I recently brought my Tesla Model Y in for service, and I was shocked by how my personal property was treated. Upon returning to my vehicle, I found my belongings thrown on the floor. My papers, which had been neatly on the floorboard, were scattered, and my American flag hat was crumpled and folded in a disrespectful manner. It would have taken mere seconds for the technician to move my items to the back seat or trunk as a basic courtesy. Instead, they were left in a careless (or possibly intentional) pile. This is not how you treat a customer's possessions -- especially patriotic items that hold personal meaning. This experience fell far short of that standard and left a very bad impression. I'll start by saying I had a great experience with my service advisor Steaven. I came in with a few different concerns, wind noise from the passenger side windows, my steering wheel in/out telescoping not working properly, condensation in the left tail light, and a horn issue. On top of that, I was also getting four new tires and an alignment done. A lot going on, but he handled everything smoothly from the beginning. He kept communication clear and consistent the entire time, explained what was actually happening with each issue, and didn't just brush things off. The tech team adjusted the door glass and seals to fix the wind noise, recalibrated the steering column so the wheel moves in and out properly again, and replaced the left tail light assembly. Everything that needed attention was taken care of, and the car feels solid again at highway speeds with way less noise. I appreciate that he walked me through the process and made sure I understood what was being done instead of leaving me guessing. I dropped off my Tesla at the Burbank service center for an AC check, and they didn't have a single loaner car available. Their solution? Either Uber back or come back another time. Another time--so I'm just supposed to keep driving around without AC in this 100 degree weather? I'm paying around $1,000 a month for this car, and there's no basic customer support like a loaner or even a reasonable alternative. In my experience, this is the worst service center I've ever been to. Both managers have no idea how to deal with customers and were extremely rude. One of the managers couldn't even clearly explain what the issue was or how it was supposedly fixed after the repair. She simply said, "We've done everything we can, and you're still under warranty anyway." It was one of the most ridiculous responses I've ever received from any professional. That response was beyond unprofessional -- it honestly left me speechless. So I just left. Even after leaving the car with them, the problem came back just a few days later -- so now I have to go to a service center all over again. This location is a complete waste of time. YIKES!! They don't have warranty on the service that they do. I had replaced a rear motor on 1/20/2025 and they charged me for an alignment on my rear wheels. Less than 5 months later, 7/4/2025, my rear wheels blew out & showed extreme wear on the inside treads. Tesla Burbank was like, we're still going to charge you for our negligence. Very disappointed. A lot can be improved from this service center. It all starts with the "level" of knowledge and or training being provided by the management team and or its superior leaders. I had a service appointment schedule on 9/30/24. Prior to the appointment, I had sent several messages via-Tesla app to confirm if they have a loaner vehicle. The individual(s) who responded to my inquiry wrote back - "we can not confirm if a loaner will be available". Which is understandable, however I asked if they can call or message me "prior" to my appointment to confirm if a loaner is available at the time of drop off. They simply wrote back - yes, we can go ahead and reach out to you. Well, the day of service came on 9/30/24. I (the client/customer) had to reach out before my appointment to see if they can provide me with a loaner vehicle. There was no response. I ended up looking into the app and noticed "transportation is assigned". When I went into the service center, an employee pulled up my information to assist. I told him I have a loaner assigned to me. He simply stated, "oh don't trust the app" it's not accurate. Question to management: If a consumer of Tesla is not to trust the app, according to a Tesla employee - then where do your consumers go to seek help in scheduling an appointment, looking into their finance docs, unlocking/locking their vehicle, setting up sentry mode, etc. (PLEASE ADVISE) I immediately asked the service employee that I would like to speak to the manager. He quickly mentioned the manager is in a "meeting". I said how do you know? He said, I'm showing his message status is in red "busy" This was not true since the employee right away told me if I would like a complementary Uber service instead. Remember something, educated individuals could tell if someone is lying to them or not. (Just for reference) The employee was messaging the manager. While I was still at the service center, I emailed the manager in front of the employee. 10 minutes later - Associate Service Manager, Oliver Frankcom responded to my email. ***My email also included my phone number*** I can tell Oliver Frankcom did not read my email truly since he asked what number is best for Diana Tran (front of house supervisor) to call me on. In my email I did advise I will be reporting to the Better Business Burea As of today - 9/30/24: Neither Oliver Frankcom or Diana Tran have reached out to me to resolve the issue/complaint. Tesla Service Burbank replaced my 12 Volt battery. Check in process was quick. They replaced the 12 volt battery and I was out of there in 20 minutes. A resulting issue with my driver side window corrected itself over time to my relief. read more

