This was our first visit to a Texas Roadhouse. We visit relatives in the area frequently. From the time we were seated until we left, the staff made us feel like this was our local place and treated us great. The dancing staff and the music makes dining a fun experience. Our food came out cooked to perfection. Fish, steak,chicken and ribs were all delicious and plentiful. Our server, Chris, was spot-on everything. A genuinely good person. He went above and beyond what we would expect. Bonus for our family...This place is very supportive of Military men and women who served and have pictures of local Veterans hanging inside. The opening crowds are gone. We were seated right away tonight. The staff is friendly and courteous. Server was attentive. The food is always average. The prices are in line with Diners, thus the popularity. Early Bird specials daily. Entrees are served with two sides. The rolls are served warm with a tasty cinnamon butter. Steaks are tender and cooked "right" for my blood rare taste buds. The fried chicken breast for $10.99 comes with your choice of veggies and a salad. Burgers are usually good and come with fries. A variety of apps. They have boneless tenders instead of chicken wings. This location needs to keep an eye out for clean ups. A bucket of peanuts was knocked off the next table. The bus boy used a menu to push the peanuts out of the walkway. He then, put the menu back on the table. There's a full service bar with drink specials. If you are going to the movies, Texas Roadhouse is a good place to grab dinner. read more

What a great first visit! From the ease of call-ahead seating, to the friendly hostess booth and having such a wonderful server, Gracie, all made for a fun dinner! I have been here twice and this place missed the mark both times. I have been to other Texas Roadhouse restaurants and they have been very good. In the first experience the food came out in the wrong order (with one item missing) and we were a bit overwhelmed by servers and bartenders coming at us in a rather overzealous manner (eager to refill the beer and liquor but the diet coke sat their empty) , I chalked it up as growing pains and assumed that for most of these people it was their first time working in this kind of business. I went there last night with a group of people. 2 of us had the full rack of ribs and they were completely dried up. On both plates the top portion was a bit moist and the bottom was burnt and dry. It appeared that whoever put this on the plate figured they would just put the burnt dried up stuff on the bottom. I gave 2 stars because the steaks are good.... but I am not impressed with the rest. Went last night and we both had the 11 ounce sirloin cooked medium. They came out perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful and juicy. We each had a house salad as one of our sides and it was crisp and ice cold. Everything was delicious! And frosty ice cold beer to boot, who could ask for more! read more

This is my favorite roadhouse. They have very nice waiters and waitresses. I came here with my cousin and my family and the waiter Denny was very nice. If you go to Texas Roadhouse you might need to make a reservation because it's crowded during the weekend but totally worth it!! When it is your birthday they bring over a saddle for you to sit on and they sing happy birthday and say to everyone "on the count of 3 saw yehaw" they put on a little dance too in the restaurant maybe 1 every 30 minutes! My take: Nice atmosphere Great Staff Dancing to 3 diff songs - hysterical Buns - best in the world - how do I order 3,000,000 Food: Had the pork chop - weird texture, over seasoned juicy but very strange texture. Veggies with my meal were ok - the broccoli perfectly cooked and definitely fresh - the sweet potato was under cooked My guests had the following some kind of fried chicken steak - can't exactly but their comment was it was cold. Hamburger - was told was off the hook. French fries were very good. Wait staff again was OUTSTANDING. Went to Texas Roadhouse in Howell, NJ again yesterday, Saturday July 29th, 2019. Our waiter was Easton and very friendly and knowledgeable about specials, drinks, steaks, assorted sides. There were 5 in our group. I ordered a popular beer, which came cold and within minutes. We ordered the onion bloom as appetizer. It was delivered promptly and warm. Rolls were warm and we asked for more due to the number of people in the group. Easton delivered two portions of bread. I ordered my new favorite, the Fort Worth 16 oz. Ribeye, medium well. Chilli and baked potato with sour cream as the two sides. The sides, mostly caesar salads were delivered on time. Easton was prompt in asking for drink refills. Our group ordered 6 oz. Sirloin steaks, 12 oz. Sirloin steaks and my 16 oz. Ribeye. All were delivered together and all were cooked to what each customer requested. We did not have coffee or dessert. Final bill was reasonable for 5 people. Easy to get to, right off Route 9 North. This is now one of my favorite steakhouses. read more

