Beyond the darkness (which is perfectly Okay), the ambience was loud and obnoxious - like an MCL Cafeteria on Acid. I ordered the NY Strip and my mate ordered a sirloin, both medium rare. My first bites were overdone, BUT - the main portion of this 1" 14 oz steak was done to order (it's DAMN HARD to cook thick flanks of steak evenly, esp. with the high temps of most resto grils). The steak was what you'd expect, nothing fancy - but mostly because the cuts themselves didn't seem pre-marinated; the taste reminded me of Bonanza or Ponderosa (although Ponderosa usually beats their steaks into total submission before serving, so you don't get that denture-riendly soft-chewyness). We didn't complain about our meals; there was no reason to. However, our server was FANTASTIC. I didn't get her name, but she was rewarded for her efforts: 25 PERCENTER! Can this experience be improved or solved? Not unless the Mgr. does two things: work on the quality of the cuts (or pre-marinate/salt-pepper to fix the comparatively bland taste. 2) Turn down the music. It's too damn loud. Otherwise, the patio area was fantastically clean and so, too, was the restaurant. I enjoy Texas Roadhouse mainly because of it's convenient location. TIP: Try Logans or Longhorn on 256. I was visiting this area and ordered curbside takeout online from this location. Two different hostesses literally ignored me and served the cars behind us. When I called the restaurant, they said they would bring my food out when "THEY were ready". The person on the phone was rude and unsympathetic as two more hostesses ignored us literally sitting at the curbside pickup. When they finally brought our food, they offered no apologies, forgot one of the sides to one of my meals, and literally dunked croutons in my container of salad dressing (after I specifically asked for no croutons in my salad). I usually enjoy this restaurant and typically go to the one near my house. How I was treated at this particular location was appalling. UPDATE: After leaving a few messages with corporate, I finally got a call back from the "manager" of this location. After fully explaining the situation to him, he continued to make excuses for the rudeness and poor service and was rather condescending himself. When I asked him to stop making excuses for the overt unprofessionalism of his employees, he said, "I'm sorry you feel that way" and hung up the phone in my ear. On June 5th we tried to order online at 9:02pm. The order would not process online, so we tried calling the restaurant to place a to go order and waited in the phone queue during the 18 minute drive to the restaurant to place a to go order. They never answered the phone. Apparently because they close at 10:00pm and there is a 1 hour cutoff for online ordering, we missed the cutoff by a few minutes to order online. Once we got inside the restaurant we were told that the host stand could not take orders after 9:30 PM. We informed the hostess that it was 9:26 PM and she said she still could not help us. We would have to go to the bartender to order. We placed our to go order with the bartender, and she was very helpful, the only bright spot in this whole ordeal. Kudos to her. We ordered a salmon dinner, 3 orders of sliders, a cactus blossom, and an order of steak tips. At 10:00pm we only had the salmon and sliders, they forgot our fries. After the fries came out we realized that we were also missing the steak tips. 10 minutes later the "manager," who was sitting at a table in the bar area doing paperwork during most of this ordeal, came out from the kitchen and asked if we still wanted the steak tips. We told her of course, because we already paid for them. We finally left the restaurant at 10:20pm. Do not waste your time with this poorly run restaurant!! After reading other reviews, which we should have done before ordering, it's no wonder we couldn't get through because they never answer the phone, as reported by many, many people. The "manager," I think her name was April, who we believe is more a shift lead was clearly over her head and didn't have the experience or training to handle a situation like this. 3 of the 4 people in our group work in the foodservice industry and we were shocked by what we witnessed and went through just to patronize this location. We frequent Texas Roadhouse often and let's be real, it's totally because of the rolls and cinnamon butter! This time we decided that we were going to try something different and boy am I happy we did!! I got the grilled shrimp and the flavor was awesome!!! Not to salty. Shrimp wasn't overcooked! Perfectly pink and juicy! I also order the apple pie and they gave me a whopping slice!!! Sadly, I only ate two bites because for some reason they put chocolate syrup on it and I was not a fan!! I have been craving apple pie so I was kinda upset about that! Another thing I love about Texas is you get so much food so I'm usually guaranteed to have leftovers. My leftovers reheated perfectly! I honestly think it might have been better today! My boyfriend ordered the grilled pork chops and OMG!!! You would of thought we ate at a 5 star restaurant. They are phenomenal! Open for business with social distance observed, shield on booth backs, separate entrance and exits, curb side pickup, carry out, and delivery. Waited almost an hour to be seated, even though we called in at 3 for a 6:30 dinner. Drinks were good, cold, and since we sat in the bar we didn't wait for those. The appetizers were fresh: fried pickles good, onion blossom good. Our party had a chicken salad which was huge and fresh, a burger that was cooked perfectly, two porterhouses mentioned below. One was ordered medium, the other medium well. The one who ordered medium got his well done, dry as a bone, tough as shoe leather. Mine was a perfect medium well. Both were very salty. On November 20, 2024 I went to The New