Some of the reviews here are for the car itself and not the actual service department, which isn't really fair if you think of it. So far, I haven't had an unpleasant experience here at all. I've had my model 3 since 2018, and I've taken it here for service three times, the other three were actually mobile repair (they go to your home if the car has a minor fix). All repairs were covered through the car warranty, except this last visit which I had to pay out of pocket. Appointments are made only through the app and they give you decent amount of options for dates. Comparatively speaking, the big name auto dealerships are notorious for making it hard for you to schedule an appointment. And they charge you the premium. As stated, everything I've done to the car was covered under warranty. This last one I had to replace the control arms, which would've been covered if my warranty didn't just expire. Also paid a fair amount and it was done in a fair amount of time as well. No uber credit this time around. Pros of this location is that there's an ikea right next door, so you can grab some lunch or breakfast if you're waiting. Cons here is that it's a pretty small location and there's not much room here at all to park. It's kind of a wonder how they're able to keep up with the volume of vehicles they stash at this location daily. Anyway, love my car! read more

I've been to this location several times, so many issues with my 2018 Mid Range Model 3. My car is now out of warranty for 28 days and had a major issue come up with PCS (Power Conversion System) which cost me $1,987. The PCS is for DC charging at local chargers at Level 2 chargers. I got notification my charge speeds dropped to 16amps instead of 32amps and would take 12 hours to full charge instead of 4ish hours. I've asked to get this waived as I've had so many issues with this car. Very frustrating as I got a fast response that it was declined by management. I've filed a NHTSA complaint as this is an ongoing issue with many customers from Forums online and Youtube. Other Car manufactures cover this part under the Battery Warranty, however, Tesla does not. Some customers at certain Tesla service center got theirs replaced free of charge under the battery warranty from what I read online. I love my car, however, I now do not recommend Tesla or this service center in Burbank. I attempted to avoid this Service Center as their customer service is inferior and received my car with dents in the past (which they covered repairs). Alhambra Service center has been much better IMO. I'm surely posting my experience with this issue on social media and telling Friends and family to NOT purchase a Tesla and to my surprise a lot of people informed people have avoided them. I hope if you notice any issues with charging speeds when at local chargers to make sure you book an Appointment ASAP before your warranty is up or you'll be asked to fork over $1,987. You would think owning an EV would be cheaper in maintenance compared to a Gas Vehicle. I guess not :( read more

Got my Model Y about a month ago, I had an appointment today at this location for my glass roof to be installed correctly since from the assembly line it wasn't installed correctly because I can't install the Tesla Roof Rack due to the glass not centered. This appointment was scheduled more than a week and a half ago. My wife took the day off to take the car and when she got there they said the glass wasn't there. The service rep reschedules the appointment for another day and my wife asks, "will the glass be here then" and the reps response was, " there's no guarantee " What the hell kind of service is that? First off they should've called us to inform us the glass wasn't there yet especially since this appointed was booked a week and a half ago. And now you want to tell us there's no guarantee it will be here next week for our appointment. Poor customer service! I never want to use this service center again! read more

I don't know if I should be giving Tesla Service Burbank 1 or 2 stars (I will definitely be using this Yelp review as my service "feedback"). I recent received my 2022 Model Y Performance model back in March of 2022. This review is strictly for the service and lack of customer service at their Burbank location. First off, I LOVE MY MODEL Y. The car in general is a gem. Now let's get back to the "service" aspect of it. Back in May of 2022, my Model Y had a pretty minor metal clicking noise coming from the front left wheel. If you don't already know, Tesla appointments are usually 3-4 weeks out (yeah, not so good). If you're in need of immediate service, GOOD LUCK. You also can't really get a hold of anyone from the local service department via phone. Call their nationwide 800 number and hopefully the Tesla call center service person can help you (Tesla service recommends you chat with them via your Tesla app, slow response times). Raise enough hell and you'll get a call from their local management. I was able to make an appointment for my wheel clicking noise and brought the Y in for service. No loaners available (as we Tesla owners know), you get a Uber voucher if your car is being service for more than a day. Did I mention no loaners? Got the wheel clicking noise fixed BUT after about a week of driving the clicking noise came back. I left it at that. It did not affect the drivability of the car so I did not make another appointment. Fast forward to 2 months after (July 2022), my Model Y now had 4 issues, the clicking noise, the daylight running light being out (mind you, the car is 4 months old), a tire pressure sensor issue for the right rear tire display notification and a trunk closing noise that sounded awfully irregular. Of course, made an appointment 3-4 weeks out, brought the Y in again on