Stuffed Quesadilla
Daniel V.

Came in on a Saturday evening. Karaoke night was pretty entertaining, with a whole variety of patrons on the mic. The tvs in the bar are small and quite old, making it less than ideal to watch a sporting event. They have a great draft beer selection and a few $5 drink specials. Theres plenty of indoor and outdoor seating so we were able to get sat immediately. Our server rushed us for no reason, asking if we wanted boxes just several minutes after we got our plates. The food quality is what I expected from a dive bar kitchen, though it did come out quickly which was nice. Wings were quite small and poor quality chicken. The nachos were massive with a load of brisket, could easily share with a few people. The brisket quesadilla was the best of what we ordered, with a nicely grilled tortilla and was delicious dipped in the sour cream and guacamole.

We've been going here off and on for years when we've traveled through Temecula. The service is friendly and the food is excellent. If you love bbq, you'll love the ribs! They have lots of sports on TVs, both men's and women's sports, and a bar that circles round with plenty of seats. There are even TVs outside on the patio. Dogs are not only welcome but there are water bowls and menu items available for your canine friends. Fun place to stop by and give it a try.

Good thing we didn't read reviews before visiting. Usually will not try a place with negative reviews. With that being said, we had a very nice lunch. The food was outstanding, real home cooking, very tasty, large portions. Service was great, friendly, quick, and helpful.

We had a great lunch at Texas Lils today! Amazing weather to eat outside and our servers name was Daniel. Daniel was quite helpful in us making our menu selection. The brisket enchiladas were amazing! Thank you for an amazing lunch and great service!!

Over all great service & food , everyone was really friendly. I enjoyed that it wasn't so crowded or long wait like the other restaurants . We got BBQ brisket sandwich & chili cheese fries , our server was Guillermo who recommended it .

Came in with my family after church this morning and we all got bbq pulled pork/brisket/tri tip! It was amazing and service was awesome as always! Love Lils

Waitress had spunk! Ambiance is casual and down to earth. There's a jukebox and I felt like all types of music was being played which made for a pleasant atmosphere. Hubby and I came in on a busy Friday and were greeted and sat right away. I had their dinner plate, 2 margaritas and 1 Mexican candy shot. My hubby had the burger with the chili tater tots and a soda. Apparently the chili is a family recipe.. and the chili was so good, guard that recipe you guys!! will definitely return when we are in Temecula.

Catfish Sandwich - 7/10 Huge portions, I shared... this had two sandwiches on the plate.

I came here with the family. My kiddos said they liked Chik-Fil-A better lol I guess the good thing is that the food had huge portions. I wouldn't say it was the best food I've had. It was decent. Server was okay. He kind of got our order wrong, but it wasn't too bad. We also had to wait a lot to box our food to go and pay. This looks like an old place and it's pretty dark in there. We got seated right away for a party of 5, but had to wait other times.

This place is rather dirty. Came in with my husband on a Tuesday and it was rather dead. It appeared that regulars were onsite. The bartender sprayed on her perfume in front of us while at seated at the bar. I got a quick whiff and I asked if it was fabulouso but he said no because the gal sprayed on her perfume in front of us. There was no one seated in the restaurant. This is a clear Bar Rescue place!!! John where are you?!

This was my 2nd time here and it was worth the 65 mile drive. Our server was a delight, very attentive. The food was amazing and perfectly cooked. It was karaoke night so that was an added bonus we didn't expect. I was sad to see they no longer have the burnt rib ends on the menu so hopefully they will bring them back. The location is fun and after dinner (or lunch) there's lots of things you can do in that area.

What attracted me was the Texas Style BBQ and I've read plenty of positive reviews saying the BBQ is legit. Last Saturday on July 4th we made our way to Temecula to dine at the Swing Inn Cafe & BBQ. The town was packed due to a 250th birthday celebration parade. The parade blocked us from getting to the restaurant. We had to wait until it was over which was like 20 minutes. At the hostess station we were advised it would be a 45 minutes wait for a party of 5. The place was busy with customers but the employees did an excellent job in providing great service. 20 minutes later we were seated outside. There were six parties ahead of us but they didn't show when called. Guess they got tired of waiting. I ordered a full rack of the pork spare ribs with smoked beans as my one side. But when I got my food I had an extra side of smoked beans. The ribs were tender, thick and the meat came of the bone easily. It had a nice smokey taste and the smoked beans complimented the meat. I have to admit one of the best spare pork ribs I had in my life. My mom got the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes and gravy. The chicken fried steak was seasoned well and very tender. My step dad ordered Large Brisket plate with coleslaw. And my brother and sister in law both got the 2 meat plate with smoked turkey and brisket with sides of macaroni and cheese and smoked beans. The beef brisket and smoke turkey was very good according to my family. For dessert I got the cinnamon roll a popular item, step dad and mom shared a slice of apple pie and my brother got the coconut cream pie. Everything was very sweet and delicious. We were hoping to catch Dean but I figured he was probably spending time with family on this holiday. We will return and hopefully he will be there so we can let him know how much we loved his food and acting.

