We came here after 6 years. My husband was gifted a birthday gift card. First we like to say the staff such as the hostesses and our waitress were so nice and helpful. But again we were disappointed and we felt a bit sick from the food. We ordered two frozen drinks and it could have been that because both our stomach were upset as soon as we received food. We both had a frozen drinks and it was good until our stomach cramped up. Hubby had a premade house salad so it appears that it was sitting in a fridge obviously. My chili was looked warned and i could not finish. Our boneless wings were good. Our child enjoyed her kid meal steak and it was seasoned good and not salty. Once hubby and I received our sirloin steaks, they were overly seasoned and extremely salty. The mushrooms were salty. My hubby ordered the mushrooms on the side because last time we're here he wondered if it was the mushrooms. But no the steak was extremely salty as the mushrooms were also. We bother were over this situation and we both were having an upset stomach. After a recent run of customer service issues, I'm pleased to report that this location once again appears to be on top of its game. The company has been proactive in responding to its service issues. With regard to food, in the past several visits, I was able to sample a few menu items for the first time. These included the onion blossom and the fried pickles, and both were quite good. Despite some recent price increases, overall pricing remains quite reasonable and portion sizes are ample. To those in the local area that have not yet given this place a try, I can recommend it. read more

Service is good, I like their text message reminder even if we had to wait for table. Their complimentary bread is good and unlimited, so don't fill yourself too quick with them before the food comes since it might take a while due to the restaurant capacity. I asked for medium rare in case they overcook which they did not and the sirloin is more towards rare. The spiced rice is tooo salty. Overall food is good, a good place to go for affordable steak. I got the 6 oz sirloin steak with Parmesan crust it was very good and tasted nice definitely recommend it and the whole place was very nice and well decorated and I like the way you can buy ( I think ya can) the meat at the front the only reason I rated this 4 stars in stead of 5 is because of the wait time the wait time was about 40-30 min but that's on me for not booking so definitely have a reservations if you want to eat there and let's move on to the workers and waiters they are very friendly and the person at the front is just doing his job (when I was there) so I do recommend this place stake is definitely 10/100 it's soooo good so definitely a good place to eat whether it's a date or a family outing this is the best place to go read more

Haven't been here in awhile so was looking forward to returning but the place has gone way down. After our 0-10 minute wait became close to a half hour, both meals got served cold, not once but twice. Then never even brought back a part of one of the meals. If this is their new norm, they need a health inspector visit because I'm sure people are getting sick. They need new management or new kitchen staff or both. read more

