This place is the ABSOLUTE WORST!! I DO UNDERSTAND that we're going through COVID-19. However, I placed my ORDER for BREAD ONLY @ 6:19pm. I was told my order would be ready in about 5-10 minutes. Wwll .. needless to say, Ice called 2x since. The last time I called NO ANSWER, the phone rang for 20 minutes. Then the girl in the lot (after I've already been sitting for 30 minutes tells me to go park in a particular parking space. Once I drive around the parking lot to the space, there is already a vehicle parked there. No I'm even more irritated. So I continue to just sit and wait. After a few more minutes have gone by I ask the girls sitting in the chair outside when is someone going to assist me. S g e then states.... Well no one is going to help you with you sitting there. I started to her, where you told me to park there is a vehicle already there. I stated to her I placed an order over an HOUR AGO, FOR BREAD ONLY, how long does it take? The food was good! But when there is a busy day there to staff are not well trained to be prepared there very incompetent. I asked numerous times for our bread the waitress repeatedly lied. Let's be clear. Texas Roadhouse don't even deserve a star, but I had to put 1 star to write about my experience here. Let's began by talking about the horrible customer service that was given by Demetrius the manager . My family and I went to celebrate my nephews birthday. We had a party of 11. When we went to the desk we were told by Demetrius that they couldn't accommodate us because we had a party of 11. We asked to be separated as if we weren't together. Two different tables. We didn't even have to be seated by one another, we could be split 6 and 4 or however they wanted to do it. We were still told NO. He stated that since we came in and checked in as one party we could not be rechecked in as two different parties. Umm excuse me, I have never heard any such thing in my life. He went in to say that he couldn't seat us and that was that. He was very rude & unprofessional. First of all the food is not even good. We came because my nephew was celebrating his 13th birthday and this was the place he wanted to eat at. After leaving I called to talk to the general manager Jim. After talking with him, I see why his staff acts the way they do (unprofessional) He told me that those are his rules because large parties don't tip, they cause trouble & make his servers cry. I explained to him we asked to be separated, he didn't care ...he told me to call whomever I like to report what happen. He actually hung up on me. I called corporate and filled a complaint. Call-ahead seating seems to accomplish nothing. Zero wait-time became a half-hour in the 15 minutes it took to drive there. TAKE RESERVATIONS!! Food results mixed. Bone in ribeye was perfect. Two in the party ordered grilled chicken dishes; one was like chicken jerky, the other perfectly done. The waitress was delightful but the salads arrived just in time for desert. Chain steakhouses can be hit or miss. This is the first time I tried this particular chain. I've seen it from the road and it looked ok. I got inside and it looked ok. And then I ordered my favorite cut, the ribeye, and I was pleasantly surprised. The steak wasn't the best I've had, but it was a good cut, cooked medium rare (the only way) and tasted good. Came in on a Friday night so we expected it to be packed. We weren't really expecting much after walking through the door to incredibly rude hostesses. I promise a smile or two won't kill you especially when you're the first thing paying customers see and talk to. We stood directly in front of them for 7 minutes and neither of them could put down their phones or stop gossiping to have us seated. And then had the nerve to catch an attitude when I tried to get their attention. The only positive about our experience, hence the two stars, was our phenomenal waitress. She was so attentive and friendly even when the entire restaurant was slam packed from graduation dinners. The food is pretty... Meh. I ordered the catfish dinner which was sadly bland but at least crunchy and my friend ordered the 11 ounce sirloin, medium rare -- which took 2 refires to get right... And it was exxxtremely salty in the end he didn't even bother taking the rest to go. The food could be better but at least our one waitress was GREAT. I had a nice dining experience here yesterday. Our wait time was short and my server Otto was very attentive. First the rolls....so hot, fresh and buttery, I love them! I ordered the Country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and cream gravy with a house salad. All where very tasty and fresh. My food came out pretty quickly with the restaurant being crowded. I took away one star, because my daughter's chicken finger meal came out about 10 minutes after my dinner arrived and the chicken fingers were a little over cooked. i will never order from this location ever again :). made a togo order and never received the text. thats fine, called the number to let the restaurant know i was outside. the hostess placed me on hold, indefinitely. thats fine. ive worked in restaurants... it gets busy. i hang up after no one answered... wait another ten mins and call back. she immediately tries to put me on hold again and i tell her i was just placed on hold and no one answered at all. ive been here for thirty minutes at this point and have received ZERO service :) just the occasional employee going out of their way to avoid eye contact. id just like to pay for my food and leave. she then just says, ok hold on a second... then hangs up the phone :-D. i was sitting in the curbside pick up space for thirty minutes. not one person came to my car or asked what my order was and when i called to inform them i was there i was hung up on. so no thanks. theres nothing more this location can do for me. this is the second time i was left waiting in the curbside pickup space with no service whatsoever. they will never get a third chance from me :). read more

