It's been awhile since we've been here and it's became worse! We received undercooked rolls and dirty plates as soon as we walked in. When we asked to speak with the management she pretty much blew us off. I guess the mgr (whitteny) didn't really take our complaint seriously. This is the only place my girlfriend's family every wants to patronize, so I get dragged along often enough. Service is generally excellent. I usually get a rare sirloin and a baked sweet potato. No frills but it's always good. I loathe dining on McGalliard, but it could be a lot worse. read more

Texas Roadhouse had awful customer service today. I went into today, and ordered my meal. Everything was fine. A few more families sat down after order as well. We received rolls and refills on drinks. After an hour, we are wonder where is the food? The store isn't packed whatsoever. They had plenty of employees working as well. We ask our server to check into it. After some time. He, our sever said they were finishing the meals. At that point we asked for the meals to go. More time has passed and every other families near us began to get their meal. So what really going on? We go ahead and pay. After more time we move near the front of the restaurant and wait for our meal (so other families could sit) I asked for a business card to express my frustrations to a member of the management team. We ask to speak to a members of management as well. The store owner came out and my friend expressed their frustrations. The owner says he went ahead and took care of our meals. Not to mention money was already paid. A refund was requested and we were told we could not receive cash. He states our meal ticket was LOST in the kitchen. Why was that not brought to our attention? Why did your employee tell us that our food was almost ready! Clearly, that was a lie. The owner goes back to the kitchen. Another employee, not sure if she was a manager or just a server approaches my friend and got into an verbal altercation. She did not care about our frustrations. At this point we feel like that scenario was racial motivated. The verbal altercation just got bad. The owner came out gave us our food. No refund, no nothing. The altercation lasted an entire 5 minutes. I'm still wondering where was our food. I'll never eat their again. Then they just threw the meal together. read more

We went in a got seated right away. That's always a plus. It goes downhill quickly after that. The rolls were very disappointing- burnt and left a bad after taste. We were brought a second basket of more burnt rolls that weren't edible. I ordered a hamburger plain and without cheese (yes, just a bun and a patty). My hamburger comes out with everything on it. There were hardly any seasoning on the fries. The size of my patty would be something I could get at Burger King. The food was good, but nothing to brag about. The service, atmosphere and management wasn't any better. The ladies seating were very nice and friendly. We got seated in the bar area. It felt like we were at a local bar. Workers were all huddled around together talking- not doing much work. We weren't asked if we wanted an appetizer. The server was not friendly. I did not get asked if I would like a refill until after I was done with my meal. The server didn't care that my food was wrong. They all were too concerned about going and hanging at the bar with everyone. They all were being unprofessional. read more

Waiter ( Miranda ) was horrible , all I asked was for another thing of rolls, she roles her eyes looking like basic white girl at Starbucks who didn't get her iced coffee with 2 shots of espresso and extra caramel, then I ask for a to go order and she continues to have an attitude , I'm sitting here with the empty cup of water for the past 20 minutes just ignoring my empty cup while it stands there begging for hydration while my body is aching for more water . Waited 30 minutes for some chicken critters . The seat I was sitting in was harder then a jail cells bed. Once I got my food the side of loaded backed potato (which I was mouth watering over) was cold and no more saltier then the ocean . I'm not fond of Texas Roadhouse's food, but my family wanted some rolls for a family function. I called when they opened and asked for 3 dozen rolls. They told me they would be done at 11:30. I got there at 11:36 and had to wait 5 mins to get service. Then they told me it would be another 8 mins for the rolls to be done. I finally got my rolls at noon. Last time I checked, that is not how a take out order worked. I had a very unpleasant experience. read more

Very poor customer service. Arrived on a Tuesday evening early to get tables for a party of 10 around 5:30. Was informed they could only accommodate 7 at the largest table. They said they could not guarantee seating in close proximity. No big deal. Then, with plenty of tables open, they would not seat me until everyone in the party arrived. We had people coming in from various areas in Muncie so I knew it would be 20 minutes or so. In the mean time, other large parties arrived and I got the feeling it would be whose ever party arrived (in full) first would get the one and only large table. Atmosphere is dark and dreary with very loud music. Young ladies at the front could use customer service training. I called Applebee's and they held a table for us with no questions. We left. Sorry Texas Roadhouse, you missed out on a $60 tip for 2 hrs work. read more

I always love going to Texas Roadhouse, but when I went this time, the lettuce in my salad was basically frozen! I have never had this happen before and by the time my waitress finally showed up, it ha almost thawed out. We were there on Saturday with a group of 14 celebrating a Birthday. We were split between 2 tables of 6 on complete opposite sides of the restaurant! My husband, daughter and I were the last to arrive. When we realized how they sat us we asked to speak to a manager. When the manager came out we expressed our concern about the seating arrangement and he made us feel like an inconvenience. His exact words were "what do you expect coming in here with 14 people on a Saturday night"! Well I expected to at least be closer to the other half of our party since we were there celebrating a Birthday! My husband and I are both FOH managers in restaurants and we would never treat people like this in our restaurants! So since we didn't have a place to sit because they only gave us 12 seats for our party of 14 my husband and I left our daughter(who was in tears at this point because she wanted to stay and celebrate with her friends) and went to Olive Garden and had a fantastic experience! Needless to say we will never visit a Texas Roadhouse again! read more

