    Lobster bisque and rice
    Dawn A.

We decided to treat ourselves to Texas de Brazil for Christmas dinner. We've eaten here several times in the past and it's our favorite Brazilian steakhouse. But sometimes the service and quality can be spotty, so I wasn't sure what to expect on Christmas. We booked an early (3:30) dinner and were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly and festive hostess. It wasn't very crowded but a lot of big tables of families celebrating. Our server Nicole was amazing and took our drink orders right away. The salad bar was well stocked and fresh. My favorite is always the lobster bisque. The meat selection was fantastic and we were never waiting too long for our favorites. They brought out lamp chops right away, garlic sirloin, top sirloin medium rare and amazing filet mignon. Also beef ribs. The Christmas menu wasn't that different from the usual selection but it seemed like they did bring out more of the better cuts of meat. I'm taking off one star because of the price - it is expensive but worth it! However I wish the "salad bar only" option was cheaper - my daughter doesn't eat meat. We were able to afford it more often when we had 2 kids meals. And when I went to use the ladies room, the light in one stall was broken and the door lock on the other was broken. It took away from the ambiance of such a nice place. To end on a high note, Texas de Brazil is a great place to celebrate a special occasion, with upscale decor and dark wood that makes you feel like you aren't in a shopping mall.

I'd like to make recommendations to make this restaurant better than what I consider a 3 star review. Keep the reservations that are made to less than a 15 minute wait upon arrival. Ours was 30 minutes to be seated. Keep a front house manager actually verifying that guests are satisfied. Deliver the food as stated if you tell the table Medium rare, don't bring medium well, to well done. Verify that the noise level isn't increased by the music being too loud. Don't run out of drinks. Invest in blinds so that the cars parking don't shine their headlights through the windows. Make sure the waiters make eye contact with the guests, don't let them walk away from the table and not serve everyone. Verify that the food being served is not being over seasoned and is the correct temperature. The salad bar was good ! Make sure the grease catchers are emptied, ( they spilled grease on my pants ) Fix the bathroom doors, both men's and women's doors are being blocked open and that is not classy. I want to bring my family ( party of six ) back, but these deficiencies cannot continue.

This is my absolute favorite place the meats are amazing. There's so many choices everything comes out hot fresh and delicious. I love that they ask how you want the meat. The drinks are super delicious as well. It's always clean and the servers are always so friendly. They'll always ask what you like the most so they bring more of it to you. I've never had a bad experience here. There's always plenty of parking and you can make reservations through open table. If you're looking for a good party spot they have plenty of room in the back as well.

Consider this a mildly-belated review for Texas de Brazil as it's hitting the Yelpy world about two and a half months after actually eating here with my wife and her sister and parents back in March. I'd say the delay was because I've been a busy human doing busy human things, but I've written other reviews since then so it honestly boils down to Texas de Brazil just not being anything amazing. You see, in the world of churrascaria, I'm used to Fogo de Chao. I've been to the Garden City spot many times and so my standards were up near their often high marks. I mean, I wrote a four star review for Fogo just because even there it can be hectic and tough to get meats/have a perfect meal, but there are a lot of positives I'd still give to Fogo over Texas. For starters, at TdB you have to order the all-you-can-eat grilled meat selection (at Fogo you have meat options). This could initially sound great because it doesn't limit you to only certain skewers coming around with meats, and you get to try everything available (which we did), but the downsides are it's pricier, you're pigeonholed into that option (unless you want just the salad bar), and you still might end up looking for a specific meat if you're not liking a lot of what is coming around. For all of us, we enjoyed the full meat variety at first, but we got to a point where many meats were tasting rather similar and it honestly made it difficult to decide what to eat and what we wanted more of. It also helped that we came on the earlier side so servers were constantly coming around, but I'm not sure if the frequency would be as high during a busy time period. Speaking of servers, I will give credit to the fact that everyone that helped us was friendly and accommodating. My sister-in-law doesn't like steak and so they specifically brought out two different chickens she (and we) could try. They also did ask a few times if there were any specific meats we wanted so that does mildly squash what I said earlier about not finding what you want, though again, it was not crowded at all so a busier time would be needed to really test this initially helpful staff. Swinging back into the food, the meat varieties might've been better here at Texas than with Fogo, but that doesn't necessarily count as a win. I did enjoy the spicy steak options and a few of the sausage/bacon wrapped items, but a lot of what I was trying just blended together. The steaks weren't entirely popping with flavor and the chickens were a tad dry. As for the salad bar, there were a lot of the same types of foods that you'll find at Fogo (cheeses, sliced cured meats, marinated veggies), though I can't say there was anything that necessarily stood out. Well, the fact that several items were labeled was helpful and something Fogo doesn't do so that was a nice touch. Overall, Texas de Brazil is a decent Brazilian steakhouse that will give you some positives in potential friendly staff and meat options, but you'll almost definitely be paying more because of a lack of meat meal choices. Plus those flavors aren't going to have you dying to come back. So if you have the option between Fogo and Texas, stay out of the lone star state and go to Fogo.