Albany Texas Roadhouse. My family and I got there about 6:30pm. I ordered a 16 ounce Prime Rib, my wife ordered barbecue chicken and steak, finally my daughter ordered chicken fingers and fries. After waiting for 45 minutes after ordering the food our waitress told me that the restaurant was out of prime rib. I was very disappointed because I should've been told that when I first ordered the food. However, I asked the waitress to speak with the manager whose name was ShannonWhen she came to our table she said, whats wrong. She knew what was wrong, she said that she told the waitress to tell me that the restaurant was out of prime rib. She told me some excuses that didn't have anything to do with me. She asked if I wanted something else and I asked her for a 20 ounce ribeye. She didn't say anything about a discount or comping the cost of my meal for the way I was inconvenienced. I was very uncomfortable that after my family received their food I was waiting for 15 minutes. This was unacceptable and her customer service was beyond horrible. I asked for her name and the name of the general manager. She provided me the information and said the general manager's name was in front of the door. In addition to my catatonic restaurant experience my daughter sent her food back and it was deducted from my bill also my wifes steak was not prepared properly. A very poor experience. My boyfriend and I love this place. Not just the food which is always great, but the service we have received the last 2 times there. I'm going to brag on Alana, our server for a moment. The food was decent but the service was bad. I had a pickup order. It was raining and the pickup window had no cover. I stood out there after ringing the bell for a couple minutes and when no one came another customer and I decided to go in and wait. The ladies working the window got an attitude saying we were supposed to go to the window. I apologized saying I didn't want to stand in the rain waiting. Rather than walk up to me to get my name for the order, she shouted across room at me. Worst ever experience I wish I could give a zero star at Reynoldsburg location on 1/28/24 we waited close to half an hour to just get greeted and get our drink order and it took another half at least to come in. Then we order an appetiser it took good 15-20 minutes to come than when our waitress Maggie decided to come and took our food order the food took over for just all 3 of our steaks to be cold and not cooked properly. My son order Sirloin and I ordered Ribeyes and they both should be rare but it was almost well done. my husband ordered a well done bone in ribeye ( and not to mention how expensive that piece of meat is it) his steak was borderline raw. When we asked for the manager twice even that manager was looking at our table almost all the time we wear there, we waited another 20 min just for the manager to walk over and offer no help. We really had an especial night we want to celebrate an especial event in our family but thanks to the no help manager and the waitress they messed up the night for us. Let me start by saying I love Texas Roadhouse BUT, To-Go is NOT the way to go . . EVER. Placed an order for 2 SALADAS, and a kids meal. Waited an hour and 30 minutes. For said Order. Tried to Called MULTIPLE times to cancel order after having already waited that long. Called a total of 4 times. 3/4 tries the call rang and rang then disconnected.. and the only time they actually answered they put us on hold and then proceeded to hang up after about 13 minutes on hold. Not only did we go to the pick up window to see what was taking so long. The girl at the window didn't even go into the kitchen to check if the order was remotely close to being ready, to at least give us a heads up on how much longer it would be. I understand it's Sunday night and it gets busy, okay that's fine, but To-Go is supposed to be the faster option.. you'd have better and faster chance of getting food as a dine in guest. I mean what is not to love? They have steak, ribs, chicken, beer, peanuts, sports, and friendly waitresses. This place has it all. My family and I love going here and I usually get the Sirloin steak meal deal. I get 10 ounce steak, baked potato, and house salad. Can't go wrong with it. Their hot rolls and honey butter even gets my kids (not with me this time) to make this a first choice when we are near one of these. We ordered so much food it was disgusting for 4 guys. The proof we enjoyed it a lot was I didn't get any picks of anyone else's steaks. I got a phone call which stalled me from destroying mine. My filet was cooked perfectly! The only low points was the peanuts are stale, the menus were disgustingly dirty, I had to request wipes there was so much sauce on all of them from other guests. And then the main floors are filthy. So Im not a big fan of corporate chain restaurants, but I felt like the service and food at Texas roadhouse was pretty good. Texas roadhouse has wild Wednesday which includes an 8 oz choice sirloin with 2 sides for $10.99 all day. My sirloin was cooked perfect to my request and my house salad was GINORMOUS and my loaded sweet potato delicious. There were 7 of us in our party and we were all pleased with our entree choices. Our server was fantastic, attentive and kept our drinks refilled constantly. The only negative is that the music was pretty loud, which I dont normally mind..it couldve been turned down a few decibels. And the drinks were okay, but pretty weak in alcohol content. I was treated so poorly at this restaurant on Sunday November 5th 2023. My order number was 22352465026498560. I ordered 2 dozens bread as usual and when I went to pick it up, I was told that someone had already picked up my order. The cashier said an older gentleman picked up my order "maybe your father in law" she said. Mind you, my father in law died 15years ago. I