Server was great very accommodating and consistently checking on our table. Received my meal but steak was over cooked when I asked for medium well. Chicken fritters with honey mustard I must say was my favorite. Did not want to let server know about my steak since it was 13 of us. Also ordered Long Island premium first drink was awesome, 2nd drink I could tell had more soda and pre drink was $8 bucks. Overall, we had a great time and would go again. I ordered my meal through a phone call. I have a dairy and wheat allergy, and the staff was extremely accommodating not only was my steak made separately to reduce the risk of cross contamination, my sautéed mushrooms with made with oil instead of butter! Everything tasted so amazing. I genuinely cannot complain about a single thing. My baked potato was great and I got a side of bacon bits, which I loved. It was my first time trying a New York strip ever and I think it's my new favorite cut! The staff was also very kind, and the manager made sure to inform me how everything was prepared in order to reassure me and keep me informed which made the meal taste even better! 10/10 meal! This Texas roadhouse location was absolutely disgusting. I have been to multiple texas roadhouses and this is the worst location I have ever been to. everyone in this establishment smelled like stale cigarettes, and sweat. I lost my appetite within probably five minutes of being in the restaurant. I was gagging on the steak because I could literally taste the cigs. The steak was all fat and everything tasted off. There was dust everywhere. Floor was filthy. Our waiter reeked of milk and black n milds. The table next to us was straight out of the trailer park and they kept taking smoke breaks. The dad at the table may have had too many beers because he was getting rowdy. The rolls took 30 min to arrive. Mind u it was 12pm. Rancid waitor had the audacity to ask if we wanted to go boxes, and WE DID NOT WANT THAT BS!!!!! It reeks in there save your money. read more

This is one of the best, if not the best, Texas Roadhouse location that I have ever been to. The food is so incredibly fresh, and I have never not enjoyed my food from here. I have eaten here on several occasions and thought they deserve a review. All the times I have eaten here, it's been very consistent, excellent service, prompt seating, food is cooked perfectly! I have ate the fried onion appetizer, filet, shrimp, rolls, salad, sweet potato, bake potato and all have been off the charts. The rolls are to die for but I don't care for the cinnamon butter, I just ask for the regular whipped butter. Food tastes fresh and made to order!! Service has always been very attentive and top notch. This is a pretty happening place, always busy, and loud, which is to be expected for a roadhouse restaurant! The wait staff was very friendly and patient! The manager had smoke under pressure! The food ordered for six people all came within 10mins of ordering! Quite commendable as it was very busy! Great lunch experience! Service was excellent (ask for Gabe). This is your standard Texas Roadhouse set up. We only had to wait about 15 or 20 minutes to be seated and this was during lunch on a Sunday! I had the 14 oz Ribeye and it was cooked perfectly! read more

There is a goal, to turn the tables as fast as possible. When you order an appetizer and dinner. The food comes all at the same time. Then the finished plates are not removed. The table is stacked to make you want to leave. The only solution is to order appetizers, hold on to a menu. When you get 80% done, the order dinner. There's nothing on the menu that's less than excellent--steaks, seafood, drinks, etc. Great for take-out when you want some of the best food in town. Wait staff is excellent too. Very kind and professional. On the other hand, they crank up the music so loudly that you can't hear a person sitting across the table from you. If you like excellent food and no conversation, this is the place for you. If you come for any social reason whatsoever--quality family time, business meeting, date, etc.; you'll be sorely disappointed. Music volume is a choice, not a necessary consequence of the Texas Roadhouse experience. Since the food is so good, the wait times for dinner are usually quite punitive. I went to Texas road house with myself and two friends we were seated by a sweet host and loved the food but then this awful rude and intentionally loud manager started yelling at the host in front of everyone. It made me uncomfortable feel awful for the poor girl who from my restaurant experience had done nothing wrong. This manager continued to talk crap about the host to my table and several others. She also asked the table by us to change the lightbulb of their table for her. When we went to leave the same host bagan making snide remarks about how the host doesn't have power to do something in front of us and other guests. She was a bully. Her behavior was Lazy, inappropriate, and was on a power trip unfitting of a manager She should be fired it was uncomfortable unprofessional and inappropriate. I'm a fan of the Texas Roadhouse chain, but have been let down on occasion. This location is one of the better I've experienced in a long time. The restaurant sits back off the road, so look for the sign not the building. The lot was clean and there was plenty of room for parking. The lot was clean. A nice greeting from the hostess upon walking in was appreciated. I was asked if I wanted to chose a steak from the case which I did. A NY strip was marked and the hostess seated us. A friendly waitress warmly greeted us and got drink orders. No peanuts were offered. My son and I did not want them. Drinks and a basket of bread was out quickly. My son got a filet and fries and I reminded her of a NY strip tagged and got a side sweet baked potato loaded. The rolls are my favorite part and yummy! The area around us was now closed and was being swept up of peanut shells. Food hit the table around 20-25 minutes. Both steaks were prepared correctly and tasted delicious! The baked potato tasty! Follow up of food temperature and refills on drinks handled. The bill was brought to the table and quickly processed. Without a doubt this was a solid experience and would happily return. read more

