So I always get the grilled chicken salad to go! It seems that the people who work there does not know what goes on this salad! For the last two months they have habitually forgot or just did not put the bacon bits on the salad or put them in a container like they do the chicken to be put on my salad at my me. They forgot the dressing and my husband is allergic to tomatoes and eggs and he asked them to leave them off and they just can't understand how to do this! We were eating the other night and my 2 year old was playing with something on the table, when I grabbed it I seen it was a dead cockroach. We told the waitress and she had it cleaned up and we have it the benefit of the doubt, ordered, and ate. The manager that night went to every table around us and checked on them, but never said a word to us. Consistently very good. My steak is always cooked just right and the food is always very fresh. My ONLY gripe is that I was once a fan of the beef tips.... One visit I ordered them and the were disgusting. The meat was no longer chunks of steak but rather half ground pieces of meat. When I asked the manager what happened, he told me that they now receive the steak tips pre-packaged from corporate and this was the new way of doing them. He did offer to make them the old way for me any time I wanted them in the future. read more

Went for a birthday celebration. I had a 20oz bone in Ribeye with mushrooms on it. Baked potato and salad completed the main course My wife had a strip steak cooked to perfection and of course we start every meal out with a blooming onion. The service as always is impeccable. Upon asking our waitress just how many servers were working on a given night she informed us that all she has responsibility for are three tables hence the great service. I just love the atmosphere inside one of this chain restaurants. They really pull off the "country feel" and it truly is an experience every time you go. the food is very delicious. The have free peanuts at your tables and bread rolls with some delicious cinnamony butter. I would suggest to you, if you go @ later time. Every single time I order carry out, there's an issue. Either they have no rolls, no utensils, and something is always missing! The kicker is that when you talk to the managers there, it's like pulling teeth to get a refund. They expect you to just drive back there to get get it! If you're lucky when you go Becca will be working that night and she is a fantastic person and a great server so ask for her. For a steak I recommend the bone-in Rib-eye. The TR Sirloin and regular Rib-eye's are great but the Bone-in Rib-eye takes it to a whole new level. Trust me on this. They have a nice bar with a lot of TV's which is great especially when they are showing a St. Louis Cardinal game! Caution: No one with peanut allergies should go here. Or any TR for that matter. I can still taste the salt. I think I lost 3 years of my life. Let the manager know everything just tasted like an immense amount of salt and she said "Yep, that's how we prepare things here." I should have heeded the warning of the ambulance outside when I showed up. Hope whoever it was got their blood pressure back to normal. Even the fried pickles -- a food literally soaked in salty brine -- seemed like it was coated with overly seasoned breading. I did think to wipe the seasoning off my last piece of shrimp. I'm a steak and potatoes kind of guy, so when I am in the mood for a steak, I tend to stick to places I'm at least somewhat familiar with. I have experienced several different locations of this restaurant, and each one was as satisfying as the last. I feel that when I eat someplace familiar, it gives me a nice sense of comfort knowing that my experience will almost always be a pleasant one, and this visit did not disappoint in the least bit. I went with a small group, and they had no problem seating us, and doing it very promptly. the server took our drink orders immediately and returned quickly to dispense them and to take our orders. we ordered a few appetizers, and got some of their tasty bread. despite the large amount of people in the restaurant on this visit, it didn't take long for the appetizers to arrive, and they were cooked delightfully well. We placed our food order, and enjoyed conversation and fun until the food arrived not too long after. the meal choices were right on spot, and everyone in the group including myself were all highly satisfied with the outcome of our meals. Our server made repeated trips to our table, checking our drinks and doing a wonderful job making sure all was well with our meal and experience. Since we were eating at a peak time, the restaurant was rather busy, everyone seemed to work well together both on the floor and in the kitchen, working to get each tables order out to them with the shortest amount of wait time as they possibly could, this in itself only added to the satisfying experience we were having. once the meal