What I didn't like is the busboy or server or whoever he was, who continuously stood behind my seat, no more than 2 feet over my shoulder! I myself am in shock that I'm writing this review for Texas Roadhouse. I love, love, love to frequent this location the service is usually good and so is the food. However, this past Valentine's Day my wife ordered our food for pick up since it was during a weekday and we had worked late that day. When she brought the food home this is what we were presented with burnt food that you couldn't eat and smashed up dinner rolls. I don't know how someone could serve this to anyone let alone paying customers. Texas Roadhouse please explain to me how this is acceptable service. read more

I give places chances before I go to social media .... and thrice ( 3x ) times I've been sourly disappointed. The kitchen was horribly slow and the wait staff suffers. Our food took 40+ mins and came out to the table cold and unappealing. My medium well ribeye came out very well done - the table shook as I tried to cut into it. while they try to stuff you with the rolls - by the way are delicious... it takes away from tummy space to enjoy the entrees. sadly enough.... we won't be returning. read more

Good chain restaurant. Place seems clean. I sat at the bar and ordered with a friend and the bartender was efficient. Not overly friendly nor was she hostile. Very neutral. I consider the food to be better than Outback. To sum up it won't blow you away but the food is good and you won't be offended by the staff. Get the fried pickles. read more

The "To-Go" service was extremely slow. When my order came out, the ribs were burnt and inedible. I sent it back. The second time, they came out fine. The only thing I don't like it sometimes if you have a large group, they will not sit you with your group they'll sit them away from you . We have been customers of Texas Roadhouse for years. Have eaten at them all across the country, but this one is the worst we have been too. We stopped for lunch today and everything about the experience was bad. The server took forever to bring three waters. When the appetizer arrived she forgot the plates and went back to get them....and never came back. I had to flag down another waitress to have them bring us plates. Then the server just let all of the plates stack up. She never came to take away the appetizer plates or roll basket. She also never came to ask us if we wanted additional rolls. As for the food. Everything was dry. My daughter had Mac and cheese and it was completely dried out. The mashed potatoes were so dry they were inedible. The potato skins on the appetizer platter were cold and dry like they'd been made hours before and set out to wait for us. Overall the food was like it was day old catering food that sat out overnight. That and the horrible service will ensure we never eat here again. It's too bad too. The rolls are delicious. read more

I absolutely love the TRH in Bowie, MD, so when I found out there was one in LaPlata, which is a bit closer to where my boyfriend lives, I was THRILLED!!! We have visited this location twice and both times were just OK. The first time we went, I discovered that the food did not have the same taste/quality as the one in Bowie. I get it...different chefs, but really? The first time we went, I had the grilled shrimp dinner. It was ok but not nearly as awesomely seasoned as the same dish in the Bowie location. I let it slide.... This last time we went, I had the pulled pork, which dinner, which is a fav at the Bowie location and based on the picture I've attached, someone forgot to pull the port apart before serving it to me! I was disgusted and vowed never to return to this location unless I am in the mood for a salad. Hopefully they couldn't mess that up. Finally, we had to ask for bread after being seated for a few minutes. The one in Bowie SEATS you with bread. There just is no comparative. I was part of a group of 18 that has a reservation for dinner. The reservation was set for 4:30 and we still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. During that time, my husband went to the bar to order drinks. He asked for a margarita with no sour mix and he was told all of the margaritas were premade. Makes no sense to me that a restaurant with a full bar can not make a margarita vice using a mix. Then they attempted to seat us at 3 tables. This was not enough space. The hostess and what was possibly either the manager or lead both stated that the booths seats our party size. We had people of varying sizes and we would have been extremely tight in the booths. When we asked about a 4th table that was empty next to our other tables, the hostess said "No. That is for another table". After several of us indicated we could not fit in just three tables, the manager stated she could give us another table. We really should not have had to go through that to be seated. The food was average. I ordered a skinny margarita (which had no sour mix by the way) and it had way too much lime juice. The time to get our checks was extremely long and several people in the party had issues with their checks. read more

