Called to ask what happened, was told delivery is scheduled for May 8th and would call May 7th to "confirm or deny" delivery. No phone call, no delivery. I called and left voice mail asking when to expect delivery. No phone call - they fail to answer voice mail. Visited store May 9th, spoke with "Corey" who said delivery is scheduled for May 13th. I insisted they call on May 12 to confirm. May 12 - no phone call. They take your money, fail to deliver the product and fail to communicate with their customers. Got a new dryer delivered but they refused to supply the new hose that vents the lint trap. They pushed it up against the wall with hot items touching wires. I called and they screened my call and wouldn't answer. My landlord called and they are refusing to do their job. Incredibly unprofessional just by not answering the phone or calling back when I left a message. Will not recommend and will leave this review on all review boards. Our old fridge that we had bought at a big box store a few years ago had died on us unexpectedly and Terry's really came through for us. We were in a pinch and needed a fridge asap, Tom helped us by explaining they did have a floor model in stock that could be delivered next day and also offered a loaner mini fridge if needed in the mean time. Delivery of the fridge arrived at the end of the next day, communication with the delivery was good as they did let us know our delivery would be closer to the end of our delivery window and when they arrived they took our old broken fridge and put in the new one. Although this business came highly recommended that was not my experience. The metal tubing delivering water to the ice maker was leaking behind the new fridge when it was installed. The delivery man knew it was leaking because I pointed it out and he left anyway. When an appliance repairman came to fix it the next day he said it was hooked up wrong and some parts weren't even connected. Gave the place another try by ordering a washing machine a few months later. Ordered 12/26. Supposed to be delivered 1/5. Waited home all day. Called at end of day. "It came in damaged so we had to return it. We left a voicemail." That was just not true. No VM received. 1/12 supposed to be delivered. Waited until 3pm. Called again. "It's not coming until 1/19. I had a service call this summer. The recommendation to replace the board in my range would have cost almost as much as a new range. They said they would invoice me. I never received the invoice. I received a call at work today telling me my invoice was overdue. I explained I never received it. I looked for it the mail and check my emails every day. I said I never received one. I can not say enough about how wonderful this entire team is! My stove died, a real true fire department had to come death... The next day I went over to Terry's hoping to get a new stove within the month, the big hyannis stores were on a 6+ week time-line. Tom the sales clerk let me tell him what highlights I wanted and the price point I was most comfortable in, then showed me a few options both under and over that mark. He showed me this one floor model I loved and said he could slightly reduce the price and have it delivered the very next day! Colby and Carlos came to deliver the stove a few minutes after 2 (window was 2-4pm) had the old one out and the new one in very quickly! Both happy smiling guys that didn't mind explaining all the stuff... by my father's insistence I had them put a 4 pronged thing on... it didn't go well when the electrician came over and said it would be a BIG, EXPENSIVE project to switch the plug over from 3. So I went back to the store explained the problem to Tom and he was able to get the same crew back to switch the plug for me the next day, when again they were hear on the early side of the window! Both happy and smiling, chatting about new streaming shows and showing me a few buttons and making sure the stove was level so my baking would come out beautifully. I always try to shop local whenever I can. I have shopped at Terry's for the past couple of projects (kitchen, laundry, etc) and this last experience has been the worst one by far! I ordered my appliances for a new kitchen remodel in November of 2023. Little did I know that despite ordering AND paying for these appliances, when it came time to deliver, they were not available when we were ready for installation last month. The fridge, dishwasher and microwave were delivered but not installed. The range was no where to be had. The beverage fridge was delivered to their store, but was deemed defective. Terry's did offer an upgrade, but quickly rescinded their offer when I cancelled the range order as I was able to find the exact model at a store in Worcester who could deliver it in a week. Who does business like this?! The owner hides behind his sales people and takes no accountability for poor customer service. We purchased a dryer recently, we waited a week for which ok, but when they delivered it the dryer was severely damaged. They offered $75.00 off the sale price but it wasn't worth it. They said they could get a new dryer next Tuesday as long as we pick it up! otherwise it would be another week and a 1/2 before we would get delivery. We try and buy local whenever we can. We purchased a range hood from Terry's Appliance in Harwich paying more than we would have had we bought online. Unfortunately Terry's sold us a defective product and once had our money they refused to offer any support to replace or refund. They have lost our business as will never buy from them again. The people working here are nice and polite and do their best to get the buyer needed appliances as quickly as possible. There is a nationwide delay on delivering many appliances, which is beyond their control. Eventually, we got all of ours at the agreed price. My one reservation, preventing me from giving them a five star rating is their apparent lack of familiarity with some of their appliances. This was particularly evident with both our induction slide in stove, and our dishwasher. For the stove, we had our counter people cut the depth for a standard slide in. It turned out, that this stove requires an additional depth of cut of about 1 1/2". So when the stove was delivered it didn't fit and they had to take it back until we could get the counter people back to re-cut the counter at an additional cost to us of $300.00. In addition, the induction stove is a plug in.... Not hard wired as our previous stove. I did the electrical for a plug in, but they neglected to advise me that the outlet had to be in a very specific location, so when they took the stove back, I had to re-wire a second time. Fortunately, I was able to do the electric work myself, otherwise, it would have cost me even more money to have an electrician return to complete the work. Once all of that was done, the stove was perfect. You might ask, well why didn't I look at the installation guide well in advance. The answer is, I didn't get guide until the stove was delivered. This is the type of information, I expect an appliance dealer to know and tell me in advance. I had asked, and was not told any of this. The same issue came up with the dishwasher, but having had the prior negative experience with the stove, I made several calls directly to the manufacturer so I could be prepared for the dishwasher delivery. So the short summary is: nice people, fair price, good appliances, but limited knowledge of their product specifications. Beware prior to delivery. read more

