The fact that I called Downtown Ford and they got back to me within 5 minutes says everything. They had a service tech pick up my car in less than an hour, completed the service the same day, sent me a full video of the work performed, and delivered the car back to me. That is how customer service should be done. Take notes. Meanwhile, you guys don't answer your phones for 4-5 days, make customers leave work early to wait at home for a no-show appointment, and only call afterward saying, "Sorry, can we schedule a pickup now?" How about showing up for the appointment that was already scheduled? I keep thinking--if my mother had called for service and had to deal with this, especially as an elderly person, it would be completely unacceptable. No accountability, no attempt to make it right, just another request to reschedule after wasting someone's time. At this point, I wouldn't trust you to service a remote control, let alone my car. I can't seem to get anyone to return my call regarding my recall for 2021 Ford Explorer ST. They sent a technician to my work to confirm part needs replacement back in September of 2025. No follow up since. I've sent multiple emails to Jenny Pineda, no reply. I left a voicemail for service manager Manny to call me back on the 2/19/2026, no reply. The sales staff have always been courteous and friendly, especially Brian Evans who helped me with my last purchase in 2020. It was a customized special vehicle, and he collaborated with me from start to finish. The associates in the service department have always been professional and helpful. Eddie was one of my favorites, as was Joe. I recently had an issue with my 2002 Ford Thunderbird. Although I didn't buy the car from them (it was a private sale), I felt confident that the technicians could fix the problem. Danielle (Sam) Davis in the service department was stellar and took great care of me. Turns out I had a bad battery, and she was able to have a technician replace the battery. I talked with Michael over the phone telling him that I lived far away and then I wanted to make sure the drive was worth it if they could work with me on the budget that I wanted out the door. He told me that there is power and the customer being there and that he was going to do his very best to make sure that I got the deal. You are directed to use their text messaging system which routes questions and follow up for status to the assigned team member... sounds like a great system... but here is the catch: they don't respond. Had to drive down to the dealer multiple times to follow up on service for lack of response. Worst service I have ever seen from a dealership in a lifetime! This place is very nice and basically treat you with kid gloves. I was greeted with a smile by Sarah Reinschmi. I had a slow leak on my rear tire, and told me to go into the office to wait till she delivered my car to the mechanic. After a short while she came back and showed me my tire had a big screw in it. It also turned out my tires were cracking and needed replacement (I kind of expected that). She gave me a price for 4 Michelin tubeless tires and told me if I wanted to shop around that Star would match the price. I opted to just get it done there. I waited in the waiting room in a comfortable chair and had access to a very high end coffee machine. While I was enjoying my triple cappuccino, Sarah came out to tell me that I had some Lincoln points that she could use towards my cost. It was a welcome surprise that saved me $213! She went the extra mile to help me and that is well appreciated! They delivered my car freshly washed and shined to show off its new shoes! This customer service can't be beat! Extremely disappointed with Star Ford dealership. This was a clear bait and switch situation. We were given specific numbers before running credit, agreed to the deal, and then once they ran the credit the price suddenly increased. That is misleading and completely unacceptable. You don't change the terms after someone agrees just because their credit was pulled. This feels dishonest and like a tactic to pressure customers once their credit has already been checked. I had an amazing experience purchasing my new Bronco! Michael was awesome - so kind, so personable, so knowledgable, and so patient! He knew every feature the car had and made sure to show me every single one. I felt like I got a personal training of the car's manual without having to read a single page. He was SO on top of communication and worked with us to get a great deal - he literally took our calls while on a boat to make sure we kept the process moving as fast as possible. You can tell he is really passionate about cars and Ford, and made me go from being happy with the car to absolutely ecstatic. The whole staff is so accommodating, I showed up as a walk-in at the end of the day fully expecting to be turned away, but Nick and Michael made me feel so welcome and jumped to help me out. Star Ford's Service Department made me feel valued, when I brought my 21 F150 Raptor in for repairs. 