Visited this place today and arrived @ 8:30pm. We were given a buzzer to keep track of when our table was ready for a party of 8. After waiting an hour, the waiting area was empty except our party still waiting to be seated, we were told the hostess confused our party with another party that was seated. Instead of apologizing and accommodating us we dealt with attitudes from the hostesses. After speaking with the manager we waited another 20 minutes to be seated. Our waiter Thai, was wonderful and her upbeat attitude really lightened our moods. When the check came the manager didn't even comp anything to compensate for the bad service. His excuse was :we waited as long as everyone else" which was bologna. The food was good, however I will not be visiting Bowie's location again. read more

I normally love going to Texas Roadhouse, but the service was slow. The waitress was slow to refilling our drinks and the food took forever to come out. My friend asked for his burger to be cooked medium well, but the burger came out too dry to eat. Lemons were also asked for multiple times for our waters, but the waitress never brought them. To add, a side was missing from an order and had to be brought out late. Overall, I was very disappointed with the service. I will not be taking my kids here. No pen. read more

Tasty prime rib, rib steak was also tasty. Added mushrooms to both, very flavorful. Service was quick and courteous. Food was hot and was as expected. The third member of our party had ribs. I typically visit this Texas Roadhouse in Bowie, MD. I have noticed over the last 2-years or so (pre-COVID) that the indoor hostess aren't friendly in the least. We are back to some restrictions due to COVID and some people are unhappy or anxious and therefore just aren't very friendly. I just entered this location and although 3 workers were present (1 was working with customer ahead of me so I didn't expect a reaction). no one even looked at me but they continued to chit chat. When it was finally my turn to check in the young lady didn't even look up at me but instead said while looking down something like..,.the wait is 20 to 30-minutes,. Thankfully she did add "Is that fine". The 2 star rating is also deserving because as I waited to check in, I witnessed a dad leaving with a small child in his arms and holding the hand of a toddler as well as the baby bag. He took the time to say "thanks. You all have a good night". First, one of them could have gotten the door but no one did and secondly, I heard him and I have hearing problems. Customer service could be better. Good thing is the wait staff are typically at least good and so is the food. Once seated food is usually pretty fasts. Curbside is terrible, food always slow and order is usually wrong. read more

