Trevon was a great server, on the ball and quick with the drinks. Food was awful. Steak was over done. I sent the steak back and it came back to me 30 mins later after the rest of the table was done. The manager Kelly was the absolute worst. Her attitude was unreal and told me "what should I have done, I didn't cook it." They are seating over the recommended capacity and multiple tables have been upset this evening. This restaurant surely needs a new manager, Kelly isn't fit for a manager position. read more

I'm so glad I can enjoy Texas Roadhouse anywhere I go unlike some other chains. Our group of about 14 made it work in the patio area round tables. Because we were such a large group, bread and butter took forever to make its way onto our tables and into our mouths. Our server Diggy? was amazing. She did her best to keep up with my thirsty group members orders of alcoholic drinks ($8) and shots ($3). Turns out those large blue hawaiian drinks only have one shot, so make sure to order a shot to go with it to give it some oomph. Many of us ordered the Wednesday special: 8oz sirloin, three shrimp, and two sides for $10.99. Their fried pickles are great. More bread, nom nom nom. Would have been nice to get a water refill. Apparently they were low on utensils all day... Get their hot sauce if you enjoy some heat. We weren't given any peanuts, but they had a big barrel right by the door so I grabbed some to go. Our server Trevon was amazing. He was quick with drinks and service for our table of 6. I had a problem with my steak being WAY over cooked. I ordered medium rare and it came out well done. I sent it back, by the time the manager, Kelly, brought the steak back to me my table had already finished eating. She was very rude, did not want to compensate for the kitchen's mistake and left the table by saying I don't know what you want me to do about it, I didn't cook it." The excuse I was given: we had a lot of people who work in "to go orders" didn't show up for work. Went to dinner here with my family. Dad and I got prime ribs. I got the large one and it tasted good, but a large amount of it was fat. Dad got the smaller one and it was mostly meat, but possibly not as tender. Recommend getting the smaller cut medium cooked. The mashed potatoes and gravy were tasty, but not big fan of the cheesy fries appetizer. The service was great, but just takes long time through the process - make sure you have plenty of time in your schedule when you come here. My parents also came here for lunch and said the 6oz sirloin is good. read more

The servers tonight were Benny and Riley. They did nice job with my sweat tea but tonight the steak was not good. I ordered mine medium rare and it came out well done. Guy next to me ordered medium rare came out well done. Another customer ordered his medium and yep it came out well done. When they brought out my second steak it was still medium. No pink at all. I tried to eat but it was very chewy. She asked if I wanted another one and I told no. They should be able to cook it right at least the second time. The most disappointing thing about this trip was the owner nor any managers came by. The owner was even at the bar. Not to good on his part in my opinion. He doesn't value his customers like I thought he would. Oh well. Time to move on. read more

We love this Texas Roadhouse! We eat here twice a month. On April 8 we had lunch here that was totally wonderful. We always enjoy the servers and ask for the ones we like the most, but they are not always working, so we have had several that really stand out. On our most recent visit we were delighted with Courtney, who entertained us as she provided great service. The time before this, we enjoyed Abby, also very personable as well as great st taking care of us. The food is always fresh and delicious. read more

Have never had such horrible food or service there, until tonight! Party of 3, and we each ordered steak. Two of the 14 oz rib eyes, and one was supposed to be medium rare. It came out well done. Requested another steak. The manager brought it to the table and when it was first cut, looked ok. It was so tough and mostly rare. $85 for a meal that took so long to come out, on top of being wrong. Nothing was even offered to be taken off the bill. Very dissatisfied with this meal. Went to this restaurant tonight to have dinner. We were from out of town. My wife ordered her steak medium it was rare to medium rare (still mooing at us). My steak was ordered Medium it came Medium rare. My wife has eaten her potato first so didn't see the steak right away. So waitress stayed that she would take it back to retire it, so instead of giving my a new one they gave her the same one back now well done and burnt on the outside. No manager came over to check on us and waitress didn't offer nothing. What a place will never go back. Management don't care should of came to my table. read more