4x4 system wasn't engaging and my rear axle had a leak. Not having a fully functioning truck was leaving me frustrated and giving me anxiety. Thankfully my service advisor Christian was knowledgeable about the 4x4 system and reassured me it wasn't as hard of a fix as I thought. Christian and the techs diagnosed the problems quickly, ordered parts, and within a few days had repaired everything good as new. His communication was top notch and he would reach out with updates regularly. I've been to other dealerships who treat you like a crap because they don't care about you. They commit outright professional negligence, falsify repair orders, and will actively extort you to cover up their mistakes. In September 2024, I brought my 2018 Ford Explorer in under a specific diagnostic mandate to inspect a check engine light and severe drivetrain lag. Technician GRAYR TER-ARUTYUNYAN (726) took the easy corporate warranty payout to swap a melted catalytic converter, completely bypassed mandatory Powertrain Control Module (PCM) system calibrations, skipped the road test, and fraudulently signed off on Repair Order #463374/3 that the vehicle was "operating as designed." The shop foreman explicitly stated at the time that Ford simply did not want to honor the warranty. Because they refused to do their jobs and left a latent digital timing defect active in the computer, that glitching PCM spent the last two years destroying my vehicle's transmission, forcing a catastrophic mechanical breakdown that cost me $6,500 out-of-pocket to repair and over $1,000 in rental car fees. Today (June 30, 2026), I brought the vehicle back with an active, pending P2610 PCM fault code--the exact digital smoking gun their technician left in the vehicle. Brought my car here after a terrible experience with the Ford in Downtown Los Angeles. Martin has been an amazing rep. While I already had a rental reservation, Star offers rental discounts and transportation to your rentals. My ride arrived just as I signed the paperwork. Perfect timing. The communication and transaction were super smooth and the cost was beyond reasonable for a dealership as I had several issues resolved. The only issue I had was that once your car is there you are not able to call and speak to a live person in the service department over the phone. Star uses an AI bot that purposely keeps you at bay. The system kept saying it would escalate my calls but still I received no return call or update on my vehicle. I even called the operator but they would just transfer me back to the AI bot. Not a good look for a location that has such exceptional employees. While Martin was off for several days unexpectedly, not one person picked up his tickets to update his clients on their vehicles. I believe it was Nicole that ended up jumping in and working everything out for me before the weekend came and went. I will definitely be bringing my car back to Martin. I just hope they have worked a different system out by then. read more

The worst experience ever in service. Danielle Sam Davis was not helpful at all and going off of whatever she thought but not actual correct information. I went to take my Mustang Mach E to get its 1 year service check and she lied and told me that someone would bring my car out to me because the service had finished and no one brought it out. The other service tech asked me and I told him what she said and he says "yea she never knows what she's talking about" and he was absolutely right. She also told me k had to pay 15 dollars for a Lyft, but the prior service tech Nelson had told me it would be covered and she's like "Let me go ask my manager." Then she come back and says "you got lucky this time manny agreed and said yes to waive the fee." Do you know how annoying that is to hear when someone else told you would be pay. I told her "well I was told I wasn't going to pay anything" and she says "well that's over already so we don't need to talk about it." I had to mention this lady first but the first device tech who I spoke to was Nelson who was helpful but unfortunately went on his break when I came back to pick up my car. Also they had I asked if I could have my car charged and it was not charged at all. Just plugged in but didn't charge at all. They employees here genuinely do not care about anything. Fast forward to Saturday morning, I get to the place and when I tell the lady why I'm here, she tells me they don't do inspections during the weekend and to come back during the week. Not once on their website was I told vehicle inspections weren't done during the weekend. She told me I should've called instead. SERIOUS WARNING: Failed Repairs, Inflated Billing & Lack of Accountability I am issuing a formal public warning regarding the severe lack of transparency and unacceptable repair quality in Star Ford's service department. I initially brought my vehicle in and paid for a crankshaft repair. Shortly after, the engine failed completely. When I brought the car back, I was hit with a massive new bill for a whole new transmission--which included a $4,250 handwritten labor charge added over the printed total. When I raised concerns about paying thousands more after a failed initial repair, Star Ford ceased meaningful communication and proceeded with a mechanic's lien sale to take and sell my 2012 Ford Explorer. Furthermore, when this matter was escalated to regulatory oversight, the dealership claimed they "lost" or no longer retained the essential repair and authorization records. Star Ford has demonstrated a complete disregard for fair customer relations, questionable accounting methods, and zero accountability when their repairs fail. It's places like this that are why people HATE dealerships! I attempted to buy a used 2022 Mustang Mach-E GT (VIN ending 2119) from Star Ford Glendale at the $27,539 "Star Price" shown on their website. Since I'm ~400 miles away, I requested an