Temecula is hot for a good part of the year.  I noticed they had misters on the patio which had a wonderful cooling effect.  I liked the old building housing the cafe.  Inside it feels like the old days. I ordered a rack of pork ribs with onion rings.  Onion rings were panko battered and had a crunchy exterior and nice onion flavor.  Ribs were coated with a delicious peppery dry rub.  The center of the ribs was tender and juicy.  I loved the mix of pork and smoky peppery flavor of these ribs. I also sampled the beef brisket.  Beef was tender and juicy.  The dry rub gave the brisket a delicious peppery flavor to go with the smoky beef flavor. Great tasting bbq here and the server was nice and efficient.  Next time I'm gonna order a half pound of brisket and pulled pork. Jesse: Wait, wait, hold up! Her suggestions were spot on and really made my decision easy. I ordered the Rib Tickler and also decided to add their Link & Drink special. I normally wouldn't have ordered the sausage, but I'm so glad I did! It was smoky, juicy, and reminded me of a really good kielbasa. It ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal. The onion rings were perfectly crispy, the BBQ was flavorful, and the portions were huge. I only ate about a quarter of my meal before I was completely full, so I'll easily get two or three meals out of it. The restaurant was clean, there was plenty of parking, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. If you're looking for a casual BBQ spot with generous portions, friendly service, and delicious food, Phil's BBQ is definitely worth a visit. I'll absolutely be back!

The sliders were decent but did not live up to the price in either taster or portion. The baked beans lacked flavor and seemed watered down. Speaking of watered down, the fountain drinks were definitely watered down... with some remnants of possible hops or some other type of aftertaste. The service was okay because the gentleman working seemed nice but he appeared to be the only waiter in the whole place and was definitely overwhelmed. The place was wide open and pretty much all outdoors so it's cool for a bar but not great for a dinner date. All of this gave me the impression Steinerhaus would be better suited as a bar serving bar food. If those are your expectations you'll probably be okay. For some reason, I just never made it back here; probably because the Promenade area isn't usually along our route. Coming here tonight genuinely brightened my day. I had just finished a long shift and a commute, and all I wanted was a good, comforting meal. My nutritionist told me yesterday need to significantly increase my protein intake to help reduce muscle loss related to my autoimmune thyroid condition. KBBQ seemed like the perfect choice; lots of protein without a lot of unnecessary junk. On my way home, I stopped at two other KBBQ restaurants. Apparently, I was unaware of the unspoken rule that some places don't serve parties of one on weekends. One restaurant even had me wait 25 minutes before telling me they wouldn't seat a solo diner during the weekend. Unfortunately, my husband is currently deployed, so being a party of one isn't exactly a choice for me right now! Normally, dining alone doesn't bother me at all, but today it got to me. I was exhausted and simply wanted a comforting meal. Being turned away after waiting 25 minutes just because I by myself was the last thing I needed. When I called this restaurant, the owner or manager immediately answered and was incredibly friendly. He explained that they offer entrée and plate options for guests who aren't doing the all-you-can-eat menu. I honestly don't understand why more restaurants don't offer this. I know the food industry is competitive and businesses have to make money, but having options for solo diners makes such a difference. When I arrived, I received wonderful service right away, and there was no wait, but they were full. The owner or manager recognized me as the person who had called earlier and went out of his way to make me feel welcome since we found out we're from the same area. He even added a little surprise to my order simply out of kindness. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. In an area with no shortage of restaurants, I want to give this place the credit it deserves, not only for the excellent food, but for the heart behind the business. Today, I'm especially grateful for the kindness and generosity shown to me. You never know what someone may be going through, and a simple act of thoughtfulness can make a bigger impact than you realize. His kindness truly lifted my spirits after a long and difficult day. I believe this is a small family-owned business, and they absolutely deserve the support of the community. Great food is easy to find; genuine hospitality is much harder to come by. I'll definitely be back!