I grew up on red meat, in fact our family had our own cattle that we sent to the great pasture in the sky, and we got to be in our own heaven after eating them. Therefore I am picky about where I go for steaks. Texas Roadhouse, is where I head too when I want that fix. Its inexpensive, and they cook the meat perfectly. I usually get the 10 oz sirloin cooked RARE, Im talking run it through a warm room rare. It comes with 2 sides, and I usually get a salad and either a baked potato or the green beans. You can get the potato "loaded" for a few cents more and their version of loaded is cheese and bacon. Ive had better loads of laundry, but its still really good. They have both A1 and their own steak sauce at the table, I prefer Texas Roadhouses brand, its got more spices in it. The atmosphere is pure country, fake cactus, wood interior. You get a Bucket O'peanuts , and warm yeasty rolls with cinnamon butter. They only seem to hire brunettes to waitress, and I have never had a guy wait on me before, which i find a bit strange! We went on UF graduation weekend and got seated immediately (there were only two of us), and we got our food quickly. I know there are other places to go around Gville for steaks, like a fake australian kangaroo topiary place, and Local joints that are hidden within strip malls, but I prefer a steakhouse that is going to be consistent and affordable. read more

The most rude hostesses in town. We used to be regular customers of this restaurant until we were rudely turned away due to asking for a table to accommodate our party rather than a booth. Instead of explaining they had a small portion of the restaurant open she proceeded to tell us she didn't have seating for us nor would she give us a wait time as an option. She just said "sorry, it's going to be a long time" in the most rude way possible. We had a handicap member of our party and the dismissive tone was absolutely uncalled for! We left and went to Outback who was very accommodating. We will not be going back there and will be letting everyone we talk to know how awful our experience was! read more

The rolls were amazing, but the food was mediocre at best. The steak was just warm when I got it. Actually, it was about the same temperature as my caesar salad was. To their credit, they got us a fresh salad after we pointed out the temperature and sogginess of the lettuce. If you have 2 hours to kill and don't mind watching 40 waiters and waitresses walking by empty-handed and flirting with each other all night, this might be a decent place to spend an evening. However, I was annoyed by the incredibly slow service and the staff groping each other while we waited to pay for our meal. After we received the check, it took over 20 minutes till our waitress came by and picked up the card. There was also a lady who placed a to-go order, and she stood at the bar for at least 15 minutes *after* they brought her food to her the first time. They missed items in her order, forgot her drink, and messed things up several times. The rolls are the only reason I'm not giving this 1 star. There is no reason that it should 2 hours to serve a party of 2, ordering 1 entree on a slow Monday night, especially consider the surprised number of staff they had working. read more

It comes out a disgusting luke-warm soggy piece of gristle. I'm blown away that somehow 7 minutes after me and my girlfriend ordered our food it comes out and it's barely above room temperature. Both my prime rib and the ribeye looked like they had been pre cooked and had been sitting for half an hour before being carelessly thrown on a plate and brought to our table. I do not understand how this place stays in business serving such garbage food. 0/10 will not ever go again. Save your money and your bowels by staying far away from this crap hole. This is a regular destination for my family because of the consistent meal quality, reasonable prices, and generally competent service. Great values include the sandwiches, the small steak, and the veggie plate. The side salads are huge and the croutons are my absolute favorite part of the meal. (We order extra!) Between the unlimited bread and the big side salads, we always have a spare meal to take home. One caveat--there are few low-cal options. Visited this location for the first time on a Friday after work, usually I go to the one in Lake City. They surpassed my expectations! The wait to get seated wasn't long at all, although it was quite busy. Our food was amazing. I usually order the grilled pork chop dinner with cajun seasoning. Never in my life has my pork chop been so juicy and flavorful. That thang was SOPPED UP! Sooo good! Green beans and mashed potatoes are my go-to sides and they did not disappoint. The bar staff is always friendly. The ribs are terrible. The ribeye can range from very good to below average. Yeah, the dreaded inconsistency problem. The last time I was there, I had a 24 ounce ribeye, and it even lacked consistency. The fat was burnt, which is a good thing, unless it's burnt too bad...as this was, then it's bitter. The rest of the steak was an adventure as some bites were exceptionally salty, whereas others were seasoned properly and others were bland. The bathrooms are more akin to what you'd find in a gas station; dirty and smelly. The rest of the restaurant needs some serious TLC, worn flooring, outdated decor, etc. read more