The only good thing I can say about this place is that it's cheap. I was able to feed 6 adults with alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and appetizers and 5 kids for $150. The food was less than average like seriously everything,except the bread that was BOMB! I ordered steak and ribs, the steak was soft but extremely flavorless. The ribs tasted old and reheated. The strawberry margarita with the extra shot tasted virgin. Even the salad was bad, like how can you mess a Caesar salad it only has 4 ingredients and I was missing two. They don't have Mac and cheese or any comfort sides besides the loaded mashed potatoes those were everything!!! Overall this experience was awful I've had better food at IHOP. So I've been to this establishment exactly four times. First time was on a busy Friday, no issue. Second time was the day before Thanksgiving right around 5PM; no issue. Third time was on a rainy Friday night and after waiting about 10 minutes, with no one greeting us, I left. That experience left a bad taste in my mouth, because the hostesses were just sitting around, doing nothing, jawjacking among themselves and no one ever greeted us. It was crowded yes (which we expected) but to not even be greeted and leave us standing there is just unacceptable. Fast forward to yesterday evening. It's a Tuesday at roughly 9PM. I decided to give this place another try. What a mistake. We came in and we had to ask to be seated. Secondly, when we were seated, we were seated at a table where the floor had been not been swept. I mean it was unreal, for that hostess to sit us down, (and for someone to subsequently come behind her and place dinner rolls) at this table. I just about lost my appetite. The floor had french fries, peanut shells and small white containers for condiments and just remnants of food, and a lot of it, everywhere. I immediately asked could this area be swept before we sat down and she said yes, with an attitude; like I was in the wrong for even asking. I sat my family down at another table and we waited to be served. I waited about five to ten minutes. No waitress or waiter came to wait on us. I then gave it five more minutes, and we decided if no one came to serve us that we were going to get up and leave. Unfortunately that is what we ended up having to do. As I was leaving, I explained to the hostess (that seated us ) how no one came to wait on us and that a Manager should know. She pointed behind me and stated "there she go right there" (like she didn't even want to deal with my issue). I didn't ask for a manager, just wanted someone to know what occurred). So I turned to speak with the young lady she pointed to and I asked her if she was the Manager. She stated "yes". I told her what had occurred and all she could say (very disinterested might I add) was "well where were you sitting". I informed her that where we sitting was not as important as the lack of customer service we received and that it was very unacceptable to be seated at that table and to have been in this establishment for 15 minutes with no one coming by our table to at the very least take our drink order. She started to give a half apology because she could see that I was seemingly upset (and I guess she maybe realized that I was right) and before she could get her statement out, I just walked out the door. I will NEVER frequent this place again. It is very evident that several members of this staff (from Managers on down) need a good course in customer service and restaurant etiquette and cleanliness. read more

I went here with my boyfriend, Dad, and boyfriend's parents on Father's Day. Any holiday you have to expect crowds at any restaurants. And that is what we found. Calling ahead of time to try and make a reservation didn't help either, as they don't take them. However, they did take a "call ahead" where you call an hour before your visit and they put your table priority over people who just walk in. A bit strange... but it worked out. We got there and despite huge lines and crowds of impatient diners we were seated within 15 minutes. The wait was made even more tolerable since we could stand at the bar and order drinks. It was a bit of a small area though, but I can understand since it's a sit down restaurant, not a bar, bar. Once we were seated our waiter came to greet us. He seemed less than enthused about everything. Either he hates his job or he was having a bad day. Kind of makes the experience less fun when your server isn't an enjoyable person, but we ordered some yummy food nonetheless. Appetizers came out first - Rattlesnake Bites (fried jalapenos and cheese) and our salads. MY GOD, was this stuff good. The fried jalapenos were delish, something I'd love to try and make at home. Usually, a salad is pretty mundane, but these were so good. Even with some of us ordering house and some Caesar, they all had us commenting how good they were. We all ordered steaks. We're at Texas Roadhouse, duh. I got a filet which was not the best I've ever had but it was good. I'm not a fan of the charring they do to the outside which leaves that burnt sort-of flavor. I would try to order it without that in the future. Everyone else felt about the same - not the best steaks ever but definitely good eats. The "loaded" potatoes was great with bacon and cheese on top. An annoying point of the evening would be when they did their little birthday tradition. The birthday person sits on a saddle while the waiters and waitresses SCREAM their chant. A bit much but kindof cute if you're into obnoxious things like that. I would definitely go back to try more appetizers and try out another filet. read more