I have not been to this Texas Road house for a few years. No peanuts while you wait anymore and they have a policy where they will not seat you until your entire party is there. Even when the restaurant isn't busy. It's ridiculous, they make their customers wait and lose patience instead of potentially serving customers extra drinks and appetizers. Restaurant management really needs to get rid of that forced full party or wait policy. Supervisors are more concerned about coworkers than acknowledging customers needs are not being met. Seems like they are perfectly happy with their poor service. The only thing still good here is the bread. My family remembers the portions were a lot bigger before this recent visit. One of the very very few instances where the chain actually delivers! Texas Roadhouse doesn't pretend to be anything they are not. They do good steaks in a no frills environment that promotes good times. There's hardly any seafood options on the menu and that's just dandy. They know what they excel at and they stick to it. That's not to say they don't have good chicken or pork ribs it's just that the steaks, while they are not prime, are really really good and seasoned well! My favorite here is the prime rib which is always spot on in terms of how I want it cooked. I must say I've eaten at some of the best steakhouses and can't get it cooked on point like they do here. So kudos to the chefs here that actually know what medium rare should be! Check out my pictures and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. The sides are also equally don't well, the baked potato, steamed veggies, mashed potatoes are not super fancy but on point. The buttered corn is a little mushy but hey, that would be the only miss. The service here may not be refined but it sure is quick, attentive and friendly. This outpost is super busy on weekends so make sure your take advantage of the call ahead seating before you arrive. If you have a peanut allergy stay away from the bucket on the table. Want to pick out your own piece of meat? You can do so before you take a seat. I love the little bread rolls they give with butter, yummy. I could just sit and stuff my face with those. So here are some of the things that I've tried and really enjoyed. Cactus Blossom- Texas-sized onion, golden-fried and served with Cajun Horseradish sauce for dipping. Fried Pickles-Basket of pickle chips hand-battered, golden-fried and served with Ranch or Cajun Horseradish sauce for dipping. Country Fried Chicken- Tender, all white meat chicken breast, hand-battered, golden-fried and topped with made-from-scratch cream gray. Served with two sides. I usually get fully loaded potato and corn. Smothered Chicken- grilled, marinated chicken breast with sauteed onions, sauteed mushrooms and choice of cream gravy or jack cheese. Served with your choice of two sides. These are just a few of my go to items. They had a Yelp check in offer a long time ago. I didn't get one the last few times I've checked in. I love when restaurants do the Yelp check in offer, but I'm a fan of this place even without the offer. A friend of mine even got me a gift certificate to Texas Roadhouse. I was like sweet! Texas Roadhouse's free blossom or fried pickles check-in offer made me blow my (Yelp) cover. The blossom (batter fried onions) was alright. The restaurant seemed full but I was seated immediately as I got on the red carpet (check-in spot). My server Omar didn't know what I was speaking about when I asked about the yelp offer, he found someone who knew and they delivered on their promise. A few ground nuts, an appletini, some chilli, a steak and ribs later I'm not sure how I feel. I didn't like anything. The ribs looked so big and juicy, it's like they said to me "howdy Freeyah", then the taste got up and cantered away leaving only salt behind. I won't order ribs here again. The steak? Well the ribs were given all the salt so there was none left for poor Mr. Steak. He had no flavor, no juice. The restaurant is lovely though. Nice family vibe and all. Servers don't smile often but they were efficient. The best thing for me was the ground nuts in buckets on each table. I would have finished them all if they weren't salted. The waiter named Nick needs a rasie this is a top 10 waiter of all time we didn't have to ask for bread he just knew that we wanted the bread also he brought out our drinks with such passion and love for his job and tonight was an overall great experience and I honestly from my heart couldn't ask for a better waiter. Nick is an amazing waiter at Texas Roadhouse because he always goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are happy. He is friendly, polite, and always has a smile on his face. Nick remembers regular customers and makes them feel welcome every time they come in. He never forgets to refill drinks, checks on tables at the right time, and always gets orders right. Still one of the better restaurants in Long Island, but they have declined in quality in the last few years. If your party can get their orders, their food is usually quite good. The rolls are excellent and the entrees well done. Though I wouldn't call them amazing, the entrees are good for the money. I almost always get the steak and shrimp entree, as last time. There was however no steak sauce on the table and none of the wait staff brought us any. Also two of our orders did not arrive at all until we spoke to one of the managers. They have also taken away a lot of the good things they used to offer customers - a magician, the horseback thing you could ride on, peanuts and games in the front of the restaurant - all were gone the last time we visited. It seems the restaurant is somewhat short-staffed, esp. at the bar. We'll probably come back, but these will be notes we'll have on our next visit. read more

I tried placing an order online and via the app and I kept getting an error message "sorry something went wrong" . I had no other option but to order via telephone. I received a txt stating to txt once I arrived. I texted and waited 30 mins and food was not ready. I then went inside and food was sitting in a hotbox. Once I got home my order was incorrect , food was ice cold ribs were fatty and dry . Nothing was edible. This was my first time here and I really enjoyed the place, we were seated in about 10 minutes after our arrival and the waitress brought us over some rolls with flavored butter that were outstanding Our waitress Amanda explained all the specials to us then she took our order she was very professional courteous and friendly. I ordered the bone in ribeye steak medium rare with mushroom and onions and a side baked potato and a Caesar salad the state came out perfect tender juicy and flavorful I really enjoyed it. Wifey ordered the barbecued baby back ribs with a side order of sweet potatoes and flavored rice the vegetables were pretty good and so was the rice the baby back ribs had very little flavor except for the sauce that was on them it seemed like they was boiled or steamed first before they was put on the grill I would go back again because I really enjoyed the steak and the hospitality of the place but I wouldn't order the ribs again read more