This is my third time ever going to Texas Roadhouse. So far 3 out of 3 has been awesome. What strives in that restauratnt its their service. Quick, on point, polite, they always know what its going on and always serve with a smile! Makes you feel welcome. Tonight, My friend and I went with for a dinner. Ordered the ribs with sirloin, fresh veggies and rice. It was awesome. The appetizer- potatoes skin was half price off b/c of happy hour. Anyhow, their best thing is always the fresh soft bread rolls and with cinnamon butter.. yumm and of course the free peanuts :-) Overall the reason why they didnt earned the 5 star is due to their food quality. I thought the sirloin was a mediocre sirloin - although it was cooked medium - it was not tendered. Ribs seemed to be overdone for hours... too soft. but Although the flavor of the food was quite tasty. My go to casual steakhouse. It's not cheap but certainly not expensive. I always get the bone-in ribeye. It's what I eat at any steakhouse I go to. Service is always quick here and they have some great tasting peanuts. Their bread rolls are complimented with an addictive cinnamon butter which I love. The only thing I can possibly complain about this chain is that the cooks are sometimes off with the cooking temperatures. I like to order my steak medium. More often than not, I get the perfect steak but I have also had times where I got a medium rare or medium well. The consistency isn't always there. All in all, this is still a good casual chain and I will go back when I feel like eating a casual steak. For an awesome (upscale) dining experience and some good steaks, head over to Ember's. I've typically had good experiences at this roadhouse. I hate the new format where they sing and dance but the food is great and the rolls are amazing so we always order carry out and eat at home. Usually it's awesome. Big fan. This time we called ahead and were put on hold for a significant time. Someone finally took our order and told us our food would be ready in 25 minutes. We got groceries and made it to the restaurant in 30 minutes only to be told they didn't have our order. At first they acted like we were lying about calling ahead. When I showed them the recent call on my phone suddenly they remembered someone DID talk to me but they still lost our order and when we wanted to just leave and try our luck somewhere else, they insisted the food was already on the grill. "Ten minutes, max!" They did discount us on our order but we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for our food. It was extremely disappointing. I was very frustrated with our experience. Usually their restaurant is great for carry out, but when they go wrong they go really wrong. Also seriously, if anyone in your party gets stressed out by loud noises and has sensory issues do not eat in the restaurant. Get take out! The physical restaurant is extremely stressful and loud and there are peanuts everywhere. The food is good but the dining experience is awful if you're not aware of the singing, dancing, loud music, and peanuts everywhere. read more

It is a chain restaurant so don't expect amazing food, but it was good. I ate the chicken critters which is their take on chicken tenders and those were my absolute favorite. The breading was different it was almost like a beer batter which made them very crispy. My boyfriend got the ribs and they were ok, nothing out of this world. They did fall off the bone, I'll give them that but over all taste was ehhhh. Happy hour was our favorite part! We went on a Saturday and had a 22 oz beer on draft for $3 so that's a plus for beer drinkers. In all I probably won't go back but if you want to try it out I'd say get some beer and chicken critters!!!! read more

We opted for Texas Roadhouse on a Friday night -- 5 in our group. There was an expected wait; hostess said 15-20 minutes. 45 minutes later, we are still waiting. One went in to ask and was told they were putting two tables together for us -- if we had told them to start with that we'd sit in a booth with a chair on the end, we would have been seated faster. OK, why didn't they say that to start with? The buzzer goes off in a few minutes and we go in for our "table". Well, we got a booth with a chair at the end. What happened to the two tables put together? Guess it went to a larger party. So, OK, fine -- we are hungry, so we'll take this. The hostess said, "It will be fine -- you have the best waitress here." Wow, if she was the "best", I sure would hate to get the worst! We looked at the menus and she took our drink order....and then was gone for 10 minutes. When she finally came back, without our drinks, she apologized saying there was a "problem" in the kitchen. The drinks don't come out of the kitchen, so who knows what was going on -- we should have left then. Our drinks (just tea, water, and cola -- no alcohol) were finally delivered, but still no rolls! The waitress took our orders finally. I ordered the Portobello Mushroom Chicken, husband ordered half-rack of ribs with a plain sweet potato, another ordered one of the burgers and fries, another ordered one of the steaks with a sweet potato, and another ordered the grilled chicken salad. He asked if it would be possible to get some extra vegetables added to the salad, like broccoli -- she said that would be no problem. Guess that was the last time she thought of it because when our food finally arrived (took 30+ minutes), the salad was just what was on the menu with no extra vegetables. When our food came, we asked for more rolls and, again, she disappeared. 10 minutes later, the manager (??) stopped by to ask was everything OK and we asked him for more rolls. He promptly brought another basket of their delicious hot rolls. We were eating and enjoying the food (finally -- we were all starving at this point!) and our waitress appeared with another basket of rolls. When she saw the basket on the table, she demanded to know where those came from -- that she had the last basket. I have to say my food was good and, except for the salad with no extra veggies, everyone else seemed to enjoy their dinners. The service was horrible. The noise level where we were sitting was deafening. We won't be back to this Texas Roadhouse!! read more

