Hello Karen, Thank you for reaching out -- I do appreciate that effort in itself. However, I'm disappointed to say that when you advised me to call, there was no indication of who I should speak with. Since you were the one who responded to my review, I specifically asked for you but was informed that you handle customer relations and are not located at the restaurant, which I understand. My issue is with the follow-up process that occurred afterward. I initially called on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, and was told a manager was unavailable but that I could leave a message and would receive a call back. I did so, yet I never received that call. When I called again today, I was connected to a manager -- who happened to be Dav, the very person my review was about. While he did ask if I preferred to speak with another manager, I proceeded under the impression that he may have information to relay or an update regarding my prior complaint. Unfortunately, the conversation went much like the interaction during my visit. Instead of resolving my concern, Dav became defensive and argumentative -- repeating nearly the same statements he made that evening. When I realized that nothing productive was coming from the discussion, I requested to speak with another manager. However, rather than transferring me or offering a solution, he continued to debate with me over my personal preference and the restaurants standard for how a steak should be prepared/cooked, which was the core issue to begin with. To clarify, the steak was only paid for after we returned the check and requested to speak with him again because no adjustment had been made. He previously said he would "take care of it," then disappeared from the table without explanation. Within five minutes, the server returned to say he was "in the restroom" and handed us a revised check -- an unusually quick turnaround that raised further concerns about how this situation was handled. Even after I referenced your earlier message -- which implied I could speak with any manager -- Dav insisted that any manager on duty handles reviews, continuing to talk over me instead of listening. It's concerning that a manager at Ruth's Chris would repeatedly engage in back-and-forth arguments with a dissatisfied customer rather than demonstrating professionalism or accountability. I was informed that the calls are recorded, and I truly hope this interaction is reviewed and used as training on what not to do when addressing a customer complaint. Special recognition to Dav -- not only was my birthday experience poorly handled, but today's follow-up has left me questioning the customer service standards of Ruth's Chris entirely. It's deeply disappointing to have such an experience at a restaurant known for its high standards.

    Chilean Sea Bass

Wife and I have eaten here for Thanksgiving last several years. Found it much easier than cooking. No cleaning just enjoying and nap after. Wife had the traditional Thanksgiving turkey, dressing etc. VERY tasty and large portions. I varied this year and tried the Chilean Sea bass. WOW, this dish was incredibly delicious. I will be back again just for this fish. Service could not have been more spot on. They were very attentive and helpful. Overall a great and enjoyable experience

Restaurant week 2025 : Waitress Kaylee is an absolute sweetheart, she's very attentive and accommodating. The ambiance was romantic, dim lights with mix of booths and tables. The restrooms are her/his & clean. Ordered from the Prix Fix menu and was a perfect line up. Took dessert home. This was a nice evening with a good friend. Unika B. & Co.

Overall the food was great. The lamb and steak are cooked the way we wanted. medium rare with pink inside. The steak is very tender and juicy. Oysters were very fresh. The rockefeller was very cheesy and yummy. I really enjoyed the soup. The crab in the soup was noticeable. The only thing that we did not like was ahi tuna. The outside was not crunchy like other places. The service was top notch. Overall very enjoyable.

This is my first time going here since the restaurant opened and I doubt I will be back. The service was terrible, they didn't clean our table after the apps. Very basic and not the extraordinary service you would expect at this price point. Steak was served overdone. Sides served to the wrong persons etc. Looks like poor service is to be expected now. While they work out the kinks. Won't stick around to find out. The cocktail was great! I wouldn't waste my time checking this place out anymore.

    malbec and a mocktail

Went here for Father's Day 2024. Enjoyed the ambiance, the decor was really nice and classy. The wait staff was superb, friendly and attentive without being too obtrusive. All things you want when you know you're going to spend a small fortune dining here. But what about the food? Overall, it was good with a few underwhelming items. The malbec was good. A solid B+. My wife's mocktail was perfect. She gave it an A. My wife's steak was great! Definitely worth the price. Her filet mignon was just the right portion size and the way it was grilled was spot-on. Definitely an A. My 12 oz ribeye, however, was very good but not in my estimation worth $65. I had just the same kind at Texas Roadhouse in the High Desert in California for $45 and it tasted just as good as well. In terms of a price-to-value proposition, I'd give my steak a B-. The side items we ordered were definitely the stars of the show. The potatoes au gratin and the cremini mushroom dishes were mind-blowingly spectacular! Those, for the price were worth every penny. A+, wait, no, priceless!! The MOST underwhelming item for us was the bananas foster for $35. The fire show was wonderful, but the taste was, for lack of a better term, "meh". The Palisades in Seattle served a much better version. Would not recommend it at all. Stick to the Crème Brûlée instead. Side bar items. Free Valet Parking was good and prompt. Postscript: I strongly recommend getting a reservation a few days ahead, heck even a week before your date to guarantee a table. Especially during special occasions, like Father's Day. There was a couple that didn't have a reservation and tried to claim the same table we reserved and was shown by the seating hostess and had the temerity to be upset because we did not give it to them. They reasoned that they waited for an hour. I rebutted that I made a reservation a week ahead. They were so upset that they left the restaurant quicker than the Roadrunner being chased by Wiley E. Coyote. Moral of the story: Don't be like this overly entitled couple.