Awesome experience here with a bunch of friends! We had a large group of 12 people and they were extremely accommodating. The food was fantastic, with manny different varieties of meats and seasonings there was defiantly something for everyone. Pro tip: don't fill up too much on sides at the beginning, they seem to save the best meats for last

Came here for mother's day. All in all...servers are rude and flat -- not friendly. Food is alright, nothing extraordinary. We have been to better churrasqueiras, honestly. We just wanted to try this place out as there are no others like it around. Plainly, the meat was okay. The chicken was tough and after a few mins, hard af. I didn't bother eating it. The salad bar is mediocre. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas, lime caipirinha, and 2 bottles of sparkling waters. The drinks were good. Desserts, we had the chocolate mousse cake, flan and pecan pie with ice cream. The desserts were good as well. We let the server know it was our first time. She seemed jaded and stale. As did another server. By the salad bar, they keep a DISPLAY of dessert that they use as a visual menu. My elderly parents didn't know and mom took a slice to the table and questioned the way it looked (lol, tho) and my dad asked a server for a serving spatula and that's when an unamused server said, "no that's fake" so my dad ran to my mom and said, "DON'T EAT THAT! IT'S FAKE". Then our server comes a second later like... "that's fake". Thank you, we figured that out ourselves. -_- Advice for the manager: If you're going to put that by the REAL food, put a sign saying, "display only", or "used as a display menu only - do not eat". It was literally at the buffet area. My mom felt embarrassed and I felt bad because this was for Mother's Day. The waitress didn't even say anything after she said, "that's fake". She just continued, "so did you want to order that for dessert then?" Like EW! I would have said, "oh don't worry, it happens all the time," or something, anything! Don't think I'll be back nor will I recommend to others. Our bill for 4 people came out to $450. The servers already know that they're getting a hefty tip, so they don't work as hard. For that price, I would go to a high end restaurant. In hindsight, I wish we didn't give her the tip we did.

AMAZING! Great food! Delicious and high quality cuts of meat! Great drinks! Great desserts! The salad bar is huge and well stoked! We came over for Christmas Eve and we had such a great time! The restaurant is beautiful, lops of parking spot, clean and welcoming decor. The service is where this restaurant really shines! Our server Rebeca was attentive and gave us A+ service! When you come try the fried banana it's CRAZY GOOD! I loved it so much I took an order to go. I can not wait to be back!

I even received a rose for the occasion! However, we waited 10 minutes before someone finally approached us and asked, 'Is anyone helping you? Are you okay with tap water?' I understand it was a busy Valentine's Day weekend, but I expected a proper greeting rather than just being asked about tap water. When she brought the water, she asked if it was our first time. We said yes, expecting a brief explanation of the restaurant's concept. Instead, she just said, 'Technically, the meats will come to you, and you can go to the market and get anything you want. That's our special for tonight, you can go ahead and head over to the marketplace.' We went to the 'marketplace,' and it was delicious! We tried several items, and everything was tasty and fresh. Salads. Cold cuts. Rice. Beans. Zero complaints there. Back at the table, the gauchos began bringing the meats--filet mignon, picanha, sausage, bacon-wrapped steak, chicken, and lamb. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service, however, stayed subpar. My mango caipirinha arrived five minutes later, but my husband's Coke never showed up. We waited all dinner for it and never received it. Our waitress only came back once because we flagged her down for water, and then again for the check. Even the tables around us were wondering where she was. This was extremely disappointing!!! Zero smiles or a nice tone from Her. The food was delicious (5 stars), but the service she provided was definitely 0 stars. I want to come back for the food, but the service is making me think twice.

I'm open to almost anything so off we went. The restaurant was nice. I liked the decor and that we could see the giant grill. We ordered drinks, they took a million years to come out so we were just sitting there drinking water not really sure what was happening. They even came to fill up our waters and completely missed my daughter's empty water glass but left us sitting not knowing what we should be doing. Finally someone came with the bread so we asked if we can go to the salad bar thing in the middle of the restaurant. The salad bar was great! So many different things to pick from! The potato salad, corn, tropical fruit, jicama apple salad were some of my favorites. My daughter only ate from that and I could have as well. My friend and I did the meat thing. It was ok, there was some that were good, a few that were very fatty and forget the pork chop, when the guy started slicing it looked like fat and raw pork. They came around with grilled pineapple that had cinnamon on it. I loved that and also the cheese with the honey, delicious! The side dishes- cheesy bread that dripped oil was a no and the rectangular fried things that looked like potato but weren't potato were chokingly dry but the plantains were sweet and delicious! We were greeted by our waitress & seated immediately. Our waitress was quite attentive. She was a pleasure to have around, I forget her name but she's a petite woman with long black hair. There were only two other tables occupied at that time and a few ppl at the bar. First impression, a nice cozy restaurant full of bold colorful decor, nice sized bar, maybe 5-6 sections in total. Drinks: the passion fruit margarita was amazing! I love that they used fresh fruit in the drink. My father enjoyed a coconut drink and sister had a spicy margarita. All delicious My nephews did not enjoy the lemonade (not sweet) or sweet tea (also not sweet). Also, there is only one choice for the kids' menu so we ordered chicken fingers and fries for my 5 y/o nephew. FYI per the waitress every dish is cooked to order so be prepared to wait Appetizers: I wanted the cod fish fritters but was informed they were no longer available and will be removed from the menu. We ordered the trio of empanadas which consisted of 1 cheese, 1 chicken, & 1 beef. My hungry teenager devoured the meat ones and I split the cheese one with my nephew. All tasty, no complaints. Dinner: I ordered the passion fruit (wild caught) salmon served over shredded collard greens & yucca mash (small portion but full of flavor sorry forgot to take photo). Every one else ordered a beef meal and were pleased. FYI: gratuity was included on the bill, she deserved every $$. The owners did not come over to greet us but the waitress did an amazing job checking on us non stop and making sure drinks were refilled and plates were removed in a timely manner.