If you are reading this review and are wondering whether you should eat here... EAT HERE. I come here a few times a month, and the food is always wonderful. Once you are seated, you are given the most delicious bread rolls in the world. Aside from being warm and soft, they give you this whipped cinnamon butter with the bread that is to die for. Aside from the bread, they have peanut baskets on the table so you can munch away while you choose what to order. The menus are already on the table. The drinks can be a little expensive as they don't have the best drink specials, but the Razzlenake drink with a "kicker" always hits the spot for me. I won't give a rating on the drink specials though because it is more a restaurant than a bar. I always order the 6 oz medium rare sirloin with loaded sweet potato mash (amazing! I save it for a dessert) and a salad. As a previous reviewer said, sometimes the temperatures of the meat are a little off, but that is once in a blue moon and they fix it right away. The steak is delicious and well seasoned. If you come for lunch you can get the sirloin and two sides for $8.99. It's a steal! The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the last couple times I went my servers were professional, but not too friendly. Also, the last time I went, they didn't clean out the peanut tray from the previous party and I stuck my hand in the used, chewed peanut shells..... It's okay! Still a fan. There is a special place in my heart for Texas Roadhouse! I love this place. The ambience: It's pretty good, I definitely prefer to be to the left past the bar in the back dining room. The service: I've never had bad service here, the 10+ times I've been there in a year. The food: I generally order my steaks medium well for fear they'll be dried out otherwise, but I love my steak well, here that isn't a problem, I order my NY Strip well done, it is tender regardless. I don't usually write reviews but we had a particularly bad experience at the restaurant and it was the second bad experience in a row. Last night was twofold: showed up for a business meeting for dinner and drinks with 5 of the 7 people ready to order drinks and appetizers only to be treated quite rude and told they would not sit us until the other two people arrived (the restaurant was not over busy or on a wait). After standing around for 10 minutes and talking to a manager they reluctantly sat us. The second event was witnessing a staff member leave the bathroom stall after flushing, NOT washing his hands and walking straight into the kitchen... . Bottom line, bad customer service and disgusting hygiene will have this long time Texas Roadhouse fan avoid this particular one for future family and business dinners read more