    Spicy salmon, with crispy shrimp

Just not as top notch as I remembered. Steak was chewy and had texture as if previously frozen. Salmon was 'swimming' in the Thai sauce. Too much. Chopped salad didn't seem fresh. Bread choices - the baguette was hard, too 'crusty'. Service with Michael was spot on. Water refills, timing on food, salad deliveries, were great. Hostess tossed rose petals on the table to 'celebrate' my birthday. Mini complimentary cheesecake with a candle was a nice touch, but we got it 'to go'. Atmosphere interrupted by emergency alarm going off asking us to leave the premises. ?? Must be a normal occurrence, as the manager in a suit came around and said was not in their restaurant, but in the residential part of the building, and no one seemed phased by it. He told us the alarm would shut off when the fire department arrived. Unfortunately, through all that, my guest was a first-time visitor to Ruth's Chris, and overall, he was not impressed.

Unfortunately some of the other reviews were on point! This place is very overpriced. I have the 6 oz steak and it wasn't bad, but not worth $40. One way to offset the price is ordering the special which includes a salad/soup, side dish and dessert for $9 more. Versus paying $40 for just the steak and then paying over $10 for a side dish. The wine is also extremely overpriced! There was a $15 bottle that was being sold at $80....um no thanks. Service was normal, waiter was attentive and friendly. Not a bas experience and good flavors in the food but not worth the price they charge.

    Caesar Salad

The food was amazing. The waitress was very polite and made sure everything was to our liking. I would definitely recommend coming and enjoying the food and atmosphere.

    Cheesecake (terrible)

Ruth Chris is always everyone's favorite and I love it too but sometimes I think people glorify it too much! But at the same time I've seen people recently find and appreciate more new restaurants, hole in the wall spots, small businesses, family-owned places, etc. so maybe not. Just remember it's expensive and I honestly only go here if it's an occasion I was invited to. Appetizers: The calamari is perfect and they give you a great portion not mixed with other vegetables or things like other restaurants tend to do. The spicy shrimp is also super delicious as most bang-bang/firecracker style shrimp appetizers are anywhere else. My all time favorites: Stuffed chicken breast, lobster Mac, & sweet potato casserole! I'd honestly be surprised if you didn't try and love at least one when you go here. You can never go wrong. I'm not a sweet potato fan but this is soooo delicious and so crispy it tastes like a desert. Also, I'm not much of a steak person and I've had my steak cooked wrong here a few times so I stopped getting it. The creamed spinach & asparagus are good healthy sides too. We thought the lamb chops were a little gamey and the mashed potatoes were so bland and lumpy, it's like they skipped the salt and butter and didn't even continue to mash it all the way. Desert: We got the cheesecake and chocolate cake and both were terrible. The cheesecake tasted homemade and was super gooey inside like they didn't put it in the fridge long enough and tasted bland. It didn't help that the crust was really hard so you couldn't get a good bite without working hard to break the crust while the cheese inside flowed out. The chocolate cake was also like a flourless dark chocolate cake that just tasted more like a piece of raspberry dark chocolate which nobody liked. We thought it'd be an actual piece of cake or at least a mousse.

The service was top notch as well. All of the wait staff were friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and took care of our large group well. I started with the Old Fashioned Flight, with their Aged Old Fashioned, one with Old Forester 1920, and one with Buffalo Trace that they said was their restaurants pick. The first 2 were really good, but I think they gave me the wrong drink, because the one with BT didn't taste like it had any bourbon in it at all. But the waiter switched it out for me with a Tequila OF, which was really good. They brought out two salads for the table, and their Cesar Salad was really good, the dressing was so good. I ordered the Australian Lamb Chops, which were amazing. Simply seasoned, but done so well. I ordered a side of Chimichurri sauce, and it was not needed at all. My wife had the meatloaf, which was delicious, and the group all enjoyed their meals and drinks. We left full and happy. I definitely recommend you add this place to you list if you've never been.