out-the-door quote and to hold it with a deposit while I arranged a cashier's check and travel. After some back-and-forth providing info, Jasmine texted me saying "since we have your credit app/deposit we will hold the vehicle unless you would like to not proceed" Their first OTD quote included a $395 VIN etching add-on and was also $250 higher than the advertised website price (I provided a screenshot of). After I referenced SB478 banning required add-ons, they removed the etching but still kept pricing $250 above the website using the excuse that other people had expressed interest and it was a bug that was no longer live (I was able to get it to provide the same price again after they claimed this) After numerous texts/calls, I was told a manager approved honoring the website price and that a final revised OTD reflecting the advertised pricing would be sent. I was then resent the previous quote that was $250 high which I pointed out, and the response was "Wow you're right let me get that fixed" While waiting, I emailed the deposit/CC information since we had verbally agreed on terms. After over an hour of waiting for the corrected OTD price sheet and contacting multiple employees, I received a call from Ryan. Despite no warning and it being less than three hours after being told the car was being held for me, Ryan said they were not holding it and were selling it to an in-person buyer that evening. I asked to speak with the manager and was told the manager was out and neither myself or Ryan could reach him. I was later informed Ryan is actually the owner of the dealership and that he was the one that made the decision to rescind the deal after personally approving it. It's absurd it took hours of back and forth between six phone calls and dozens of text messages just to get a dealer to sell a vehicle at their own asking price. Seller Beware! Buyer Beware! Stock: P13168 I've had a new Ford since 2017, 3 in a row and almost made the mistake of getting a 4th from these guys. I was going to trade in a 2022 Bronco Sport, they started by grinding me on the equity of the trade so I decided to walk away from the brand altogether and sell them the car. The vehicle has 5,000 miles on it and it was serviced at their dealership. They recommended a cabin filter on 1/31/25, so they're well aware of the condition of the vehicle. I was quoted 21k and I agreed, after making an appointment and having Caitlynn miss the appointment on a day that I took time off from work. I rescheduled and we on a later date. There's was another shady manager that showed up to drive the car. They came back and undercut the deal to the lease payoff amount. The vehicle was hit while parked on the street by another dealership employee and I have a picture of the damage attached. The driver door was replaced. The shady manager came back saying it was in an accident and a smokers car so they would only pay the payoff amount. Also, that the vehicle value was diminished because of those factors. I agreed just to be rid of the car but I was hoodwinked, swindled, tricked or whatever you want to call it. Also telling me that they wouldn't be able to sell it for more than 22K. I see the car listed today and full KBB value. There are 2 things that come out of this experience. I will never buy a car from Star anything and I'm done with Ford. This is how a 9 year patron of the brand gets treated. If a fair trade equity dollar amount was reached, I would have gotten another Ford. I wasn't expecting full value, that would be ridiculous but a fair dollar amount would have sealed the deal on another Ford, we were 1k apart for the salesman if he's interested in knowing the dollar amount that cost him the sale. I'm also in the dealership world, brand loyalty keeps the doors open for any manufacturer. I will also be contacting Ford, they need to know how their brand ambassadors treat guests with brand loyalty and potential customers. She told me to wait in my vehicle that was 6th in line for a check in. She was very dismissive towards me. Since I've been coming here for years now, I know I don't need to wait since fleet is a different department, since I reminded her its a fleet vehicle, she said wait in line. She was so rude and is not the person you want to put as the first face you see when you pull up for service. I've never had an issue with this location from all the years coming here. But get this lady out of front face customer service position. She's horrible. After waiting over 20mins in a line that hasn't moved once, I got out of my vehicle and walked up to the front of the line and saw Martin Magallanes (fleet manager). We greeted eachother and he automatically came to check me in. So Sarah was wrong, I didnt have to wait in line, I just needed to go into the fleet office, which she could've guided me over to but didn't. 2 days ago I negotiated a price for a 2025 Mach E with a salesman named Harry. He told me what the features were which included an all wheel drive. I bought it that day and two days later I found the paper which is usually taped to the window, folded up in the back seat. it said it was only a rear wheel drive. He was very clear to me it was an all wheel drive which is $4,000-$4500 more. So I am now paying an extra $100-$125/month more for 39 months for something it doesn't even have. BTW it is a federal offense for the dealership to take the car sales sticker off the car just for that reason. In fact, the new owner has to do that. You