Texas Roadhouse here in Boynton Beach had all the makings of being 5 stars. I liked everything about it. From the service, to the setting and atmosphere, to all the side items, bread and butter appetizer...... The only poor element about this place (at least for me) was my 6 oz. sirloin steak!! Ugh...I mean, the steak was so chewy and tough, bordering on the verge of being inedible! But....I'm not the type of person to complain, so I let it go. In all, I'd just assume I got a bad piece of meat and chuck it all up to a 1 time phenomenon. Let me talk about why I did like everything else about Texas Roadhouse... I met 2 friends for dinner here the other evening. We got a table right away at 7pm. We were served their signature rolls and flavored butter right away. The rolls were hot and fresh and the butter melted as I spread it along. Delicious! Our server....I believe her name was Claire (she could have been in training) but she was terrific. She got us our drinks and gave us some time to talk and hang out before ordering. No rush whatsoever. Claire really was 5 stars for sure, as friendly and accommodative as you can find in a server. So...I got the 6 oz. sirloin with shrimp for $18.95 and it came with 2 side items. I chose mashed potatoes with brown gravy and corn. The shrimp was flame grilled and had charcoal flavoring....just the way I like it. The mashed potatoes had plenty of gravy and tasty, along with satisfactory corn. My only was issue was my steak which I was barely able to digest. I decided to take the steak home with me but ultimately just threw it away after 1 day. My 1 buddy got a bacon cheeseburger for $12.95. He asked for the cookery on the burger to be well done along with crispy bacon. Yet, his cheeseburger seemed to be medium rare and his bacon was quite soft....a disappointment for him. Finally, my 2nd friend got an 8oz. sirloin w/ 2 sides. She was happy with her steak in regards to the tenderness but it was overcooked. Maybe that was supposed to be for my friend with his cheeseburger and the cooks got the preparation styles mixed up. Overall, my friends and I are easy going people. We never complain. We had a pleasant experience here at Texas Roadhouse, we were just disappointed with a few aspects of our meals.....especially how tough my steak was. Still, Claire took great care of us and we weren't rushed even when we stayed till closing (10pm) chatting and catching up in good conversation. Although there was talk about maybe next time going to Longhorn Steakhouse, I would return to Texas Roadhouse and give it another try. I'm not much of a 'steak' guy but I tasted my wife's well done steak and I was super impressed. I've since visited 3x and was unable to get that taste again and have been disappointed getting them to 'char'' the steak the way I prefer. I only like my steaks super well done and while I know most don't like their steaks this way, - I do. Since I've tried multiple times and requested well done and received normal steaks I will no longer visit Texas Roadhouse: I don't have confidence in getting my steak well done. I will give them 4 stars as I believe most people will like their steaks: it's a slight cut above Outback Steakhouse. Don't order a 12 oz. Ribeye. You'll get an 8 oz. Ribeye. One third of my steak was fat. I understand that ribeye is riddled with fat which makes it moist and tasty The one I had last night had a 2 inch round glob of fat on the side of it. Texas Roundhouse takes pride in their hand cut steaks? This should have been trimmed. When I showed my server, Taylor, she told me that all their ribeye steaks are like that and, if I didn't want fat, I should've ordered a different steak. I told her to show it to the manager. She later told me that she showed the manager who said the exact same thing. The manager never even bothered to come to my table. When I got home, I sent a text to TexasRoadhouse.com & I rec'd a call from the mgr., Ione, who told me that all their ribeyes are like that with 10% fat. We've always enjoyed our dining experience at Texas Roadhouse because both the service and the food are excellent. With the current take-out-only restrictions, we were pleased to see that nothing has changed in terms of great food and fine service. Our order consisted of a BBQ chicken breast dinner and the interestingly named "road kill" chopped steak dinner. Both entrees included delicious steak fries and the just-right spicy chili. The food was properly prepared to our specifications, including an extra side of the delightful Texas Roadhouse BBQ sauce. The cheese for the chili was packed separately so we could combine it when we were ready to eat it. And the rolls were as fresh as always. Our only disappointment was that the online ordering process didn't allow for the use of a gift card. We paid with a credit card and when we went to pick up our order we noticed that the staff was taking onsite payments. I guess we'll just have to order again soon so we can use our gift card. Seated immediately. Server took long time to get to my table as he had a few tables that were ordering. Server was very good.steak 12 oz ribeye was good, baked potato ok