Disappointed after a year of not being able to go out and coming here. Ordered 2 filets. One 8oz and one 6oz. The 8 was supposed to be medium rare the 6 medium. Well not only did they cook them the opposite the medium rare was raw. They brought a new medium rare first and then took the other to "fix" that one. Then I have a hang of people shouting near my table for some bs birthday. REALLY didn't appreciate that at all. I'd rather not have an entire group of people spitting over my table thanks. There was a hair in my salad. They took my potato when they took my steak and brought it back without what I had asked for on it originally. I work in the industry and to say this place is sad is an understatement. Not only was the experience awful but because of the mistakes made I was there much longer than should've been necessary. The Howell location is not a good place to go for a decent dinner. Not what I wanted to have happen after over a year of not being able to go into a restaurant and have dinner. For the amount of money it costs they should be able to get the steaks cooked correctly, not backwards and not rare when medium rare is requested. The service was nothing special, just that service. So my mom and I had to eat at different times because of the kitchens lack of job skills, the salad had a long black hair in it, a gang of servers crowded around our table yelling over a stupid birthday spraying spit all over and we had to stick around at least another half hour waiting for the correct order to put at totally different times. I will never go back there. Ever. If I ever screwed up like that at my job when people are paying those prices it would be unacceptable. I would never get away with the actions that place seems to dole out on a regular basis. It's a steakhouse and you can't temp the steaks correctly?? Cmon get it together. There's just NO excuse for that. That should be the one thing you get right. Save your money money and potentially health. They might want to put that birthday crap on hold for now. It's absolutely ridiculous that you would purposely gather people around other patrons tables for the sole purpose of yelling and spraying saliva all over in a post era Covid situation. This is the place where I took my family to celebrate my adult son's birthday. All was great, the hostess, the servers, the food and the drinks. Ok I used to love this place but lately I've been disappointed. We always come for Prime Rib and it's always at reasonable times like early for dinner around 6 pm. We went to Texas Roadhouse yesterday and based on reviews on another site, we called ahead so that we wouldn't have to wait so long. Was my first time there and I am fairly certain I won't go back, not because of the food but the service! Let me explain. We called ahead so we only waited 15 mins to be seated. Was very crowded and the music is TOO loud! It's so loud that I couldn't hear our server, so this is a good place for a first date, because if you have nothing in common OR, if you're shy, you can't really talk to each other anyway at this place! LOL. But because it was so busy our food, appetizers, entrees, everything, was brought to our table all at once so we couldn't pace ourselves because we now had a ton of food and plates in front of us and felt rushed to eat fast so that nothing got too cold! Also, our server started asking us if we wanted boxes to bring home leftovers literally only 15mins after all our food was dumped in front of us! And so I didn't get to eat my entree because we felt rushed all the way around to eat and get out! Listen folks, the food IS good, but "wait an hour and a half" good? NOT really. The staff is polite, the restaurant itself is nicely decorated so you really do feel like you're in a Roadhouse in Texas ( lived in Killeen TX yrs ago). The food is good and the prices are VERY reasonable! But they better learn how to handle crowds better without having to RUSH the other diners just to make room! Worst experience ever tonight. Second time I tried to order the Prime Rib and they were all out of it. Bread was served with a blue plastic whisker item that didn't belong. Waited 25 mins for food - Ordered a medium rare cheeseburger instead and said nothing but cheese. It was served medium well with lettuce tomato and onions. Daughter ordered corn as a side. We were definitely an annoying table who kept asking for stuff but she was always smiling.
