If I could give them zero stars I would. Horrible service, way over priced, and their food is horrible. Asked for no onions and no lettuce on a burger. Obviously they didn't listen. After I returned it and my wife's burger for not adding cheese, they said "we'll fix it". The burger came back 5 minutes later where they had just taken off the lettuce abd onions off the same burger and added a cold piece of cheese to my wife's burger. I had to return it a third time and got attitude from the girl behind the counter: Didn't even mention the taquitos were burnt. The manager finally comes out and says there's nothing he could do about the taquitos as that's how they come from Costco. First time taking my wife and kids and the last. While travelling, I decided to try out this place based on the 4.5 star google reviews and high scores there. I got the standard #1 meal (1/4lb cheeseburger with fries and a drink). The staff were friendly and the building looked clean and inviting. The price was reasonable. The fries were cooked to perfection - crispy exterior, fluffy interior, and just the right amount of salt - I even noticed a slight bit of flair on the seasoning as if they very lightly added another flavor. Whatever it was, it was delicious. The burger on the other hand was a slightly different story. The bun was quite a bit larger than the burger (first couple bites were just bun/toppings) but the toppings (lettuce, tomato, etc.) were fresh and popped with juiciness, however the burger meat was unfortunately not the star of the show. The flavor and texture immediately reminded me of a cross between a McDonalds and a Burger King burger. The texture moreso reminiscent of McDonalds and the flavor slightly more on the char-broiled Burger King side. Certainly edible and decent, especially with the toppings saving the show, but perhaps I had my expectations set a bit higher for a standalone burger joint with high ratings that isn't a fast-food chain. As I ate, I was thinking to myself that maybe a 1/2 pound patty would have given me a better chance to analyze the quality of meat and the cooking, but it doesn't seem like that is a menu option. There are double and triple burger selections but of course those would be the same 1/4 patties just stacked on each other. Overall, it was decent. 3/5. The overall Yelp score seems more in line with my experience than the Google score. They do have a variety of menu options besides burgers, so your mileage may vary based on what you get. read more

Probably one of the worst places in gustine. Manager treats his employees like crap! The cooks can't do anything right. Little girls working upfront that can't tell their right hand from their left!! I was there tonight and all I can say is the kid working the register was extremely rude. I've never heard of a restaurant give customers their food with no drinks! And when I questioned him all he could say was everybody didnt get their drink yet because it is busy. So he wanted to push out the food and let their food get cold because he's to fixated on getting everybody's order in first. I also didn't appreciate the fact that he was yelling and giving so much attitude to all the teenagers when they asked for their drinks. He should talk to every customer with respect. New local place in town. Used to be a burger drive-in years ago that was favorite with tourists traveling to Yosemite. It was a donut shop, a taqueria, and was closed several times. Now open under new owners, it appears this little drive-in is once again fulfilling it's proper function. I saw the sign outside last night, and knew a burger was in my future! I came in for lunch today. There are three options for ordering: walk up to the outside window for take-out or outside dining on the patio, call ahead (209-854-6783) for no wait service, or go inside and order. Service was quick, friendly, and my order was accurate. I ordered #12. Double Texas Bacon Cheeseburger with medium fries and a medium soda. This burger was delicious! The beef patties aren't overly large, but perfectly grilled and still juicy. The cheese is melted just right and the bacon is wonderfully tasty. Everything about the burger was perfectly suited. The fries are seasoned crinkle cut and nicely crispy. I am impressed with this place and their great service. I hope they never go the way of most Gustine businesses and just disappear.