We placed an order online for pickup. Well, we had to wait 45 minutes past the time that was assigned to us. My steak was burned, the container with my salad didn't even had a lid, they just covered it with tinfoil. I ordered 1/2 doz of bread, didn't get any, even though I was charged for it. When I called the location to report about all the issues above, I was told that I should've checked everything upon picking up my order and that there's nothing can be done about their mistakes. Was torn about writing a review, but after thinking about it, here i am. Took the wife and 2 kids here on monday night for dinner. While busy, we got seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was pleasant and started us off with the bread (absolutely love it) and took drink orders. We put our order in after a few, app came out (blooming onion thing) and was delicious. I ordered the full rack of ribs with a bowl of chili and loaded baked. The chili came out as an app, and while it was tasty, there were tons of pieces of fat mixed in. Meals came out, wife got steak, cooked how she asked. Kids both got bacon cheeseburgers, and they said they were great. My ribs though, ice cold and pink. After about 5 mins, the waitress came back to check on her and i let her know. She told me "let me bring this back and get you a fresh slab". About 3 mins goes by, and the same rack comes out, microwaved partially. The sauce on top was burning hot, but as i got to the meat, still cool to the touch. I was hungry so i didnt fuss. Started eating, the ribs were dry and i couldnt bring myself to enjoy them. Had about 1/3 and was over them. The potato had a thick layer of salt on the outside which got all over the ribs as well. $150 between meal and tip, and while ive been here quite a few times, may be my last. I hate that i was promised a fresh rack and got the same food back after thrown in the microwave and was still not right. Texas Roadhouse has been one of my favorite restaurants for years and I was even more excited when they came to New York, especially this location. My family and I have been ordering and eating here for years with absolutely no complaints until now. I'm not sure if it's COVID to blame or what but I want answers. I have been using the Texas Roashouse App to order takeout and have not had one good experience yet. I know your probably saying well why keep ordering. I keep hoping for a change or maybe that it was just a bad day. Last night I had enough. I order two entrees and dozen of rolls with extra honey cinnamon butter. I also order a house salad with NO eggs and No croutons. I placed the order around 8:15 I scheduled for a 9:00 pick up time. We get there at 9 and we text here they say good is still not ready okay they will text us when it's ready. We even went in to inquire and they said just wait. At 9:44 we get a text that our food is ready. Okay I still wasn't mad because it's a busy night and plus I have been craving those rolls. We get home and I see a salad that has eggs and croutons and no dozen of rolls only the ones that came with the meal. Like I said this wasn't the first time this has happen but it will be the last because I will no longer be ordering from this location. My other complaints that I had from the previous orders was once again not have my dozen of rolls that I paid for, missing sides or even getting the side wrong. read more

Was so great, doesn't everyone hate to wait? On the red carpet there is a refrigerated showcase to your left where you can select your special steak cut. You'll be served the exact steak you pic. My friend Mikey and I went with the 20 oz bone-in ribeyes. At the table you're immediately served hot delicious bread with whipped cinnamon butter. So yummy. At the table is a big bucket of peanuts that you can just throw the shells on the floor if you like no one will say nothing. Reminds me of when I was a kid when I used to go to the old Ground Round, you would be encouraged to throw your peanut shells on the floor. Our table service was wonderful, the waitress was on point, hospitable and never AWOL when we needed water refills, more free hot bread or drinks from the bar. We did not have to wait forever for our steaks either they must have thrown them on the grill the second we picked them. There is a choice of two sides available with your steak I took a Caesar salad in the incredible baked sweet potato with brown sugar topped with marshmallows. It was just like Grandma used to make. Oh yeah baby, my marshmallow sweet potato paired with my yummy steak and Budweiser better than Padron cigars dipped in Pyrat Rum! Someone was having a birthday across the way and had to sit in the birthday saddle as everyone toasted and sang to them. A great experience if not a touch embarrassing. Good thing there are warning signs posted on the front doors for those who might be allergic to peanuts! I was worried so I asked one of the hostesses which she assured me their kitchen doesn't use any peanut oil in the dishes...phewww! I was handed a buzzer and it was a 15-20 mins wait. The steak was still pink...guess the chef can't cook it to my preference of well-done steak but it still was tasty with A1 Steak Sauce hubba hubba. The ribs weren't so delicious because it was dried and the meat didn't melt in my mouth sadly...I had to ask for BBQ sauce even that didn't help the ribs taste good. They don't have peanuts at the table any longer to munch on, which is a real bummer, but they still serve you those delicious cinnamon buttered sweet rolls for filling up on prior to your entree. You can't go wrong with one of their combination meals if it includes steak, but they sort of skimp out on the shrimp portions (like 3 pieces). The chicken fried steak is very good also. However, I would never get a burger from here, and I don't particularly come for the cowboy "roadhouse" stuff. read more
