My husband and I love coming to the bar at Texas Lil's. The bar staff is friendly, fast and efficient. The drinks are great and we love people watching. What we don't love is the guy out front, he is abrasive and doesn't let anyone walk on, regardless if it is raining and cold outside or even if they just want to go to the bar. He is out of control and people leave just because of him. Attached picture is of him. Everyone at the bar was talking about how abrasive and rude he is. Management needs to talk to him, he is chasing people away like he is a bouncer at a nightclub. Poor couple waiting outside with an infant waited so long in the cold they left, too cold for the baby. I came in to Texas Lils today with 4 other friends . We all brought some outside drinks with us . The waiter only asked me to leave with my drink because it was an alcoholic drink . The other 3 drinks were non alcoholic but all open containers , Nobody else was asked to leave or take their drinks outside . The sign at the restaurant states that no outside beverage or food can be brought into the establishment . I feel I was targeted by the waiter because I am a straight male . I am not sure why I never reviewed this place before. it's a 4.5 star for me because of the vibe, the super friendly and fun staff and the food (that comes in large portions). I like passing by Texas Lil's once week for a delicious $5 margarita but also some snacks. A huge plus for the beanless Chili, fried zucchini sticks (handmade, light/thin batter, large juicy pieces of zucchinis... they are to die for!) and extra spicy chicken wings. Believe it or not Taxes Lil's is actually the only place where I'll eat buffalo wings (I usually find them too sour...) Large selection of beers and cocktails. Super cute and friendly bartenders. This place has the best beef ribs I've ever had. They're so good that I don't want to try beef ribs anywhere else for fear of being disappointed. I've returned several times with my family and have recommended it to others to try the beef ribs. The Lil's Sample Platter is also delicious. I really enjoy the atmosphere here--they have karaoke, and the staff is very friendly. They even offer margaritas for just $5. Went here with family of 4 to celebrate son's 18th birthday . Told the waitress this as well. After we got our food , waitress never came back to check on us , refill our drinks or do anything for our son's birthday. When I asked to speak with the manager , she replied she was the manager. Whether she was or not I do not know. I let her know her tip would not be great because of the service. She replied sorry I was busy. She made no attempt as the Manager to correct the situation. A free desert for my son's birthday , a discount for the poor service or even a coupon to try it again another day. She did not care. We will not be going back. Have seen other reviews talking about poor service but that was not the case. Everything was pretty quick and food came not too long after ordering. It definitely was loud, so you probably shouldn't eat here if you're looking for something peaceful and relaxing. Lots of energy and fun vibes. Wow the food here is fantastic! They have a very large menu and everyone at our table was very satisfied with their meal. The nachos were incredible and so cheesy and was HUGE! What a fun place!! Came in for a few drinks and stayed for karaoke :) The bar staff is friendly and fast . Loved that our non drinkers had yummy options to choose from as well. It was our first time to try this place and it was very busy. The front guy told us that we had to wait 30-45 minutes before we can be seated even though I saw there were many vacant tables outside. Anyway, we didn't wait that long since we decided to break our group into a smaller group so they can accommodate us. The food was alright, I ordered fish and chips with onion rings, but it was very salty for me, although the portions are big. My friend ordered the $5 margarita, and she loved it. All the servers were amazing except for that one guy in front who's kinda rude to everyone. I must admit, we stumbled onto this place. My wife and I were celebrating our 10th anniversary weekend and we, or rather I, decided to take the 40kw Nissan Leaf for a trip to Harrah's Southern CA in San Diego. With gas prices at an all time high, I didn't want to spend money on gas (I have $250.00 worth of free EVgo charging from Nissan when I leased the Leaf) and the Leaf was an inexpensive and green way to get there. However, we never started with a full charge when we dropped off our kids at my in-law's house. While the onboard computer stated we would have 7% left of charge when we got to the casino, those odds were a little too risky for me. So I did a voice search for EVgo charging stations and the navigation took us to 6th Street in Old Town Temecula. My wife and I have never been here, so what turned out to be a quick pit stop for us to charge the Leaf ended up being a really nice surprise. After parking and hooking up the car to the charger, we were greeted to rock music coming from a band playing live at a local bar. It was the late afternoon, and while the air was still warm, there was just enough of a breeze to bring a slight chill. The sun was also playing peek-a-boo with the nearby mountains that were dotted by vineyards, that coincidentally, my brother-in-law and his husband were touring, so that also added to the chill, not cold, but charmingly cool. We walked all of a block and we saw a burger joint. We were about to go in when my wife eyed Texas Lil's right next door. She wanted to sit on the outdoor patio and we quickly got seated. This place is dog/pet friendly with even a dog food section on the menu, nice. We opted for two appetizers, a lemonade and an Arnold Palmer. The hot wings were some of the best I've tasted and the ranch was oooohhhhh sooooo good! I don't know if it's from a powder or a bottle or they squeezed it out of a tree. All I can say is that it was silky smooth and tasted absolutely delicious. It complimented the wings and celery stalks perfectly. I'd really just make the drive to Temecula for this dish. The shrimp cocktail was equally epic. My wife loved it. There was avocado, cucumber, onions and plenty of tomato juice along with thick, juicy shrimp. The tri-colored tortilla chips were a little skimpy, but the waiter quickly brought out freshly heated warm ones. It was nice sitting on the patio, looking at my wife of 10 years and realizing how lucky a guy I am for her having said yes to me all those years ago. We had a nice breeze, the sun was shining and the occasional low rider drove by (either there was a car show this particular Saturday or the bombs are out on Saturday's) bumping oldies and reflecting the sun in the myriad of hues coming off the metal flake in their custom paint jobs. It really was a wonderful start to a wonderful weekend. Sure, after 4 kids and 10 years of marriage, I haven't been the old romantic that swept her off her feet. But thanks to the navigation and EVgo, I became that romantic guy she met years ago... Wait! she pursued me...I'm just the guy who kept the romance alive... and this time, it was with a 'lil help from Texas Lil's. read more

Glad we went at 1130 for lunch,by 1230the place was jammin!! Food was great, I had the hot wings appetizer which was enough to eat and have some left over! The sandwiches must have been great, the two people with me finished theirs completely. Potato salad was great as a side to the pulled pork sandwich. I'll have to come back to get French fries as a side to the brisket sandwich next time. Service was fast and friendly. We will be back to try more! Food here is good but the staff is garbage. Well not all of them but the management except for Pedro are a bunch of rude assholes that talk to their employees terribly. Becky is a looney lady who is so insanely rude to her workers, A server was helping us and she decided to go to the server and be rude to her right in front of our faces, it was actually unreal. There's another manager I'm not familiar of his name that we overheard him saying he didn't want to bother helping only spanish speaking customers even though he was obviously spanish himself? 2022.04-09/SAT_1836: We decided to stop in because it was close to the end of our night and everyone wanted a snack. Sadly, I remember arriving but I don't remember leaving. I remember drinking four glasses of water and I had a couple of tater tots in my intoxicated stuper (which I haven't done since my twenties) and apparently, I ate one of their Brisket Potato Skins. The skins were covered in fresh cut, diced tomatoes and the brisket was smoked in mesquite. Both items that I'm allergic to (which explains why I'm covered in hives)....I managed to take pictures so that's a plus and my family and friends said their food was tasty. I wish I could say more from personal experience but I can't! Just know that my family and friends said it was good, even down to the French fries and tots!
