The wife and I love us some Texas Roadhouse! We have been here several times, tried a variety of their foods, and we have not had a single complaint about any of them. The staff is always very friendly and seem to always have a smile on their faces. We have tried multiple appetizers and it's hard to just pick one, they are all quite tasty depending on what you like to eat. Their steaks are super fresh. Love the display counter when you first walk in. They have pretty nice portioned dishes at a reasonable price. Their complimentary bread rolls are super addictive. It's so hard to resist from have several of them. We have had a few of their entrees and it's hard to go wrong with most of them. Our favorite is the beef tips, it is mouthwatering and hits everyone of your taste buds. Would definitely recommend trying this out if you haven't. I guess if I had to choose a negative to say, about this establishment, it would be their selection of beer. They have your typical ones you get at any restaurant. I wish they would expand their selection and have several local craft microbrews to choose from. But, that is all I have really found to be a negative. We used to be regulars at the Denton location, alternated between here and Outback....will definitely be frequenting Outback 100% now. They took prime rib off their menu, WHAT, this was their signature steak!! So hubby and I ventured and tried a cheeseburger and ribs, waited over 45 minutes for food to come, then the burger was cold and dry and the ribs were acceptable, but not what I wanted...wanted prime rib! Normally when you sit and eat at the bar, the staff is super friendly and receptive, not anymore. The bartenders no longer have any personality, seems like they don't want to be there...such a shame, it used to be our go to place. read more

I keep telling myself I won't go to chain restaurants but I was asked to go here and it was a bit later than I normally eat. The restaurant was busy when we arrived but I didn't expect that they would stick us in the corner. Too tired to ask for another option I kept my mouth shut and sat down. Our waitress was very nice and polite. I asked if Texas Roadhouse served a larger Filet than the 8 ounce steak offered on the menu. I was told yes they do and was offered an option of 12 or 16 ounces. After I was served my salad drink and bread a male front of the house person approached our table to tell me they were out of 12 ounce filets. He offered me two 6 ounce filets instead but I declined. I didn't have the energy to protest the fact that a large 12 ounce filet is a completely different eating experience than eating two 6 ounce filets. When the food did come, it was very disappointing. The steak was not properly seasoned and the quality of the meat was poor. The internal temperature was spot on but it didn't help the steak. This Texas Roadhouse must have a poor quality choice product or they have the typical select quality beef you find in any supermarket. I ordered fries with the steak and they were very low quality steak fries. This was my first and last time at Texas Roadhouse. read more

I used to eat at a Texas Roadhouse in Colorado Springs around eight years ago. I always remembered loving their BBQ Ribs that LITERALLY fall off the bone, the loaded baked potatoes smothered in melted cheese and butter and cool sour cream, and the MIND-BLOWING sweet rolls. I recently moved to Denton (after living in a few states that DON'T have Texas Roadhouses) and revisited the Roadhouse and I have to say, even eight years later in different part of the country, the food is EXACTLY the same level of delicious! It was nostalgia city and my mouth was the mayor! I couldn't even pick up the ribs without the bones slipping through the meat and the salad, rolls, and potatoes were all just as great as I remembered them being at the Colorado location eight years ago. I know it's a chain but it's so consistently great that I would highly recommending it to anyone looking for good food and service at a moderate price. read more