know my experience was REALLY bad when I have to come onto this app and actually write a long review. Main Points: - if you're assigned Seta Alexanian, i HIGHLY HIGHLYYY recommend you ask for a different adviser unless you want unclear, unprofessional, and rude service - they unfortunately WILL try to scam you out of more money My experience was horrible from start to finish. I called to see what the process would be to get a diagnosis for my car. I had two issues I needed to get looked at. The rep said that the cost to have both issues diagnosed would be $280 total. We then brought the car in the same morning. Seta was our adviser - we explained the same issues the car was having. She said that the two issues were two different departments and it would be $295 for EACH diagnosis. I explained that we were told it would be $280 total for both and we gave the name of the rep who advised us. She said "I've been here for 10 years and I've never heard of that." I asked what we can do about this because I was told $280 for both and she responded, with attitude, that "it sounds like it's just a training opportunity". After some back and forth, she finally called over someone else. That person said that the diagnosis is usually $295 and that they can do both diagnosis for that price. I let it go and hoped the rest of my experience would be better. It wasn't. It only got worse. I got a text from Seta with my diagnosis for both issues (attached). She gave me the initial repair prices ($405.75 to fix my car horn). I told her I had the parts for one of the issues that needed resolving in the trunk of my car, she proceeded to tell me that the cost would now be $590 - almost $300 MORE. what?? that didn't even make sense. I asked for clarification on why the price changed and, per the texts, she couldn't give me any explanation other than that it was a "keying error" - this coming from the same person who said she had been there for 10 years...keying error seems like a pretty amateur mistake don't you think? she also passively said "it would have been helpful to know from the start that you had the parts in your trunk" - which again, doesn't make sense because how would that information have changed anything? It wasn't even confirmed that the issue was that the horns needed replacement. I asked for someone else to give me a call. A day went by and I didn't hear from anyone. The next morning I called repeatedly with no answer. Finally, one of the head technicians got back to me. He told me again that it was a keying error, and after some back and forth, he agreed that they'll do it for the original price they quoted me. At this point, I didn't even want to give them any more money that I had to, so I decided to go with only replacing the two fuses and doing the update to the body module - which through text and during that same call with him, I was quoted me $621.66. He proceeds to tell me that if I only do the fuses/update, the cost would now be around $980. WHAT?? it's actually laughable. Trying to upcharge almost 300 dollars again for NO reason. I continuously asked him to explain the reasoning, to which he didn't have a clear answer other than that the same repair would now take an additional hour, which didn't make any sense at all. After I continuously pushed back, he said he would ask someone if they could do the $621.66 price they had initially quoted me. He called me back and said that they would do the initial quote. Made no sense to me why there was so much ambiguity and discrepancy and changes with pricing. On top of that, having to deal with Seta was so horribly draining. As you may soon learn, at "Star" Ford Lincoln, your time is lost to some black hole of communication and accountability. Where it started: reasonable expectations and good vibes. My wife and I wanted to love this dealership. Beautiful backdrop, easy to access location where I hoped my service experience would be reasonably important to the team. Our car had been in for a recall which took longer than expected. Updates were sparse and delays were communicated only after following up multiple times begging for an update. It's okay. I'm patient and know estimates are estimates, but that's not where this experience dropped far below reasonable expectations. What went wrong: The unidentified tornado Upon picking up the vehicle, I was told that one of the issues I identified in the initial conversation - significant wind noise coming inside the vehicle - was confirmed by a tech, but the "service" advisor said there was nothing they could do. I told them it's pretty annoying that there's a defect that I'm told isn't their problem. Crickets. New car, full warranty, even the extra ($2k add on) Ford coverage. I was obviously annoyed as I waited for the car and yet no service-orientated staff cared to be a leader and at least hear me out. Plot twist: Wait, so there IS a fix for the tornado in a new 65 thousand dollar car? So, I get home and do a quick Google + Reddit search only to find that the exact issue and model has a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) out from Ford. For context, TSBs are basically put out by manufacturers so a dealer knows how to fix a reoccurring problem and can fix it for a customer under warranty if they explicitly have that issue. So it's different than a recall in that it isn't proactively communicated and fixed (rather it is reactive), but similar in that the manufacturer, Ford, is relying on the good faith of