Had a good time visiting Texas Roadhouse. The service was great and we were sat down quickly thankfully before the rush. Our server was attentive all night. We were able to try the new spicy cactus blossom and it was delicious, great taste and a huge portion. They added a dipping cheese, spicy powder on top, and raw jalapeños which were all a great combo. Portions were great per usual. I got my typical steak medium rare and it was great. OMG I have so much to say! I had ordered a medium rare 16 oz ribeye, and when I got it, I couldn't bite into it without almost choking on the fat that was super hard to chew. The steak was so pink on the inside and was a very hard eat, due to both the Pinkness and the Fat. The texture of the meat was too very so weird and just keot changing with every bite. The server we had was absolutely amazing though, he was super nice and really chill, he brought up so many baskets of rolls and it just really made the atmosphere of the room light up. The steaks both me and my sister had ordered were both very pink, despite us ordering two different styles of how we'd like to cooked. I think that the flavor as a whole was good, it had all the qualities of a good steak, taste wise, but the only thing was that the steak was so unsettlingly pink on the inside, the whole thing on the inside was pink! My sister had ordered a 8 oz sirloin and had to give the rest to me because she had felt nauseous about how pink it was on the inside. Half of the steak was just fat and it gravely disappointed me because I was expecting something grand, I'm used to eating 12oz steaks, and this was my first time trying a 16 oz, and I am very disappointed, one, it wasnt even that big and was the equivalent to the 12oz steaks Im used to. Two, it was all just fat, only 20% of the steak was actually edible. Three, the unsettling Pinkness of the steak was even causing me to not want to eat it, and which is quite shocking to me and my family, as for I always leave not a crumb left when eating steak, as for it is my favorite food in the entire world! We have always had great experiences here. Our most recent experience, we went last Friday night at around 5 PM. It was already very busy in there, but they got us in quickly since there were only 2 of us. Our waitress was really nice and took great care of us, I wish I remembered her name. I had the mango margarita, we shared the fried pickles and the rolls of course, and I had the ribeye with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was great. About 1.5 hour wait time on a weekend evening so I do recommend calling ahead and get your party on the waitlist before arriving. Walked in and sat at the bar. Bar tender attended me right away. I decided to try their 14 oz steak with Okra', sweet potatoes, and bread! Man, that steak came out nice and hot! It tasted just the way I like it! No evidence was left on my plate of its existence! The sides and bread were the right touch to satisfy my evening hungry! This is a complete reversal of a previous rebiew! A 180 ! We took my grandson here for his birthday . The two stars comes from the server and the baked potato ! Service was very on point. Courteous but not intrusive. The rest well here goes!!! Three of us ordered steak, I think upon my recommendation from last time. The bone in ribeye was so salty so full of pepper and the steak itself was just terrible full of fat and grizzle! No one wanted to make waves or complain. Mistake ! I ate about three bites and cut off fat and grizzle. I watched the others struggle! Gave rest to my Siberian Husky. Maybe the chef changed who had a heavy hand but quality of meat was the absolute worst! I understand that the San Antonio Texas roadhouse restaurants are no longer part of Darden Group. My wife enjoys coming here more than I do. We came in for dinner, it's nice that you can use the Yelp app to get on a waiting list. We just live about 10-15 minutes away. So it's nice we can get on the waiting list. We got to sit down fairly quick. Place is always busy. Which is good I guess. I sometime like it when it's not too busy. The servers are more attentive, when it's not so busy. They have TV's, and you can sit at the bar, if you're interested in just watching a game. Plenty of drinks. Not a lot of craft beers to choose from, plenty of liquor drinks to order. We got the 6oz steak, I got mine medium cooked, it was okay, kinda tough, had to chew it to break it down. The veggies were good. I had loaded mashed potatoes. That said, it's just okay if you want a semi fast meal. Sometimes the wait is longer than sitting down to eat. read more

