7-Time Buyer--But NEVER Again with Texan GMC Seven years ago, I left a 5-star review for Texan GMC. Jeff was a great salesman--we bought TWO vehicles in one day because of how well he treated us. Fast-forward to today: Jeff's now in finance and still doing his best, but management? That's a whole different story. I've purchased SEVEN vehicles from Texan GMC. My latest was a 2025 GMC 2500 Denali--not even 3,000 miles on it and it's already leaking oil. It's under warranty, no question, but they told me it would take a WEEK just to diagnose, and then I'd have to wait again to maybe get on a loaner vehicle list. I asked for a loaner up front--excuse after excuse. Zero urgency. Zero accountability. Zero care for a loyal customer who's spent hundreds of thousands with them. I was ready to go for vehicle #8--a Yukon Denali for the family. But after this experience, I'll take my business elsewhere. Enter Parkway Chevrolet. I've only bought one truck there--a 2023 Silverado High Country--but when I had an oil consumption issue (same manufacturer, different dealership), I was blown away. Ask for Ryan. He's one of the top salesmen at Parkway and truly goes above and beyond. No loaners available? He went straight to his manager and got me into a used vehicle the same day while mine was being diagnosed. THAT'S customer service. So now? That Yukon Denali I was eyeing? Not happening. We're going with a Tahoe High Country from Parkway instead. Texan GMC lost a 7-time buyer. Parkway Chevrolet earned a lifetime customer. If you're going to drop $100K on a truck, buy it from someone who respects you. Skip Texan GMC. Ask for Ryan at Parkway Chevrolet--he'll get you right.

Can't say enough great things about my experience at Texan GMC/Buick. I had recently had my car stolen so I needed something ASAP without sacrificing getting something I loved. Big shout out to Lui and Clay for not only making it happen but for getting me exactly what I wanted. These guys made the process as easy and chill as car buying can be.10/10 recommend.

The was my first experience at Texan GMC. From the first phone call with Stephanie, my sales consultant, the experience was great. I was at the dealership start to finish about 2 1/2 hours and I was driving my new truck. Stephanie and the finance team was fully transparent from start to finish. By far, the most efficient and easy vehicle purchase I have experienced. Top notch dealership.

I went in on Tuesday afternoon and the salesperson went with me on a test drive, didn't pressure me, which was nice but also didn't respond to my later calls for information. I was disappointed but went back in on Thursday because I wanted the Tahoe. Isreal and his team gave me another test drive, told me new things I didn't know about the Tahoe and made me feel like a valued client. Lucas was my finance manager and was straight forward in what he could provide for my needs. I bought the Tahoe and warranty package. Update: I called Isreal last week to let him know one of the license plate screws in the back had fallen out and the plate fell and put some light scratches on the plate (it was not gouged). I went in today and they buffed out the scratches and Isreal put new screws in. I had some concerns about the sunroof rattling and he let me know that my Tahoe was still under warranty with Chevy which was reassuring. Customer service after the initial purchase is impressive in my book! I upgraded my review to a 5 star.

Well after complaining I finally got the title & registration! I'm still waiting on my plates since Oregon has to make the Disabled Veteran plates but I got a temporary Oregon plate to last me until my real plates come in! Not only that but the dealer admitted their fault with not being transparent & not keeping me updated or my lien holder updated on the title & registration. They personally walked the temporary tags & registration to my mothers house & gave me $200 worth in gift certificates which covered the cost of them using the 3rd party to do my titling & registration in Oregon. It's sad it had to get to the point where I had to report them to the DMV & BBB plus put them on blast with reviews for the general manager to get involved (while still being a bit rude to me) & make their titling department do their job but I'm happy it's pretty much resolved & I'm now able to drive up to Oregon! I'd suggest if you buy from them that you title it in Texas. They are not great with out of state titling & registration.