I love it here! This is a great local option for good bread, salad, steak, ribs, etc. The complementary rolls they serve when you sit down are sooooo good! They give you 4 rolls and a delicious honey butter to go with them. I do wish they gave more butter for the rolls cause it is so good. They will give you more if you ask though. You also can pick out your steak before you sit down. They have them on display and you can put a tag on it for when you order it. It's a unique thing I haven't seen any other restaurant do. I absolutely love their side salad. It has eggs, tomatoes and cheese on it and it is so good!! I just love those toppings together and it is different than your typical carrots and cucumbers that you get everywhere else. You can also get a larger version of this salad as an entree with fried chicken tenders on top. I get this often! The only thing I don't care for is the open peanut bins and crushed peanut shells all over the floor! I get that is their claim to fame but it's just so messy and feels weird to be crunching on peanut shells everywhere you walk! This is my very first time coming here despite living in the area for over 20 years. I came with a very large party and we fortunately had reservations because this place was packed on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated pretty quickly despite this, however they attempted to seat our party of about 20 adults in 3 booths. That definitely was not going to work. Eventually we were given 4 booths and things went relatively smoothly after that. The place was very noisy but I could still hear everyone at my booth, the prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. We were hoping to enjoy our meal here as we have before but not on this visit. MY ribeye steak arrived well done when I ordered medium rare. It took more than 15 minutes to receive a replacement steak that was still not medium rare but by the time I got it, my dining companions had finished their meal so I just accepted the steak and asked for it to go. The manager just asked me if I wanted yet another replacement steak, but by then it was way too late. Now Texas Roadhouse also cranks up its music extremely loud, so loud you can't hear the person next to you so they can do line dancing in the aisles by their employees. We were not the only people to complain. As a comment to the manager, stop the line dancing we didn't come to a country western bar, we just wanted a good meal. Hadn't visited TR in quite some time. First time at this location. Went with my mom and we sat at the bar. My mom ordered a Cosmo for drink and I had the Old Fashion. Drinks were good, service was great and good hit the spot. Randall was our bartender/server and had great energy and was very attentive and friendly. My mom ordered a trio with ribs, ribeye steak with mushroom and onion toppings, and shrimp with a loaded potato and house salad. Needless to say she needed a box for leftovers. I ordered the filet steak with shrimp with mashed potatoes and Caesar salad. Everything was great and reasonably priced. When i called the restaurant, the only option was for e to drive 20 minutes to pick the missing items up or take a 15-dollar coupon. The last time this happened at a restaurant the manager had the person who checked the order to deliver the missing items to our house. As he told me either they did not do their job or I was telling a story. The person arrived at my house told me they were sorry, and it was all good. That was customer service. May 14, 2022 - we called ahead to reserve seats because we had a party of 11. While we were waiting to be seated a female employee came to us and stated she can only seat 4 of us now. When we asked why she was only seating 4 of our party of 11 she acted as if she didn't care. We asked her if the rest of our party would at least going to be seated near the first 4 and she just said she couldn't guarantee the rest of our party would even be near the first four. This employee acted as if she didn't give two cents about even trying to accommodate our party of 11 to make sure we were togethe. Who wants their party to be separated for a celebration dinner. I like to use the old three strike system for steakhouses before I totally give up. Here they are: 1. It took about an hour to get our food. Steak wasn't prepared properly, and service was nonexistent after food was brought out. 2. Something about the quality of meat is off. It isn't what it used to be and has an odd texture. Appetizer never showed up, so we ate our meal when it arrived. It still showed up on the bill. The waitress walked away after we mentioned it and returned with the cold appetizer. 3. Months later I was convinced to try this place one more time. Came in for lunch, about 30 minutes after they opened. Got seated in the back.. And there we sat. Went here last night with my travel buddy, her ex-bf, her bestie, and her family after coming back from her sister's Addams Family play at La Plata High School (it was too funny and cute lol). It looked like a really nice and loud place. We didn't wait too long to be seated (people who were there first were being seated before us, so we waited for less than 35 minutes). There were a lot peanut shells in the decorative waiting area by the jukebox, kinda added to the character of the place lol. My table ordered the cacti blossom as a free appetizer with a coupon my travel buddy/friend's lil sister had. The blossom was really good. And we had unlimited bread rolls (coupon not required lol) and the butter we spread on them was soooo good!!! Tasted like it had some cinnamon too. For dinner, I ordered the Smokehouse Burger well-done, it was pretty good and so were the fries (especially when you add ketchup on them). My daughter had BBQ chicken with Sirloin steak with house salad and mash potatoes with cheddar cheese on top. BBQ chicken and steak as well the mash potatoes were cold. My son in law had the half slab and mash potatoes and was also cold. We also waited 45 minutes to even be served with our food!!! When I asked the manager if it was microwaved he stated "no it was not" but the steak I ordered there was no char marks in the parts that I ate from being on the grill! I've been to Texas Roadhouse back in New Jersey my home state where I've ate multiple times. I came to this location in maryland on 6/20/18 since I am here on vacation and it was horrible. I ordered a smothered chicken with caesar salad and loaded mash. The salad was given on a dirty plate and after asking for a new one I received the same salad that looked bad just on a cleaner plate. As for my husband, his roasted bbq chicken was dry and had no flavor. The waitress Alyssa was very kind but the runner who brought the salad was very sarcastic by saying "here's your new salad".