It was pretty busy for a weeknight and we ended up waiting for about an hour to get seated. We started off with the cactus blossom and of course the rolls and both were good as usual! I love fried onions and you can't go wrong with their warm rolls with cinnamon butter. For the main, my sister and I shared a ribeye steak with loaded mashed potatoes and corn. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and it was so juicy and flavorful. The sides were standard but still tasty. Our server was friendly and everything was brought out within a decent amount of time. I recently visited the Texas Roadhouse in Live Oak, Texas, and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. We ordered a 6-ounce sirloin, cooked medium-well, with a sweet potato and a salad with ranch, as well as a chicken-fried steak with brown gravy, loaded mac and cheese, and French fries. Unfortunately, the food quality was not up to par. The mac and cheese had to be sent back multiple times because it was served cold each time. Additionally, the service was not ideal. Our waiter engaged in unnecessary and uncomfortable conversations, and there were some problematic comments that were concerning. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and we left feeling unwell. I was throwing up within 15 minutes of leaving the restaurant. Either the waiter put something in our food or the food was the horribly cooked that it game me food poisoning. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves both food quality and service in the future. read more

We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. This was our first time at this specific location. The place was crowded (as every location is because we all love Texas Roadhouse duhhh so it's to be expected) and it was a little odd that we got a text that our table was ready but ended up still having to wait to be seated. Other than that our server was great, attentive and friendly (shout out Art). Everyone's plates were delicious, we didn't even wait long for our orders to come out. If you haven't had their side Caesar salad before you're surely missing out! Since these type of places are always crowded it can be a bit loud but luckily we got a table in the back which was more comfortable and we could talk at a normal volume. Will come back! We went to Texas roadhouse around 11:30 AM on Saturday. The wait wasn't too long once seated we ordered an appetizer and that came out really quick and then the waitress took our order. After about 20/25 minutes later, she came back and told us that our ticket got lost and that she needs to take our order again and they were going to move our order up to the front of the line. We both ordered Fort Worth ribeye, which were amazing. They were cooked to perfection and just melted in your mouth. We both had a loaded baked potato which I wasn't too happy with because they seem to be over cooked and really dry on the inside they weren't fluffy and fresh. My husband surprised me for a date night on Monday so we came here. The staff was very nice got us seated right away the issue with our table it was by the window and it was so cold that day air was coming in so just an fyi. The waitress was nice and accommodating but hard to get a hold of her if you wanted more items. Our food was good personally I'll never order the corn again it's literally just can corn with butter. I was expecting like a corn on the cob. My steak was good and cooked perfectly it cut right through. My husband loved his just didn't like his ribs. I wanted to update my review and say that the service has done an 180. Yesterday, T.R. was busy for Mother's Day but the service was on point. I used Yelp to place my name on the waitlist and probably waited another ten minutes at the restaurant before being seated. My waiter, Nicholas, was refreshing and friendly. Food tasted amazing and came out in a reasonable time, considering how busy it was for Mother's Day. Each table was decorated with flowers. My visit was the complete opposite of my last visit. While visiting San Antonio TX, I took my family to dinner to their closest location near Converse TX. Unfortunately dinner wasn't no were near as expected. Horrible service and when ask for the manager, she didn't make it right. Originally was told 30-45 minutes to be seated. I received the check in message saying 48-58. A couple minutes ok fine. After an hour wait my husband went to ask the status and she told him it would be another hour. When a few of us went to ask why an hour more, she stated that she never told him that "but whatever". After 1.5 waiting we decided to dine elsewhere. It's very rare for us to go eat as a family group and for my disabled father to feel up to going out. Between the hour and half waiting we witnessed multiple tables be taken back who all arrived after. We informed them we were willing to split to different tables. But no luck there. While we were dining at another location I received the message to go up to the stand, then shortly after a call. We informed them we selected elsewhere, the hostess at the stand decided to spam my phone with a "go to hostess stand" messages. This was petty, ridiculous, and rude behavior. Unfortunately we didn't get to eat the food there. But after the attitude that was given and then the pettiness to follow, I doubt we will be returning. read more

This Texas Roadhouse is pretty much excellent. With the App, the wait time is drastically reduced. Our server was excellent providing all our requests in a timely manner. As would be expected, the order was taken correctly and served even better. We were in a quieter area of the restaurant allowing us to talk freely without haveing to talk over other conversations. The food was cooked to perfection and we always enjoy the "peanuts". Remember, you now have to ask for them or you will not get them. Also, if there is more than one of you, make sure to ask for peanuts for each person that wants to eat them before dinner. read more