They sent a plumber to install it, and apparently they never paid him. The poor plumber has been calling me asking me to pay him. I did not contract anything with this plumber. Terry's is the place to go. They're amazing. It's a fact, appliance sales is a commodity business. You can get the same refrigerator from anyone so what differentiates one place from another is price and service. Terry's had a great price and the delivery service was amazing. We spoke to Zack the sales guy, picked out what we wanted, they didn't have it in stock so he said he'd order it. That was it. A handshake. No money down. No fancy-dan contracts. A week or so later they called us and arranged the delivery. I paid with a credit card over the phone. The delivery guys (Carlos and Coby) showed up when scheduled and we were surprised to find out they weren't "subcontractors" but rather Terry's employees. They moved our old fridge to the basement (what a job... they had to take off handles, remove the basement doors, etc.... but only smiles in response to our requests). They brought the new refrigerator in, didn't so much as bump a wall or piece of furniture. They set the unit up, connected the water, tested it, and explained how the features all worked. In short, we're in love with Terry's and will buy all our future appliances from them. Ask for Zach... and get Carlos and Coby to deliver what you purchase. Good stuff! read more

I was excited to shop local with Terry's when I was ready to replace my dishwasher. I spoke with a kind gentleman over the phone the day before going in who mentioned delivery, takeaway and install was complimentary. Upon arriving to Terry's I was aligned with a women with black hair and glasses. When I mentioned the phone call from the day before, she explained installation wasn't free. I kindly asked if there was any possibility for free installation. I noticed her attitude went sour and she lacked subtlety when rolling her eyes. She made 2 phone calls in front of me to try to get to the bottom of who I spoke with over the phone. She told me no one would own up to it and there was nothing she could do, which I was fine with until she started laughing at me to her colleague. I first want to start with how much I liked you and decided to do business with you personally. I felt I could trust you in a world where there is so much distrust. On your business card it states, and I quote, "Professional,knowledgeable staff to Help you Through The Purchasing and Installation OF YOUR NEW APPLIANCES." The caps are there just like I typed. I trusted your knowledge and professionalism. The fact that you had the same refrigerator that we picked out was a plus for us. The morning of our delivery I told my husband, as soon as I have the money I'll replace our microwave and dishwasher. Eventually I'll pick out a stove too. I was excited to work with you again. We are local, hard working people and I do believe in buying local. Unfortunately the delivery team that came to our home struggled to get the fridge inside. The bang my friend and I heard drew our attention to the fridge, which sad to say they were still trying to get it inside and probably wouldn't have told me about the scratch and big dent. That is when the calls to your store started. As I was not on the phone myself I am going with what my husband tells me. The negotiation of a mere $75 dollars to what I still feel was a mere $150.00. I personally would like to know what this refrigerator would sell for on your floor as damaged. Fortunately for us it is behind a cabinet wall. Also, one of your delivery men told my husband it came scratched and dented ( I do not believe this to be true, why on earth would they still deliver it and not say anything. But the bang we heard I'm sure did the damage!). I know my husband told you about the mess left behind. We literally are still pealing plastic wrap off of the fridge. My coffee table was left pushed out of place. We had styrofoam on our lawn. Is this the professionalisms your standards are. I would like to think not. But beyond on that I am most disappointed in your treatment of my husband. And our fight to try to get not only what was agreed on but you conversation with him. Sadly we will not return to you store and my friend that was here that is in the market for new appliances will not be shopping with you. I doubt you are even still reading my email. I would like to tell you of my Incredibly wonderful experience with Terry's T.V. and Appliance. First of all, I had to buy a new Refrigerator 8 months after buying a new home. Adam was an excellent salesman.....and very knowledgeable. (Funny too!) Carlos and his helper Colby delivered the refrigerator. They were very knowledgeable and professional. Explained what needed to be done, and off they went. Unfortunately, the freezer froze up a week or two later, and the temp of the refrigerator went up along with it.... I called April, who is the service coordinator, and she was wonderful!! April was courteous and also very professional. She got someone to come to my house that day. To my surprise, Shawn, the technician came that day. He couldn't have been any kinder, compassionate, and knew his job inside and out. He "torched" off the ice build up in the freezer, explained what happened, told me to cross our fingers, and hopefully it wasn't the circuit board in the back. He couldn't have been more pleasant. Unfortunately, 5 days later, Shawn was back again, and said it was the circuit board. He once again, "torched" the back, so I would get a few more days out of it. He had called who ever he needed too......I'm sure the manufacturer of the refrigerator, and was on the phone with them for an hour and 1/2. He told me he would have a loaner for me the next day. Nigel and Cam came and dropped off the loaner and hooked it up for me. They were awesome too. Very helpful and kind. Although things haven't worked out the way I thought, when I thought of buying a new Appliance......People need to realize it's not the people from the store you purchased that Appliance/Appliances.......it's the MANUFACTURER of the Appliance. I personally, would not want to deal with anyone else OTHER than the Incredible Staff from Terry's Appliance!!! Give them a break..........unfortunately, it's happening everywhere.....all the time!!