not great, vegetables eh not so good. Overall experience was good, but for overall because the sides were not so good the price of the meal was high. Before leaving the restaurant I used the men's room and that gets a big fat zero. Sorry for the late posting. Went for Sunday lunch before the rush. It is a nice size restaurant plenty of seating and parking is not an issue. Had the Sangria Margarita and Steak tips with mash. I recommend the sweet potato with marshmallows. They seemed to have a good number of waiters so service was not an issue. All staff said hello when passing by. We've been the many different Texas Roadhouse restaurants across the country and normally they're pretty good. I love the atmosphere inside and that you always get a bucket of peanuts on your table. For dinner I ordered the ribeye steak which came with two sides I had the Caesar salad and the baked sweet potato and you get warm rolls which are great. I was disappointed with the rib eye steak it was juicy but wasn't much left to eat once you got all the fat cut off of it. The service wasn't good this night the server must have been new and was really slow and forgetful. I'm giving them three stars because I know they have better steaks than this,you have many different cuts to choose from. I've tried many of them and they are moderately priced. read more

I recently went for the steak special and it was just fine. No complaints. The service was good too. The only thing that was a disappointment was the fried pickels app. We ordered to share at the table. When it arrived we all dug in and then my daughter who despises the taste and smell of fish, detected the strong flavor coming from the fried pickels. Having had years of restaurant experience, I realized that they don't fry their fish separately, but share the grease with everything that gets fried. It didn't bother me as much as my daughter, and it kind of ruined her meal. The fish taste was very strong. We didn't make a big deal about it, but she has no desire to go back. I still would because for the price, the steak is a good deal. Not prime, but still good and a fun night out. Just hope the chef-cooks are mindful when using the fryers to fry the fish in a separate fryer. read more

I have been a customer here for many years. Haven't been here in the last couple months been out of town. My wife and I came here tonight. We always like to sit at the bar and have a tall bud light draft beer in an ice cold mug. We got our beers the mugs for not ice cold and the beer tasting nothing like Bud Light mention it to the bartender she said she would check into it said it was Bud Light. It was definitely not. she really did not care. on my way out I asked to speak to a manager and here came a 20 something year old manager. I explain to him the situation he said he would check into it and that was about it. He really didn't care either. Its unbelievable. They told me they have no more bread. Went back to my vehicle to look over the contents and it was missing sauces for the burgers. Went back in at 9:05 for ranch and honey mustard and still no bread. Most people tell you the bread is the best part about TR. The young kid at the front said I can't get any money back cause the bread is free. Yet online the family meal includes four breads. Oh man oh man this has to be one of the weirdest restaurant experiences I've ever had. Mike was our server, he first came off very nice and polite. But soon he began to rush us to order our food even though we asked him to give us a few more moments, and he proceeded to still come around at least two more times to ask if we were ready within a five minute span. We ordered our food. We ordered some drinks from the bar. By then we had eaten the bread that they gave us when we first were seated. I asked for more bread, but Mike had his own opinion about us asking for more bread. He proceeded to tell us that we should not get more bread because we would not have room for our actual meal if we ate more bread. So I took it as took his advice however, I did not understand who he he thought he was to tell us that. Granted the bread is free. The food was good no complaints. Everything tasted Delicious. We ordered a lot of food so we asked for a to go box including for the chili that was left over. He came back with a Styrofoam container and I asked if he could give me a cup with a lid kind of like what they give you when you order food to go. He argued with me and said the container would not hold the amount of chili that was in my bowl leftover. And refused to bring me a different container. As he walked away I rolled my eyes and another server happened to see my face. She then walked over to us and said if you need anything let me know and I said yes actually, I would like you to bring me one of those containers that are made for soups and liquids. She reached over to the counter (since we were seated right next to their kiosk/ordering counter). I was able to get all my chili in the container. If you're a steak lover, this is the place to go. Texas Roadhouse offers call ahead seating. I always call ahead as this location gets slammed at all times. It