We ordered Togo (which we do often) from here tonight and 1) there online ordering is one of the best I've seen: asking if we want to add extra dressing, gravy, add bacon, etc. my only wish is they had a place for notes like "extra crispy" or "easy seasoning", etc. 2) they nailed our $75 order, getting every single extra sauce and sub/add correct, which is so rare these days at restaurants, so mega kudos on that. 3) every single thing we ordered was delicious- chicken fried steak, chicken strips, combo app, grilled chicken, grilled shrimp, and all the sides were delicious. 4) they have the best green beans of any restaurant IMO and their house salad rivals any corporate restaurant! 5) my picky 3.5 year old ate the best meal he's had since he was too young to choose he loved the broccoli, grean beans, corn, rice, chicken strips, tomatoes & bacon from the salad, and the rolls!! My wife and myself have been coming here for years. We have probably spent a few thousand dollars at this place. No more! After years of putting up with atrocious parking, countless small errors we would overlook (got ranch instead of blue cheese for instance), no place to stand when retrieving takeout, we were always loyal customers and always came back. March 12, 2017 lunch time ruined this establishment for me. There are not very many go to restaurants in Denton so I hate to cross it off our list of places to eat or take friends and family to. It was my birthday lunch my wife treated me to. I ordered the BBQ half chicken. I probably ate 60 percent of it noticing it was very raw towards the bone. The waitresses was nowhere in sight and didn't come back until the end. I never complain about my meal...I simply grin and bear it for the most part if I find something not completely right. The waitress did come back when we were finished and ask how everything was? I hesitated to complain since my wife enjoyed her lunch and my son was happy with his meal. I thought I would give my honest opinion about the raw chicken I found. The waitress then said she would get a manager to talk to me. A lady manager arrives next to me and "Assures me" they cook their chicken thoroughly so that wasn't an issue. I point at my plate and say "Not this time!" She then says next time you order it ask them to put it on the grill too. She also sided with me she likes her chicken well cooked. I was complaining it was 40 percent raw! She asked if I wanted dessert or a to go drink. What I really expected was for her to take the meal off the check...or take 20 percent off the bill. I understand people try to get away with free meals all the time by pulling this stunt but I had the destroyed chicken carcass in front of me with almost half not eaten...it should be obvious I didn't enjoy it! We still left a tip for the waitress. If offered to adjust the bill I would have more than likely refused. This manager basically only came over to tell me I was WRONG....so why did I need to talk to her. No need to make a scene. I just will never go there again or take friends and family here. Had I went with a ribeye I probably wouldn't even be writing this. Basically the manager's lack of empathy is the main reason I will never go here again. read more

The service was excellent! Jasmine was a very good server! However, my husband got a tall beer and had drank about half of it before he realized it has a small chip on the rim (which they are suppose to check and throw away) and it was dirty on the inside. Something stuck to the side and bubbles were coming off of it. Disgusting. We sent the beer back. The manager, Isaiah, comes over and hands him a new beer half full since my husband had drank half but my issue is the way it was handled. Not a sorry or a full beer to make up for the inconvenience or unsanitary conditions of the beverage. He just said they filled it back up to what was left of his other. Not the way I would have handled it having been in the industry for a long time. I know for a fact that other places wouldn't have handled it like that. I know it's not fine dining but it's still guest service. I wasn't impressed with the manager. You always say sorry and I would have given someone a new full beer for having to drink out of a chipped dirty glass. He hates to complain so I sent it back for him. THEN! He ordered a 16Oz sirloin. He was served a 6oz. So instead of replacing it with a 16Oz sirloin they gave him an 11oz sirloin to make up for it I was AGAIN blown away! Anyone who eats Sirloin knows the huge difference. Not the right thing to do. I love eating here but I was taken back. Completely. I wouldn't hire him to be a manager at my restaurant. Absolutely not. Brian came out and fixed the beer situation but my husband ate two steaks that weren't good bc he doesn't complain. He's a chef so he really hates that. I will speak up! Nothing was comped either. Great steak, cooked perfectly! The sides were ok. I wish they had a better selection of salad dressings. I'm not a big bread eater so the rolls were just ok. I asked to try just one rib and I would pay whatever for it. They refused to give me one rib just to taste. So whoever runs the kitchen can piss off! I'll never order your ribs now! We eat at the Denton, TX location and I would eat there everyday, if I could! Their steaks are the absolute best and what makes them so is not only their tenderness and flavor but the value of a meal there is just can't be found anywhere else! And their house italian salad dressing....that stuff is like crack to me. I could drink it, it's that delish! I would have given them 5 stars but the reason I didn't is because their staff at the hostess desk are uncaring, unprofessional, unmotivated and really just flat out rude. It wasn't any better when making call ahead seating arrangements.....the girl that answered the phone acted like she was angry, talked very fast and low to where I could barely hear her and when the call was finished, she didn't bother to say thank you for calling, goodbye, kiss my a$$, NOTHING. That's just unacceptable in my world. If the food didn't make up for that kind of behavior 100 times over, I would never go there. And when I spoke to the manager about this in person, her response was "Well, she could have just been really busy with other phone calls." WTH?? It's no wonder the hostess desk is the way they are. Ate here many times with great service but tonight was not it! Wife's salmon was not cooked well (raw on inside) and when they took it back to cook it ... it took so long that everyone was done when it was cooked. Shocking part .... waiter and manager did not care and did not offer anything like a desert or offer to take off the salmon from the bill. After reading the universally good reviews, I had to give it a try...and I wholeheartedly agree: this place is darn good. My husband and our two kids (2.5 and 8m) went in on a Thursday night a little after 7. It was pretty packed, but we waited less than 10min for a table. I got the NY strip medium rare with sautéed mushrooms, and a Caesar salad and loaded baked potato, and my husband got the ribeye medium with sautéed mushrooms, and mashed potatoes and corn as his sides. Our steaks were well-seasoned and cooked perfectly (seriously, my mouth is watering just thinking about it), and the sides were quite tasty. A lady a few tables over was having a birthday and they made her sit on a saddle...my toddler thought it was hilarious and fun. Unlike some places in Denton, TRH is very family friendly--the high chair buckle worked (which is rare) and the infant booster they have is great. The service was good and the prices are reasonable...2 big steaks with 2 sides each plus a beer for under $50? Yes please! I'm already looking forward to returning. read more

