Originally was told 30-45 minutes to be seated. I received the check in message saying 48-58. A couple minutes ok fine. After an hour wait my husband went to ask the status and she told him it would be another hour. When a few of us went to ask why an hour more, she stated that she never told him that "but whatever". After 1.5 waiting we decided to dine elsewhere. It's very rare for us to go eat as a family group and for my disabled father to feel up to going out. Between the hour and half waiting we witnessed multiple tables be taken back who all arrived after. We informed them we were willing to split to different tables. But no luck there. While we were dining at another location I received the message to go up to the stand, then shortly after a call. We informed them we selected elsewhere, the hostess at the stand decided to spam my phone with a "go to hostess stand" messages. This was petty, ridiculous, and rude behavior. It's our anniversary and the wife wanted prime rib so we got in line using the app since it was a 1.5hr wait. Must have been homecoming due to all the kids dressed up standing outside. Let me tell you it was packed. I really wish the wouldn't have taken the inside waiting area and made it the "To Go" area. This limited the seating inside to about 10 with everyone else having to wear in the heat outside. Really bad move if ya ask me especially when there is usually a wait for a table. Linda was our waitress who really did a great job and made us feel like we were special. With it being so busy I fully expected a waitress/waiter to have an attitude but Linda greeted us with a smile and always had a smile on her face. It's been a minute since I've been to a Texas Roadhouse, and "when in Rome," well you know. In any case, the place was packed at 3:30pm...we waited patiently for the 40min to be seated. The greeter seated our party of five in a booth, where our server, Jackie, introduced herself, provided us with fresh hot rolls and cinnamon butter, and took our drink order. She was friendly and efficient. She provided my family excellent service. We did not want for anything. If I might recommend, pre-mixing the loaded sides. I ordered the loaded mash potatoes, which could have been better if the ingredients were mixed into the mash potatoes rather than just placed on top. I don't know if I would have been charged 99c extra for ordering a side of cheese, a side of bacon bits, and sour cream. That said... I enjoyed the green beans, the cup of chili (with cheese and onions), and baked sweet potatoes. Those sides were great. My kids fries looked nice and crispy. Let me tell you about the proteins... my 12-oz ribeye was great. However, after eating the rolls, the chili, and water... well, I'm neither sabretooth tiger nor a 20-year old. 12-oz is more than plenty... that's to say that the pregame treats are good (hot and free). I was stuffed. My mom's half rack of ribs was bigger than my 12-oz. It goes to say that Texas Roadhouse will not leave you wanting. One more recommendation, it goes for a honky to keep feel, but it's still a family restaurant and a popular one at that. Just wanted to say it was a mess from the start. My waitlist was not confirmed when I confirmed twice. So I had to get back on the waitlist wait another 30 mins. We had four adults and 2 babies. It was my daughter's 1st birthday. We continued to wait to be seated. We ordered our food and the food was great. The service was just terrible, we had to remind our waitresses several times about straws, napkins, and butter... She seemed as if she didn't want to work. We didn't get any cups refilled at all, we had to ask twice for everything. Then we got the amazingly cooked food. But she was NOT there when we needed more drinks. By the time we were getting to the end we wanted to order my daughter a brownie for her birthday. We were prepared to have them sing to her. The fact that we didn't even see her after our food was placed we could not order dessert or get a song. We didn't get to go boxes. By this time we were fed up with this services. We had to find our own to go boxes bail on dessert and the song. And paid and left. This was on a $150 order for 4 adults and 2 babies. What a SHITTY way to spend my daughter's birthday we have never had this experience with the Texas Roadhouse on Cinema Ridge. This Live Oak restaurant has bad service these people seem to hate their job. But we just wanted a nice evening birthday dinner for my daughter and our friends. Like wow we had to service ourselves the last 20-25 mins... how ridiculous When I write reviews then it must of been a bad experience because I understand when places are short staffed or it's a weekend and busy but come on it's a Thursday evening at 6pm. I had not been to a Texas Roadhouse in many years. The young lady who seated us told me I would get a free appetizer because it had been a very long time. We were seated and our server came over however he could not hardly hear what I was saying because the music was extremely loud. In fact my Apple Watch warned me of it I ordered the onion in which I remembered this being one of the best besides the bread. My server advised of the appetizer that he would let them know. While waiting for the food the music seemed to get louder and louder so I requested to