shaves off 20 minutes of waiting in the restaurant probably. With the selection of cuts Texas Roadhouse offers, you'll be sure to find something for you. However, I know some friends and I prefer to come here because of their rolls! Oh their endless and complimentary soft rolls are what I want to fill up on. Accompanied with cinnamon butter, you won't be able to resist asking for basket after basket. Walking in, you will also notice that the floor is covered in peanut wrappings. Something my son likes to do since he can't do that anywhere else! Eat peanuts out the huge bin by the door and throw his wrapping on the floor. I believe Tuesdays are their kids nights but they have an amazing night for kids! Their kids meal are only $0.99 and they have a balloon artist that comes in to blow up balloons for tip only. Besides feeling great at the restaurant, their food is just what you want to drown yourself in. I absolutely love their potato skins. Baked potatoes with butter, cheese, bacon and sour cream is a great combo for an appetizer. I've tried a dozen steaks here but my favorite would have to be their ribeye cut as it has more fat to it that makes it a flavorful juicy steak. Their sides are the best and reminds me of sides from a bbq specialty restaurant! I am a huge fan of their buttered corn and green beans. I can also say that the staff seems to all really enjoy their job. Their positive attitude and energy when announcing someone's birthday always gets me so pumped. They also line dance. I've always loved Texas Roadhouse so I was beyond excited to find out there was another one open in the area! First, the unlimited hot buttery soft bread with Cinnamon butter is enough reason to come. But also there food especially their steaks and ribs are so delicious. I was going to get my usual sirloin or filet but my friend Emily T. suggested I go for the Rib eye and I am sooo glad I listened. It was bursting with flavor! It is definitely not as lean but that's what made it even more heavenly! Peanuts that you can throw on the floor are also a bonus hehe. Both my husband and I have worked in the restaurant industry for years in the past, so we understand that not everyone has good days, but we still try and tip 20% no matter what. It's Friday! Yippee! My family and I went here for lunch and it was so good. We were greeted by the friendly staff and sat down immediately. I was dreading a wait since it has been slammed every time I drove by here since its grand opening last month. Once we were seated, we had a bucket of shelled peanuts and a basket of rolls with cinnamon butter to start with. The rolls were nice and soft and the peanuts were not too salty. I got the pulled pork dinner with the signature BBQ sauce and it came with two sides. The loaded baked potato and corn went well with the pork. It came with two small pieces of garlic toast. I don't think we could have got enough bread if we would have asked for more ;) In fact, I would get this meal again in a heart beat. It was just 'effin juicy and delicious. My husband loved the smokehouse burger and my son nibbled on one of the mini cheeseburgers and fries that came with his meal. The peanuts are very addicting, so be prepared to eat these before and after a meal. Lots of them. Our waitress was friendly. Despite it being busy and loud, she took our order and got our food out in a reasonable amount of time. The staff did a crazy dance one time during our visit there. I don't know what the hell the celebration was, but I liked it. It was fun, different, and entertaining. My son squealed with joy when he heard them singing and dancing. They got a open kitchen, so you're able to see the chefs cooking and it was a cool vibe with the roadhouse decor and the welcoming staff. Come hungry and you will not be disappointed. My son and I come here every two weeks for dinner. We love to relax and just catch up with each. We order two steaks, his came out perfect. My steak was way over cooked. Our Server Antwan was horrible. We asked for regular butter for our rolls 3 times - which he kept forgetting. Once he brought our drinks, he disappear. Could not find him anywhere in the place. Asked another server to find him. Another server had to come over and refill our drinks and bring out the ranch dressing and the A-1 Sauce we asked for. Antwan had orginally brought out an empty bottle of A1-Sause. Really? Just holding the bottle you could tell it was completely empty. He never once came back to our table to check up on us to see if we needed anything. Even at the end of this horrible dinner, we had to ask another server to bring a to go box. As we were leaving, we looked around and still did not see Antwan anywhere in the place. How do you expect a good tip if you are no where to be found. If I wanted to wait on myself, I would have just stay home and cooked. read more

Our waiter could not speak clearly and we had to tell him to speak up..The food was subpar.No plates were ever removed and they charged $3.00 just to pour a glass of wine, ridiculous and it was taken off the tab. It was so loud in there with so many unruly kids no one could hear themselves talk.
