We arrived there around 7:40PM, June 24, 2026, we just waited like a few minutes, then there was a waitress leading us to the seat, pretty smooth. There were lots of customers, the atmosphere looked joyful, TVs in the bar area were showing World Cup Group A matches, Czech Republic vs Mexico, and South Africa vs South Korea. I chose 12OZ Fort Worth Rybeye(medium well), with side dishes, baked potato and corn. My wife chose 6OZ Hand-Cut Sirloin(medium well), with side dishes, seasoned rice and house salad. Drinks were coke and iced tea. The waitress was very welcomed to us. Everything tasted excellent, except the seasoned rice was not our flavor. The final bill was $59.47. We always receive great service and the only reason we aren't here every week is because it's a true gem in Grand Prairie and always has a wait. Luckily we did online waitlist and our table was ready when we arrived. The bread alone is deserving of a five star rating! We had the iconic onion blossom and even though we were full, we made room for their steak, cooked to perfection. Was seated right away despite being packed. Friendly hostess and server. Ordered the full rack of ribs which came in 2 slabs. One slab was good. The other was inedible. Dry and tough, as if it had been held over from another service, reheated and reglazed. The sauce was like a thick coating of shellac and the ribs could not be pulled apart. 3:15 on a Thursday and it was full of ppl already. We thought we were early too. It's definitely the place to be. Plenty of parking. As we walked in, no issue getting a table. There were lots of ppl already seated. I presume they all got there at 3pm when it opened. A good variety of items on the menu. We went for the $5 margaritas. Great and refreshing. The warm rolls and sweet butter are our favorite each time. No longer is there barrows of peanuts in the waiting area. There's a package bag of peanuts for you to enjoy on the table. We had a variety of food orders. I had the prime rib with sautéed mushrooms on top. It was perfect and cooked the way I like it. Caesar salad to start was good as well. I'm writing to share my disappointment with our dining experience at Texas Roadhouse tonight. We frequent this location quite often and have generally enjoyed our experiences, which is why tonight was especially disappointing. First, I want to recognize our waitress. She was very attentive, patient, and professional throughout our visit. Unfortunately, there appeared to be a mix-up in the kitchen with our order that significantly affected our experience. My meal came out hot at approximately 7:30 p.m. However, my husband's meal did not arrive until about 20 minutes later. When his meal finally arrived, his steak was not prepared as he specifically requested. He ordered a 12 oz. filet and clearly requested that it not be butterflied, because butterflying the steak causes it to cook differently and can result in the steak becoming dry. Despite that specific request, the steak was brought out butterflied. When we brought this to the attention of the woman who delivered the meal, we were told that it is Texas Roadhouse's policy to butterfly the steak. This was particularly frustrating because the request had been clearly communicated when the order was placed. The combination of the significant delay, the incorrect preparation of the steak, and the explanation that this was company policy left us very disappointed. If butterflying a 12 oz. filet is indeed standard policy, customers should be made aware of that when ordering so they have the opportunity to choose a different preparation or meal. We have been loyal customers of this location and have visited quite often, so this experience was unusual for us. Unfortunately, tonight marked the first time we left Texas Roadhouse feeling genuinely disappointed with our overall experience. I hope management will review what happened with the kitchen staff and clarify the steak preparation policy with the team to ensure that customer requests are properly communicated and addressed. We value good service and quality food, which is why we continue to return, and we hope this experience was an isolated incident. read more

Went here on a weekend, super busy with a long wait time (as expected) but easy & convenient to get on the waitlist. Lots of space for those who are waiting inside & outside. Service was excellent from the hostess, to the waitress, to the staff that brought out our food. A+! The food was "meh" I'd say. Had a smothered porkchop, delicious. Chili was bomb. We had shared a blooming onion or whatever it's called, I know it's fried, but so much grease pooled up on the bottom. And the batter would fall off as we were dipping it. Rolls & butter are always on point. Chicken tenders/strips with fries were okay. Chicken fried steak, big portion... average taste. Macaroni & cheese was dry, caked up cheese, not the best. I ordered steak and salmon to go. I added $8 as a tip when I placed the order, only to receive push back when I asked for additional steak sauce. The experience fell short because of the steak sauce situation. The sauce containers were only about 1/4 full, which wasn't nearly enough. When I asked for additional sauce, I was told they couldn't provide more than two. I had to purchase a bottle for $6. For a steakhouse, it's frustrating to feel like you have to ration steak sauce, especially when the containers aren't even filled properly. I wouldn't suggestion arriving 30 min before closing. They close at 10pm yet ran out of ribs at 730pm according to our waitress. So it was down hill from there. The fries looked and taste old. I just left Texas Roadhouse in Grand Prairie and was disappointed with my experience. Our waiter Carmelo provided good service at the beginning, but then disappeared for an extended period of time. When he finally returned to check on us, I asked if I could place a to-go order. He informed me that they were not accepting to-go orders because there was a wait, which was frustrating. After that, his attitude seemed noticeably negative, making the overall experience less enjoyable. I work near this location and have visited several times in the past. Today I dined in after about a month of not going due to incorrect order specs and bad service yet today I received the same outcome. This time the manager was snobby with me on the phone once I called back to relay concerns about my dining experience which turned a request for a remake to a request for a refund after hearing how disengaged & unconcerned she was about my experience and the poor quality steak. When I got off work and went by the restaurant to take back the food I had earlier received and not eaten. I was met with very rude customer service from a manager who told me since I "keep having bad experiences there" that I should 'not return'. She said that she had talked to corporate and they also suggested that I not return to the restaurant since THEIR service and food has repeatedly not met my standards. (Twice in the last 3 months I wrote in a complaint and sent back food). I let her know that I thought that statement was a very discriminatory approach and that it is now a legal issue. What began as a simple quality and service complaint turned into a true revelation of what type of establishment they intend to run and that is one not welcoming and inclusive of all people. I guarantee if I was of a different ethnicity that I would not have been met with the type of treatment, hostility and dismissal, I was. We asked for new rolls because they were a little burnt, and instead of checking, were instantly told, "They're probably all like that you'll just have to wait for a new batch." I had my reservations about going on a weekend and was right. They do not accept reservations and we were caught up in a long and chaotic wait experience. While I realize there will be a wait, I really think someone could organize the front of the house better so you can stand, walk, sit, etc. Perhaps they wouldn't need what was an overzealous GP police officer monitoring the restaurant if there was a bit more organization. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone it's packed no matter the day and barely any sitting rude customer service. Seems like a great place for families or large groups although the wait was insane. We were told 30 mins but it ended up being over an hour. I was really hoping the food would be worth the wait and I'm happy to say it was. I got steak and shrimp with a baked sweet potato and side Cesar salad. Everything was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. They had some yummy mocktails I had a cranberry one and it was fire. So all in all it was worth the wait. We went in with a party of 13. We were told we couldn't be seated until a particular server came in. Mind you there are servers standing around at the check area. Come to find out the server we waiting just happened to be black which we were a black party. So with all the managers there no one could seat us we had to wait on one person. Then we asked to have an area for us to bring a few tables together we were denied and split up too 3 booths. After passing two areas that had empty tables. The server was excellent. I am beyond disappointed with the location. We feel racially profiled as well as still can't believe that no manager would seat a party that was told to wait until 330 then we ended up not being seated to like 4 pm. read more

It took 30 minutes to get our food and drinks which was a celebration for her birthday. Our meals finally came and the ribeye l ordered was so full of fat that l literally had to spit it in my napkin. The potatoes were cold and the drinks came after we ate and we ordered with our meals. So the place look dirty and as we were leaving we dropped our leftovers accidentally and the food fell on the floor. And that was my gift to my wife on her birthday. My dad's girlfriend took us here as this was one of their favorite places to go to. The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect for a restaurant of that name. They blast country music which makes it hard to talk. It's also super busy, do I would suggest making a reservation beforehand as she did. We started off with 2 baskets of their famous rolls. I appreciate that they're not stingy and they give tourists plenty of the good stuff right away. While we were there the biscuits were melt in your mouth delicious. We took a bag home and they weren't so fluffy as when they were fresh but they were still good. Here's what we got: Chicken critters with a loaded baked potato and green beans - The chicken strips were just fine, nothing special, but not bad. The green beans were good. They were well seasoned and tender but not soggy. Kids grilled chicken with fries - my son gobbled the strips up. The fries were yummy and well seasoned. Kids grilled cheese - Nothing special but my daughter liked it. Steak and ribs meal - My husband said it was well seasoned and tender. He liked his loaded sweet baked potato. I love the Texas roadhouse, not found it in Texas but Texas approved. My favorite is their critter salad... Which is chicken tenders chopped up on top of a really nice crisp fresh salad. And when I say chicken tenders, I don't mean like those old sad ones you get at the grocery store, these are nice fresh pieces of white meat that are lightly battered and fresh every time you get them. I love to get it with their ranch dressing, which is not the sad thin stuff, it's actually made out of sour cream and is actually wonderfully thick like it's supposed to be. Now for those of you who are more carnivorous, their steaks are excellent. You can even pick out which steak you want in the front when you get there. And let's not forget their rolls and that butter holy crap... I eat way too many of those, the butter is like a whipped but with cinnamon it is so tasty especially on those fresh hot rolls. And of course I like a big old iced tea with that, but I also love their sangria and they have a full bar so you can get whatever beverage you like with your choice. Normally the service is really good. I've only had problems once or twice and once I talked to the manager about it, it was addressed and fixed. They're very responsive and helpful. And of course, the ambience cracks me up. It's all wooden benches and tables and the big bar in the center with all the TVs, and of course, everything from a stuffed armadillo, drinking a beer to simple signs from Texas are all on the walls. And they were opening their lids. They spilled the milk. And we didn't have any access to straws.. Secondly, all of the loaded baked potato sides were missing. It felt careless. I just updated the app the other day as we were going to order pickup. For some reason, it never would allow me to complete the order. This restaurant has been bad for a while now. I had stoped going here because they were so bad, but... I had to go to this location since I was with others. They have not only sunk even farther down, but now they are accusing me personally of pouring alcohol into my 4 year olds sippy cup. Who in their right mind would give alcohol to a 4 year old child??? That's plain evil and disgusting!!!! When I confronted them about their accusation they said they saw me pouring something, but didn't see what I was pouring into. I was pouring my sidecar into my Margarita.... Like any normal person would do. They refused to check the child's cup (I insisted they either take a sip, or at least smell it, since alcohol has a distinctive smell); they did neither. They just wanted to make an unsubstantiated claim, but refused to provide any evidence of malfeasance. I asked them to call the police, which they did not do. The female manager told me "you need to pay your bill and leave". I told her she needed to comp my meal for the inconvenience and the interruption of our meal. She laughed in my face!!! Great management training!!! So basically, my family dinner was interrupted for assuming I was giving my 4 year old alcohol, refused to prove their accusations, and chickened out and called the police. Great dining experience, everyone needs to be treated to this type of service on a daily basis!!!!