its dealer network to do the right thing with its customers. The dealer here somehow couldn't do even the most basic of research. No reasonable person wants to escalate to Yelp - except to help others with an honest account so they can better expect and prepare for poor service. Instead of accountability, I was told there was nothing they could do, to which I sent her the TSB, which she then skirted around and said I had to bring the vehicle back in so they could verify that the issue again. This place is incredible. Should've read reviews before I came. Made an appt the night before with Justin to come next morning for 10am when they open because I told him I have to go to work but have just enough time to come and look at it for 30 minutes. Next morning I drove 40 miles + past Los Angeles, called to let them know I was on my way from Orange County and to have the car ready for me since I had to drive 50 miles back to work after. Just wanted to look at it in person and test drive before purchasing. It's the exact color I'm looking for in the my price range. The person answered the phone told me Justin was not there yet but is on his way. I get there, but Justin is not there. I had to ask for someone else to help me, and the gentleman went across the street to look for the car. I'm counting every minute that passes by. Asked to talk to the manager about my appt with Justin and he gets rude with me. 20 minutes later the other gentleman comes back from the lot across the street to tell me they found the car but it won't start. It was a complete waste of my time and gas. Total frustration. Don't buy here. read more

My boyfriend brought his Mustang here on a Monday and tried to call and check in for 7 full days. This dealership seems to have an aversion to over the phone communication and will instead ignore all your calls and divert you to their unhelpful texting system. They continually told him the tech was still looking at it and at one point couldn't get the error to repeat itself. Then 8 days after dropping off the car, they send a nice text (again no phone call) kindly asking for approval to charge $10,000 to replace the transmission. Disappointed after the sale. the vehicle is great, but that's Ford, not the dealer. Sales person was great as well. but once we had a deal and get sent of to finance/paperwork things slowed down significantly. Annoying but not the worst part. as part of our deal, Star Ford would pay off my trade and then send me a check for the remaining equity, about $3,700. They paid off my loan in a week, my bank released the title two days later. After a month without receiving my check I called and was told the check would be in the mail on Monday (2 days). seemed reasonable. two weeks later, still no check, called again.... this person was less helpful, not sure who to talk to about it, but promised to call back the following day with an answer. no call. So 50 days after the sale, I still haven't been paid the money they owe me. I visited the dealer in person. I was told that because it was a Sunday there is nothing they could do for me. The manager agreed that they owed me the money, and he saw it was in their system. It he refused to give me the check, or call another manager that could authorize it. So after being stonewall, I left with no check and a bad feeling about how Star Ford does business. Calls to the GM have gone unanswered/returned. At this point, still no resolution. Either they are purposely keeping money from customers, or more likely, they are just incompetent... either way, I'll take my business elsewhere next time. Why do we need Dealers?? I brought my car in for a routine service recall and opted to have an oil change performed simultaneously. Upon receiving my vehicle, I discovered that the drivers side hood strut was damaged, and after returning home, I noticed oil leaking from the oil plug, which had not been properly tightened. I have included photographs for reference. The oil leak resulted in a puddle forming on my skid plates and driveway. For two days, I attempted to contact my service advisor, Eddie Gonzalez, via text and left multiple messages, but received no response. Eventually, when I did hear back, from Kristin Jones who had no idea what was going on, I requested a refund for the service as I was uncertain about the extent of the oil leak. My request was denied, and I was asked to return to the dealership without any acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused. Given the negligence, damage, and poor service I had already experienced, I felt uncomfortable bringing my car back to them. As a Ford owner with two vehicles, I had hoped for better service from my nearest dealership, Star Ford Lincoln. What should have been a straightforward service recall and oil change turned into a frustrating ordeal and a significant financial burden. The service was subpar. Numerous other reviews on platforms like Google, Yelp, and the Better Business Bureau reflect similar experiences, so I advise others to steer clear of this establishment. What began as a simple $100 service escalated to a $130 replacement for the hood strut, a $100 oil change, an additional $100 oil change, hours spent cleaning up oil from my driveway and skid plates, and countless hours trying to resolve the issues. I have yet to receive resolution, refund or reimbursement for any of these expenses. I recommend reading the reviews before considering a visit to Star Ford. read more
