Haven't been here in 2 years but friends invited me for early dinner after playing pickle ball. We arrived at 4 pm and pretty busy. Greeted at door and saw steaks in deli case. All numbered to chose if u want as dinner. The rib eyes looked great. We did decide on two rib eyes and one fried chicken dinner. Baked and sweet potatoes, salads, corn and of course hot muffins. Let me just start by saying the service there is very good but the food, well.... We arrived at 11:30 and were immediately seated. Our table looked clean, but I immediately smelled what reminded me of our son's sweaty football gear stored overnight in the garage. IYKYK. The table was obviously wiped with a dirty moldy wet towel most likely one from the day prior. Our server Anastasia was extremely nice and yes, she still got the 20% tip because nothing here was under her control. We ordered and after approximately 20 minutes we noticed patrons around us started to fill up the booths and their food had arrived well after we had ordered. Anastasia came by, told us our food was next out and she placed more bread on the table. At the 30-minute mark, our food had arrived and it "looked" very good. My wife took a bite of her mashed potatoes and grimaced. They were cold, even in the center. We also ordered the sampler platter, which arrived with the meal? Although the plating was great, it was all luke warm and pretty much tasted like over salted bowling alley food. We've never had a server take back food in this rare situation because of horror stories on what is returned. We did tell Anastasia about it and she apologized profusely and offered us another plate. We already waited a half-hour for our meal and wasn't doing that again. My warm steak was decent if you didn't mind it topped with cold mushrooms (gross). The steak came with a processed chicken filet with bbq sauce on it (also luke warm). I was expecting real bbq chicken but the cafeteria stuff I received was baaaaad. Children are standing in the booths. It feels like some 100 servers are rushing around. Overwhelming and uncomfortable. Price: Best part of our experience. Extremely affordable. Almost everything on menu has a good base cost and they prompt you with a dozen different upcharges to customize. If it sounds like I didn't like it, it's because I didn't! We were a party of 5 on 3/29/26 after Church We had to repeat order more than 2 times, still orders were in correct. My grand daughter got the "Ranger" steak and fries. The steak looked to be a little chewy, but she enjoyed it. I got the steak kabobs, switched out the rice for fries and had a salad. They cook them like you want , a big plus. My son got a New York and really enjoyed it, my DIL got a rib eye and rib combo. She loved the steak but the ribs were okay. We had just come from a nearby high school wrestling tournament so he was engaged and friendly which was great. I've now eaten at Texas Roadhouse in Corona, here, Henderson NV, and Orlando, FL and they all are consistently good with the staff and quality excellent... talked to the managers and they all say that they take the best managers to train the staff at each new location to make sure the quality of the meat and sides have the same standards... the only other establishment I know that has that standard is In N Out... which takes the best staff to train the other new staff on how to make the best quality food... We have always enjoyed Texas Roadhouse steaks. They have always been cooked to perfection and even cheaper cuts like sirloin are tender. But today, they disappointed us. Our 8 ounce sirloins were thinner than usual as if they have butterflied the steaks to create 2 steaks. They were also more tough to chew than usual. We go to the Roadhouse on a regular basis. As usual our server, Ricardo, was great. My order, the Road Kill, was excellent. My wife's order, 8 ounce New York, was mostly good. The issue was that it had an abnormal amount of fat and gristle. This is where the visit turned. Whoever the floor manager was, who comes by the table to see if everything is alright, left me speechless. When my wife showed what was left on her plate, the manager(her) response was that sometimes that happens. There was not a hint of any apology in her response.