This isn't a mom and pop restaurant clinging to dear life, so I don't feel bad to give one star. I hope this franchise puts customer satisfaction as their top priority and someone upstairs gets alerted of one stars. I travel a lot, and when I see a Roadhouse nearby, I will most likely dine there during my stay. I have ALWAYS been satisfied with their consistency in good service, upbeat atmosphere, food, and overall experience, then this Lynchburg location happened to disappoint. My first time here, the locals said there was limited dining spots out here, but when I heard there's a Roadhouse, I was pretty happy. Came here and had a bad experience. Hostess was giving off a "my job drags, customers are annoying" vibe, she pissed off another customer in front me who was Black, seemed he felt she was ignoring him. Anyways, we get seated, ordered drinks and food. Salad came first and was pretty quick but they got it wrong, then cups of chili, then finally the steaks. That was the last time we saw our server. She did not clear the salad plates and empty chili cups, nor came by to check on us. It's common practice to come by and ask how's the temperature, and usually at Roadhouse a manager will drop by. Also, all the other Roadhouses or at just about any other decent restaurant, it's common practice to clear the appetizer plates n stuff off the table when the main dish arrives. Well look at the time lapse pictures I took where you can see us consuming our steaks down to the end, and the plates have not been cleared - leaving us to dine on a messy table. To add to our fustration, we sat there for a while, food completely finished, table a mess, and look around the restaurant for our server to get our bill. Texas Roadhouse has been a spot that would always over deliver, wherever it was, but this Lynchburg location sucks! They're so busy, they probably don't care who's had a bad experience there. The 2 stars are for the waitress professionalism. I ordered filet and ribs. Received Sirloin and cold ribs. Manager told waitress steak was a filet. Bartender said it was a sirloin. Manager very rude and just said we cut our own steaks and I know that's a filet. Gristle filled filet. You be the judge by looking at pictures They did replace with a real filet after 30 minutes and me refusing sirloin. Albeit it still looked like a sirloin. The cactus blossom we ordered was mostly breading and the little onion that was there was slimy. I ordered the country vegetable plate, which means you pick 4 sides. I got the garden side salad, which was pretty standard. Unfortunately, one of my sides, steamed broccoli, was very undercooked. I decided to take it to go so that I wouldn't waste it and could cook it at home. My husband enjoyed his meal and ordered cheesecake to go. Unfortunately, we left both carry-out containers at our table and NO ONE stopped us on our way out to let us know we forgot it. I would've rated it low without this lack of courtesy, so this takes it all the way down to 1 star. We won't be back. read more

There was a container that was for a side of Mac and cheese but it was empty. Super disappointed. Husband ordered a well done cheeseburger. It was medium and almost completely raw. Called back to let them know. Manager is sending a coupon for half the price we paid. Only reason they aren't getting a one star is because the rest of the food was decent and they did offer to send a coupon for half the price of the food. Hopefully it's better next time read more

