This restaurant is a little too crowed for my liking and it felt unclean. I unraveled my silverware to a dirty knife and there was something floating in my glass of water. It seems they are too busy to focus on cleanliness. Wear a jacket because the AC is blasting. As for food, the cactus blossom and side of corn were a little too salty, but rolls were good and the rack of ribs was okay. I would honestly only return for a pick up order of rolls and butter, but I don't think that's an option. read more

Always love Texas Roadhouse all over the USA! Great value for money and perfectly cooked to order steaks. Sweet potatoes with cinnamon butter and brown sugar are like dessert! House red wine at $5.99/glass is just fine with a juicy steak. Dinner rolls are the kids favorite. My daughter and I share the 16oz. Ribeye dinner w/2 sides and it's the perfect amount of food. Was told I had a 5 to 15 min wait for which I was skeptical looking at the # waiting. 25 mins later, still waiting, and had to leave to findsome place else. Not a matter of impatience. The managers were also very attentive to the customers and walked around asking if the food and service was ok. What a SCAM :( I really like TR food. Mostly consistent as far as quality. However I think service is EQUALLY important! This year my son, (an elementary student) and I decided to participate in his schools annual TR fundraiser. Texas Roadhouse made white fundraiser folders to use to collect funds for gift cards. The envelopes made by TR specifically listed " Top 3 Seller sellers get to eat free for a year!" So I called the restaurant and spoke to a server who took my name down for Robin their Marketing person to call me back. She never did. The in leu of her absence server, young man, told me the winning children would get a deputy card for free meals. Awesome! P.S Robin did not call me back. We sold over 500 dollars and he won! Except, when we just went out to eat tonight they told us they would not credit my sons meal. But his meal was under the children's 12 and under menu! Why? Because the children's menu, 12 and under, is broken down into two parts kids meals and ranger meals. The ranger meals are 3 dollars more than the macaroni and cheese or hotdog meals. But they are all in the same box on the menu all of which you have to be under 12 to order... Therefore a kid. If your in elementary school your not a toddler you may want to get a real kids steak of rib basket. But they won't cover for your child to get a meal that's designated for 12 and under because it says ranger meal, even though it's under kids section of meal. Ridiculous. The envelopes said Winner eats free for a year at Texas Roadhouse. I called before participating in the fundraiser and was never called back. I was told by a server my son would get a card where he could eat free for a year. But when it came down to it, Steve the manager was fine with telling me my kid couldn't eat off of the COMPLETE 12& under meal, and that he didn't care what the envelopes said. Steve's response to falsely advertising - " If parents want to know the details of the reward they can call." Really Steve? I did! Honor your word. Hold up to your part of the deal. There's a thing called integrity and principal and this restaurant isn't measuring up in either category. Will be uploading a photo of the envelope once I get to work on Monday. I've been here a couple of times and the service is always great no matter how busy it may be. We're started with our drinks and dinner rolls with cinnamon butter. I LOVE the cinnamon butter! I tried the ribeye, sirloin and Dallas filet, but the Dallas filet is definitely my favorite. You really can't go wrong with any of the steaks they have, it really depends on how you like your steak. It's nothing over the top, but you can always get a steak fix here! We also tried the blossom for a starter, which is always recommended and I only gave in to it once, it's a fried onion, so it makes it a little healthier, right? No, but it was pretty good! I waited for 40 minutes to be seated when I was notified at 30 minutes to be seated. I then ordered a ultimate margarita on the rocks. NO salt. I then waited another 20 minutes for my drink and it came with lots of salt on the rim. I have high blood pressure and don't use excess salt. Milford store was a little bit odd. We entered late afternoon, party of 5. Wait staff were posted intermittently along the walk to our booth. Kind of like flight attendants when you get on a plane. We passed a half dozen of them. All of them gave the appearance of lifeless, bored high school girls. Not one looked up. Not one made eye contact. Not one smiled. Nothing. It was as if they were awaiting their executions. Not very welcoming and in fact, rude. Has the manager trained these girls in the art of customer service? Apparently not. read more

The Texas Roadhouse in Fort Wright must be the busiest location in the Tristate. Plan on waiting a long time (our party of four waited nearly an hour) even when calling ahead. Layout of front area is poor for large waiting crowds. Waitstaff have to plow through herds of people by the host station to get to the bread baskets. Food and service is about what you'd expect from an understaffed chain restaurant. At least they comped the appetizer for screwing up our wait. Avoid when busy. It's not worth it. read more