a Thursday, Uber credits given (no loaner) and received the car back the next Wednesday (6 days). Mind you, you're given $100 worth of Uber credits per day. I live in LA and work in Long Beach. Each Uber trip cost almost $50 each way. $100 worth of Uber credits shot. So what happens if I need to go to market? What happens if I need to take a drive somewhere else after work? I am now paying out of pocket for an Uber ride because my Y is still being worked on. I messaged the service center via the Tesla app and the person stated that they do not increase Uber credits. I dropped my Y in with about 140 miles on the charge on Thursday. After the service department "completed" the service, they used contactless pick up and drove my car to the Supercharger location at the Burbank mall. As stated, I dropped off my car on Thursday with about 140 miles, completed service Wednesday and now the car was at 80 miles. Monitoring the Y via my Tesla app, I called the 800 number again and was livid at the service center not charging up the Y fully after service! After picking up my car on a Wednesday, I find out on the Friday while seeing the reflection of my car from a store front that my daylight running light is still out. I called the 800 number, raised hell with the service center operator and received a call back from one of the Burbank service center managers. He was able to get me in on Sunday (I was driving out of town Friday to Sunday) and I dropped off my Y Sunday evening around 730pm after driving in from out of town (7/17/22). The service person stated the technicians would have it completed in 2 hours, no Uber credit, just another inconvenience on the part of Tesla service once again and a lack of customer service again. I Ubered home on my own dime and luckily had my nephew drop me off to pick up my car after 930pm. I paid a nice amount for my Model Y and it's been 4 months since first receiving the car via a contactless delivery. I'm having all these minor issues with the car and Tesla service lacks any kind of compassion or "customer service" to their customers. I understand, Tesla's a pretty new car manufacturer if you're comparing Tesla to the likes of Honda, Toyota, Lexus, MB, BMW, Audis, Volvos, etc. Tesla service and customer service can't compete with other car manufacturers that have been around for 50-100 years! Yes, I understand that Tesla owners are a dime a dozen, there are tons of Teslas in California, let alone in LA. There's a big lack in customer service on Tesla's part and Elon and his senior staff should take note of the big car manufacturers and how they treat every customer with 110% customer service. Tesla also needs to do some work and take note of how their service waiting room compares to the other "high end" car manufacturers. Your Burbank service waiting room has a broken coffee maker, has no drinks or snacks in their waiting rooms, there's one couch and a couple of chairs. I previously owned a Lexus and Longo Lexus's showroom and service department blows Tesla Burbank's service department out of the water, 10x! Seems like there's two of these.. so I'm reposting First off, I've been a Tesla owner since 2014 when I had one of the first Model S's on the east side of LA. Second Model S, with 3 powerwalls, solar panels, Tesla car insurance later, customer service has gotten worse and worse. The waiting area here is nothing like the other dealerships where you buy a $100K+ vehicle.. Of course , on the 134 a rock hits my windshield just right, and there's a divot and the windshield starts cracking. Tesla app asks you to send photos through their app, and I was informed my windshield needed to be changed. Apparently, they only change windshields here on Mondays.. who knew because that's not evident on the app. Since that's not linked on the app, when you make an appt the first available is 2+ months out. Then out of now where a week later or so, they will change your appt on the app without anyone asking if that's convenient. You have to message them on the app to change it again and it takes days for a response.. sometimes a week. So, 4 weeks after the initial damage to the windshield and making the appt to include service because it takes forever to get an appt, and messaging back and forth to see if I could get a loaner as well as 3 separate calls to customer service , the Thursday/Friday before I get a message- we can't guarantee a loaner plus now it might take 24 hours.. what? ok, so I call Tesla again (customer service is in Utah) because you can't talk to the service center like you use to. They say someone will call you and of course, no one does. Unclear how someone can plan their work day.. as if no one else has to work.. Show up to appt.. first get asked by the service rep.. did you know you could have probably gotten the sealant or whatever for this.. what??! I sent the pics to the app and was told I had to replace the windshield! No loaner.. but of course.. so escalate to the manager who's name is DAVID/DANIEL who informed me he has been working with Tesla since 2012.. (Burbank service center opened maybe 2016? 2017?) 