The restaurant is beautiful, cozy, and comfortable, and the hosts and servers have been excellent every time. We made reservations once through OpenTable and once by phone -- both were easy, and reservations are probably a good idea since they stay busy. The food has been great both times. On our first visit, my husband and I shared the ribeye and loved the flavor. Their Caesar salad is also surprisingly unique and delicious with broccolini instead of a traditional Caesar style. I also really appreciated being able to order a single Rockefeller oyster since most places require a half dozen minimum. The second time we visited for an early Mother's Day dinner with my son and shared the off-menu tomahawk, which was excellent as well. The only consistent issue we've had has been steak temperature. We usually order medium, but their interpretation of medium has come out significantly more rare than expected. The first time, we had to send the steak back, and they asked us to identify only the undercooked portions to recook separately, which was a bit awkward and something we hadn't experienced before at a steakhouse. The second time, we tried being more specific and even requested an approximate temperature around 140°, but the steak came out closer to medium-well. That said, the flavors, atmosphere, and service have been so enjoyable that we'll absolutely keep coming back. We're just hoping we can eventually land on the perfect medium steak on a future visit.

We immediately became addicted to the house-made chips served with two incredible cheese dips--one sharp cheddar and the other a rich blue cheese. They were absolutely irresistible! The only disappointment of the evening was the French onion soup, which was a bit thin and lacked the rich flavor I was expecting. The filet mignons were cooked to perfection and served with a creamy Béarnaise sauce, accompanied by mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. My perfectly crafted Old Fashioned was the ideal pairing and complemented the meal beautifully. Although the dessert tray was filled with tempting, decadent creations, we were simply too full! Instead, we enjoyed a scoop of delicious locally made vanilla ice cream with sprinkles, produced by a nearby college, along with a warm Bailey's coffee to finish the evening. Before leaving, be sure to stop by their charming gift shop, where you'll find many of the homemade specialties served in the restaurant, including the famous chips and cheese spreads. You can also relax with a cocktail on the expansive outdoor wooden deck overlooking a beautiful koi pond, surrounded by antique wooden horses that add to the unique atmosphere. Angus Barn is far more than just a great steakhouse--it is a memorable dining destination and an experience you'll be talking about long after the meal is over.

Venue: it is good sized venue, ambient and has upscale elegant - classic theater type of look. Went to the small room area in the back to the left past the kitchen. Food: I have tried crab shrimp bisque, cheese steak roll, calamari, NY steak and cheese cake. The shrimp bisque was good but I've had better- for example near by Capital grill and definitely not closed to any of the bisque at fisherman's wharf. But you know what, when I got chunk of crab and shrimp I started to change my mind that it was getting pretty good. Cheese steak roll was pretty good but real rich. Calamari had good flavor but extremely sweet. The whole table agreed that there was unnecessary amount of sugar in there. Steak was nice and thick- however it would've been better if it had more salt and seasoning. The steak was cooked perfect medium rare. Texture was soft but I was slightly suspicious of meat tenderizer in there. Just a thought. Cheese cake was good but again, I've had better. Service: service was good. Although since it was table size to acclimate a party - everyone was attentive. Price: in my opinion it is overpriced. I.usually put price insight in the beginning but I am giving my insight on this last because- overall the experience and food was good. Surprisingly, despite the restaurant being empty, we had to wait about 30-40 minutes. The staff kept telling us our table was "getting ready," which was confusing given how quiet it was. Service throughout the meal was quite slow. We started with the shrimp appetizer, which was good. We initially ordered oysters, but were informed 10-15 minutes later that they were unavailable, so we switched to calamari, which was just okay. For entrées, we ordered steak, crab cake and crab stuffed shrimp . Steak was served on a large plate with a very small portion and no sides included. At that price point, you would expect a more substantial serving or at least accompaniments. Dessert was the highlight -- we tried the crème brûlée, chocolate cake, and carrot cake, and all were enjoyable. One odd detail: the check was split into two without the server asking how we wanted it handled. Overall, for a higher-end steakhouse, we expected better service, smoother communication, and more attention to detail. The ambience is nice, but the experience didn't quite match the price or expectations.

The first thing we noticed as walked in was how warm the place was. They have an open kitchen which is generating heat. They didn't seem to have central AC. They did have one wall mounted AC which was nowhere enough to cool down the place during peak summer days. We almost decided to leave and go elsewhere but we sat down. We got the following: Grilled Caesar salad was pretty decent for what it was. Duck Poutine was quite underwhelming. It was pretty cheese fries with duck on it. Not quite the typical poutine that also has gravy on it. Blood Orange Crème Brulee was my favorite item of the three we had. You could taste the blood orange in the crème brulee which was amazing. The portion could have been a big larger. I was expecting it to be in a small coffee cup. I could have had another one easily. All in over an average experience. Not sure if I will go back!

