I come here several times a month since I moved to the Dallas area. Atmosphere and service is good...no complaints here. It is funny that not once have I had my meat cooked the way I want it. This past Saturday was no exception. Many times before I've sent it back and they were good in replacing it. Other times I just ate it and not bothered with the wait. One time I decided not to wait for another steak since my family had finished eating and were waiting on me. The manager challenged me...I had probably waited about 75 minutes when they gave me my steak but my family had finished eating their food a while back and decided not to accept it. The manager insisted on me taking it and paying for it. Once you take it home and reheat the steak it is no longer the same. Not worth the price to have it cooked to taste and given to you to eat. They should work on the cooks. Tipped the staff 20% since it is not their fault the cooks still need learning. read more

I love Texas Roadhouse but this location not so much, the service was better than usual but the Ribeye was over cooked ( I ordered medium) and received medium well / well and very salty. I could tell they used a press because it was Discolored and dry .. the server was great and offered a new one but I passed knowing It would probably have the press put on it .. I did have to ask for a manager to remove the dinner of the ticket ( I didn't eat more than two bites ) because of the salt .. and no apology was offered but I'm ok with that .. I was completely blown away by how amazing this place was. I ordered the grilled shrimp and filet with a loaded baked potato and Caesar side salad. Everything was absolutely delicious. My steak was tender, flavorful and perfectly cooked. The potato was crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and the skin was crusted with sea salt. The salad dressing here is fantastic as well. The staff was kind and fast, particularly considering how packed it was. My only suggestion would be to add chives as an option for the loaded potatoes. My first visit And I'm in LOVE. I arrived hungry and those hot rolls did not disappoint. So my friends that live here suggested this restaurant, they said it's their favorite. My husband and I are traveling from California and definitely looking forward to a good meal. Let me tell you from my house salad to green beans impressive! I had the ribs, they are seasoned to perfection, the sauce was tangy and slightly sweet. I never even picked up the rib bone, the meat fell off with the touch of a fork. I was able to clean those bones ... Everyone else had steak and potatoes, every plate was cleaned. After eating so many rolls we didn't have dessert. This place has the worst service I have ever experienced at any road house. The front desk girls were extremely rude and just had the worst attitude, I walk in and just want to get a table. She looks at me and no greeting, just tells me it's a 30 min wait unless I sit at the bar. I just decide to sit the bar. Great two mad faced bar tenders... no bread offered, no greeting. Stopped in around 5:30 on a Monday. The place was pretty busy already but we were seated immediately. I had the filet steak salad and it was delicious with a generous portion of steak, cooked perfectly. It comes with a slightly sweet sort of mustard vinaigrette as well as blue cheese dressing. I got both dressings on the side and they were delicious. My companion had the chicken fried steak, seasoned rice and corn, which he liked a lot. The rolls were great. The highlight though was our server Alexis. She was professional, friendly, efficient and checked with us often to see if we needed anything. The manager also stopped by to see how we were doing. They were out of their signature peanuts but the great service more than made up for it. For a casual dining chain restaurant, the service and food quality is top notch. Just stopped by for a quick dinner at our local Texas Roadhouse and really got the best service. Our server Mack took care of us so well I had to write this review since I couldn't tell her manager what wonderful service we received. Usually the service here is good but she and the team really took it to the next level. Again thanks Mack. Now for the food, Roadhouse is always a great place for a steak. We had a perfectly cooked ribeye medium with a well loaded baked potato. We also had a bacon cheese burger which was juicy and fresh with the well done fries. Went with my family to this Irving establishment twice already just for the staff offering greetings and welcome to a lively casual atmosphere (if you don't mind country music as to it is part of Texas, right?) as we are getting ready to be seated at the table or booth. Each table is offered complementary bucket of peanuts, and we are allowed to dispose the shells on the floor. It's our prerogative. Ha! Turns out our reason for us to eat here is the free appetizer offering, which is the Cactus Blossom, a blooming golden-fried onion pedals. It came out piping hot at first, so take a minute or two to cool down a little bit before digging in. We ended up devouring it. It's perfectly cooked and well seasoned, accompanying with a zesty horseradish sauce. The rolls are soft to our satisfaction, combined with cinnamon butter is to die for. Our first visit, I had the Roadkill chop steak with onions, mushrooms, and jack cheese, and it was divine. For those who can't stand the dense chewiness like the regular steaks, but gotta have a steak, enjoy this dish. Along with heavenly baked potato; a bit too much salt for some, but hasn't been up to dismay for me. However, the house and caesar side salads are quite lame. The greens are a bit wilted, and the ranch dressing have a weird taste to it. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our first meal here, and we were left with smiles and full stomachs. Our second visit, I had the Ribeye and Ribs combo, accompanied with the usual delectable baked potato, and we decided to try the veggies. Once again, the tender and flavorful steaks are as good as it gets. The veggies, not so much as the salads are. I wonder what is up with that, or is that how it's made? The green beans have a smoky taste to it like there's liquid smoke added to it. And the steamed broccoli and carrots are just okay; nothing to write home about. About the ribs, they're surprisingly good. The bones fell off easily, then took my first bite of the tender ribs and it was like butter, just like the steaks. We still enjoyed our meals as well. The service and staff are friendly, offered us smiles, and kept our drinks refilled; meaning y'all are giving us, as well as everybody who eats at your place a great reputation. Okay as a server myself I won't leave a bad review but, damn. First off it took 15 minutes to get greeted, & on a Friday night I understand it's busy. Then to hear the waitress "sunny" complaining about getting a lower tip, which I tipped more than 20%, is so trashy. I should have changed my tip to 0 as well. I had the worst service with Shai. When she brought us our drinks she didn't serve them to us. She asked my husband to grab the water and tea from tray not once but twice. I asked for peanuts and it seemed to bother her as she walked off shaking her head. More people came in and we wanted to see if she was doing this to everyone. Two tables we're served their drinks. Odd I thought..and maybe because I wanted peanuts??? She did noT clear off table with all the glasses, empty roll basket and salad bowl. The food finally came out and my steak was not cooked medium well. It was well done. She took it back and then the manager came to bring me another steak which was bigger but raw. We had a really good experience on Labor Day. Our waitress Onyae was very nice, polite, and attentive. I ordered the full rack of ribs. I could barely finish the first rack. The baked potatoes were very salty and the rice was unpleasant. The broccoli was soggy. I was hoping for them to be crunchy. The lady ordered the smothered chicken with jack cheese. Very good. So we ordered 3 chicken salads for take out as you can't go inside because of the covid-19 virus. Placed the order and requested 3 rolls each. They said nope only can give you 2 rolls per person. When we got home only had 4 rolls. Wtf. 4 rolls 3 salads someone can't count. Salads were small, had I been dine in the lettuce would be rich and dark green and so much you could not eat it all. We gave this place a chance to help local restaurants during this time but I would not order take out from Roadhouse again. Firstly I have to preface this review with the caveat that this particular area has suffered a multi-decade drought of decent restaurants, and that absolutely factors into the rating. However, due to an influx of Californians and other domestic refugees, this area has begun to flourish. While there already was a Saltgrass across the highway, Texas Roadhouse does the All-American Steakhouse slightly better and for less coin, at least in my opinion. Staff is friendly, perhaps too friendly. They sometimes sing and dance when you enter, and our waitress almost offered to cut my steak into little bit sized pieces for me (only kidding). Prices are very reasonable, and I almost felt thrifty eating there. Their app typically provides free appetizers, which you might not even need given the on the house yeast rolls. Which, while being a favorite of mine, could use two variants of butter. The cinnamon sugar butter is great, but I would prefer some sort of salted clotted cream or plain whipped butter. Beer and drink selection is rangebound, but understandably cheap. They even have a small glass window case where you can pick out your steak, if you so desire. The meat is certainly not prime, and I was not actually sure of what grade it was, I would assume USDA Choice. Steaks for the most part come out as requested, and with beautiful diamond sear marks. Glutamate rich steak sauce is provided for at every table. The portions are huge, and I would prepare to bring some home to avoid unnecessary waste/spoilage. With all the complementary notes out of the way, I do have a few qualms. The sides are very basic, and could use very slight alterations. The side corn could easily be grilled, then served, the baked potato is lacking garnish (green onions), and the salad was overly dressed in seriously calorically dense dressing, and didn't have that true steakhouse salad feel. Throw in a trendy IPA into the beer rotation, spruce up the sides, introduce the use of garnish, and Texas Roadhouse becomes the be all end all chain steak restaurant.