don't even have an ohio phone number so how could someone pick up my order?The staff at the pickup window was so rude and I felt so embarrased. I showed the manager all the text messages I have received from Texas road house since the beginning of the year. My children and I go there every Sunday after church..almost like a tradition and I have not had issues before.I explained to her that I work as a pharmacist and would never lie because of $10 bread. Long story short, they agreed to give me a new pan of bread and when I opened it, I was disgusted. They looked like something that I wouldn't even give my dog. They were literally thrown in there, not arranged, some were upside down and half of them were burnt. The best way to explain it is that they decided to give me what they wanted to throw in the garbage. In addition, the foil pan was not lined per usual. I went back to the window and asked them politely to give me a fresh set because the ones they gave me were burnt. A customer was at the pickup window and she also confirmed that they were burnt. The manager came again and was said that's what they were supposed to look like. At this point, I was so frustrated and I was in tears. I was treated unfairly and unjustly. I ended up giving the bread back to her and I walked away. I didn't even ask for my money back. By the time this was over, I had spent almost an hour there. Typing this up is making me emotional because it is like reliving that whole experience again. Note that it is not about the $10, it was how I was treated. There was an African American cashier at the window that also witnessed the interactions..she was the only that looked at me with compassion(she was the one I showed the burnt set)If I was a different skin color, I don't think I would have been treated that way. We arrived in the middle of a dinner rush on a Friday night and barely had to wait five minutes for our table and our server Joe was attentive, kind, and hilarious throughout the whole meal and really made our evening. Needless to say, I didn't use the facilities. I told the girl at the hostess stand that the ladies restroom was badly in need of being cleaned. Horrible horrible horrible location. My sister and I had over $200 stolen from us from our server changing the total on our bills. Yes, bills. As in plural. She changed the amounts on BOTH! And no one caught it until we checked our accounts! Someone isn't doing their job if they aren't checking server checks weekly. I've worked in a restaurant and that is completely unacceptable! We contacted a manager, which trying to get an employee to figure out how to get a manager on the phone is a huge task in itself, and they refunded us the incorrect tip amount but didn't even refund the whole bill. I mean she stole $200!? We actually had a manager tell us she couldn't help us at first. You can't help a customer get their stolen money back.... and you're a manager....?? (her name was Kat). We have been to this location twice and both time our service was horrible and the hostesses are extremely rude and give you plenty of attitude. Friday night 4/2/21 I took my young son and two younger boy cousins (2,10,12) out for dinner. We had to wait an hour before being seated. Which is understandable for a Friday evening. We finally get seated only to hear our waiter say "I'm so ready to get out of here!" Not something you want to hear before enjoying your meal. Although the food was GREAT! Complements to our cook! Our service was INCREDIBLY TERRIBLE! He never acknowledged us the whole time we were there. He just put the food and drinks on the table. He never asked how we were doing, nothing. He did the bare minimum. My 2 year old son never got a kids pack or kiddie utensils. He completely left out our appetizer and didn't apologize at all! We ordered steaks and burgers. No steak sauce or condiments were given initially, we had to ask, which was not a problem. It's the amount of time we had to wait for it. At that point I kindly asked for our to go boxes. It was such an uncomfortable dining experience. I was a server in my younger days so I know some servers have preconceived notions on if a party is going to tip, or tip well. When I arrive I was told by the host that I was not in a call list. Seriously?! Ordered to go during this pandemic and was not impressed. I understand that it was not going to be as good as eating at the place but it was lacking flavor. Flavor was not something I thought should change with ordering to go. My steak and my husband's burger and my daughter's grilled chicken lacked flavor. They forgot the blue cheese dressing and celery for the wings. My Cesar salad was very small for the price. It hardly covered the bottom of the container. However, the salad looked clean and fresh. The servers at the drive through tent were very nice and friendly. They packed my very large order very nicely and ensured that heavy items were not on top of light items. We eat at Texas roadhouse restaurants on a relatively often basis. It's sad for me to report on the quite unpleasant experience we had on Sunday, October 25 at the Texas Roadhouse off of McNaughton Road in East Columbus/Reynoldsburg, Ohio. When taking our beverage orders, I requested as I do at every restaurant we eat out at, "I'll have ice water, and if you could bring me a small dish of lemons, with the pink sweetener, that would be great." The server replied something to the effect, "so then you want lemonade, do you want to order lemonade? You're basically making lemonade, so I'll order you lemonade." Of the six of us in our party, which included our adult daughter, her husband, and our two grandsons, along with my wife and I, three ordered $3.00 non-alcohol beverages and three simply ordered icewater. My wife is having a birthday soon, and we will be out of town so we decided to celebrate her birthday with our