Got my ID renewed after turning 21 a month ago, had my old id (which is still valid, as well as the temporary paper, and has worked anywhere I want to go, even the well know bars for being the "strictest". My friends and I went here, and we are all of age, just look young because we are 21-23, and may I also note I wasn't showing tattoos or wearing makeup, which usually without these expressions, makes me look a little younger. However, I always get mistaken as 25-27 from people that I end up talking to in bars, so I never consider myself to seem immature, especially in the way you are respectful and hold yourself. My server was sweet but made sly comments about how young we were and me being "such a baby" when looking at my ID, and offering mocktails before we could even say hi. I ordered a frozen margarita first to just enjoy with my meal, and immediately got told by the server the manager was not likely to accept my ID, I understand that places have the right to refuse service to anyone, but not having the manager review my old id which was still valid was very disappointing. She proceeds to ask her manager but tells him I only had my paper temporary ID, which would be concerning normally, but failed to mention that I still had a valid ID buy was just marked to say renewed. I didn't make a big deal and said it was fine and just drank water, but I waited 21 years of my life to be legal and not even be able to have a single drink with my steak? We were respectful, tipped well, but there was a bad taste in my mouth over the way I was spoken to by the server (may I note she was great regardless and have no hate towards her service, but the comments regarding how I looked and my age were very off putting), and was not offered by the manager to review my ID with me. If I had gotten more dressed up after a long shift in the morning, would I have not been questioned as hard? I did not push to speak to him as I work in the industry and know there are other things to worry about. If I got pulled over by a police officer and needed to prove my age or identity, the documents I had with me would be more than sufficient as well as LEGAL. Food was cold by the time we got home. Got charged for extra cheese on the baked potato but got no cheese at all. It's usually hard for me to give a chain 5 stars. But we've been coming here for a couple years now and it's always consistent and very good. Maybe the trick is we sit at the bar every time. There are times we have to wait 5-15 minutes, but two seats always open up. And then the bar staff do a great job taking care of us. Let me start off by saying that we love Texas Roadhouse. We went in on Saturday night (5/27/23) to check out the new restaurant and order a steak. I ordered a 12oz Rib Eye, medium rare, with mushrooms and my girlfriend ordered the salmon. Her salmon was great! My steak was cooked well above medium rare, I didn't receive my mushrooms, and the steak had no flavor! It was by far the worst steak I have ever eaten at Roadhouse! read more

Used to live this place. Have gone 2 times to the new location and was disappointed both times. 1st time steaks were all over cooked and cold when they came out. They did fix and recook them. Today we go in order. 25 minutes later here comes our food. 5 minutes after our food arrives hers comes our salads. Again the steaks were cold. Top it off at the table next to us there is a dog on the table eating off a plate. WTH. It may be awhile before I visit the Lubbock Roadhouse again. read more

Ate at new location on New Year's Eve around 4:00. Wait was only 10 minutes. Ordered a NY strip Med, steak arrived well done - you could tell it sat under a heat lamp for a while due to mushrooms and sauce being wilted looking and had a film over it. Service was good, food was meh. read more

I'm A big Fan of Texas Roadhouse, Just not this Lubbock Location. After our visit to it. My wife's Steak Was Not Cooked as she ordered it . She asked for a Medium Rare they brought a well done to our table for her . Therefore ruining our dinner together we had to wait on another steak for her which they did bring out latter which defeats the purpose of eating together when her steak was not at the table when my steak was . This place could not keep up with the amount of customers that were coming in . Long wait times for food .The only employees that were keeping up with anything were the busboys . The wait staff did not monitor their customers tables , drinks ran empty. The building and parking lot may be bigger but it's missing on the inside.I also used the payment card reader at the table and never got the receipt I requested. read more

We were invited to the soft opening at the new location. It was extremely busy, 5pm. I had the Ribeye. It was delicious to say the least. Fantastic flavor and the fat melted in my mouth. I've had Vegas $75 steak that didn't match this. Baked potato cooked perfectly. Yum. My wife had a CFS. It was excellent. Tender on the inside, flavorful, crispy on the outside. My family and I, four of us and a toddler, went to the Roadhouse on Sunday, 3/19/23 at around 3:30PM. It was very crowded, but we only had a 30 minute wait. This was the first time at this new location, and we were "splurging" on steak dinners! When the food was brought to our table, the marshmallows on the sweet potatoes were burned black. When pointed out to the girl who delivered the food she asked what was wrong with them?? About that time our waiter came to the table and I handed him the plate with the sweet potato and he asked what was wrong with it. Finally, I said to just bring more marshmallows and we can scrape the burned ones off! We order cheeseburger sliders off the kids menu for the 3 year old. They were burned hockey pucks and inedible. I ordered my steak medium well, and it was very well done and dry. On the good side, the salad, rolls, grilled shrimp and two of the other steaks were very good. We called ahead of time for a party of 8!!! We showed up waited for over a hr and a half... got the text to gather party we did and the ride talk guy and a Spanish girl tried to tell us they texted us 15 min earlier so they seated someone else... because we was late lol showed him the text said 9:08 on the phone and it was 9:09 and he said that wasn't ours lol.... Then the girl at the door told us it was ready and we went back up there and they said no we will give the next table lol and we ended up leaving. We noticed waitresses were coming out to families and hugging them and then bam they would be being seated!!! And then we go to wait again and a party of 10 come in and they wasn't on the list and the lady told them you will have about 30 min and will be the next big party to be seated.... Needless to say after waiting over 2 hrs we left went to Bubba's 33 where we was seated within 10min and they was so sweet and friendly!!! Then Texas Roadhouse called us and said plz grab your party we are so sorry for the miss up.... No thanks we left.... 2.5 hrs when we called at 7:25 and got put on the list... well not be going back for a long time... read more

I was hoping that the restaurant would make their mistake right. Today it seems like they could have cared less. We had not one but two steaks come out with long black hair on them. When we were leaving, we noticed a man in the kitchen with long black hair, not wearing a hairnet with his hair free-flowing over the food. My son had 3 long hairs in his food. My fiancé had a hair on his steak. We had a party of 9 and 2 of the meals came out 40 minutes after the rest of the family 1 was missing a side still. Then we were told a price for the meal and an added on entrée of shrimp, when we got the ticket it was much more than what we were told. One manager was nice enough and took one steak off the ticket. In all honesty I don't feel like they cared how disgusting this is I feel like neither steak should have been on the ticket and I was half tempted to not eat at all and leave. I had to request a manager just to get any kind of help they offered nothing without me asking even after they told us how embarrassing it was for this to have happened. this is one of our favorite places to eat. however, our last visit was quite the disappointment. we sat at the bar, we usually do. had taelyn as our server. we had to ask if we could order, when food was bought out, all of our steaks were over cooked to well instead of medium. when I mentioned this, and I was nice about it, he said "ok." and offered no solution to the problem. the couple next to us said they had the same issue. then we waited and waited some more to get our check.
