    11oz Hand-Cut Sirloin*

Fresh and delicious. Everything from the onion in the Cactus Blossom, the side salad, rolls and meat was very fresh. This location was packed too. About 1.5 hour wait time on a weekend evening so I do recommend calling ahead and get your party on the waitlist before arriving. The staff was amazing and prompt when it came to taking our order and refilling our drinks. It is rather a noisy environment so be prepared for that. Especially if there is a party celebrating a birthday. You will know because The staff will scream the announcement to the entire audience.

Walked in and sat at the bar. Bar tender attended me right away. I decided to try their 14 oz steak with Okra', sweet potatoes, and bread! Man, that steak came out nice and hot! It tasted just the way I like it! No evidence was left on my plate of its existence! The sides and bread were the right touch to satisfy my evening hungry! Very please with the bar tender's attention and speed of the food. Place has a lot of seating space for large parties to single person.

Excellent service, tasty food, and welcoming Texas ambience. This restaurant gets busy on weekends, so during the week you will enjoy a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere. If you want a well-cooked steak, Texas Roadhouse is the place to go!

My wife enjoys coming here more than I do. We came in for dinner, it's nice that you can use the Yelp app to get on a waiting list. We just live about 10-15 minutes away. So it's nice we can get on the waiting list. We got to sit down fairly quick. Place is always busy. Which is good I guess. I sometime like it when it's not too busy. The servers are more attentive, when it's not so busy. They have TV's, and you can sit at the bar, if you're interested in just watching a game. Plenty of drinks. Not a lot of craft beers to choose from, plenty of liquor drinks to order. We got the 6oz steak, I got mine medium cooked, it was okay, kinda tough, had to chew it to break it down. The veggies were good. I had loaded mashed potatoes. That said, it's just okay if you want a semi fast meal. Sometimes the wait is longer than sitting down to eat.

Texas Roadhouse is just a staple of good steaks consistently being great. With certainty I can say that I've never had a bad steak there nor a bad bread roll lol. Their drinks are good, all their food is delicious. I've always had good service. Glad there's places that will always smack no matter what.

It's been awhile since we had Texas Roadhouse and I don't have one where we live so I was excited to eat here! It was pretty busy for a weeknight and we ended up waiting for about an hour to get seated. We started off with the cactus blossom and of course the rolls and both were good as usual! I love fried onions and you can't go wrong with their warm rolls with cinnamon butter. For the main, my sister and I shared a ribeye steak with loaded mashed potatoes and corn. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and it was so juicy and flavorful. The sides were standard but still tasty. Our server was friendly and everything was brought out within a decent amount of time. Texas Roadhouse is a great place for a delicious casual dinner! The place gets really busy and loud so make sure to come early if you don't want to wait too long.

The food was amazing...I enjoyed a nice 8oz steak with three grilled shrimp. The Caesar salad was perfect, just enough dressing. My sister enjoyed the steak kabob. The service was great and the ambiance was pleasant. Multiple TV's with options of shows/games to enjoy. The price was perfect. Nothing was over priced.

We went to Roadhouse last night, 4/11/26. Live oak. There was a fungus gnat in salad. Mgr was not surprised. So sad. We left.

Not overly sweet and may have included mustard. Brisket was good, but not great. It really needed more smoking time to get a thicker smoke ring and cold have benefitted by more bark. The turkey was tasty and had a good smoke flavor. The green beans were cooked with bacon and seasoned with pepper. I liked the flavor, but the beans were too mushy for me. I wish they used fresh green beans. The mac and cheese was very good. Nice and creamy with a good cheese flavor.

We ordered a pound of moist brisket and a jalapeno sausage link and some drinks and were served promptly by the friendly staff. Since it was the middle of the afternoon they weren't busy but the place was clean and the staff was helpful. Now, the taste test. The brisket was hot, juicy, and very flavorful. The jalapeno sausage link was also spicy with great snap and it was quite tasty. Yes, we didn't get any sides but I don't go to a BBQ place to eat sides. I want to taste the MEAT and it was delicious and the star of the show. I'm not a big sauce guy either but their Rudy's sause IG good with a tangy flavor. While they may not be on the Texas Monthly list of top BBQ places, they put out a satisfying meal for the money and are veteran friendly offering a free meal when they sign up for their veterans club. The only drawback at this location is that the highway construction makes entry and exit tough. Good experience, we will be back!