This is where you go when you barely want to go to a steakhouse. Ya know? Like if you want to go somewhere that still feels like country cookin + Logan's x Better biscuits, minus professionalism you balance out the scales with Texas Roadhouse. I went with a party of 4, we received a what was later observed to be generic wait time as I witnessed the hostess tell the next 5 groups the exact same thing she told us, "5-15 minutes." Approximately 35 minutes later when we were seated we received great table service, however only 2 of 4 enjoyed their meals. I generally say at a steakhouse why order anything else? But this menu sells nothing harder than pairing a steak with something be that; chicken, shrimp, ribs, etc. so it was definitely unfortunate to see overcooked ribs. Under-described salads, and overall such a shaky experience from and "old faithful" establishment. It'll definitely be another 2 years before considering returning. read more

I am only giving four stars because our server was amazing. Her name was kayla a. she did a great job. However the food was not good. My steak was under cooked and I go it cooked up, it came back out well done. I had ordered medium rare. My grandmothers steak was not good either. The manager that was taking care of everything was not very kind and I also saw her being quite rude to our server shaking her finger in her face while she was waiting to talk to her about something. Actually I've tried twice in the last two months and both meals were very bad. Service just ok, but meal took 30+ minutes to be served. I had the loveliest experience here! I meant to write a review sooner but it slipped my mind. My family had an amazing Mothers Day lunch being hosted by Bella. Despite the restaurant being so busy she made sure to cater to our every need! She even offered to let us pick our own ribeyes in the case. This was our first time choosing Texas Roadhouse for our mothersday meal and now it surely wont be our last! Bella was so kind to me and my family, she definitely deserves a raise! We couldnt find our server through the chaos but easily spotted bella and asked for some boxes which she quickly brought over! Rainy Saturday.... Arrived about 1pm. Busy as expected. Was told the wait was 15-20 minutes, then they realized we needed a high chair.... Push that back to 30. Ok, no problem. At 40 mins we checked and they were waiting for guests to leave. At 55mins we were still not seated. Finally seated at one hour, 5 minutes. I climbed into the booth, noticed that the seat was wet but due to turning the table didn't think much of it. We received bread when we were sat and placed drink orders. We dove into the bread. Then I felt it... drip, I was thinking it was in my head, no way did something drip on me.... We didn't have drinks yet! Drip.... Drip.... Then I look up. Yep, the roof/ceiling is leaking. I climb out of my place in the corner, off to the host station to find a manager. I checked on the table and told them we are moving. My daughter said, taste this? Yep.... Coke was running low and definitely not a correct pour, and the machine was not calibrated correctly. I asked for fresh sodas for the 4 of us that had Coke. They chose to move us. Didn't take into account that we had my one year old niece with us. Put us into 2 booths, in the bar. Needed to get a different seat for the baby. Everyone was situated but we still had no drinks. Another 10-15 minutes, still no drinks. Manager brought us out apps. I had to request fresh silverware. We never received fresh bread plates. After an hour with no food, and 86 sweet potatoes and only pepper jack cheese for the chicken sandwich I cried uncle and the 3 of us in my vehicle left. I left my son money for our bill. The manager never came back to check in. The waitress was trying but it's above her pay grade and frankly I had had enough at that point. I understand the "restaurant" business. I know it's stressful but this just seemed to be ridiculous. If I could give ZERO stars I would! read more

This is single handedly the worst TRH I've ever been to. They're always far too busy to keep up. They do not ever get food out in a timely manner, especially To-Go orders. I truly think they simply over capacitate themselves to the point where they can't operate. I've worked in a busy restaurant before and I know what it's like to keep it running in a way that doesn't overdo it and keeps ALL aspects running efficiently. I've been to multiple other TRH restaurants in much busier cities, and they don't ever feel over-capacitated like this. After 3 visits, aka multiple chances on different days of the week, this one doesn't do it well. read more