1. Blame game- Utah should have never said that a loaner could possibly arranged 2. The auto industry is very difficult now 3. How can we make it better? (but offers no suggestions) 4. DAVID/DANIEL, the manager, is unable to deescalate the situation because all he wants to do is stop talking to you and leave either because he's annoyed, hates life, hates his job, hates people, hates customer service, arrogant, egotistical, otherwise unclear because he's just stares at you blankly asking you to offer up solutions and when you do he says.. we can't do that.. (all I asked was for a loaner not a new car) 5. DAVID/DANIEL, the manager, pretends to politely listen to you vent but gets frustrated himself.. so when I tried to asked how to escalate the problem and who his boss is said.. I don't have a boss.. I'm it here.. there's no one else to talk to... (all said while walking away from me). So, WOW.. I'm a physician and even I have a boss.. my patients. Joined Twitter just to tweet at Elon Musk but will probably get no where either. It's too bad that as a long standing customer and believer of Tesla.. this is the customer service you get .. Hopefully they open another full device center soon but that's been talked about for years and nothing has happened.. I'm not sure how Tesla automotive will survive as the other car companies ramp up .. that's neither here nor there right now.. All I know is DAVID/DANIEL, the manager of the Burbank Service center is the apparently owner of the service center as he has no boss... does Elon know? Manny and Ali were SO INCREDIBLY HELPFUL. They helped me hose down my car seat, gave me a loaner car and installed car seat in said loaner, and even pre loaded the Navi to super charging station to make sure I could get home with more than sufficient charge. These guys def went above and beyond to help a customer (I'm also 32 weeks pregnant so it would have been very challenging to do all this in my own). At no time did I feel rushed at all. I usually go to the Santa Monica location. A bit disorganized and definitely lack of communication. Tesla is good at sending messages before the visit to anticipate any costs or repairs. Initially the quote was for 245$, come to find then they tell me it's 3 hours and each hour is for a diagnostic 245$. Ok then don't give me an estimate before hand, ironically enough when I told him the other two problems resolved. He said ok then it's only 245$. Then I'm told I will have to leave my car overnight? Did you want to maybe relay this before hand? Maybe you want to relay that before hand and not at the moment we drop off the car. What's the point of telling me that the diagnostic will take "1 hour " but you will have to keep it overnight. Then there are no options of a loaner? Would it be helpful to put 2 and 2 together that for a 1 hour diagnostic you need to keep the car overnight, to give your client a heads up. I was told that I can't charge my Model Y while do my text drive. The charging stations are not public chargers. They have no public parking. And that I have to park outside at my own risk. My Model 3 had an odd rattle in the front end. I booked a service appointment with Tesla Burbank on my Tesla App. From the second I arrived I was impressed! Melissa my service writer was amazing. She had the technician (also a woman) go for a quick ride with me so she could hear my concern. I was offered a loaner and I was on my way. Being an avid Tesla owner since 2014 I always wondered why their service department was so lacking in...customer service. It wasn't only about selling the car it's also about keeping the customer happy. Glad to say, there is now a complete 180 here and my experience was amazing. The atmosphere is different and you can tell the service providers are eager to do their work and check in the cars and take care of the issues. Everything! My advice is... There are TESLA's every where you look and they have showrooms all over the place. Even in MALLS! Before you purchase one, look at where their service centers are!!! I live in the San Fernando Valley near the 405 & 5 freeways. We were told by our salesperson that they have a repair shop in Burbank and one on Camarillo! These are the closest to me! BUT, (due to popular demand!) A new ONE (1) is being built in Valencia.). WOW what hero's they are! You should Yelp or Google the service centers and read the "Nightmare 1&2 star reviews. My wife, son & daughter and I went to drive one before we knew all of this! They said we really recommend that you put down a $250 "Non Refundable" deposit to hold one because they are so "HARD TO GET" which is a TOTAL lie! We went home to get the best financing worked out and talked to a few friends (3 of them own these cars). We were educated and found out TESLA STOCK is DROPPING and all models are totally available! Honestly after reading all the reviews I didn't have high hopes of getting my side driver window replaced. It had been broken the day before and the next service date was a week away. I was able to get it serviced the next day! Such excellent service! Super responsive and took great care of my car. They finished the job in less than 30 minutes! Everyone was super helpful there and took the time to explain the whole situation. Luis was great at explaining details of our car that we did not know. He helped with understanding my tires. Don't bring you car here for any body or glass work. They'll damage/scratch your car and try to cover up with shoddy touch up paint without telling you. Very shady practice. They scratched my upper panel paint changing the glass roof. I brought this up to them the day I picked up my vehicle asking for a solution, but after two weeks they still haven't said what they'll do to fix the issue they caused. Not a peep. The service team here were phenomenal, but if you are looking for a tesla (probably too late for you if you are already on this yelp page) STOP AND RECONSIDER. The tesla is low maintenance but when you DO need maintenance, you have to go through the app to schedule service and guess what- it'll be WHWERE and WHEN THEY want you to get service, even if your need is urgent. Forget being able to talk to a humn - they make it impossible! Absolutely ridiculous. I had to use my husband's Tesla - my car was in the shop getting body work done - and the tesla screen was BLACK. non operational. on a wing and a prayer I inserted the charger, and that woke it up. Multiple service notifications popped up, mostly about needing the 12v battery changed, clearly