Representative who took my request was very nice. The guy they sent was rude and not helpful at all. Didn't do any kind of inspection only looked at furnace and tried to upsell me on cleaning it. Moved into our house and had severe allergies. Turns out previous owners had a love of cats. Steam cleaned carpets and repainted entire interior with no improvement of allergies. Called Texas Air Duct Service as a last resort and crew came out using a HEPA removal system. I was showed the 1" thick layer of cat hair in one of the ducts. It appeared my duct was in need of cleaning, as tons of lint was cleaned out my duct which was unbelievably clogged! They used a rotary duct brush that got rid of so much lint I couldn't believe it! Had a Groupon coupon, not sure it was even honored. Quoted for ac duct cleaning $18. to $70. per duct. We have 8,.. cost us $75. per duct..do the math folks,..$560.+ tax, = $606.20...ugh, geezers Getting new A/C unit installed soon, and needed ducts cleaned for fresh air flow... and, we are hoping that will be the case. A 1 man job, done, but the cleanup was less than desirable. Drop cloths used, but still had furniture and bedding that wasn't covered. Black stuff on counters, tables, tv's, shelving etc. etc. etc. Have to mop the floors, and 'spot clean' some bedroom carpets, since his shoes weren't covered and that 'duct stuff' was tracked throughout our home. Lastly; Very nasty oily-ish, fingerprints over all 8 of our white vent covers....used comet to clean them up, as they were obviously an eyesore on our white ceilings. Wouldn't recommend them, or call upon them again. Very disappointed. read more

My wife and I called Texas Air Duct Cleaning Services to clean our fireplace. They arrived earlier than scheduled, calling ahead to see if it was all right with us. Both service men were professional and friendly. After the fireplace was clean, they let us look up the flue to check how clean it was (spotless as a flue can be!) and explained how often we should clean for safety reasons. Price was very reasonable and affordable. The entire visit lasted about thirty minutes! We will be using them every year, as well as having them out to clean our HVAC air ducts. Wow! What an amazing company. We had ordered an air duct cleaning for my Mom's house, but when the tech arrived, he inspected the vents and told us they really looked fine and because the of the older style fiberglass lining, the typical cleaning process would likely damage the fiberglass and we'd end up with little bits of it in the air, on our furniture, tables.. etc. He was so honest and helpful, I'll be sure to call them the next time we need a cleaning at a different property or need the dryer vent cleaned. :) read more

After reading all the positive reviews of this company, I decided to give them a try. We had just moved into our town home and had some work done that we thought may have created some dust. And since we were unaware if the ducts had been cleaned, we called Joseph and asked him to come out to do an inspection, give us a quote and schedule an appointment. Joseph came out, and did a quick inspection and provided me with a reasonable quote to do the work. When the day arrived for him to clean the ducts, Joseph showed up with his assistant and proceeded to do another walk through to determine the number of vents and cold returns he would have to work on just to make sure he had the right count. He asked if there were any vents or issues that were causing us concern. When I explained the lack of air flow in our second bedroom, he climbed his ladder and removed the vent. And then he surprised me by saying, "Your ducts don't need to be cleaned." He flashed a light to show me how clean they already were. He then said that there was no point in taking my money when the ducts didn't need any cleaning. He did an inspection of the cold returns and found that the filters were choked with dust and, hence, probably not doing their job. Joseph then proceeded to replace all the filters in our home (I provided the filters). But it was what he discovered toward the end of his visit that made me realize what a consummate professional he is. He inspected our furnace location and then asked to see the underside. When he removed the cold air return vent, he noticed that the pipes below the furnace had not been properly wrapped and that as a consequence the pipes were sweating and dripping water onto the floor. He pointed out the pool of water and advised me to soak up the water, spray with bleach to kill any possible mold and to wrap the exposed pipe. Had Joseph not caught this, it would have gone untreated and possibly creating a bigger issue with mold. It's just this kind of attention to detail that convinced me that I made the right choice in contacting Joseph. And on top of all this, he didn't even charge me for changing out the filters. Called this company and spoke with the owner Joseph. Explained I couldn't find much info on his company on the internet so I was just trying to do some research before hiring someone. He was very helpful with my situation which was this: My brand new LG gas dryer wouldn't dry clothes and I was getting the run around (and a bad referral for help) from Best Buy, and mixed info from LG and some HVAC guys. A very frustrating situation. I was told I probably needed a "vent booster fan" by a couple of guys and others said the dryer vent to the outside was probably clogged up with lint. I had blow it out with the leaf blower and air was passing through so I was sure that wasn't it. Joseph and his helper came out and pulled about 5 lbs of lint out of my dryer vent! My dryer works great now. They also cleaned my fireplace chimney and did both for a very reasonable price. They showed up when they said they would, and were very professional and most of all they fixed a very frustrating problem for my wife and myself.
