June 24, 2026 was our first visit to this Knoxville location; the previous tries near West Town Mall and the former East Town area were pathetic. Although the parking lot was busy at 5:20, we were seated immediately and our server was Lily. What a difference! Lily was quick to take drink orders, and bring water and bread. She was very attentive when taking our orders. I ordered a baked sweet potato, and she was quick to ask if I wanted it topped with marshmallows, brown sugar and cinnamon along with butter. I told her no marshmallows, and she brought the sugar/cinnamon on the side. Lily checked on us frequently, but not so much as to be bothersome. The filet medallions were cooked perfectly. When my husband orders "rare", he means walk the cow around the grill once. DELICIOUS. I had grilled pork chops, and they were moist, tender, and grilled to perfection. We had so much food we each had a "grouch pouch" to go. The only (minor) issue was that the rice was a bit under cooked, but still delicious. My baked potato was served hot, with butter melting on top. Another location is was served so cold the pat of butter wouldn't even melt! The Turkey Drive location was quite a drive from our home, but Lily service was so great and the food so wonderful, we'll visit that location again. It was my husband's birthday, and I was hesitant to visit Texas Roadhouse, even suggesting Ruth's Chris Steakhouse instead. Good thing for him and my credit card we settled on Texas Roadhouse. We've been to the Texas roadhouse many times all over the country. Four of us went and three of us ordered steak two medium, one medium rare. One of the mediums with medium rare the medium rare was medium, and the medium one was medium well not a showstopper, but still wrong. I ordered the fresh vegetables as one of my sides, which is carrots and broccoli. It was as if they chopped the vegetables up, put them in a bowl and poured hot liquid over them. They weren't even close to being cooked. I blame the whole experience on poor training of the employees. The waitress was fantastic. Very attentive will go again, but when we do go, we will make emphasis on the specifics that I mentioned. read more

I went to this Texas Roadhouse with my in laws and twins around lunch time. The Early Dine menu had plenty of food items to choose from. Slightly disappointed that the Bacon Cheeseburger is no longer on the Early Dine menu. Our waitress was really nice and kept our water cups filled. I had the 6oz sirloin steak dinner. The flavor was nice but a little more done than I cared for. The sweet potato with cinnamon butter had amazing flavor. I typically only love sweet potato French fries, but the flavor for the sweet potato was comparable. My husband had the Bacon Cheeseburger. My husband thought it was ok; but the burger had been cooled off so much that the cheese remained in a solid American style cheese patty. The burger itself was a little salty and dry; but definitely still audible. My father in law had the BBQ Chicken dinner with mixed veggies and fries. The vegetables were made perfectly. The chicken was appropriately proportioned but kind of generic. His expectation would be an off-the-grill taste; and was thoroughly disappointed but still ate his food. My mother in law had the BBQ Chicken dinner with broccoli and baked potato. She enjoyed her veggies immensely. She asked for baked potato on the side but they put it on her baked potato. The chicken felt very plain and should have had more grill flavor. I went into the ladies restroom to change my son; and while everything was available, the changing table was dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Disappointed, as I have been to many Texas Roadhouses, and have never had such an off experience all around. A little disappointing this time. We arrived for a late lunch with our 2-year-old granddaughter and were seated in the back next to the opening of the kitchen. Soon thereafter, 2 servers (one who said she was in training) brought us a booster seat and rolls with sweet butter; however, the trainee brought us no plates. We ate our rolls and laid them down on napkins until we could get her attention and ask for plates and another set of silverware for our grandchild. After taking our orders, she returned with the appetizers called Rattlesnake Bites, deep-fried balls of melty Jack cheese and diced jalapeños. While they were tasty, they also were greasy, so we folded napkins and placed them under the bites in the basket to absorb the grease. The 2 cocktails we ordered to enjoy with the appetizers didn't arrive until our steak entrees came. The steaks were perfectly cooked, and my spouse enjoyed his baked potato, yet our yummy green beans were lukewarm, so the trainee brought me a new and hotter dish of them. We served the cooler ones to our grandchild who also ate my applesauce and pieces of both our steaks. The curbside spots are all clearly labeled, our food was ready within 20 minutes (during dinner on a weekend!) and they came to the car promptly with our mountain of meat. Aside from them forgetting the blue cheese on the steak that we had paid extra for, service was a 5-star experience. The food was good. They definitely excel with the steak and the rolls. I got the shrimp and filet combo. The filet in particular was so flavorful and tender, and cooked perfectly...which is hard to accomplish with to-go orders it seems. The shrimp (5) were seasoned really well and came with a side of herb butter. They had so much flavor that I ended up using the butter on the bland veggies. The mashed potatoes were fine. Served their purpose. My husband got the ribeye and rib combo. Guess he is a rib-tastic fan? He said there were some bites of ribs and steak that were tender and good but both were mostly overly chewy. He did really like his steak fries and said they were crispy and well-seasoned. I went in early when they opened at