THEY SCAM PEOPLE!!…read more We took my car in here to get a tune up. They called to tell us that my spark plugs are seized and I had coolant leak going into the engine head which can cause corrosion inside and messed up my engine head. Keep in mind my car was up-kept in all maintenance and my check engine light just came on, so this was odd. I've had no signs my car was not running properly They said I need a whole new engine and quoted us $14,000! Then offer to buy my car for only $5000 and try to get us to buy a new car from them. I try to look at all options, I was pretty upset and confused on how this happened. They basically told me my car can blow up anytime. While we looked into buying another car, they dare ask me " do you need to sell that car?" Like you want me to buy a new car and keep making payments on the one you just told me would blow up on me and my kids anytime? I just had a newborn that's not even a week old. Which they knew and still tried to scam us. I could not afford to pay for a new engine or really buy a new car. Finally, we decide to take my car to another maintenance shop and tell them what was told to us by ford. The owner of this shop was very confused and said that doesn't make any sense. He takes a look at my car and was able to switch out my spark plugs, coil packs, and topped off my coolent. ALL IN A DAY! Nothing was wrong with my engine like Ford told us. They were trying to scam us out of $14000! Or possibly even more if they would gotten the sale on us for new car plus causing me to be $10000 upside down on my payments because they wanted to buy my car for only $5000. (Which apparently would blow up anytime") probably to turn around and sell it for so much more. To do this to people is absolutely insane and disgusting. You saw a person who just had a baby and tried to exploit them. Do not go here for anything.

I live in California, but I didn't want to fly into Texas to buy the car and drive it back. I was very nervous & apprehensive about buying a car sight unseen. My experience could've started off better. I was interested in this car and several other cars at various lots across the country. They dropped the price of this car from 23k to 21k, and that was the push I needed to start the negotiations. Once I was alerted about the price drop, I emailed the sales rep who had been contacting me to ask what the total price out the door was. I knew I wouldn't have to pay tax until I brought the car to California. The sales rep emailed me back with a quote of 23k+. I was confused because the price had literally just been dropped to 21k the day before. I wrote an e-mail back asking for an itemized price sheet and my email went unanswered. At this point, I was about to lose interest in this car and start pursuing other deals. I decided to place one more call to the dealership to get some clarity on the price. I spoke to Edwin, he listened to my concern, and the following day I was contacted by a salesman, Brandon R. It was annoying being bounced around, but in hindsight, I'm happy they assigned Brandon as my salesman. I don't need to be "sold" on a car. I know what I want, and I was willing to pay the asking price after the price drop. What I needed was an honest salesman who would not bullshit me about the condition of the car just to make a sale. I understand that a used car will not be perfect, but I do not want to give them 21k cash and then find out later they were hiding defects from me. Brandon was very reassuring, and he sent me pictures of tiny defects like a scratch on the leather seats, minor instance of curb rash on one of the wheels, etc. I REALLY appreciated him doing this. This proved to me that he was honest. I have hired over 500 salesmen in my life, what the bad salesmen fail to understand is that honesty is the best policy. If the buyer feels like they can trust you, they are more willing to accept minor defects on a car or whatever it is you're selling. Throughout the process, Brandon was there when I needed something answered. It rarely took him more than an hour to get back to me, even on his off days. I had his cell # and was able to text/call him anytime I had a question. He did not write me off, he genuinely wanted to make the sale, and do it the right way, so I had no reservations buying from him. When my car came in, it was in really good condition, and I was happy with my buying decision. I am going to send Brandon a thank you gift for doing such a great job. I cannot comment on anything regarding this business except for the salesman I worked with, but there is no doubt in my mind that he deserves 5 stars for his work on this sale.

I recently brought my vehicle in for service and presented a service coupon that had been mailed to me by the dealership in April. Since I don't always need maintenance the moment coupons are sent, I've never had an issue in the past using one a few months later. When I arrived, I noticed the dealership had changed ownership/name since the coupon was issued. My service advisor, Juan, told me he could not accept the coupon because if he did, the discount would come out of his paycheck. He spoke with his manager, Keisha, who confirmed that this was their policy. Whether this is the dealership's policy or not, I found it very disappointing. Customers should not be placed in the middle of a situation where employees feel they have to choose between helping the customer and protecting their own pay. That reflects poorly on management. Unfortunately, this is not my first disappointing experience with the service department. I have continued to use this dealership over the years simply because it is conveniently located near my job. However, I have consistently experienced poor customer service from the service advisors, and there seems to be a constant turnover of service technicians. That leads me to believe the issue is more about management than the employees themselves. For those reasons, I can no longer recommend this dealership's service department. I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere for future maintenance and repairs. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the changes necessary to improve the customer experience.