WARNING LONG: I had dinner last night at the Gainesville, Florida location and wow I am so disappointed. We came as a party of 10 this was just me, my sister, our spouses and children 13yrs, 11yrs, 10yr, 9yr, 7yr and 4yr. We were told a 20minute wait, okay it's 5:30 on a Tuesday night but okay, we can wait. They call us 20ish minutes later and show us our "table" it's two tables across from each other. We made comments but it was pointed out it's a 4 top table on one side and 6 top table on the other and another table will be another 20minutes so we accepted it. Sat the children together and the adults across from them. We could clearly see the kids but couldn't really hear them unless the kids got loud. The waitress that was assigned to us was the only positive part of our meal. She smiled a bunch and truly seemed to want us happy. Her name was Valentina, even though our receipt did say that. We choose to tip in cash because we wanted to make sure she got the 20% tip we felt she earned. First we ordered drinks and my sister's pina colda came out melted with little bits of white chunk, she said it tastes sour, she tried again with a strawberry Margarita on the rock with sugar rim, it came out frozen with a salt rim. Frustrating but 35 minutes into the meal the right drink finally arrived. Meanwhile my drink was a fuzzy peach, it came out as a grapefruit surprise. The front of the house manager walked by and "checked with us", we told her what was going on and she seemed to really not care at all. Like her affect was 0. She offered to get me another drink and I accepted, I tried to hand her my drink but she walked off. She popped back up to see if I wanted a shot of some kind too but I didn't. My drink arrived and was fine. I might had our spouses had Long Island ice teas with no issues. Then the food started to come out. My sister's salad arrived and no one else received their salad for another 10minutes. Everyone else's salad arrived with their meals. The children (sitting alone on the six top) ordered steak bites. I didn't see them as we were at different tables, but 2 minutes later the kids are all complaining they can't eat because their food is crispy and yucky tasting. Yes, they burned all the kids steak bites. Took another 10minutes to get fresh bites (that the kids didn't eat because they were still too burned) but by the time they arrived all the adults were done and we were handling the receipts, so it may have taken longer than 10 minutes I honestly wasn't watching the clock. I can add the kids Mac-n-cheese was okay (he ate it). All the adult food tasted fine. So on the receipts the "manager" charged me for the extra drink she offered. I explained this too the waitress and she sent the manager back over to our table. Again attitude from the manager, she said her name was Samantha and that other than 2 kitchen managers she was the only manager in house. She said she charged for the second drink because the first one was mostly gone. (Yeah I had several sips trying to place the flavor and I made everyone at the table try it too and they agreed on the grapefruit flavor) she offered a small discount which in the end equaled the price of the drink. But the way she spoke to me and rolled her eyes and clearly showed how disgusted she was with dealing with our numerous complaints made me very upset. Her attitude and reaction to us is a polar opposite to our experiences at Texas in the past. All in all a horrible experience from a restaurant we use to love. At the old location we met my sister's family every Tuesday night for kids night. We became friendly with the sweet young lady Ashley who sits in the lobby entertaining the kids. Ashley is still in the lobby, still smiling and happy. But with the drink issues, the burnt kids meals and honestly the attitude from the manager solidified we will not be back for A LONG time. Last thing: the manager said the new Texas Roadhouse can't accommodate parties of 10, they don't have tables long enough to seat 10 people together. Why would Texas Roadhouse build a brand new building that can't accommodate large families?? I understand hiccup with opening a new restaurant, and anyone (bartender, kitchen staff etc) can have a bad night but to treat customers, who point out the issues, like they are the problem is frustrating. I rarely come into town with out stopping by "Old Faithful" they never let me down. I'm pretty sure the main reason we insist on coming here is so that we can each eat a basket of bread by ourselves. My one complaint is the hamburger buns.... They are always stale and fall apart every single time. Although I love the burger I just hate fighting with the bun. Considering that this was a chain of sorts I wasn't expecting a whole lot coming in, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Both times I went, the service was great, the waiting staff and hosts always very polite and friendly. I've had steaks at both very expensive places and the run-of-the-mill Outback type locations. Having had the sirloin and the rib-eye, I was literally shocked by how good it was, the seasoning was perfect and every side dish complemented the steaks very well. The entire meal was fantastic. Considering I'd gone for a very early dinner the first time, and had eaten just a little while prior, I wasn't expecting to finish my meal, but the taste kept me going and I had dessert too! I will definitely be coming back when time permits. read more

We ate Sunday afternoon at the Gainsville TRH. We will not be back!!! I ordered a ribeye steak, salad, & sweet potato. Ribeye was cooked to order but very fatty, at least 10%. It was also on the cool side. It did have a good favor. Salad was very good & fresh. My potato looked like someone had drop a cinnamon bomb on it. I ask for cinnamon butter (like they serve with the bread.) My potato was also under cooked. My husband had the sirloin steak. It was dry, tough & chewy. Our meal was served in a timely manner. Our waitress was not concerned with our service. During our meal, she dropped off our check in passing and stated, "No Hurry." When she came back after the money we had to ask for drink refills. The customer service is the WORST!!!!! We had a party of 4 with a one year old baby. Waited over 50 minutes to get our food delivered to the table. The waiter apologized and blamed it on the kitchen staff when every family around us eat their food and left. 3 different families came in 20 minutes after us, ordered their food, eat, and left before we even got our meals. Asked to talk to a manger and 2 of them came to our table and did nothing other then say they were sorry. Bill was over $80. Completely unacceptable and needs lots of work with hospitality. read more