was over, our table was cleared promptly, and the checks were dropped, we paid and left. it was the perfect ending to a rather satisfying meal, and that is the key factor in eating out, to be fully satisfied, and to feel as though you honestly did get your money's worth. First let me start by saving I love Texas Roadhouse. The food is constantly good. My issue last night was not so much with the food although my prime rib was over seasoned. The issue Came with our "couldn't give a damn" waiter. Our Order was simple one frozen peach margarita and water. We ordered our meal at the same time. One chicken tender salad with no tomatoes and ranch on the side. One 10" prime rib,medium rare, salad With ranch, loaded baked potato with everything on the side. Meal came quickly, except for my salad, I asked for creamy horseradish. Waiter disappeared never to be seen again until check time. Luckily a manager came by and asked how everything was. We told her no horse radish and no salad. She quickly said she would get the horse radish and she would take the salad off the check. She never asked if I still wanted the salad, which I did. We still had food to eat and I could have eaten it. The part that annoys me the most was no apology. The waiter showed up at check time and when we told him what happened he said nothing except for how did we want the check. No apologies, no how was your food, no refills on water or ask if we wanted anything else. Perhaps the entire staff needs to have additional training. And the cook staff should lighten up in the seasoning. read more

If you've gotta go to a chain restaurant, this will do. It's my in-laws' favorite, so we find ourselves there pretty often. The food and service has been good every time. The weeknight specials that end at 6 are a pretty good deal at $7.99, especially when it tastes good. We get the Roadkill, which is chopped sirloin. Sorry, I didn't make up the name. It's enough for us to split if we get an extra salad, so definitely a good deal. It's always loud. Service is always good, so I guess they are blessed with good managers. Music is country. Ambience is a tacky embarrasment for Texas. The waitresses dance once in a while, which entertains the little one. Another plus is that you can call ahead and get assigned a number so you don't have to wait too long for a table. I'd probably give it a higher rating, but it is a national chain, after all. First of all we found a large bug on our table after our app was dropped off. We didn't know if it came off the delivered app or the light above us. Second, when the food was dropped off 4 of the ceramic plates had large chips on the sides. If I wasn't paying attention my hand could have been cut. Third, steak way over cooked. Corn was bland. Ordered mash potatoes and gravy, WAY more gravy than potatoes. It was like soup. We usually visit the Sunset Hills location. That's where we will ALWAYS go from now on. I went to the Arnold, Mo location today shortly after they opened. After placing my order I went to the bathroom and when I sat down I seen a poop filled maxi pad lying on the handrail just above the TP holder. It was disgusting either they didn't clean the restroom over night or an employee crapped their pants. The manager offered me a free bag of to go peanuts for my disgusting experience. Our Friday Night dining tradition continues this week to a visit to a time-tested fav - Texas Roadhouse! We arrived early, an absolute necessity to get a table without waiting on a Friday night. We were seated by 5:00pm and our waitress was prompt, funny, engaging and got every aspect of our meal right! I ordered the Tenderloin Medallions with the portabello topping - YUM! I asked for medium and I got it - another win! Their broccoli is always steamed perfectly and the spices they put on it make me think I'm having something much more sinful than broccoli. The baked potato was properly done so that was another plus. I had a Coke to drink and my glass was always full. My fiance' had the 8oz sirloin, medium, and it was also done as expected. He said it was very good (and he's pretty darn picky!). His baked potato was also properly prepared and the applesauce...well, not much you can screw up with applesauce. He ordered Sweet Tea and was kept in plentiful supply. The rolls were de-lish as always (I had 2 and a half!!!) and we were in and out of there fairly quickly...but not rushed. We were offered dessert AFTER she set the bill down, which generally bugs me, but it wasn't done in a "get your butt out of my station" kind of way, so it was OK. As we left, the line was already out into the winter warming tent! If you're going to go on a weekend a) call ahead or b) get there early! Don't say I didn't warn ya! Living in the area, I've been to this location with family several times. It's your typical middle of the road type steakhouse, but the food is good. The rolls/bread are some of the best around. They have cinnamon butter which is