daughter and her family. While the server repaired or beverage orders, we discussed among ourselves at the table how all of this was. We have eaten out many times together, and my family can almost quote verbatim my beverage order, which is exactly as I listed above. When the server returned with our beverages, he told me, "I will accommodate you this time, but not again." He provided a small dish of 6 relatively small lemon wedges along with several packets of the pink sweetener. I told him we dine out at Texas roadhouse restaurant regularly, and I have never had anyone question my beverage order, with lemons. I then told him we would like to see his manager. He left his beverage tray on an adjacent empty table, and went, we assumed to find his manager. He returned after about five minutes and asked us for a food order, we told him we were still waiting to see his manager. He left again, we assume, to find his manager. Meanwhile, our food order, let alone our appetizer order had not been taken, or requested of us. We are both members of the Texas Roadhouse Club and my wife had just received her birthday certificate for a free appetizer. In short order and young man appeared who we thought was the manager, and asked us how we could help. We later found out this young man was the "owner." I explain the situation to him, and reiterated we dine out often not only at Texas Roadhouse restaurants, but at at a variety of others and I have never been questioned as to a request for a small dish of lemons. In the conciliatory tone of voice, explain that if a customer asked for a dish of 10 lemons or more, that is questionable. My wife explained to him that there were six people at the table, and no one else had a lemon with their beverage, just the six wedges the server had provided for me. He then began to backpedal, and say this was basically a matter of miscommunication/misunderstanding. He then left. We decided to leave and find another restaurant to dine at. As we were leaving, I produced a $10 bill and ask one of the hostesses where the manager was so I could give them the $10. This would pay for the three beverages plus some, and we did not want to wait for an official invoice, as we were hungry and wanting to find another restaurant. We ask her where the manager was, and described him. She said the assistant manager is over in the bar area. I proceeded to the bar area and gave the assistant manager the $10 bill and explained what happened. As I described the young young man we had talked to, she told us that was the owner. As we left the restaurant, the owner was in the front lobby area and I told him what we had done, paying for the three beverages with the $10 bill. He was apologetic for our experience as we left. In a situation such as this, I would think the owner/manager would be not just apologetic, bu tell us we would not have to pay for those beverages, which were never consumed, and express a hope that we would return. I was not looking to receive our money back, as we had ordered those beverages, and rightfully they should've been paid for. I would simply think this would be the polite, and accommodating thing to do. And, we did not see the server again and/or receive any type of an apology for the very unpleasant experience we had had. We have determined never again to eat at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant off of McNaughton Road in East Columbus/Reynoldsburg, Ohio. We proceeded to long without a Mexican restaurant in Pickerington, Ohio just off of State Route 256. I asked for the same beverage orders that I always do, and was very politely accommodated. (12/22/17) Out for supper with my eldest boy and his family for Christmas. We had the fried pickles to start and then all of us enjoyed the different cuts of steak that this restaurant is famous for. My wife, however, seemed less than pleased by her 6oz sirloin steak. My filet medallions were undercooked and had no flavor, which is unusual for peppercorn dressed meat. My wife kept complaining that the server was overly loud but given how loud it was inside she seemed to talk normally to me. My daughter in law and I had hurricane margaritas. I usually love Texas Roadhouse and have always had great service until I picked up food from this location earlier tonight. The order was to go, when I got home there was something missing from everything I ordered, no utensils, no napkins, no cheese or onion for the bowl of chili, no butter for the rolls, no garlic butter for the shrimp. So I call and they tell me since I can't drive all the way back to the restaurant the most they will do is mail me a coupon for a free appetizer (I already have a coupon for that in the Texas Roadhouse app) very disappointed in the entire experience. I won't be returning to this specific restaurant. I'll drive the extra distance to avoid the horrible service at this establishment. read more

I am pleased with the service from this location. Much more pleased than the similar steakhouse across the street... (starts with an 'O' ends with a 'K') lol. The manager was a very friendly man who came to check on us and ensured we were having a pleasant experience. The food was great and came out quickly. I was also pleased with the friendly wait staff. Service is #1 priority in my book and this Texas Roadhouse delivered. I'll be returning! PS I love Texas Roadhouse as a chain. This review is specific to this location, however. read more

Had not been to Texas Roadhouse in some time. I found their curbside Togo to be efficient I ordered the 6oz filet medium rare and it was cooked perfectly Will have to make another trip over, wanted some margaritas but they only have available in half gallons and are following the law. The manager explained the half gallon was equivalent to 8 drinks so 4 orders were needed. She even offered to help me drink it if I needed it. Lol.