an urgent issue! When I went into the app to schedule something it said "next appt avail in 2 weeks in SANTA MONICA" - we live in the valley. After attempting to talk to a human from tesla 800 general cust service number and calling a service center with no luck, I realized I had to drive there without an appt. I went to the van nuys service center- only to find it closed permanently! So THEN i had to go to Burbank. Here's where my anxiety and upset miraculously eased. I was very nice to the service rep there, realizing it's not the his fault tesla's process is so idiotic, I even apologized for not having an appt, and Anthony, the service rep I worked with, said no problem at all, and...my car was serviced in an hour! I doubt this is normal at any service center, but I could actually go into work and get everything else done that day as originally planned. The place was busy, so I guess the Gods were smiling upon me. But regardless, Anthony was wonderful and turned around what was a very, very crappy customer service experience. read more

Picked up my Wife's new Model X here in 2017. Since then, we've been here to align the Falcon Wing doors under warranty, had a seat replaced under warranty due to premature wear, had a tire repaired, got a Falcon Wing door repaired under warranty for not working, and a trunk aligned/fixed under warranty when it would not auto/soft close automatically. Hmm, now that I have written out all these issues, thank goodness for Section 179 otherwise I don't think I'd be as happy with this purchase. But this service center has always done its best to accommodate my wife with a loaner vehicle and that level of service is very much appreciated. read more

Stay Away!!!! I would recommend not going to this service center if possible. This was quite possibly the worst repair experience I've ever had. Service advisors don't care about your concerns, managers don't return calls, and worst of all they return your car in worst condition than you brought it in with. I originally brought my car in for service because it was leaking water from the headliners, among a couple different things. My service advisor Anne quickly dismissed everything I listed and said it was normal, and they would get me a loaner vehicle within a couple days. I was offered Uber credits for the time being. I accepted. On my way back home, I was told my appointment was canceled by accident and that the ride I was currently in would probably no be covered by the credits. It was annoying, but there wasn't much I can do. The next day goes by and I ask for a follow up. Anne tells me there was nothing wrong in the car, and that they are currently working on fixing the headliners to ensure it doesn't leak again. At this point I get frustrated because I know my cars battery has degraded significantly, and there was a big rattle coming from the passenger side door. I asked to speak to a manager and she assured me they she left him a note because he was on lunch and that he would call me back. I never got that call. I called back and this woman answered (I wish I got her name) and was instantly greeted with a rude demeanor. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she'd leave him a note as well because he was busy. The phone call ended with her questioning my gender based on my name (not sure why it matters). I also still never got that call. So now two days go by. I tried calling Tesla support and was routed to some call center. The person who helped over the phone was super helpful and said that he saw all the notes left for the manager to call back and for some reason never did. He assured me that's not normal behavior and he would escalate to the proper team, which he did. A couple hours and 2 more phone calls later, David the manager calls. What a great guy he his. I asked to have him hear my story of how I've been mistreated by his staff and dismissed by my service advisor but he kept interrupting me. After a a couple minutes I was able to finally have him hear me out, it was like pulling teeth! The phone call ended with him assuring me he would call me back within an hour or two to update me on my car and a loaner vehicle. I STILL HAVENT GOTTEN THAT CALL. He texted me the next morning saying I'm checking on the loaner vehicle for you. That was the last I heard from him. Me being frustrated with the service I was receiving and the blatant disregard for customer service. I went to pick my car up. I did not want it serviced there anymore. To my surprise i was told it was done. I double check the work done. They said they replaced the top glass and resealed it to ensure it doesn't leak again. And they "replaced with new headliners" obviously that isn't the truth. I attached pictures of what I saw when I picked my car up. My service advisor didn't even want to look for herself. I asked to speak with any manager on duty because David wasn't working that day (how was he checking on a loaner for me?). The manager who came out was extremely helpful, I wish I remembered her name. She saw what happened and tried to rectify as much as possible but I didn't want to be helped there anymore. She helped me schedule my service and a different service center. The back window wasn't properly aligned and would make a terrible sound. End of the story my car is being serviced somewhere else and they have only given me superior service. TLDR: They ruined my car and made me angry. read more

Love this place. Nelson was our advisor and he was quick to understand the issue and service our car. The falcon door had an issue that was not replicated BUT he gave us his contact so that we can let him know next time it happened. While our issue was not fixed, I'm happy to know that I can come back when needed. They give Uber credit for leaving car there so it's not bad! read more