Well I want to start by saying that I really want to give this place a 5. This is one of my favorite places to go. The food is not that expensive, but it is good food. The atmosphere is kind of nice, you know a little country music. Every now and again they'll get up and do some country line dancing. Or if you like you can just sit and watch a football game. It's just an all-around nice place. However the reason 4 four stars rather than five stars is that this particular location, I find to be very slow. I've been to other locations and service is faster, but at this location it's just pretty slow. You get the bread on the table, and thank God! for that because you'll be waiting a while. Now you may say maybe it's because it's very crowded? well I think not. At this particular location I've never had to wait to be seated. When I look around there are empty tables maybe they're short-staffed..humm I don't know but after your order is placed it takes a while to get your food. If you want your steak done well you're willing to wait, but I don't know I think waiting a half an hour for food is quiet long. My son gets his steak rare (looking like the cow is going to say moo) so I mean come on it shouldn't take 30 min. Like I said the food is really really good once you have it in front of you. Again maybe they're short-staffed, I don't know but I have to give them a four rather than the 5 that I really want to give them. My ribs eye and rib combo was so so good. Loaded baked potato was great and the salad is always fresh and crisp. I had the pleasure of dinning with my 7 and 9 year old grandsons. I have to say the junior size meals were just right...they had chicken tenders and cheese burgers and drinks. No complaints about the food only about the wait time ie..the service. read more

The first thing I was offered was a few questionable looking cuts of steak that did not look like they were held at the proper temperatures. Honestly, this place was FILTHY the night I came here for the first time. I took two corners and everything ont he floor told me to run like hell. Tissues and chicken wings were running amock on two pathways at least. Crap was everywhere. If the front looks like this I can only imagine what the back looks like. I did not even venture to eat here, with all this eColi and noroviruses I simply cannot take the chance. I walked out. Management, please sweep up the chicken bones. I always enjoy this place but it just has gone down hill service wise. lastnight my family and I ate there and it just took forever for everything, drinks especially. my sister literally waited 40 mins for a cocktail and then another 40 mins for the manager to complain about it. I mean i understand the busyness of restaurants of this nature, especially on weekends, but there still has to be a good balance of service. I don't expect perfection but at least let me know you are trying to give us good service. other than that, the food was fine and the rolls are always my favorite. This was one of the worse Texas Roadhouse I've been too. After waiting for a table, we were walked to a table that was not cleared off from the previous patrons. The seater(with our bread basket) left us standing in the serving area for about 5 minutes until I asked for a manager. The seater still with bread basket in his hand continued to walk around forgetting we were waiting fir him to return. After requesting for a manger we were still waiting in the way for a manger to come. A manager finally came and I explained that we were walked to our table and had been waiting for the table we were walked to be cleaned for over 5 minutes. Manager stated that it was acceptable and will get someone to clean the table now. After getting the table cleaned, the seater came to the table with the same bread basket that he had been walking around with (ugh...)and placed it on our table. Disgusting!!! We told the seater we did not want that bread since he had been walking around with it in his hand. We waited for another 15 minutes for a waiter/waitress to acknowledge us. Again, had to find the manager to explain about the bread and to ask who was serving our table. She stated that she was not aware that someone had not served us. After another 5 minute wait the manager returned to let us know that she found our waitress and does not know why she was not serving us. We had to request for water, new bread since we had not been served, and went on and placed our order. Finally after another 10 minute wait, waitress finally came over to wait on us...RIDICULOUS!!! Food came out fast after requesting general manger information (which was never given). Our food was actually hot and fresh but since we went through all that we really didn't enjoy our meal. We packed it up and requested the check. We had to request something off our check due to the poor service we had. I really really like the food at Texas Roadhouse! That is the primary reason that I will not stop eating at this restaurant. However; the car side to go service is really not that good. This isn't the first time that I've sat in my car for over 15 minutes before someone even came outside to check. Now, I've had to wait an additional 15 minutes for luke warm food. While I understand it's a holiday this has happened on more than one occasion. I hope that the management will find a better process for serving car side customers. read more

I been here twice for the carside pick up service and was well pleased. Most restaurants tend to be better when you dine in but I really enjoy the quality of the pick up service. The food was hot and fresh and the waitress made sure we had our bread, silverware, etc all package neatly to go. I'll definitely go back and maybe dine in. read more

My company PYNKE had a fundraiser here and their food is fab! The service is great and the manager was awsome.

I havent been here in years but nothing has changed at this location. For some disturbing reason reservations are not accepted, and instead they give an estimate of when the party will be seated. Our estimate for the party of my 10 was 345. The entire party was here at 345 and tbey said it would be an ESTIMATED 40 additional minutes.
