Left our hotel downtown to look for someplace for breakfast, saw a city employee and he recommended the Texan Sizzle! I poked my head in and saw the Rolling Stone's taco tongue, that's where I was going to eat!! Ended up in San Antonio for a few hours when visiting family in Blanco for the holidays and my fiancé and I were starving. The steak in the Cheesteak was so flavorful and moist, the cheese was gooey and delicious and the roll....y'all I'm picky about my cheesesteak rolls having grown up in Philly for a bit and this roll was perfection! Toasted and buttered and the ratio of roll to meat, cheese, peppers was perfect! I took a bite of my fiancés breakfast sandwich...it was insanely good and I'm not really into breakfast sandwiches because I never find one that checks all the boxes for me in flavor, texture, temperature but this one knocked my socks off. I ordered the sizzle street tacos with thinly sliced steak (comes with 4) and my coworker ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. The lady at the counter recommended the chicken sandwich with a twist, not sure what they switched up but she said it was her favorite. The chicken sandwich was amazing. Can't figure out which was better. For the cheesesteak just get it. I feel I'm a cheesesteak connoisseur but this set the bar. Tender beef and the grilled onions were cooked perfectly. Bread was perfect and very flavorful. I couldn't ask for one thing to make it better. The chicken quesadilla was recommended by the young lady working the counter and she was spot on. Great flavored chicken and a perfect combination of crispy shell and melted cheese. GET THE SALSA here. The green is amazing and has great spice. Not gonna hurt ya but I'm not a green fan and it was phenomenal. Honestly the worst part about this place is I might not visit any more Riverwalk restaurants and just keep going here until I leave. I had them remove the onions and bell peppers. I added some jalapeños. The cheesesteak was very good and the meat had good flavor. The meat was very tender as well. They don't have fries. The people who work here are really nice and they make sure you know that they appreciate you for coming which is nice.