go boxes. I requested the 4 piece catfish and I emphasized crispy crispy please When it came out it was softly fried. I advised the server I did not want the fish I could not eat it like that but I guess I could have taken it home and fried it crispier. The manager came over to discuss the appetizer she said I was misinformed and she wouldn't take it off and when I told her the catfish wasn't as I requested she said we can fry it harder. Well one thing I don't do is send food back to be prepared over. She was not happy and walked away saying she would take off the catfish but not the appetizer. That's okay. Our server for the most part was very attentive and nice. The onion was tasty I could not eat the other items ordered. First of all the wait wasn't that long 15-20 minutes which surprised us. Service was great and very cordial. I had salmon, sweet potato, and mixed vegetables, and my wife half rack of ribs, baked potato and mixed vegetables. Food was good and of course Texas Roadhouse atmosphere is hyped especially when people are eating those good ole rolls! Sorry forgot to take pictures. If I could put zero I would. Was going for my birthday lunch and was told they would be able to accommodate for 15 people. But would not seat us even though we were only waiting for two more people. Which would mean we would have to wait another 30 minutes to be seated after they arrived. Then when we get to our "table" it's really just two booths that are across the walkway from each other. I don't normally review chain restaurants, but our server was fantastic. Cody was very kind, energetic and quirky. His attentiveness and cheerful attitude lasted throughout our entire experience. He constantly made sure we had everything we needed and kept quick, friendly conversations on his way through. He wasn't just trying to get through another table, but you can tell he really does enjoy what he's doing. The food is also consistent. We've visited around 3 times in 2 years and we can rely on the same quality of our meals every time. The rolls are what I come for, but the steaks are always a delicious. I'm typically not a fan of chain restaurants but Texas roadhouse is doing it right. Those hot rolls with butter they bring out there so good. Reminds me of the days when Black Eyed Peas was around. This location get extremely packed. Be ready to wait. Because he will wait. Luckily we sat at the bar so it wasn't a big deal. Food: The chili was very good. Tasted homemade. The ribs fell off the bone. They were very tender and very tasty. I'm a huge fan of the ribs. Also the half rack of ribs is more than enough for one person. I'm glad I got the half rack and not the full rack. As you can see in the picture below the half rack was more than enough for me. I could barely even finish it. The service was really good, the bartenders are very attentive and make sure they have everything you need to enjoy your meal. We never had to wait even though they were busy, they're doing a great job here. The managers are doing a great job as well. They made it a point to come check on us and greet us on the way out. This same concern on 2 of 3 visits to this Live Oak location. The counter staff is very very rude and un caring. On both we inquiried about the waiting time and rough estimate we would need to wait. The lady was very sharp and often cut off our question with deranged responses. I stated I checked in online and was not sure about the process. On 01/11/25 we had a 1.5 hour wait and got the text to go to the counter to be seated. She actually yelled at us for not getting in the line that was going out the door for people to get on the waiting list. My family and I came here on my husbands birthday during their lunch hours. We checked in online so didn't have to wait too long. The people at the front was really friendly and guided us to our table. Once seated, we were greeted by our server, Simba. He gave us a few minutes to look over the menu and took our down our drinks and orders. He was amazing throughout our entire time there. He always checked back with us to make sure everything was great and also to give us updates on our order. They had their lunch specials but Simba let us know ahead of time of the specials and where we could find the sides (because I'm sure it's something that's always asked). Texas Roadhouse(home) is my husbands favorite. He always gets the roadkill and craves it often. This Roadhouse was very clean, had great Covid protocols and overall great environment. The only thing I didn't love is that the music was pretty loud for lunch time on a Sunday. Food wise- it did take much longer than normal to get our food, which was odd because they weren't super busy. I mentioned my husbands meal above. I got the sirloin, with mashed potatoes and corn. My wife ordered the sirloin & shrimp combo. I ordered an 8 oz. Dallas cut, medium-rare. Service was very prompt - arriving before the appetizer and salad were finished. Unfortunately, I got a 6 oz. Dallas cut and it was well done. I asked to have it replaced. Victoria said a manager would bring out the new dish. Fifteen to twenty minutes later, after my wife had finished dinner, my meal arrived. The manager did not bring it out. It shouldn't have taken that long, so I declined the meal. We paid and left.
