    12oz Ribeye with loaded potato
    Ken A.

Easy to pull in to park. Went in around 6pm on Thursday and was seated right away. The app said there was no wait so it was right! Surprised at how quiet it was, we were able to have a nice conversation at our table without having to talk loudly. Bread was warm and good. Orders came quick. Although the ribeye In ordered was a little tough to eat. We paid at the table thru scanning the table QR code which was certainly convenient as we did not have to wait for the server to bring the check.

I had seen my Aunt Laurie while I was home in NH visiting my family @ my nephew's high school graduation party. It had been awhile since I've seen Aunt Laurie so we made plans to get together for lunch while I was home & we ended up coming here. I met Aunt Laurie on June 21, 2023 around noon for lunch. She was there waiting for me. It wasn't crazy busy but there was a good amount of people in there for lunch then it died down. Well come to find out Aunt Laurie LOVES this place & comes here often. We got her favorite waitress, Lynn V and she was really nice. I ordered a drink and opted out of ordering an appetizer only because I usually fill up on them & then I don't have much room for my main course. Laurie got steak tips with sweet potato, one of her favorite dishes and it looked good! I'm not a big steak tip fan but I do LOVE mac & cheese so I got a side of that with chicken tenders. They were both yummy!! Tasted fresh, full of flavor & the chicken was moist. Aunt Laurie introduced me to Lynn and she was very nice to the two of us, I can see why Laurie likes her. She's a good waitress. I use to be a waitress back in my 20's so I'm always looking to how other wait staff treat me while I'm out to eat. She greeted me right away, took a drink order and shortly after she brought our food out she came back to make sure everything was OK. I don't believe I've ever been here before. Years ago I did visit a Longhorn in FL & don't recall any issues @ that location I was @. I'm definitely coming back here when I'm back in NH. Thanks Lynn for doing such a great job & being so friendly. Kudos to the chef's who got the food on point!!

The food is consistently good. I've been to this specific Longhorns 4 times in 2 years as I live in Hawaii. All 4 times I get the "FLO" filet mignon and it's super tender and cooked to perfection. The service was EXCEPTIONAL and her name was Kasey with a "K"! She made our family of 6 siblings enjoy a fantastic night out together. Thanks Kasey for being so awesome! You helped make our evening special. We will be back again and again as consistency rules! Great quality for a very reasonable price.

I was hankering for a reasonably priced steak and hadn't been here in about a decade so off we went! Place was clean, our server was great! Steaks were good! Flavorful, cooked to our liking, exactly what I wanted. Brussels sprouts were tasty as was the street corn, although the topping was a little bland. The stand out?? That feta strawberry salad! Super fresh and so flavorful and crisp, just great. It was nice to see that they have remained consistent. We got the regular ribeye and the cowboy ribeye.

I am here in a work trip and I ate here both days of my trip. The food and service was top tier. I have never been to a longhorn that the food was amazing and fresh and the servers were the most polite young ladies and men! Keep up the great work.

A great selection of seafood apps, and a variety of meat options in the entree section (steak, chicken, lamb, short rib, duck) and a couple of vegetarian items. Something for everyone. It was a Tuesday night and pouring rain. We arrived without a reservation. It was very busy. The bar and restaurant were full. There were two side bar seats available which we happily took while we waited for a table. We had a delicious cosmo and a glass of prosecco while we waited. The server let us know our table was ready, and we did not need to settle our bar tab before going to the table. I love that! I find it inconvenient when restaurants ask people to do that. The server even took our sopping umbrellas and put them in the umbrella stand by the door for us. So nice! We tried 2 appetizers, the Caribbean Curry Mussels and the Seared Ahi Tuna. I can't decide which one I loved more. Both were fantastic. The broth the mussels were in was so flavorful, rich, salty, not spicy, coconut deliciousness. I wanted to eat it all like a soup. There was no bread served with the mussels to soak up the broth...which I would have loved, but not having it did save me some carbs. The seared tuna was absolute perfection. Very slightly seared and served with a well dressed seaweed salad and two sauces (coulis style ) a charred jalapeño aioli and a mango coulis. For dinner we shared the arugula salad with strawberries and goat cheese (although there was very little goat cheese) in a delicious poppy seed vinaigrette, and the miso Marinaded seared salmon with sticky rice and mango salsa. The salmon was fantastic...perfectly cooked, very flavorful, the sticky rice was so delicious and chewy, and the mango salsa added sweetness. I love that they split the salad into two dishes for us. I love when restaurants do this. It's a nice touch to acknowledge the server was listening the we intend to share, and to make it easier for us to do so. And we shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio. I will be back!

Fresh lobster with a great cheese combination. The crisp of the ritz crackers really brings the entire dish together. Good amount for the price. Would recommend. - Baked Artichoke Dip - $16 - Deliciously cheesy without everything feeling too heavy. Good amount of pita bread too! Would also order this again.

The food was very good and fairly priced. Unfortunately, that's where the good experience ended. Upon arrival, our server, Joe, brought over three glasses of water without any greeting or acknowledgment - just dropped them on the table and walked away. No "hello," no "welcome." When he returned to take our order, he seemed rushed and walked away before we could even finish giving our drink order. He only took my mother-in-law's drink order. When I asked about wine options, he handed me a cocktail menu and walked off again without asking my wife what she wanted. She had to call after him just to place her order. Things didn't improve. After waiting 10-15 minutes with no follow-up, my wife had to go to the bar herself to order my drink. It took multiple attempts to get his attention, and when she finally did, he barely acknowledged her - no eye contact, just a dismissive "yeah, OK." Our food was eventually delivered by someone else, who was pleasant. However, Joe never once returned to check on us. No follow-up on the meal, no offer for refills, nothing. We had to track him down just to get the check. I ultimately went up myself to ask for the bill and even asked if we had done something to upset him. He blamed it on being busy and a shift change, which didn't make sense. The restaurant was only about a quarter full, with plenty of open seating. Shift change also doesn't explain being completely absent for nearly an hour. To make matters worse, he didn't even bring the receipt back rather another server did. This was our first visit, and it will likely be our last. There are far too many great dining options in Portsmouth to accept this level of service. In 63 years, this is the first time I've ever chosen not to leave a tip.

At Newicks we each were served at least a pound of scallops, perfectly cooked with fries, Cole slaw and tartar sauce. A true scallop feast! I wish I had room to try some of their offered desserts but the abundance of wonderful seafood served quickly and with smiles made that physically impossible. I love this place and will. Their regular hours are 11am to 2pm weekdays, closed on work holidays. There is ample seating in this office lunchroom, which is also home to The Juicery and Tradeport Pizza counters. I stopped by The Daily Press on my day off from work. They already sold out of mac & cheese by the time I arrived here. I decided to place my order online since I could take my time and choose what I wanted with customizations. I ordered 2 items including the Backyard Smashburger ($10 plus tax) and the Hulla Dilla ($11 plus tax). My order was ready in about 13 minutes after placing my online order. They also have a lunch club card program too, great if you work in the area. The Backyard Smashburger had a grilled beef burger patty, BBQ pulled pork, cole slaw, tomatoes, pickles, American cheese, and added crispy onions, lettuce, and Press sauce too on a toasted roll. I also got the Hulla Dilla ($11 plus tax) which was a pressed quesadilla with grilled chicken, grilled pineapple, caramelized onions, pepper jack cheese, teriyaki sauce between grilled soft flour tortillas. Both were very tasty and filling. I finished the Backyard Burger and saved most of the Hulla Dilla for dinner later on. If The Daily Press ever opened a location in Concord, I would very likely gain a whole lot of weight eating here.