Call ahead waiting was interesting...and important for groups. We had a group of 10 for dinner on a Wednesday night. Well the place opens at 4pm, you have to call at 4pm, and wow, they are packed by 430pm. But they had our space saved for us. The server was friendly, quick, and good at what she does. We appreciated that. I ordered steak tips, sweet potato and green beans. It was really good. I'm a steak lover this is a far better value than the higher end steak houses. I've always like it here. We've been on the move since 7:30am so I was starved. It was just my son and I so we got a table instantly and our server (Tatiana) was tableside instantly as well. We had our dinner served to us within 20 minutes of walking in the door. I visit Texas Roadhouse at least once a month. I always go to the Fort Wright, Kentucky location. It's usually always pretty good. After today I will not be going back. First, they messed up my steak. I was fine with that. I just sent it back. While waiting on my steak to come back, I started eating my baked potato. I could not believe my eyes when I seen the most disgusting potato I've ever seen in my entire life. There was something in the potato and it was the width of a hotdog, it was 1/4 of a hotdog. It was absolutely brownish, black. I don't know what it was but it was disgusting. I showed it to the manager, she acted like it was really no big deal. I told her she needed to go check the potatoes immediately because someone else could've ingested a potato like mine. She ended up paying for my steak, but that was only after I was getting ready to actually puke. She still made me pay for the rest of my dinner though. THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO COOK A MEDIUM STEAK ! This is the second time this Ft Wright KY location has delivered a medium RARE steak that I ordered medium. I'm NOT a fan of medium rare... OR I WOULD HAVE ASKED FOR THAT. The first time I sucked it up, had them put it back on the grill, after which it came back a complete char. arrrgggg.. And I still paid for it, although I was mad, and told them so, and told them that their grill was too freaking hot. This time I sent it back for a whole new one, and guess what they gave me next ... RARE . as in nowhere close to being to my medium request. I just got up and left. AND notably, tonight, my sister also ordered medium, and got medium RARE. She chose not to complain. As much as this damn steak costs, COOK IT TO ORDER !!!! I am tired of paying for expensive steak not cooked as I had asked. This location used to be great, now it sucks. I won't go back. read more

My family and I went here to celebrate my mom's birthday and we had a great experience. They were super busy on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. I definitely recommend taking advantage of their online system for getting on the waitlist before you get there because we would have waited 20+ minutes if we didn't do that. Our waitress was great - knowledgeable of the menu, nice, and very attentive! My mom likes her steaks cooked a certain way (most restaurants mess it up) but our waitress insured that her steak was cooked correctly the first time! Of course their rolls were hot and fresh and my family got a cactus blossom for an appetizer - they said it was really good. I ordered the double grilled pork chops with a side salad and loaded fries and I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything tasted! Everyone else was happy with their meals as well. SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY AT ITS FINEST!! It was a busy Sunday night with at least a half hour wait, and I was wondering if it would truly be worth it. Well the princess Cinderella was at the front of the restaurant twirling her dress and making ballon animals. Walking to the host I was greeted with a warm smile from Abby. I could tell she truly enjoyed her job by how genuine she greeted everyone. We were sat with Ashton as our waitress. She was friendly, and made it seem as though we were family rather than customers. After being served our appetizer and drinks Brianna a manager came over and checked on us. She had a darling way of making sure the entire section staff and customers were taken care of. I should say that I've had poor service before, but these women blew all my fears away. Our food was hot, fresh, and delicious! After our meal while walking out every team member that passed us told us with a true smile to have a good night! Not everyone can afford to go to a fancy, expensive steakhouses. And if you can't then this is the steakhouse I would go to. Texas Roadhouse has good steak at affordable prices and because of that, it's a staple for me and my family. Service has always been fantastic and on Veteran's Day, they even gave my father a free meal to honor his service. However, if you want a calm and quiet environment you might want to try elsewhere because it can get loud and you'll even hear the waiters singing happy birthday but that is a lot of restaurants nowadays. But I've never been disappointed by the quality of the food. The sirloin is always cooked the way I order it, the salmon is never too dry, and I've never had a side I didn't enjoy. Highly recommend for an affordable family dinner, but make sure you are prepared to wait for a table (or add your name to the waitlist on the app). read more

A pickup ordered was placed, they forgot the 12 additional rolls that we paid $5 for including the butter and cinnamon etc. I get that things are sometimes forgotten, but the manager had the gall to suggest to me that I drive back to the store as they would be more than happy to make some fresh bread for me.... This was truly her only suggestion / offer to make things right, no option for a refund or store credit, she expected me to drive back there to correct their mistake. The parking lot was nearly full so I thought there was going to be a long wait. Wrong we were seated in less than ten minutes and the person who seated us also picked up fresh rolls for our table.The waitress was quick to great us even though they were really busy. Took our drink order and we were ready to order when she brought the drinks. The food came out in a timely manner and was cooked to perfection. The food is great I am a local that goes at least 2 times a month but tonight for fathers day with my kids I ordered a tall beer that tasted bad (could be new keg, blowing out the lines after change, dirty tap, or disinfectant rinse or soap not sure?) I was a dish/cook in high-school. Was a little concerned about our waitress but she got it all right and we never ran out of something to drink which is a big plus. Our steaks were cooked just right. My dad loves steak and since this is the closest steakhouse in our area I have eaten here many times. Sometimes the steak is really good, sometimes it's just pretty good. There are better steakhouses for around the same price in my opinion, so I'm only giving them 3 stars. I will say that the service is always good, and the portions are pretty good also. I'd recommend it to anyone in the Ft. Wright/ Independence area who doesn't feel like driving too far and is in the mood for steak. read more