This place is great buy needs new management in a serious way! No reason for chicken to come out undercooked when it's cut up and on a salad. Who checks the food before it goes out?! But...I just can't quit you, Texas Roadhouse. Although your corporate headquarters are located in the distinctively un-Texan Louisville, Kentucky, this native Texan is head-over-heels for you. The service is so-so, but you don't come here for the service. Let's be real: It's all about the Infinite Bread and cinnamon butter. Awwww, yeah. I fantasize about this bread, y'all. Do not be embarrassed to ask for seconds. Or thirds. Or fourths. They will discreetly deliver it to your table. I usually have the 8 oz. sirloin with the caesar salad and a sweet potato (not loaded, ew). If it's been a particularly rough day, I'll down it with a Ziegen Bock. My steak has always been cooked exactly as ordered. I'm usually so full from gorging on rolls that I'll bring home a whole sweet potato and half a steak for lunch the next day. Be warned: this place is packed on the weekends, and you could wait up to 30 minutes to be seated. Also, between sports broadcasts and families dining, it's also loud. Like, REALLY loud. I graduated from UNT, and now I work there, and I tend to forget that children exist since I see so few of them on a daily basis. Manager came over and offered to recook it, but if they couldn't get mine right the first time, I didn't trust them to get it right the second time, nor did I care to wait. Ricky's place is a central location for my family. I have chosen this restaurant every chance I get for the last 10 years. U may have noticed I used the owners name. The first year we were there we had a family member with food allergies and we asked if accommodations could be made. The next thing I knew Ricky was taking care of us himself. Got to know him just a little. Ricky is a fantastic guy. Having owned a restaurant myself I think I am uniquely qualified to say so. I have spoken with each of my wait staff every time we are there. They think so too. That is no small thing. All told we enjoy the food. We enjoy knowing the owner cares. We enjoy the wait staff who enjoy their work place. I say this restaurant is lightning in a bottle. I intend to continue going to this restaurant as long as Ricky is at the helm. Yum, Yum I love this place and don't think to go there often enough. I would have easily give this place 4 stars, but the last time we went the floors were seriously slippery. Someone's gonna get hurt. I told someone, but they seemed less than thrilled to hear about it, and less enthused to do something about it either (sigh). At any rate, I love their rolls and honey-butter. The peanuts are fun too. Just throw the shells on the ground! The entrees are well portioned and tasty (I usually have the chicken fried chicken). Our senior center had lunch here today. The seating was crazy, all thirteen of us sat at one long bench seating and some were at the 4 seating table, then they had just two sitting in another long bench. I ordered the Steak Kabob - medium well . Bread was good. The salad was great.My meal was supposed to have steak,mushrooms,peppers over a bed of rice, second side was vegetables. My meal arrived with just the meat and peppers. I asked where was my mushrooms? She brought me some, then I realized that I had no rice, she brought me some. By this time I had lost my appetite because the steak was burned and tough. I had a party of 7, 3 of us are military veterans and I showed up early to ensure that we could get a table for all 7. Since this was a bit of a larger party than what one car would fit 4 of us showed up sooner than than the other 3. My complaint is that they would not sit us until the entire party was present. I asked if they were saving a table for us...their answer was no..but you would be placed on the waiting list. We then left...I could understand if the majority was not present...but under these circumstances the lack of service and courtesy that we received has greatly offended me, and I am not going to be visiting establishments like this that has policies of not seating patrons before the whole party is present. read more

Surprisingly good steaks for a chain. This is probably one of the first chains I've been to that actually knew how to cook a rare steak. My husband and I were pleased. I ordered the smothered chicken while he ordered a steak. Had I known their steaks would be that good, I would've ordered one too. We also split an order of rattlesnake bites. Everything was good and they certainly don't skimp on portions. It's pretty hard to resist the bread and the cinnamon butter so by the time my meal came, I was already pretty full from the salad and the bread. We called ahead of time and reserved a table for 7 pm. They put us in the computer and it was no problem. They told us to make sure that all of our party were here before we would be seated. We arrived at 7 pm and had all of our party here by 7:05. (10 people) It was packed. We waited an hour and 3 minutes before we were finally seated. I don't really understand the point of a reservation if we aren't able to sit sometime around the time we reserved the table for. After we were seated it took our server another 30 min to finally take our order and another 30 for us to get our food. Our server was pretty nice and the food was really good. We were stuffed when we left. My husband and I shared the Texas sized combo of ribs and steak with two sides-steak fried and mashed potatoes. Overall it was an ok experience. One of the best steak houses around where you can go and not feel like you need to put on a shirt and tie. Matter of fact they may laugh at you (on the inside) if you did. You can order and ton of different steak off their menu or actually pick a particular steak out of their refrigerated display case. I typically get the Rib Eye medium rare. It is always seasoned and cooked to perfection. While I wait for my food I usually enjoy some of the free peanuts and more than my fair share of rolls and butter. I enjoy my steak with one of their fresh salads with all the toppings and a fully loaded baked potato. read more
