knife to cut it. Scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked and fluffy. I ordered the homemade potatoes well done and they came out amazing: crispy on the outside and soft and hot inside. Even the English muffin was toasted to perfect crunchiness, with dark brown edges and slathered in butter. The pancakes were also cooked perfectly to that nice chocolate color, with crispy edges and as thick as pancakes should be. They tasted fresh and homemade. In a world filled with breakfast chain restaurants that rush through the cooking and bring raw potatoes and half toasted muffins to your table, this unassuming little cafe stands out as a leader of the pack. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because it is a pretty loud place. I definitely would not recommend it for that hangover morning breakfast unless it's to go. read more