But once we sat down, it made sense. Everything is made to order, and you can taste the difference. There was only one server handling the entire floor, and when a rush hit all at once, it definitely got busy fast. But here's the thing... she handled it with grace. Even when you could tell she was juggling a lot, she stayed attentive, kind, and kept checking in on us. That kind of effort deserves recognition. Now let's talk about the real star of the show... The Texas French Toast. Oh. My. Goodness. Thick, golden, perfectly cooked slices topped with homemade whipped cream and fresh berries that tasted like they were picked that morning. It wasn't just good, it was indulgent in the best way. Sweet without being overwhelming. Rich but balanced. I couldn't even finish it (which says a lot), and happily boxed the rest up. The only regret? I ate all the berries first. Rookie mistake. My husband ordered one of the hash plates and said it was solid comfort food... hearty, flavorful, and filling. He couldn't finish his either, so I'm definitely sneaking a few bites later. Overall, we left impressed. The food feels intentional. The flavors feel thoughtful. It's the kind of local spot you want to root for. And the fact that they serve pork lumpia for lunch? Say less. We'll be back for that. If you're looking for a cozy, made-from-scratch brunch spot in Universal City, this one is worth the wait. Good food takes time, and this place proves it. ***This review is based on my taste buds. Both dishes were overwhelmingly salty, and the salt overpowered the flavors of each entrée. The biscuit served with the eggs bene was dry, and the ham on my eggs benedict tasted like cheap lunch meat, which was really underwhelming for a dish like this. While the eggs themselves were cooked well, I couldn't help but wonder, where was the Hollandaise sauce? The key part of the dish was missing. The pulled pork biscuit was tasty, but again - it was overly salty.

AH. WANTED TO LOVE IT, DIDN'T END UP EVEN LIKING IT. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE THOUGH!…read more Service: 4/5 It looked like a one man show- I can appreciate that. The man who I assume could be the owner, was a server, cashier, and the cleaning crew. Haha. He looked a bit serious but he was very kind. Food: 2/5 I hate to admit it, but just like some of the lower reviews said- the food was so bland. I mean, not a taste of seasoning. I ordered a chicken fried biscuit with gravy, and it came with potatoes. My sister ordered a bacon croissant. I'll start off with mine. They did give me a rather large hunk of chicken; the batter slid right off and the chicken itself was tasteless, I do mean absolutely tasteless :( The biscuit was so dry, and crumbly. Possibly day old? Not sure. I slapped some of their homemade jam (Now that jam was wonderful! ) however they don't give too much of anything (butter, gravy, jam) so I do feel the sandwich would be better if it was maybe made smaller? I'm not sure. It was just a huge biscuit with nothing to slather it with. The gravy portion is really not fair, lol. Since the biscuit was super dry and again SUPER bland, I do feel they should make the gravy a bigger portion. My sister said her bacon croissant "was nothing special. I could've made it at home." I also want to throw out there that their drinks also need some help. I ordered a strawberry lemonade, my sister did a "freshly brewed tea" ah. The tea was bitter as heck and the lemonade tasted like it was pure strawberry syrup. :( Price: 2/5 I spent $30.00 on two plates, that Indeed we could've just made at home for 1/3 of the price. I know food is at an all time high right now, but this meal was not worth my hard earned money. We couldn't find one thing we actually enjoyed about it. Overall: 1/5. I hate to be honest because I really want to see small shops thrive; whenever I go to a restaurant I ask myself "Would you come back?" And the answer for Happy Cafe is absolutely not. The food, the atmosphere, the drinks, everything was just not for us. The restaurant itself needs some deep cleaning, an upgraded menu, and maybe some new tables (ours were peeling and super sticky) however, if I'm being honest I can get past that- but I simply will not return due to the food. As some of the others said, I don't know how this place is so highly rated (love that for them) but it just wasn't for me and my family, maybe it will be for yours.