lunch. Tall heavy dark haired hostess was surely and rude. 1/3 amount of restaurant was full and she sat me in the back in a booth by the restrooms with no server. I went to ask for a different table and was sat in a space with no server. After 18 minutes of no one coming by, I left. Horrible experience. Our kids really like going to Texas Roadhouse. It's hard not to like the rolls with cinnamon butter that are sitting there waiting to be eaten as soon as you sit down. The menu is huge and doesn't seem to have a lot of healthy food, but there are plenty of American comfort food options. Given this, I opted for potato skins. It's a guilty pleasure of mine. My husband and I ate here on a Friday night. We made sure we used their website to get on the waiting list while driving to the restaurant. I'm glad we did because we could hardly find parking! It was a busy night, but once we checked-in we only had a 10 min wait. When we eat here, we always order our usual...the 6 oz. sirlion (medium rare, of course) that comes with 2 sides. First time was an amazing lunch for my 86 year old father. Food and service top notch! Returned for dinner with just the hubs a couple of weeks later and from the time we walked in the door we wished we could turn back time. Not sure who hires host stand personnel but I would choose people with welcoming personalities versus the current apathetic teenagers. Found seats at the bar in lieu of the wait and felt hopeful again. Hope evaporated with our food order: ice cold ribs, under cooked baked potatoes, and a piece of meat mislabeled as filet mignon. I would call it a grisly poor cut of beef and not cooked correctly. Bartender read my face and quickly replaced the steak with a true filet. Too bad they didn't send it out first. Won't be back ever. Went today for my wife's birthday dinner with our kids, my wife's chicken pasta came out burnt and distasteful, and there was a dark colored slimy piece of chicken that was questionable, so they did offer a remake and take it off the tab which is why they got a 3 star instead of 2. My mashed potatoes were very cold and runny, I didn't eat them no I did not bring it up since I was more concerned about my wife's food, and the smokehouse burger was very mediocre. Not quite sure why they use sautéed onions and fresh onions in the same burger but that's non of my business I won't be ordering that item again. So my girlfriend and I chose to stop at this Texas Roadhouse for some dinner. We were very excited as we don't go out to eat that often. We walk and and get seated right away. Our server asked us what we want to drink. We had ordered a beer, and a fresh brewed coffee. We had also ordered an appetizer- fried pickles. We had received the drinks pretty quickly, unfortunately the "fresh brewed coffee" was cold. We asked the server to take it back and replace it with a different drink. She then says "well I didn't know it was cold". Well I sure hope you didn't know... Then we had ordered the 23oz porter house, rare. The fried pickles came to us about 15 min later, but they were perfect. Then only 5 min later we received our steak. Our server set the steak on our table and asked us how it looked. We said "yup, looks fine to us". She walks away and we cut it to it. I love my steaks rare, but this steak was raw. They had to have put it on the grill for approximately 30 sec each side and called it good. Our server never checked on us after that. After 10 min of waiting around for her a different server noticed us needing assistance and retrieved our server for us. We explain to her that the steak is raw and that we would like a new one. She then says "I can have them put it back on the grill for you" I promptly denied that offer because it had been on my plate for over 10+ minutes at that point. She then makes the same offer to me! I'm sorry but I would want a fresh one at that point for what I'm paying for it. After that we were pretty much done dealing with our server and said forget it, we don't want the steak please give us the bill. Then we left. Ok, I ordered food for curbside pick up, got a text that said my order was ready and I was in the parking lot already. I texted the number on the SIGN saying I was in space 5 and waited over 15 minutes, I had to call the restaurant and go thru the 5 minute menu and finally when someone answered I told them I had text twice, they came out with the food and I ask why I had to wait now almost 20 minutes and showed them the text and the guy said the number on the sign was was wrong and I was supposed to text the number that told me my order was ready, but that was not clear. I ask him how long the song has been wrong and he said for a long time. So my Q is why a manager does not change the flipping sign, got the food home, barley warm, they forgot the salad and the side of sour cream and cheese for baked potato had a black hair in it. I went there with my daughter this past week. It was the Turkey Creek site. Things started okay and we had a great server. But the problem was there were about 3 people in our vicinity that had birthdays. The decibels of screaming were off the chart and I had to have my meal boxed up to get out and the speaker with the country music got louder and it was impossible to hear, think and with that said my ability to taste, was zill. My food was not good. The salad was wilted, the potato was overcooked and the Dallas steak was under seasoned and rubbery. My last ever visit to any Texas Roadhouse ever. This is the first time my mother and I have been to this location, and since I had an appointment at the hospital there, we decided to try it. We usually go to the Kingston Pike location, and we've always enjoyed it. Today's visit didn't disappoint! Sometimes quality differs between locations (Cracker Barrel and Red Lobster are two I can think of right off the top of my head) but not here! Everything was wonderful.
