16 Apr 2026 First time here. Fiesta Fiesta prices were very high, so I thought I'd try here. They were high here also, but not as bad. I ordered a chicken fajita taco for $8.06. Odd price. It was large and tasty. Pretty sure I couldn't have eaten two of them. Diced chicken, onions and a good seasoning. The owner spoke with us. He owns this place, the Texan II bar next door and the snack place SNAX on the corner. Pretty nice little setup. The Sizzle is BYOB. You can buy drinks at SNAX and bring them in to the restaurant. The place is rather small. Two or three two-seater tables and one larger table. A family was seated here eating burger that looked pretty good. There are a couple of Two-seaters outside the shop. All in all pretty good, if not a little pricey. I was hungry. Try them when downtown. read more

Came here the other day for a quick lunch. This place does not sell any alcoholic beverages but is BYOB. When I went in, there was no one else in line. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and a coke then took a seat and waited for my food The food was really tasty and happy that I went here. I do need to mention that it does not seem like this place has any fries or onion rings. Instead, they have various chips that you can purchase. I recommend this place for a tasty burger. read more

There should be a line out the door down the sidewalk, waiting to get in this place. My wife and I love the local food establishments and Texas Sizzle did NOT disappoint. I had a breakfast taco; chorizo, egg, potato and cheese on a handmade tortilla. Could have easily been 3 tacos. With that said, it was full of flavor and made perfectly. Topped it with Verde salsa. Spectacular. My wife had the Chucken Fajita Quesadillas with grilled onion and peppers layered with cheese between handmade Tortillas. Savory and just right amount of spice. Added fresh Avacado slices and these should come with an award! Not kidding. Coffee was good, too. If you go stand in line on the street for the place nearby, you are missing out. They have a few tables inside, a counter to order at, and two small tables out front. Next time in in the area, I'd love to visit and try some other items. read more

Service was kind but food took 20min which I did not expect from this type of restaurant. My breakfast egg and potato tacos was good but nothing special. The brisket taco was not good. It was a single dry thin piece of brisket covered in sauce that was not great. Essentially all I tasted was the sauce but had to struggle to bite apart the brisket. We were in town for the weekend from N.Texas. I knew that SA was known for their breakfast tacos and found two favorites in the downtown area. Yelp helped us pick the two best choices from their reviews. So we came by just before 10am on a Sunday and found the owner waiting for his help to arrive. Poor guy was at the mercy of this generation that shows up when they want. He asked us to come back in a few minutes, so we ventured around the corner and stopped by a local coffee shop. Sure enough, he was open around 10 when we walked back by. It's a small dining room with only a few tables but already it was almost full. We ordered our tacos and got one of the last tables. You can't beat the price. We got four tacos and a side of hash browns for just over $20. That was amazing alone. The cashier brought them out about 10 minutes later and they looked AMAZING ! We also realized these are huge breakfast tacos and we could have ordered just one each. Well they didn't disappoint. The tortillas were so good and fresh. My first bite was the sausage and egg. OMG it was good! He even seasoned it well. Hot and tasty! Then my bacon and egg was even better. Loved that he uses thick cut bacon and it was crispy! You hit these tacos out of the park! The customer service deserves a 6th though. He came out of the kitchen and thanked us for coming back like we said we would. Texas Sizzle - Downtown San Antonio This tiny mom & pop spot has only about four tables, but it's packed with flavor and charm. For under $20, I got a hot cup of coffee and three huge tacos chorizo & egg, potato & egg, and carne guisada, all delicious. My favorite was the chorizo & egg, recommended by the friendly guy at the counter. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with locals constantly popping in for tacos to go. I was looking for a quick lunch while staying in the Hyatt Riverwalk and this place was just down the street. This place went from a table of locals to standing room only before I could finish my cheesesteak. The cheesesteak all the way and side of hashbrowns really hit the spot. Very friendly staff. This place has some of the worst ambience in the entire city. It looks like a rundown corner store where they painted the walls and hung up a couple signs. There was a grease ball at the front counter that went in the back and touched my food without washing his hands. I'm not even making this up. I sat there and watched the guy do it through the opening. It was also aggregiously overpriced for the quality of the food. Eggs were extremely burnt and quesadilla was extremely oily. Staying at the Valencia and craved breakfast tacos. Walked by the huge line trying to get into the Panaderia on a Sunday and found the Texan Sizzle. Small place with a few tables only a block or so from the hotel. The wife got a barbacoa taco and I got a potatoe, bean and cheese. Big fresh tortillas made everything delicious. You can order lunch and breakfast all day. Would be nice when you need a burger in the AM. read more