Upon arrival, the friendly parking security attendant asked if we needed help. It only got better. At Perry's, we were greeted and seated by smiling and friendly faces. Though Megan was our designated server; others graciously tended to us if they saw a need. For easy viewing, food was prepared through a clear glass wall. And our tasteful courses were meticulously presented. Definitely appealing to the eyes and all the way to your tastebuds! Apps were pork chop bites and salmon crostini. Followed by field green salad, leek soup and filet mignon. For a wrap it was orange cheesecake and a lemon bar which was torched tableside! Perry's Reserve Cabernet complimented our medium rare steak. ;) Such an enchanting experience is to be shared so we're heading back next week to celebrate 2 birthdays with another couple. Yum yum!!

I got the martini flight which had a sample taste of bourbon cocktail, a margarita, and a mule. I started with the steak tots which was filet mignon on a potato hash with garlic aoili. MMmmm Mmm Mmm! Then came the wedge...Aaauuhhh-maa- ziinggg! It was a nice potion with a strip of bacon, cherry tomatoes and home made dressing. My main was chicken Oscar and it didn't let me down. It was 2 chicken filets topped with lump crab and a cream sauce. This entree was placed Ontop of asparagus spears. Perfect pairing. After all that, I was full, so I got the lemon bar to go. It looked so good so when I got home you know I to try it!! The merengue and lemon zesty flavor made it hard not to have just one bite. The gentlemen next to me were very nice and Christie the bartender gave impeccable conversation and service!! One of my new faves for sure!!

You'll want to park on a side street and walk up to the restaurant. When you walk into the restaurant you'll be transported to a dark, warm, intimate, and buzzy neighborhood vibe. I'd definitely recommend booking a reservation to ensure you are able to get a table. Once we were seated I started by ordering the Long Time Listener Cocktail (Bourbon, Blackberry, Mint, Fernet-Branca) which was excellent and probably my favorite drink of the evening. For my other drink I tried the Structured Settlement (coconut washed tequila, peach, popcorn orgeat, and lime). This drink was also good, but not as good as the long time listener. For food, we started with the Manchego-Herb Biscuits which were flaky, soft, and didn't need any butter. After that we tried the Heirloom Tomato Salad (provencal granola, mozzarella ice cream, and peaches) which was perfect. The large tomato with the crunchy granola, olive oil, and mozzarella and peaches were the perfect blend of flavors. I couldn't stop eating this dish. Next, we tried the Half Smoke Sausage (roasted peppers, garlic aioli, balsamic onion jus) which surprised me. The sausage had a bit of a spicy flavor, the roasted peppers were prepared perfectly, and overall the flavors paired perfectly together. We also ordered the Bucatini (sea urchin, gulf prawn, spicy tomato sauce) which was good with the pasta and all of the flavors mixed together. The last appetizer we ordered was the yellowfin tuna crudo (honeydew, Fresno chili, shiso, tom yum ice) which was perfect. The sliced honeydew with the raw yellowfin was so good!! For the entree we split the Grilled Bavette Steak (potato rosti, shishito pepper, and sauce choron). The steak cut like butter and was cooked perfectly. For dessert we ordered the blueberry upside down cake (popcorn streusel, sweet corn ice cream) which had fresh blueberries and I couldn't stop eating this dish. I'll have to add Crawford & Son to my regular Raleigh restaurant rotation as this meal was excellent. Looking forward to my next visit.

Was really impressed by the hospitality of the bartender Toulson (spelling?). He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and gave me detailed recommendations. -- The Hamachi Crudo was so bright and light. I really enjoyed the puffed rice on top and the basil ice complemented the dish well. The grapefruit added some nice acidity and the little crunchy bites were the perfect texture contrast. The pieces of fish were large and thick. -- The Manchego-herb Biscuits were awesome. One order comes with four small biscuits. Crust was flaky, the inside was soft and moist, and the flaky salt was the cherry on top. -- The Seared Duck Breast was phenomenal. The duck was juicy and tender and salted well. The skin was thick, sooo flavorful, and melted in your mouth but I would've liked a little more crispiness on the outside. I enjoyed the mix of fresh vegetables and warm cooked vegetables served with the dish. -- The Lemon Yuzu Tart was a nice bright and rich dessert. The tartness comes from the jam on top of the tart but it doesn't overwhelm the dish. The creme brulee style top was a nice touch. The buttermilk ice cream was more on the icier side than creamy. I really enjoyed all the dishes I tried here and am looking forward to my next visit.
