This place is fine I guess. I ordered a steak medium rare and it was almost well done. Maybe they misheard me. They didn't ask and I didn't tell. Was there for my dad who loves the place. Specifically the $10 lunch burger. That is a good deal, but my over cooked stealth with a single side had my wanting to be a texas roadhouse instead. They check the temp with you and you get two sides for about the same price. My wife had the chicken. Chicken at a steakhouse, it was fine. We tabbed out then had to wait for 10 minutes before the server every cane back. When they did, they said I know you've checked out already, did they miss something. A togo box, actually! After that we had to wait another 10 minutes to get that. I guess they got their tip already and didn't care, which is what it felt like. First time here. Big fan of this restaurant chain. All of them are legends. Loved the steak. First time having a loaded potato. The salt seems like too much until ya eat it. It's just right. Might have the best bread I had at a restaurant. The Mac n cheese was piping hot! Had to blow on it to cool it off. LOL. But it was good. But desert was good and freshest strawberries I ever had a on cheesecake. This the funniest thing I ever seen. They have a power outlet at the booth to charge your phone. Even with USB slots. This was our first trip to LongHorn, and we were all impressed! There were 5 in our party when we came in on a Sunday night. We were seated after about 15 minutes, and our server came right over to take our drink order. Our food came out in a timely manner, and everything looked delicious. The steaks were all cooked perfectly, and so was the salmon. I highly recommend getting the salmon "Parmesan crusted", it was delicious. Our server was amazing, and so thoughtful. The food has really gone downhill. My steak was tough and barely edible, and it had little to no seasoning. They brought out the usual loaf of bread, but forgot the butter. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but not anymore. Something has definitely changed. The food quality, portion sizes, and overall value just aren't what they used to be. So basically I went with my family hoping for good steak, due to high prices. Me and one other ordered the "renegade steak" first up, one steak was obviously much smaller than the other. Secondly, when we cut our steak (we ordered medium rare) all I saw was JUST rare. My other guest found the steak fine just to find a completely raw center. Longhorn rarely disappoints. The food is served pretty quickly starting with the warm bread and soft butter that there never seems to be enough of. The lunch option comes with 1 side and a salad costs $1.48 extra. Salad was completely lackluster but it was exactly what one should expect for the price. The chicken wings are served with ranch and buffalo sauce and are kind of crispy but not battered or really fried. I always order the NY Strip and it was cooked to a perfect medium with a thin line of fat on the side. My favorite part is that it is well seasoned and charred. I also love the brussel sprouts. They are probably some of the best I've had. My partner always enjoys the filet and says that it's a really good steak for the price. His mashed potatoes were hot and buttery, as expected. People picking up orders. Service was slow. Took about 8 minutes for a drink. After 12 minutes and still no one took my food order I had to wave down the kid who gave me my drink - "Sorry I thought she took your order". Ugh. I ordered a salad, 9 oz steak and mac and cheese. Told me the mac and cheese as a side is extra. I did notice the two guys to my right ordered it and it was not extra. What the heck. Got my salad served from behind me. I think that guy hates his life. The salad is thrown together and looks like something McDonalds would put out - tomatoes dumped on one end, cucumber on the other, that cheddar cheese that looks like the kind Taco Bell uses. Dressing plopped on there. It actually wasn't bad. I mean industrial ranch dressing is the same at these places so that's fine. Another grumpy waiter delivered my steak and mac and cheese. I mean it was decent. I was happy to have it. I haven't had a steak in months or longer. I will say I never got bread. Maybe cause I was on my own but the woman next to me also on her own had it. I was kinda mad about that cause the bread looks good - nice loaf and that whipped butter. I was starving too so it would have been nice. And no, I couldn't have asked for any I was lucky to get what I did. I only had the one drink - again - super busy, no one checked on me - I usually like wine with my steak but I only had my old fashioned to milk the 40 minutes I was there. Both mine and my husband's birthday was today and our kids took us here for our birthday. Husband's steak and lobster was cooked to perfection, the fried okra on my daughter's plate was the best I've had in years(she shared!!) , I shared ribs with my grandson and they were the best and he LOVED the mac and cheese and the bread to start the night was fresh and delicious. AND our server, JOY K was attentive, friendly and our glasses never went dry. From the greeting at the front door until we exited was such a pleasant experienced ALL the staff was friendly and appeared to be glad to be there! I know they might not all have been excited to be at work but making the customer believe they were glad to be there only makes the experience better and something not seen very often. We only eat out for special occasions and we've been so disappointed at other establishments for Fathers and Mothers Days as well as Easter and our anniversary.