I haven't been stirred to write any reviews lately, until now. My experience at Texas Roadhouse was phenomal! The food was quite tasty, even though I don't eat much meat, the atmosphere was fun, and service was OUTSTANDING! The salmon is better than the shrimp. The baked potato is fabulous. Our server's name was Adam and it was the best service I might have ever had at any restaurant of any sort. He was polite, friendly, intelligent, welcoming, kept our water filled, and always made us feel that he was so happy that we were there! It's that kind of personal charm and interaction that brings people back to a place and I'm telling you, this kid has the gift. I'm going to ask for Adam when I return. My only negative is the peanuts. I know this is their "thing" but it seems like a lot of mess and unwelcoming to people with allergies. It's a down to earth, very reasonably priced (20oz. t-bone steak is $18), with tons of Texas character (country decor, peanuts on tables and shells on the floor) restaurant. This got Cliff big kudos' and a future appetite killing sale from us. Now, the last time I ate at a Texas Road House TRH, I was not impressed...But that was Oklahoma. If you have been to Oklahoma, a fine state, then you know its a great place with mostly bad food. Thaaaaats right I said it! I love Oklahoma. My Dads family is from here so I'm blood. But Lord knows there are not many places to get a consistently good meal. I've never had that problem when visiting our neighbor to the south. My soon to be home, Texas. With the exception of the Sirloin Stockade in Kingsville that is (shudder, gasp), the food and service at every establishment we have eaten at in Texas has always been great. I don't blame TX for the Sirloin Stockade, I blame monsters from another planet! That's the only way a restaurant can be soooo bad and still be open. Or, maybe they are just from Oklahoma! Hahahaha..ha..ha uuuuuu, hmmm ok. Denton TRH was no different. Service great, food great, steak cooked perfect, great, salad great. Now, that being said I did not and never will get the peanut shells on the floor as ambiance thing. Its gross...nuff said. Well this is my first review, so I'll be short and sweet. Our waiter was one of those real trendy guys with the beard that could careless about his job or any of our requests. My father was called "bro" instead of sir the entire meal. I was elbowed by the waiter and apologized while he said nothing. My nephew didn't receive his booster until half way through the meal, rather my sister held him and tried to eat. I'm guessing he was in college, or wanted to be, either way he must have been out all night the night before. He yawned through all of our orders with out covering his mouth. I have ordered the baby back ribs for the last time at this location. The last two times I have ordered them they were either full of fat (which I had to send back) or so over cooked and dried out that I could not eat them. This last time I did not send them back, just paid and chalked it up to experience because by the time you get your meal back the person you are eating with is finished with their meal and you end up eating alone. read more

It's always fun to eat at Texas Roadhouse...in Texas, LOL! I was asked if I wanted a smoking or non-smoking table. I'm used to Louisville and Orlando where it's all non-smoking now so that was funny to me. I ordered a 10 oz. Ribeye with S'rooms and Mashed Potatoes with brown gravy. I asked for the steak to be medium rare and it was rare to mooing so I sent it back (the waitress actually asked me to cut into it to see if it was ok which I think is excellent that they want to make sure it's done right). The manager brought me a new steak that was perfect. The masked potatoes weren't as good as I have had before. A little too dry and chunky. The rolls were of course, awesome. So where to start, we picked our food up about 25-30 minutes after we ordered it. Our steaks were stone cold yet our rolls were steaming hot. My baked potato was brown from being burnt. So I called to speak with someone about this and naturally manager Jeremy basically blamed me for my food being cold when I picked it up. Sad policy! My daughter had surgery 5 days ago and was looking forward to a few hours out. She is on a liquid diet and had brought some broth with her. While the other 5 of us ordered my daughter asked for a bowl and spoon stating she had broth. The waitress didn't say a word and then left. A few min later the manager came over asking if we were the ones requesting a bowl. My daughter said yes for her broth. The manager then told her that it was a health violation for TRH to give her a bowl for her food. And that it was policy that outside food wasn't to be brought in and then just walked off. This was no different than asking for a cup of hot water to dip a tea bag into. What if a mother forgets a bowl for the baby food ... I guess the baby will have to wait till you get home to eat. Me and my husband use to love this place but our love for the place has slowly faded. we even discussed how our parents have thought the same thing during dinner yesterday. Basically the food isn't what it use to be. There Mac n cheese is the cheap Kraft Mac and they charge an extra $1 for it. And the stakes, like anywhere else, are just ehh. Don't get me wrong the food was ok but the 5 host in the front failed to greet us and chose to gossip instead. Causing It to take them longer then necessary to seat us. I had the chicken fried chicken and the hurricane margarita. You can't ever go wrong with the chicken fried chicken. my husband figured he couldn't go wrong with the ribs and was right for the most part. He said the meat was dry but the meat fell right off the bone. In his opinion it was a good thing and a bad thing the meat Literally fell right off he couldn't even pick it up with out the bone just falling out. So he ate it with a fork taking the traditional fun of the mess away. All in all though it was good. But I think they can use some changes to there menu and recipes. read more