fantastic as well. The menu has a wide variety, and the place is very affordable. You'll notice plenty of peanut shells on the floor as you walk through the restaurant, as well as wait staff performing various country line dances. The only negatives I can say about this place are: 1) It's always very crowded, and if you don't call ahead or get here before 5 you'll be in for a long wait. The food is good, but it's not worth waiting 30 plus minutes for. 2) To go along with the first point, the place is always very loud, and isn't an easy place to have a conversation if you're there with a larger group. If you have a group of 5 or more, I'd suggest going somewhere else. All in all, I'm very happy that Arnold has Texas Roadhouse. We need more restaurants like this. read more

If I could give this review a title, it would be Service Disaster. My friend J and I decided to hit this place up Saturday night. It was later in the evening and I half expected to wait to be seated, but we were seated right away. (Thumbs Up!) Except that the table the hostess took us to had dirty drink glasses still sitting on the table. (Thumbs Down) We stood next to the table waiting for someone to wipe off the table, as the hostess had collected the glasses and walked away. I assumed she would be right back, but it was a server that noticed us standing and asked what we were waiting for before someone finally returned to wipe down the table. (Thumbs down for having to ask.) J and I each order a drink and a beer. I ordered a Blue Moon. This is relevant to the review. (Thumbs up for having Blue Moon!) The server returned with my tea, J's soda and his beer. And she walked away. Didn't take our order. A few minutes later she returned with a Blossom?? (Fried onion.) We asked where my beer was (Blue Moon) and told her we didn't order the Blossom. With a huff, the server pulled the Blossom from our table and walked away. (Thumbs down for the attitude.) She finally brought back my beer and walked away. At this point we have been seated for over 10 minutes and still have not ordered our dinner. Another 10 minutes or so goes by and another server approaches our table telling us she will be our server going forward as the previous waitress left for a family emergency. She told us our food would be out shortly and asked if we needed anything. We told her we still have not ordered any food. So she took our order. (Thumbs up for the new server who was super nice and apologetic.) A few minutes later she returns with the Blossom, again. (Thumbs down for the second Blossom and the fact that we had just told the server we had not ordered any food until just a few minutes ago when she took our order.) She took away the Blossom thing, although I feel like at this point she should have left it and comped it for us. I mean, what are they going to do with it?? While waiting for our dinner the manager approached us. (Thumbs up for being proactive.) Again she apologized for the problems we had and gave us the reasoning for the first server leaving. This was the same woman I had seen 30 minutes prior walking around the restaurant with a little girl. A little girl I first thought was lost, but then I found out was a family member and they were playing a game of some sort. (Thumbs up for encouraging a family environment. Thumbs down for being unprofessional.) Dinner was served. My ribs were amazing, and my sweet potato was delicious. My broccoli...well...it was broccoli with no seasoning. J's food was up to his liking as well. (Thumbs up for good eats.) The new server was attentive and brought us boxes and to go drinks. (Thumbs up for good service.) We paid the check and left. Ten minutes later I realized I left me phone at the restaurant. (I'd lose my head if it weren't attached.) We called the restaurant and were told they had not found my phone but we were welcome to come up and look. We headed back and arrived just after the restaurant closed at 11:00pm. We went back to our table where, in fact, my phone was not on the table. (BTW...looking under the tables I saw markers and crayons galore.) I happened to look across the restaurant and see someone with my phone in his hand. (It has a lime green case so I know it is mine.) I approached the gentleman and the manager, who asked me to describe my phone. I described it with a lime green cover to which the gentleman returned my phone to me. (Thumbs up for an honest staff.) I'm torn on my review because the initial service was bad and I feel that they could have done more to make that up to us. However, the new server and manager were great to deal with. And they let me back in after they closed to look for my phone. Not to mention the honesty of the staff. The food was great, the portions are huge. And there is that wonderful butter and bread they bring out. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the iffy service in the beginning. Hopefully I'll be able to change that next time around. read more
