Last couple of times I have been here, the food was incredibly salty. I'm not sure what happened, but was not that impressed.

Warm Texas welcome. Country music blaring. Big portions. The generous rolls are incredibly soft, and as plump and white as most of the patrons. The chili was hearty, flavorful, meaty, and clearly house-made (as are all their sides, I was told.) The 6oz sirloin, cheapest on the menu, was nonetheless tender, tasty, and well seasoned. The staff were friendly in a very genuine way, not giving any impression of a forced friendliness. All that for 13 bucks, and I have nothing to complain about. read more

What happened? Was really looking forward to our visit because we don't have one by us and this is my favorite steakhouse, great memories from when I was stationed in Texas. Was quite disappointed with our visit...rolls tasted like raw dough (honey butter was still good though), medium rare sirloin was well done and the seasoned rice was way too salty. Went with a group of 8, including 2 toddlers. Our waitress Amy was fast, attentive, paid attention to detail. Our food came fast, was perfect. The prime rib was good, the green beans side were the best green beans I've had in a while. read more

Service was ok. Server spent most of the time at the computer station facing away from her section and speaking with a colleague. Food did not meet expectations. I ordered Dallas Filet medium rare. It came out medium to medium well. I pointed this out to server who indicated that I could have sent it back; however, server did not check in with me until 8 minutes after my food had been delivered. These situations are easily remedied with training and proper oversight. read more

Caveat: This is based on a takeout order. Food is always better served at the restaurant, so factor that in to this review. I got the half rack of ribs, bread, and caesar salad. The ribs were cooked well, but seasoned poorly. Crispy corners with the meat falling off the bones, but it was rather bland and didn't have much sauce on it. The bread was good with the cinnamon butter and the salad was your average caesar. read more

Pretty mediocre food, and the drink was "meh". Probably won't go back. Wait time was pretty long, as well.

Prime rib is always my go to and it is always cooked to perfection. The service is always up to expectations.

Service was very good. Chicken fried steak was just right with the loaded baked potato. And it had a lively atmosphere.

The amount of waiting is insane.. and the wait time they tell isn't accurate by about 20 minutes.. the food however was delicious.. but again waited about 45 minutes for it to come out, and didn't bring salad until minutes before main meal came out... so that was a bummer. This place was pretty awful. Face masks were not required of guests, and the restaurant, which is supposed to only be at 75% capacity, had every table filled. The server was not attentive. Brought our water and said he'd be back to check on us. 10 minutes later, he took our drink order. 10 minutes later we went to the bar to get our drinks as he had never returned. My husband's Porterhouse was tough, except for the tenderloin. My meal was fine. I used the ladies room before we left. One of the servers had gone in to use the toilet. Food was way too salty, no butter on the baked potato, corn was cold and once I was served, couldn't get the attention of the two yahoos working behind the bar to get some butter and another drink. Also asked for ice water which never came. They didn't ask me once how my food was, got my order then both were far more interested in counting their tip money than their customers sitting in front of them. Her helper was complaining to her about another customer who left without a tip, instead of thinking to themselves "now why might that be, and maybe we should pay attention to customers and we might get a tip - duh"! Was disappointed by their unfriendliness. I shouldn't have tipped them 20%, wish I wouldn't have but I'm not like that. Absolutely one of the best Texas roadhouses on the map so far! Haven't had an unfriendly staff yet, and the food comes out delicious. The one time I did get a bad meal, which I ordered a steak medium and came out like an ol boot I did not notice the waiter watching but he was quick to address it and gladly refired a new steak for me! 10/10 go there! read more

Ordered takeout here on 4th of July since it seemed everything else has been closed. We were staying at the hotel across the street. When my husband picked up the food at 8:50p he brought it back and by the time we finished out appetizers that we got it was around 9:25p. Went in to eat my "medium rare" New York strip and it was completely raw. My husband ordered a burger and his was also completely raw. We tried to cal other 3/4 times but they didn't answer (they close at 10p) so we went to bed pretty hungry and disappointed. Only reason I'm giving 2 starts is when we did finally get ahold of them the manager was very apologetic and understanding and offered me a full refund. read more

Happy these guys don't blast the country music like other locations I've been to. If you want a cheap 6 oz steak for $10 you got it. Kids meals are also really affordable. Really enjoy getting a large beer, they've got Mountain Man on tap, and sharing a fried onion thing with my friends. I moved to Billings from Houston, Texas. Texas Road House has always been one of my favorite places to eat, so imagine how happy I was that they were here! However, since their shut down and re-opening due to COVID, I can honestly say that both the service and the food have suffered. Very much. I've tried repeatedly to go back. And every time, I've been disappointed. At one point, my boyfriend had his salad, finished it, and we were both served our meals before we got a beer (which we ordered BEFORE we put in our meal orders). Yet, I can see employees literally standing around. I even started a timer once. A manager walked past our table 4 times. Once he saw the timer (it was at 12 minutes), he immediately found a server. Apparently, no one told whoever or server was that they had a table. I've worked in the restaurant industry for 36 years. A 12 minute greet time is 100% unacceptable! We have tried multiple times since then, and we just won't go back. After the last visit when I ordered a medium rare prime rib and got a burnt end cut, the "manager" came over to explain to me that my food wasn't burnt, it was an "end cut". Very friendly staff I would give it 5, but my filet medallions, we're rather grisly, and fatty, not much meat to actually eat, that was disappointing, seasoned rice was really good, as was the peppercorn sauce that accompanied the filet The Jamaican Cowboy drink was really good! Ok, so I have had steaks around the world. Some great ones and some bad ones. I've never been overly impressed with the steaks at Texas Roadhouse, not that they were bad but it is a chain restaurant. Today we are staying in the Marriott next door and decided that we would eat here. We were quickly greeted and there was a wait but not long at all for a Saturday night. Once seated, Keleena was quick to come and get our order and was a excellent server! Off to a great start! I ordered the Dallas Filet and a loaded baked potato (and asked for a vat of sour cream).. the baked potato might actually have been the best one I have ever had, nice crisp to the skin with shaved sea salt and I actually had enough sour cream! haha.. now on to the steak.. ok my third roadhouse to review, been to the one in Pa. one in northern Idaho, now Billings. Have to say the one here in Billings was far better. My porterhouse steak was very good and great flavor. Have to admit I wasn't thrilled to go but it was our anniversary and wife like the food and I wanted to score points. my rub is the roadhouse waitresses are wannabee dancers or dancers who do recall that they are waitresses. The music is to high to talk to those sitting across from you. Well to my surprise this one wasn't like the other two. The music got cranked when the dancer or waitress started their routine. its bad enough the group of four on one side stopped their business get together because they couldnt be heard, even the laughing and joking oil field guys table of six stopped and sat just looking down until it was over and the two groups were back talking. The other 2 places Ive been the music stays cranked and its really nice when you leave. By far the greatest eatery on our vacation. We stopped here to eat on the way back to Tennessee. The woman who seated us was very friendly and asked if we had been here before- we said not this location, that we were from Tennessee. Our server was very warm and welcoming as well. We had plenty to drink the whole visit and endless rolls with amazing cinnamon butter. Our food was delicious. The manager came to our table and said he heard we were visiting and welcomed us.