We called ahead and were told they could seat the 8 of us. When we arrived we had to split our group into two booths. Waited 50 minutes for our food after ordering. Some of the food was cold, some looked as if had been sitting under a heat lamp for quite a while, and my steak was well done even though I ordered medium. Our waitress, Destiny, was horrible! She was busy but was giving most of her attention to the other two tables. She took our order for an appetizer but never came back to take our meal order. We had to get her attention and ask if she could take our order. She apologized. We then had to ask her for more bread and more drinks. She said that the back was running behind in washing glasses. Here's an idea: bring out a pitcher of water and fill the glasses. It's not like we were asking a lot, just for the basics. She never smiled but instead treated us as if we were a bother, yet she was all smiles for the larger group next to us. I was very disappointed. The service was about a 0/10. I waited about an hour for an appetizer that didn't even come out and the waiter's excuse was that he hasn't eaten all day and that he was in the back eating. I got a big discount on my meal and the food was delicious, but we had to wait about 2 hours for it to come out, and the first time it did, the food was freezing and not even the right steak. It's a good chain steak restaurant. Five of us quickly seated around 3pm on a Friday. Quick and polite service. Orders were all correct and food served hot and fast. Server recognized us as veterans and offered us a discount. Thanked us for our service. It was a nice meal and I'd go there again. read more

Awesome place to go when the whole family is in town. Long waits if you go at their busy time; however, awesome service either way. Lots of parking. Steak Kabobs with steak sauce is an awesome combination that I highly recommend. Expensive but you get a ton of food for the price. read more

Non acceptable service from Brad on 2/21/17 at 8:30 pm. Had to ask him multiple times to bring what it was requested. When placing orders he told my wife not to order what she wanted (steak fried steak) " it is nasty" he said. We ordered two salads and they were all wrong. Another person in the group order a steak and she was served a burned meat. When asked the manager to do something about it she was very rude. Being from Texas it is angering that such place carries my State's name. Will never visit any of this chain establishments ever again. Well, where do I begin. There were four of us and we waited for over an hour to be seated on a Monday night. Our waitress was prompt to greet us, but that was as good as it gets. We all ordered the same thing, except my wife and I ordered our road kill medium and potato with butter and sour cream. My parents ordered their road kill well done and potato with butter only. Pretty simple you would think, but after over 45 minutes, she brought our food and give my parents ours and vice versa. During our wait for our food, the only way we got our drinks refilled was to get her attention as she stood at the bar conversing with a friend and not attending her tables. The times she did walk by our table, she never picked up our empty plates, the other waitresses did. Our waitress was horrible! Something has changed at this Road House because their service and food use to be fantastic. When we did finally get our meal, or road kill was much smaller than usual and not very good. To top of our not so wonderful experience, as my father was paying our waitress in cash, she ask if he wanted any change and as he paused out of total shock of the question, she said well being you paused, you must want your change. Luckily my father was nice and left her a small tip, because I wasn't leaving one, she didn't deserve it. I'm not sure if my family and I will ever return again. My wife and I are fairly regular patrons of the McGalliard Texas Roadhouse and we usually order the same thing every time we go. My wife orders the 6 oz. filet with a baked potato and I get the 8 oz filet with a baked potato. First I want to say that we have never had a bad steak at Roadhouse and this visit was no exception. On this particular evening, a different server - not the server assigned to our table - brought our steaks out and informed us that the baked potatoes would be another 15 minutes. I inquired as to why they would bring out 1/2 our meal instead of waiting until it was complete and we were told they were "behind" with the potatoes. At that point we were asked if we would like a different "side" with our steaks. We declined and the server left. Shortly thereafter our original server came to the table to see if we had received our order and we shared our puzzlement as to why we were receiving our meal in bits and pieces. The server had no idea so she went to an assistant manager "Cody" who presented himself shortly at our table, ... and basically repeated what the first server had told us and once again offered to get us a different "side". Again we indicated that we were not interested in anything other than what we ordered and to please bring the other half of our meal as soon as possible. He then left to check on the baked potatoes. Shortly thereafter, as we were finishing our steaks, our original server returned and asked if the manager had been to our table. We told her that a young man named Cody was here, listened to our concern, and he had headed back into the kitchen to check on our order. At this point the server said she was going to try to find the actual manager (Mark Horton) for us to speak to. As the server left Cody returned to our table with two potatoes, apologized for the delay (we had finished our other food) and left. As we cut into the potatoes we found that neither of them were "baked" . . .more like "warmed". Shortly thereafter Mark Horton, the manager, appeared at our table and was obviously irritated that we had "bothered" him . . . I explained that we had never had such a problem with getting our order and he brashly informed me that the reason the potatoes were delayed was because they had an oven problem . . . and that he was working on that problem when he had to come out to see what we wanted. I then showed him the partially cooked potatoes that were brought to us ... he looked at them and asked us if we would like a different side !. It seemed to irritate him even more when we told him no, that we were basically done with our meal, and his response was "OK, then I will take these back". He then picked up the two plates and left. My wife and I were speechless . . . we have never seen such rude and indifferent behavior by someone in "management". The server was watching from a distance and came over right after he left and wanted to know what had occurred. We shared our astonishment with her, paid our tab, and, as we were leaving I asked the receptionist at the front door for the managers name so I could record this complaint properly. As I finish writing this I am still dumbfounded as to the blatant indifference this manager had regarding our experience. read more
